:00:07. > :00:13.This is BBC world News Today, broadcasting in the UK and around

:00:14. > :00:17.the world. More trouble for Donald Trump. Two more women accusing the

:00:18. > :00:23.Republican candidate for the White House of sexual misconduct.

:00:24. > :00:33.Thousands of Thais gather to mourn the King. During a visit to Germany,

:00:34. > :00:37.Nigeria's president tells his wife to know her place after she

:00:38. > :00:41.criticises his government. I don't know which party my wife belongs to.

:00:42. > :00:49.She belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room. How

:00:50. > :00:54.is this for a cage fight with a great white? The moment they die

:00:55. > :01:12.they came face-to-face with a killer shark. -- a diver. In the US, two

:01:13. > :01:15.more women have come forward alleging Donald Trump of sexual

:01:16. > :01:20.assault. One of them, a former contestant on his TV show the

:01:21. > :01:23.apprentice said he targeted her when they were discussing employment

:01:24. > :01:29.opportunities. The allegations were made in a press conference. Mr

:01:30. > :01:33.Trump, when I met you I was so impressed with your talents that I

:01:34. > :01:43.wanted to be like you. I wanted a role in your organisation. Instead

:01:44. > :01:47.you treated me as somebody to be hit upon. I was embarrassed by your

:01:48. > :01:55.sexual advances and share this information with people close to me.

:01:56. > :01:58.Mr Trump, you were interested in me only because you wanted a sexual

:01:59. > :02:03.relationship with me and for no other reason. After hearing the

:02:04. > :02:06.released audio tapes and your denials during the debate I felt I

:02:07. > :02:14.had to speak out about your behaviour. You do not have the right

:02:15. > :02:19.to treat women as sexual objects just because you are a star. Mr

:02:20. > :02:22.Trump has been campaigning in North Carolina and has yet to comment on

:02:23. > :02:29.the allegation but he has branded his other accusers as being horrible

:02:30. > :02:32.liars. Katty Kay is in Washington. . Thanks for joining us. Things have

:02:33. > :02:39.been moving pretty quickly. At the same time Donald Trump was trying

:02:40. > :02:43.dispel existing accusations, you could turn to another channel and

:02:44. > :02:49.see fresh accusations. Extraordinary, it is unravelling

:02:50. > :02:55.quickly. You heard the woman there, Summer Zervos, saying that Mr Trump

:02:56. > :03:01.made advances in 2007 and there is another woman who is being reported

:03:02. > :03:04.by the Washington Post, Kristin Anderson, saying she met Donald

:03:05. > :03:08.Trump in a nightclub in New York in the 90s and he made unwanted sexual

:03:09. > :03:20.advances towards her, that he put his hand up her skirt. A split it --

:03:21. > :03:23.explicit accounts from these women. There are 11 who have accused him of

:03:24. > :03:30.unwanted advances. The campaign has not responded to these accusations

:03:31. > :03:34.but Donald Trump did a rally this afternoon at the same time as this

:03:35. > :03:37.accusation from Summer Zervos was coming out and he said that some of

:03:38. > :03:41.these women were doing it for their moment of fame. He said that they

:03:42. > :03:47.will get some free fame and he called them phoney accusers. We know

:03:48. > :03:50.that many senior Republicans have distanced themselves from Mr Trump

:03:51. > :03:55.but there are those who are sticking with him, what have they been saying

:03:56. > :04:03.about these allegations? I spoke to one of them this morning on a TV

:04:04. > :04:08.show this morning, Ben Carson, who ran for the presidency himself, he

:04:09. > :04:11.is a supporter of Donald Trump. I asked him if he thought these women

:04:12. > :04:16.were lying, these accusers against Donald Trump. He didn't answer the

:04:17. > :04:19.question but he asked for my microphone to be cut off, so I guess

:04:20. > :04:26.he did not want to answer the Western. Absolutely. President Obama

:04:27. > :04:33.was in the cross hairs of Donald Trump, he was campaigning for Mrs

:04:34. > :04:42.Clinton but it seems that he has been targeted by Mr Trump and he had

:04:43. > :04:48.some strong words. This has been a theme of the last 24, 48 hours from

