0:00:07 > 0:00:12This is BBC World News today. Our top stories. The most senior

0:00:12 > 0:00:19member of the Trump administration so far is charged in the probe into

0:00:19 > 0:00:23possible collusion with Russia. Sacked National Security Advisor

0:00:23 > 0:00:26Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts

0:00:26 > 0:00:33with Moscow. The White House says that nothing about the guilty plea

0:00:33 > 0:00:37or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr Flynn. We will be

0:00:37 > 0:00:42bringing you the very latest. Also, the EU will refuse to begin

0:00:42 > 0:00:47talks on a post-Brexit trade deal if Ireland is not satisfied with the

0:00:47 > 0:00:52UK's offer on the Northern Irish border.

0:00:52 > 0:00:55Pope Francis comes face-to-face with the agony of the Rohingya refugees

0:00:55 > 0:01:01in Bangladesh and publicly uses the word Rohingya in recognition of

0:01:01 > 0:01:03their identity.

0:01:16 > 0:01:20Hello and welcome to World News Today. We start with news that

0:01:20 > 0:01:25President Trump's former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, has

0:01:25 > 0:01:32pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contact with Russia. Mr

0:01:32 > 0:01:36Flynn is the most senior former official to be charged so far in the

0:01:36 > 0:01:40investigation into alleged Russian meddling in last year's US

0:01:40 > 0:01:44presidential election. Well, this is Mr Flynn leaving court earlier,

0:01:44 > 0:01:49having admitted to making false statements about conversations he

0:01:49 > 0:01:53had with Russia's ambassador to Washington during last year's

0:01:53 > 0:01:59election campaign. He has agreed to cooperate with the probe into

0:01:59 > 0:02:04alleged Russian interference, saying it is in the best interests of his

0:02:04 > 0:02:10family and his country. In response, a lawyer for the White House has

0:02:10 > 0:02:12said that nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone

0:02:12 > 0:02:19other than Mr Flynn. Ali-macro has the latest.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21It has sent political shock waves through Washington.

0:02:21 > 0:02:25General Michael Flynn, Donald Trump's former National

0:02:25 > 0:02:28Security adviser, turned himself in to the FBI, and to a judge

0:02:28 > 0:02:32admitted lying about his contacts with Russian officials.

0:02:48 > 0:02:52General Michael Flynn!

0:02:52 > 0:02:54Michael Flynn developed a close relationship with Donald Trump

0:02:54 > 0:03:01during the election campaign, at one point he was talked

0:03:01 > 0:03:02of as a potential Vice President.

0:03:02 > 0:03:03A truly great general.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05I thank you.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07At the Republican National Convention, he famously led

0:03:07 > 0:03:10chanting for Hillary Clinton to be imprisoned.

0:03:10 > 0:03:13Lock her up!

0:03:13 > 0:03:16All the focus is on the mistake Michael Flynn made

0:03:16 > 0:03:19after Donald Trump's win at the polls, when Barack Obama

0:03:19 > 0:03:22was still in office and had imposed sanctions on Russia for interfering

0:03:22 > 0:03:28with the US election.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30On 29th December, Michael Flynn spoke to the Russian Ambassador

0:03:30 > 0:03:33on the phone in the first of a series of calls.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35On 15th January, Vice-President Mike Pence said

0:03:35 > 0:03:40sanctions were not discussed by Michael Flynn in those calls.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Only after 9th February, when a newspaper revealed General

0:03:42 > 0:03:45Flynn did discuss sanctions when he was not organised to do

0:03:45 > 0:03:50so, did pressure increase and Michael Flynn lost his job.

0:03:50 > 0:03:54-- not authorised.

0:03:54 > 0:03:57Michael Flynn then became one of those investigated by the Special

0:03:57 > 0:03:59Counsel into Russia's attempts to influence the election

0:03:59 > 0:04:03and the potential collusion with the Trump campaign.

0:04:03 > 0:04:07This is unquestionably the biggest moment of the Russia investigation.

0:04:07 > 0:04:09Michael Flynn is the most senior member of Donald Trump's

0:04:09 > 0:04:12team to be indicted, and is accused of lying

0:04:12 > 0:04:16to FBI agents while still serving the White House.

