:01:43. > :01:52.Not much talk from Hillary Clinton tonight. The details are quite
:01:53. > :01:57.vague. She was here a few moments ago at
:01:58. > :02:06.this rally. You can see this stage behind me in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The
:02:07. > :02:12.news about this FBI move on e-mails broke while we were on the plane
:02:13. > :02:16.heading over here. It caught everyone, probably including her
:02:17. > :02:20.campaign and Hillary Clinton herself, off-guard because we did
:02:21. > :02:28.not have been to net access at the time on the plane. This is an
:02:29. > :02:33.interesting situation for the campaign just 11 days before
:02:34. > :02:39.election day. The wording of the FBI director's statement on this is feed
:02:40. > :02:43.as you have mentioned. He is referring to e-mails that are
:02:44. > :02:47.pertinent to the investigation which they had closed into Hillary
:02:48. > :02:59.Clinton's e-mail server. E-mails that were found probably on the
:03:00. > :03:16.e-mail of one of Hillary Clinton's AIDS or her husband. -- aides or
:03:17. > :03:23.that of her husband. We have had a reaction from the Hillary Clinton
:03:24. > :03:28.campaign are seeing his extraordinary to see something like
:03:29. > :03:31.this 11 days out from a presidential election, the FBI should provide
:03:32. > :03:37.more information immediately because the characterisation that is being
:03:38. > :03:45.discussed in the media and by Republicans is not the right one, is
:03:46. > :03:49.not the one that matches FBI director's words. The statement goes
:03:50. > :03:54.on to say the director owes it to the American people immediately to
:03:55. > :03:57.provide full details. It seems clear from the statement from the campaign
:03:58. > :04:02.that Hillary Clinton and those around her feel that this is a
:04:03. > :04:11.reaction by the FBI director to what was seen as a chilling by
:04:12. > :04:16.Republicans pushing the FBI to see more and questioning his conclusion
:04:17. > :04:20.that there was no indictments to be put out, that Hillary Clinton was
:04:21. > :04:23.indeed exonerated of any charges, there would be no charges pressed
:04:24. > :04:30.against her, that she had been careless. We have seen repeatedly
:04:31. > :04:36.over weeks and months Republicans pushing back against that conclusion
:04:37. > :04:43.that the FBI had come to in June. Many thanks for that update.
:04:44. > :04:48.No word from the Hillary Clinton camp so far. C more about what the
:04:49. > :04:54.FBI has had to say. Our correspondent is outside their
:04:55. > :04:58.headquarters in Washington. It could be nothing. It could be
:04:59. > :05:03.everything but it does seem we are not going to know until after
:05:04. > :05:08.Americans go to the polls. One of the things they are trying to
:05:09. > :05:13.do, especially Democrats right now, is urged the FBI to come forward
:05:14. > :05:21.with more information. What we understand so far is the vague
:05:22. > :05:28.letter the FBI director wrote to members of the US Congress talked
:05:29. > :05:31.about e-mails that may be pertinent to the investigation and that there
:05:32. > :05:35.would be an investigation into whether or not deal was significant.
:05:36. > :05:39.Since then in the last hour there have been a few leaks from US
:05:40. > :05:43.officials. What they seem to be saying is that these latest e-mails
:05:44. > :05:48.have come to light during a separate investigation into the husband of
:05:49. > :05:57.the top Clinton aide. Devices belonging to her and her husband
:05:58. > :06:01.were seized as part of an FBI inquiry into whether he sent
:06:02. > :06:05.sexually explicit e-mails to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.
:06:06. > :06:09.The FBI chief city could not assess whether or not this material was
:06:10. > :06:13.significant and he could not predict how long it would take to complete
:06:14. > :06:19.the additional work. After the initial furore where people were
:06:20. > :06:24.running around going, what is the scheme, is it related to a Hillary
:06:25. > :06:27.Clinton server, will damage the Hillary Clinton campaign, what we
:06:28. > :06:31.have since found out is that this set of e-mails did not come from
:06:32. > :06:36.Hillary Clinton's server, it appears to come from those of her top aide,
:06:37. > :06:46.and that is what is under investigation. But as you heard from
:06:47. > :06:51.the previous correspondent there Hillary campaign is urging the FBI
:06:52. > :06:57.to give more information to clear up any speculation because right now it
:06:58. > :07:02.is quite opaque, quite vague, and will continue and the run-up to the
:07:03. > :07:06.election. With just 11 days to go all how much
:07:07. > :07:12.damage could do to Hillary Clinton's campaign?