:04:49. > :04:52.the Trump campaign. What is happening is that Donald Trump is

:04:53. > :04:58.setting himself up as being the sole defender of his message against

:04:59. > :05:00.effectively the rest of the world, against President Obama, Hillary

:05:01. > :05:06.Clinton, the Republican party and the crooked media. The most

:05:07. > :05:12.criticism over the last 24 hours has been against the press, who he say

:05:13. > :05:16.is in collusion with the Clinton campaign. It is almost as if, having

:05:17. > :05:22.seen the pulse and how badly they are doing for him, there is some

:05:23. > :05:28.sense that things are going so badly for them, why not attack everybody?

:05:29. > :05:34.I must say that his supporters love this, they are thrilled to see

:05:35. > :05:37.Donald Trump in attack mode. They love to see him attacking Hillary

:05:38. > :05:42.Clinton and the media, it works well for those rallies he is holding but

:05:43. > :05:48.I'm afraid it does not get him other voters, which he needed he is going

:05:49. > :05:53.to win the White House. Thank you for joining us. We will hear more

:05:54. > :05:59.later. Katty Kay has been to Ohio to hear more from people there about

:06:00. > :06:04.the campaign. Thousands of Thais have gathered at Bangkok's royal

:06:05. > :06:08.palace to mourn King Bhumibol Adulyadej who died on Thursday. His

:06:09. > :06:13.body was brought to a palace in convoy as weeping mourners lined the

:06:14. > :06:16.streets. Millions watched on TV. The Crown prince has been named as

:06:17. > :06:20.successor but he has asked for a delay in the process and a former

:06:21. > :06:27.Prime Minister has been named as the Regent.

:06:28. > :06:36.This is the grand Palace, the King's body is there after an emotional day

:06:37. > :06:42.in Bangkok, tens of thousands of people taking to the streets. There

:06:43. > :06:47.are still large numbers of people here wearing black, the colour of

:06:48. > :06:52.mourning. It will be a year mourning for King King Bhumibol Adulyadej who

:06:53. > :07:01.died in hospital yesterday and today he's body was brought to Bangkok, to

:07:02. > :07:09.the grand Palace. Emotional scenes, people kneeling down, praying, many

:07:10. > :07:15.of them openly weeping. For many people in Thailand he is the only

:07:16. > :07:20.monarch they have known, unifying figure in many years of dramatic

:07:21. > :07:30.change in Thailand and considerable political upheaval. So his death has

:07:31. > :07:35.been very keenly felt here. There is a degree of worry about what comes

:07:36. > :07:41.next. Thailand is to mark the King's death for a year. Here is a look at

:07:42. > :09:18.how people are likely to observe that mourning period.

:09:19. > :09:24.Reaction in Thailand to the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. She

:09:25. > :09:28.campaigned vigorously for her husband in Nigeria's election two

:09:29. > :09:33.years ago but there has been a warning that she may not again back

:09:34. > :09:38.him unless he shakes up his government. The presidents button to

:09:39. > :09:40.shake up his government but according to his wife he does not

:09:41. > :09:46.know many of his top officials. She said it was time that her husband

:09:47. > :09:49.listens to his supporters. The president has shot back at his

:09:50. > :09:57.wife's comments telling her, in his opinion, where it two in his

:09:58. > :10:00.opinion, where she belongs. I don't know what party my wife belongs to

:10:01. > :10:12.but she belongs to my Kitching and my living room. And the other room.

:10:13. > :10:25.I was in the field for 12 years. I tried three times. The first time I

:10:26. > :10:35.managed to succeed. I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of

:10:36. > :10:41.the opposition. In Nigeria, mixed reaction and some people saying on

:10:42. > :10:49.social media that the president is behaving like Donald Trump. Many

:10:50. > :10:57.people, especially women's groups and other activists, have condemned

:10:58. > :11:00.his reaction. Some on social media comparing him with the Republican

:11:01. > :11:07.presidential candidate, Donald Trump, while others are saying that

:11:08. > :11:10.President Mohamed may be a good leader but is a bad husband

:11:11. > :11:23.according to them. Others are asking, where was she is campaigning