0:04:16 > 0:04:20Most importantly, we now believe Michael Flynn will testify

0:04:20 > 0:04:23that he was directed to talk to the Russian Ambassador

0:04:23 > 0:04:25when he was not supposed to by a senior official

0:04:25 > 0:04:28in Donald Trump's transition team, bringing this investigation ever

0:04:28 > 0:04:31closer to the President himself.

0:04:31 > 0:04:39Aleem Maqbool, Washington.

0:04:39 > 0:04:45Our correspondent Laura Bicker is in Washington for us. First, just

0:04:45 > 0:04:52explain to us, why does Michael Flynn matter so much? This is the

0:04:52 > 0:04:56most senior member of the Trump administration, of the Trump team,

0:04:56 > 0:05:05to plead guilty to lying. That is one of the reasons why this is so

0:05:05 > 0:05:09significant. Michael Flynn was not a peripheral character in the Trump

0:05:09 > 0:05:14team, he was there at campaign, he basically was one of the main phases

0:05:14 > 0:05:18of the national security policies when it came to the Trump campaign,

0:05:18 > 0:05:21he travelled with Donald Trump on various occasions both of you saw

0:05:21 > 0:05:27him on stage, leading that charge, about Hillary Clinton, saying to

0:05:27 > 0:05:31lock her up. -- leading that child. When it came to the claims he had

0:05:31 > 0:05:35lied about his contacts with Russia, that he lied about that meeting with

0:05:35 > 0:05:42the Russian Ambassador here in Washington. Well, Donald Trump is

0:05:42 > 0:05:46alleged to them have gone to the then FBI Director James Comey and

0:05:46 > 0:05:52sat down and said to him, can you see yourself letting Flynn go,

0:05:52 > 0:05:56leading the investigation into Michael Flynn go? James Comey at

0:05:56 > 0:05:59that time thought that was so significant that when he left the

0:05:59 > 0:06:03White House and left it oval office, he wrote down a memo and give

0:06:03 > 0:06:07testimony to Congress. That is one of the reason why there has been

0:06:07 > 0:06:13such a focus on Michael Flynn himself. He lasted only 23 days in

0:06:13 > 0:06:16office, you heard from the White House they wanted to distance

0:06:16 > 0:06:20themselves from him. But he did play a key part both in the campaign and

0:06:20 > 0:06:24it was that that led him to be appointed as National Security

0:06:24 > 0:06:30Advisor. So, when it comes to his focus and focus on him, but is why

0:06:30 > 0:06:33it is so significant. So what happens next? Where is this

0:06:33 > 0:06:44investigation going to go next? What are we going to see? I don't know if

0:06:44 > 0:06:48you can hear me. Unfortunately, it looks like we have lost Laura

0:06:48 > 0:06:52Bicker. Next, we are going to stay with this

0:06:52 > 0:06:59story and go across to New York. Our national politics correspondent at

0:06:59 > 0:07:06Newsweek is here. Thank you for joining us. I have noticed that your

0:07:06 > 0:07:12publication is already asking who spoke to Michael Flynn to say

0:07:12 > 0:07:16whatever he did to the Russians was not so, my question to you would be,

0:07:16 > 0:07:20what did the President Noel, and when did he know it? How crucial

0:07:20 > 0:07:28will that be and what happens? What did the President know?Well, we are

0:07:28 > 0:07:36assuming that because Michael Flynn took a play on only one count and he

0:07:36 > 0:07:39was allowed to only take a play on one count when there were a lot of

0:07:39 > 0:07:49other things going on, that he is a valuable source of information on

0:07:49 > 0:07:53the top of the food chain. That is one of the assumptions. The other

0:07:53 > 0:07:58thing that we are discovering is that interesting kind of issue here

0:07:58 > 0:08:06is that the involvement of Jared Kushner, the President's son-in-law,

0:08:06 > 0:08:08in directing Flynn in his conversations with the Russian

0:08:08 > 0:08:14Ambassador, not just related to the sanctions that the Obama

0:08:14 > 0:08:18administration has -- had slapped on Russia, but a Security Council

0:08:18 > 0:08:24hearing involving Israel, and of course, Jared Kushner's family is