:07:13. > :07:15.The real issue comes down to one of trust. There is two ways of looking
:07:16. > :07:18.at this. If you are going to vote for Hillary Clinton you are still
:07:19. > :07:21.going to vote for Hillary Clinton, if you are going to vote for Donald
:07:22. > :07:27.Trump your stubble to vote for Donald Trump. What it comes down to
:07:28. > :07:30.either number of undecided voters in battle ground States, people who
:07:31. > :07:35.were perhaps swivelling. It may not mean people will vote for Donald
:07:36. > :07:40.Trump, but it Menini do not vote at all until it comes to the Democratic
:07:41. > :07:52.base and getting that these out what you have seen in the last few weeks,
:07:53. > :07:58.using popularity to push, millennial s, young people, the idea is to get
:07:59. > :08:00.there this out. If that base starts to lose enthusiasm for their
:08:01. > :08:06.candidate because of something like this that is where they may get some
:08:07. > :08:09.trouble. Hillary Clinton with light a decisive victory against Donald
:08:10. > :08:14.Trump and although the polls are different and sure she is ahead,
:08:15. > :08:20.that can all change very quickly. Yes, they were in a buoyant mood on
:08:21. > :08:23.the way to Iowa. I would imagine they will be sitting and is poll
:08:24. > :08:30.after poll over the next few days. I mentioned the worst trust. During
:08:31. > :08:36.the initial primary in Iowa I remember one poll suggested that her
:08:37. > :08:40.trust rating was in single digits. She has worked very hard to try to
:08:41. > :08:44.be game that. Something like this could slowly disintegrate that trust
:08:45. > :08:53.in the run-up to the next 11 days. Thank you.
:08:54. > :08:59.Hillary Clinton did not mention anything about this latest news
:09:00. > :09:03.during her rally in Iowa but her rival certainly did. This is what
:09:04. > :09:10.Donald Trump had to say at his rally in New Hampshire. Hillary Clinton's
:09:11. > :09:19.corruption is on a scale we have never seen before. We must not let
:09:20. > :09:30.her take her criminal scheme into the Oval Office. I have great
:09:31. > :09:35.respect for the fact that the FBI and Department of Justice are now
:09:36. > :09:44.willing to have the carriage to right the horrible mistake that they
:09:45. > :09:49.made. Donald Trump speaking in New Hampshire a couple of hours ago. Our
:09:50. > :09:52.correspondent is that Donald Trump as Matt rally. Earlier he said there
:09:53. > :10:03.could hardly have been better news for the Republican candidate.
:10:04. > :10:11.When he came out to speak just before, the delight was palpable.
:10:12. > :10:14.This was a gift to the Donald Trump campaigned that they could not have
:10:15. > :10:19.imagined they would get in the final ten days of the campaign. Frankly
:10:20. > :10:23.they saw this election slipping away from them. It still may well slip
:10:24. > :10:28.away from them but this gives them some kind of lifeline because what
:10:29. > :10:32.the FBI are saying is that there are a batch of new e-mails that are
:10:33. > :10:37.pertinent to their investigation. The previous and that they had
:10:38. > :10:40.opened and closed by pressing any charges. But of course they said at
:10:41. > :10:47.the time that Hillary Clinton and her team had been extremely careless
:10:48. > :10:51.with classified information. The question will be, what are these
:10:52. > :10:55.e-mails, who added to or from, what do they contain, and what is it that
:10:56. > :10:59.is concerning the FBI about them that makes them want to have a look
:11:00. > :11:06.and let Congress nor they are having a look? Crucially, how long will
:11:07. > :11:11.this process take? Frankly the idea of a presidential candidate on
:11:12. > :11:17.polling day, and of course we have got early voting across the country
:11:18. > :11:22.going on also, but on polling day, a presidential candidate under the
:11:23. > :11:25.shadow of the current FBI investigation, that is
:11:26. > :11:28.unprecedented. This is a very serious day for the Hillary Clinton
:11:29. > :11:32.campaign, it is the best David Donald Trump campaign has had in
:11:33. > :11:37.months quite frankly. And we see yet another amazing turn and twist and
:11:38. > :11:43.what is already an extraordinary election campaign.
:11:44. > :11:49.The New York Times seems to know more than anyone about this. We are
:11:50. > :11:55.now joined by the London bureau chief of the New York Times. Thank
:11:56. > :11:58.you for joining us. Can you perhaps enlighten us and we can also that
:11:59. > :12:02.some of the lines of tapping coming from your paper in the last couple
:12:03. > :12:06.of hours and it where these e-mails are perhaps linked to the last
:12:07. > :12:13.inquiry into Hillary Clinton, and what we know so far as to we broke
:12:14. > :12:17.the e-mail story to begin with that shocked the Hillary Clinton
:12:18. > :12:20.campaign. The FBI never exactly close the investigation. They just
:12:21. > :12:28.said they had found no reason for conviction. But Hillary Clinton's
:12:29. > :13:06.closest aide, and who has been married to Anthony Weiner.
:13:07. > :13:19.Maybe these are the same e-mails they have already seen but it is...