:11:24. > :11:28.for him? Some are saying that he was joking and in the last few minutes,

:11:29. > :11:33.the President's spokesman has issued a statement saying the president was

:11:34. > :11:39.joking when he said that his wife belongs to the kitchen. He wasn't

:11:40. > :11:47.referring to her or trying to lower her status at all. Still to come:

:11:48. > :11:58.the sound of history repeating itself, the Battle of Hastings

:11:59. > :12:00.recreated 950 years on. Parts of San Francisco least affected by the

:12:01. > :12:05.earthquake are returning to life but in the marina area they are more

:12:06. > :12:15.conscious than ever of how much has been destroyed. In the 19 years

:12:16. > :12:19.since he was last here he has moved on. It was a 20 be vomited blood on

:12:20. > :12:24.the fifth floor of the hotel, ripping a fold in the hotel. This

:12:25. > :12:43.government will not weaken. Democracy will prevail.

:12:44. > :13:04.The nation held its breath and then the bells rang out and Chile rang

:13:05. > :13:07.out an enormous roar. The headlines: two more women have come forward to

:13:08. > :13:12.accuse Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump of sexual

:13:13. > :13:18.assault. Thousands of Thais have gathered at Bangkok's royal palace

:13:19. > :13:21.for late-night vigil to mourn King Bhumibol Adulyadej. A former Prime

:13:22. > :13:25.Minister has unexpectedly been named as regent.

:13:26. > :13:27.US Secretary of State John Kerry and the Russian Foreign Minister

:13:28. > :13:30.Sergei Lavrov will hold fresh talks on Syria in Switzerland on Saturday.

:13:31. > :13:34.The Syrian President has been speaking to a Russian newspaper.

:13:35. > :13:36.He remains unapologetic over his force's actions in Aleppo -

:13:37. > :13:40.This is what he had to say about his army's attempt

:13:41. > :13:56.From the military point of view, it could be the springboard as a big

:13:57. > :14:03.City to move in to other areas. You have to keep cleaning this area and

:14:04. > :14:09.push back the terrorists to where they come from or to kill them. This

:14:10. > :14:12.will be an important springboard to do this move. Some other stories

:14:13. > :14:15.now. The trial of the Dutch

:14:16. > :14:17.anti-immigrant politician, After a judge in The Hague

:14:18. > :14:21.dismissed his lawyer's attempts to have hate speech

:14:22. > :14:23.charges thrown out. The allegations against the leader

:14:24. > :14:25.of the right-wing Freedom Party, stem from comments he made

:14:26. > :14:30.at a rally in 2014. A pair of 13-month-old twins

:14:31. > :14:32.conjoined at the head have been successfully separated after 16

:14:33. > :14:34.hours of surgery in Doctors say Jadon and Anias McDonald

:14:35. > :14:40.are recovering from the marathon surgery and that they have a long

:14:41. > :14:43.road of recovery and rehabilitation Americans travelling to Cuba will be

:14:44. > :14:50.allowed to bring home more of the island's coveted cigars

:14:51. > :14:52.and rum under new measures announced by the US government on Friday

:14:53. > :14:55.to further ease trade and travel The news will be welcomed

:14:56. > :14:58.by the Cuban government, which wants the decades-old US

:14:59. > :15:12.embargo to be totally lifted. Some breaking news now. In the last

:15:13. > :15:18.few minutes the US Transportation Department has said that all Samsung

:15:19. > :15:23.Galaxy Note seven devices will be banned on all flights. Passengers

:15:24. > :15:31.attempting to carry them on board a flight will be fined or have them

:15:32. > :15:40.confiscated. The policy comes in on Saturday. Saint-Sa ns -- Samsun

:15:41. > :15:46.suspended sales after reports the phones catching fire.

:15:47. > :15:48.Let's return to our top story - the US presidential election -

:15:49. > :15:51.there's just 24 days left in the race to the White House.

:15:52. > :15:54.The election is won and lost in the swing states.

:15:55. > :15:57.Ohio is one of those - and it's a must win for Donald Trump

:15:58. > :16:00.because no Republican candidate has ever won the Presidency without it.

:16:01. > :16:02.Despite losing popularity in the polls, fortunately for him

:16:03. > :16:05.at least, the loss of manufacturing jobs in Ohio has led some

:16:06. > :16:09.Democrats to rethink their political loyalties.

:16:10. > :16:12.The BBC's Katty Kay visited Lorain, in the north of the state

:16:13. > :16:23.This is the story of Lorain Ohio, the town that globalisation left

:16:24. > :16:27.behind. A hard road for many people in this community. When you walked

:16:28. > :16:33.out of high school and got your diploma, you could get a job the

:16:34. > :16:37.next day, the Shipyard, Ford, but we don't have that any more. Mark is a

:16:38. > :16:43.lifelong Democrat who has switched parties in order to vote for Donald

:16:44. > :16:46.Trump. I'm upset, discouraged with the government, people's lives at

:16:47. > :16:51.stake, people losing their houses. Mike doesn't like what Trump says

:16:52. > :16:55.about women and immigrants but they'd be months ago he met the

:16:56. > :17:03.candidate here at this diner and he was impressed. I'm voting for my

:17:04. > :17:09.job. I asked a lot of questions. I didn't particularly care for a lot

:17:10. > :17:13.of the answers, being a union steelworker but they were honest. On

:17:14. > :17:16.the main drag the Clinton campaign makes a splash but they know that

:17:17. > :17:23.Trump has tapped into something here. I was born here but I have

:17:24. > :17:27.lived here my whole life. This man's family has been here for four

:17:28. > :17:31.nations and Lorain has been union country and it should be Hillary

:17:32. > :17:35.country. I think people are upset and they have seen that the status

:17:36. > :17:40.quo is not going well for us, we need to do more and build an economy

:17:41. > :17:45.that... I think that is what Secretary Clinton is pushing. Closed

:17:46. > :17:50.factories littering northern Ohio, ghostly cathedrals to another time,

:17:51. > :17:55.before the double blow of free trade and automation. When factories that

:17:56. > :18:00.used to employ hundreds of workers now look like this, it's not

:18:01. > :18:05.surprising that people are angry. It is more human to blame other

:18:06. > :18:11.countries or immigrants than it is to blame computer chips and robots.

:18:12. > :18:16.This plant is as much the story of technology as of trade. Susan is a

:18:17. > :18:20.professor of economics who spent a few years working in the Obama

:18:21. > :18:25.administration. We've had a particular kind of globalisation,

:18:26. > :18:29.large multinationals worrying about things like intellectual property

:18:30. > :18:34.but they don't protect Labour rights or environmental rights so you have

:18:35. > :18:42.a globalisation that is really rewarding competition based on who

:18:43. > :18:45.can mistreat their workers in the -- and the environment more. The

:18:46. > :18:48.candidates can promise the moon but these steel meals will never provide

:18:49. > :18:54.jobs and livelihoods the way they used to. A new industry will have to

:18:55. > :19:05.revive Lorain. That is a challenge for whoever is the next president.

:19:06. > :19:13.with rugby union and the European Champions Cup is underway with a

:19:14. > :19:14.bad-tempered match. Glasgow currently 25-13 up against

:19:15. > :19:47.Leicester. Richard Conway was in Zurich where a

:19:48. > :19:52.two day meeting is taking place. Fifa started this two-day meeting in

:19:53. > :19:57.Zurich talking about new plans and a new vision for the next ten years

:19:58. > :20:01.but the theme over the course of the two days has been dominated by World

:20:02. > :20:07.Cup expansion plans, specifically what they will do for 2026 and that

:20:08. > :20:12.World Cup. At the moment 32 teams take part but what is under

:20:13. > :20:18.discussion is perhaps 40 teams or perhaps even 48 teams for that

:20:19. > :20:21.tournament. I spoke to Gianni Infantino, the president of Fifa,

:20:22. > :20:27.who believes that the time is right for reform. I firmly believe that

:20:28. > :20:34.the quality also has raised all over the world, football on the pitch and

:20:35. > :20:43.I am advocating expansion. What it will be, 40, 48, I am open. Fifa is