:13:20. > :13:25.The FBI has felt they have not been dealt with very openly by the
:13:26. > :13:30.Clinton people. There is a degree of resentment inside the FBI and a
:13:31. > :13:34.feeling that they had to take the investigation whenever it goes.
:13:35. > :13:40.Having been charged by congressional committees to look into the e-mail
:13:41. > :13:44.business they felt it necessary to inform the committee that suddenly
:13:45. > :13:51.they had many more e-mails to look at that might be pertinent. That
:13:52. > :13:58.seems to be pertinent. If they come from Huma Abedin iPhone and her
:13:59. > :14:01.husband, it is possible that classified information was passed
:14:02. > :14:05.between them as husband and wife which could get everyone into
:14:06. > :14:09.trouble or that there is stuff on her devices that were no longer on
:14:10. > :14:17.the Clinton server. We do not know any of this but this is where the
:14:18. > :14:20.investigation seems to be headed according to the information we have
:14:21. > :14:24.been discovering in the last few hours. As I was saying to one of our
:14:25. > :14:29.correspondence earlier it could be everything, it could be absolutely
:14:30. > :14:35.nothing. Should be read into the fact that this has been announced by
:14:36. > :14:43.the FBI with just 11 days to go, the Republican Speaker of the House
:14:44. > :14:47.saying they would not do this unless it was important. The FBI felt it
:14:48. > :14:51.was important for their own integrity to tell Congress that they
:14:52. > :14:55.had discovered these e-mails and that these e-mails could be
:14:56. > :15:01.pertinent. They have been careful legally not to say too much. The
:15:02. > :15:03.problem is because it is also particle and the political
:15:04. > :15:09.importance of this may far I'd the legal importance, I think whatever
:15:10. > :15:14.happens in the election there will be a good look at what the FBI did
:15:15. > :15:22.and when if the it and why it did that afterwards, because the FBI
:15:23. > :15:29.will see it is only being its own devotion to the law and its
:15:30. > :15:36.integrity towards Congress, but of course many Democrats will say that
:15:37. > :15:46.the FBI's anger at Mrs Clinton has led to it retaliating. This has not
:15:47. > :15:55.apparently come from Wikileaks or from Russian hacks, it seems to have
:15:56. > :16:01.come from Clinton's closest aide. That was from the head of the London
:16:02. > :16:09.bureau for the New York Times. Still to come, the worldlargest marine

:17:28. > :17:31.surface from a personal server to see if they contain classified
:17:32. > :17:35.information. It has been reported the e-mails were discovered on
:17:36. > :17:39.devices belonging to Hillary Clinton's aide Huma Abedin and
:17:40. > :17:46.husband Anthony Weiner. In what could turn out to be a major
:17:47. > :17:50.blow to the taxi app Uber, a tribunal here in the UK has ruled
:17:51. > :17:53.in favour of Uber drivers, saying they should be
:17:54. > :17:55.treated as normal workers - and given holiday pay
:17:56. > :17:57.and the minimum wage. Uber had argued that it's just
:17:58. > :17:59.a technology company, not a taxi provider,
:18:00. > :18:01.and that their drivers work for themselves as
:18:02. > :18:02.self-employed people. Uber operates in more than 70
:18:03. > :18:04.countries worldwide. Uber drivers, like Asif, get their

:18:12. > :18:15.of the digital age. While Uber is his main source
:18:16. > :18:18.of income, he is classed Which is why he says Uber has been
:18:19. > :18:24.denying him normal workers' rights. I have no control of
:18:25. > :18:28.the work, I have an app. How could I be classified
:18:29. > :18:41.as self-employed, because I don't Uber has 40,000 drivers in Britain,
:18:42. > :18:49.but they are not employees with full employee rights,
:18:50. > :18:52.they are self-employed, as Uber calls them, who have
:18:53. > :18:59.to fend for themselves. But the drivers who brought this
:19:00. > :19:02.case, say they should be workers. Which is legally
:19:03. > :19:06.somewhere in the middle. Entitled to rest breaks, holiday
:19:07. > :19:23.pay, and the national minimum wage. Today a tribunal decided the drivers
:19:24. > :19:24.and the union behind them were right.
:19:25. > :19:26.This is the most important employment law decision
:19:27. > :19:30.Its implications reach far, far beyond Uber and reach right out
:19:31. > :19:34.They clarify the position and level the playing field up.
:19:35. > :19:40.Uber is no stranger to protest, traditional taxi drivers around

:19:52. > :19:54.and flexibility of being able to drive when and where they want.
:19:55. > :20:01.Yet today's decision will reverberate around

:20:21. > :20:21.to pay the minimum wage, provide paid holiday,
:20:22. > :20:29.So, pending the appeal, Asif should get his workers' rights