:20:44. > :20:45.looking to its future, it has a new secretary-general who has been

:20:46. > :20:49.undergoing a thorough audit and looking through the books and she

:20:50. > :20:53.says she has been surprised by what she's finding and she is

:20:54. > :20:58.incrementing changes including saving ?120,000 in hotels fees this

:20:59. > :21:03.week alone but there are other changes coming in terms of

:21:04. > :21:13.transport. No more limousines. People are looking for getting into

:21:14. > :21:17.this train of reform but also with the train of Fifa projecting a much

:21:18. > :21:21.better image. Fifa officials will come back to Zurich on January the

:21:22. > :21:26.night next year, they will make the key decision about the 2026 World

:21:27. > :21:28.Cup and continue efforts to change perceptions about how they are

:21:29. > :21:40.running football. To tennis now, and Andy Murray has

:21:41. > :21:42.reached the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters

:21:43. > :21:44.with a straight sets Novak Djokovoc plays Spain's Roberto

:21:45. > :21:54.Bautista Agut in the other semi. The German has signed a two-year

:21:55. > :22:06.deal worth around ?17 million. Its is said there are only two

:22:07. > :22:09.dates many English people One was a famous victory,

:22:10. > :22:13.when England last won the World Cup. The other was a terrible defeat,

:22:14. > :22:16.in 1066 King Harold was defeated by Frenchman,

:22:17. > :22:17.William the Conqueror. It was the last successful invasion

:22:18. > :22:21.of the UK and it took place exactly 950 years ago -

:22:22. > :22:23.at what is known as Duncan Kennedy has been at the site

:22:24. > :22:30.of the battle where some people have been

:22:31. > :22:32.fighting the battle This was a battle for the very

:22:33. > :22:45.future of England - King Harold's army against

:22:46. > :22:51.the troops of William of Normandy. A clash of culture and power that

:22:52. > :22:54.realigned the destiny of Europe. And re-enacted today, exactly 950

:22:55. > :23:01.years after its brutal conclusion. Around 20,000 men took

:23:02. > :23:03.part in the fighting. The battle lasted for

:23:04. > :23:06.about nine hours. By the end, so many Saxons

:23:07. > :23:10.were dying, there was hardly King Harold was killed,

:23:11. > :23:20.his hopes and ambitions For those taking part today,

:23:21. > :23:24.nine and a half centuries of time But how important is it

:23:25. > :23:30.to remember this day? It's really important,

:23:31. > :23:33.because this battle is the most significant in British

:23:34. > :23:34.history, European history 600 children marched

:23:35. > :23:42.in commemoration of the battle. 1066 is part of our

:23:43. > :23:44.historical hinterland. And even today, this

:23:45. > :23:47.cataclysmic event Our relationship with Europe,

:23:48. > :23:55.for example, is very current. That is affected by the Norman

:23:56. > :23:58.conquest, because after 1066, for the next 500 years,

:23:59. > :24:01.English kings will have a very There will be more

:24:02. > :24:08.re-enactments over the weekend, but English Heritage says

:24:09. > :24:11.they're all sold out. 950 years on, this remains

:24:12. > :24:17.a day full of impact, still informing our culture,

:24:18. > :24:20.our society and our lives. And finally, some footage of a truly

:24:21. > :24:33.terrifying encounter with a shark. It shows the moment when it got

:24:34. > :24:39.into what was thought to be a shark-proof cage

:24:40. > :24:41.with the diver inside. The shark is attracted to the cages

:24:42. > :24:47.with a large lump of tuna, After a frantic few

:24:48. > :25:01.seconds, the animal beats

:25:02. > :25:16.its way over the top. With mounting concern for the safety

:25:17. > :25:22.of the diver, who can't be seen. The experienced divemaster is shaken

:25:23. > :25:28.but, thankfully, unharmed. He dropped beneath the cage when it

:25:29. > :25:30.gave way, with two other sharks

:25:31. > :25:32.just below him. These cages are professionally

:25:33. > :25:58.engineered to withstand Amazing escape! You can get in touch

:25:59. > :25:59.with me on Twitter. That's all the time we have. Thanks for joining