0:08:24 > 0:08:31very tied into extreme right-wing settler organisations in Israel, so

0:08:31 > 0:08:37that is an interesting angle that is opening up here. Especially at a

0:08:37 > 0:08:42time when the President is said to be considering throwing out his

0:08:42 > 0:08:45Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, replacing him with a much more

0:08:45 > 0:08:54hardline anti-Iran official, Mike Pompeo, and also putting in charge

0:08:54 > 0:09:00of the CIA a very pro-Israel and anti-Iran Senator from Arkansas, Tom

0:09:00 > 0:09:05Cotton. So, there are all sorts of international implications bubbling

0:09:05 > 0:09:13up for them in what happened today. Do you think that this in any way

0:09:13 > 0:09:23could possibly lead directly to Mr Trump?Well, I do think it could

0:09:23 > 0:09:30possibly lead directly to Mr Trump, because we know that he told the

0:09:30 > 0:09:35former FBI Director, James Comey, to lay off Flynn. And that is

0:09:35 > 0:09:40obstruction of justice. So at that point, if the investigation goes to

0:09:40 > 0:09:47that level, it leads to the President. As far as the

0:09:47 > 0:09:51involvement, his directing these people to say certain things to the

0:09:51 > 0:09:54Russians, I cannot answer that. It is hard to tell whether he was that

0:09:54 > 0:10:00involve or whether it was just Jared Kushner and others, Michael Flynn

0:10:00 > 0:10:04making these decisions on their own. It is hard to imagine that that was

0:10:04 > 0:10:10going on, because he seems to be ready hands on, aware of his small

0:10:10 > 0:10:18group, but I cannot confirm to you that this is leading directly to the

0:10:18 > 0:10:23President of the United States. But I think he is certainly in jeopardy.

0:10:23 > 0:10:30Many people in Washington are asking, or rather saying that this

0:10:30 > 0:10:34probe could be politically motivated. Do you think this is a

0:10:34 > 0:10:37line that could stand up, that the White House could use to control the

0:10:37 > 0:10:43fallout?Well, they have been doing that for a long time. Certainly they

0:10:43 > 0:10:49have been saying it is politically motivated, and if you watch Fox

0:10:49 > 0:10:51News, they are probably talking about that right now. They would

0:10:51 > 0:10:57like to divert the attention to investigating Hillary Clinton and

0:10:57 > 0:11:04Bill Clinton's foundation and their involvement with uranium rights sold

0:11:04 > 0:11:10to the Russians. So, yes, they will absolutely be diverting too, this is

0:11:10 > 0:11:13a political witchhunt, they have been saying that all along, and

0:11:13 > 0:11:18you're going to see more of that. You're also seeing a diversion

0:11:18 > 0:11:22today, it is all about diversion, they are no diverting too, Trump and

0:11:22 > 0:11:27is today, the USA is going to recognise Jerusalem as the capital

0:11:27 > 0:11:31of Israel, which is a very contentious issue over dare-mac, as

0:11:31 > 0:11:36you know. The other thing that is going on, the timing really could

0:11:36 > 0:11:41not be worse for Trump and the Republicans, because today was the

0:11:41 > 0:11:49day that they were going to try and vote on the tax reform Bill, which

0:11:49 > 0:11:54they absolutely need to have by the end of the year finished, because

0:11:54 > 0:11:58they need to have some kind of, to be able to point to some kind of a

0:11:58 > 0:12:04victory, some kind of concrete proof that they have actually done some of

0:12:04 > 0:12:09the things that they promised to do. He has no legislative victories as

0:12:09 > 0:12:14above. So this happening today, while they were about to debate

0:12:14 > 0:12:19their big tax reform bill in the Senate, could not be worse timing

0:12:19 > 0:12:22politically for the Republicans and the President.

0:12:22 > 0:12:30Thank you very much. Zimbabwe has a new President, but does he want a

0:12:30 > 0:12:35new start, or more of the same? Emmerson Mnangagwa's Cabinet

0:12:35 > 0:12:40includes many of Robert Mugabe's told ministers, plus two military

0:12:40 > 0:12:44generals in top jobs. It is not the radical break with the past that

0:12:44 > 0:12:49opposition activists and clearly hoped for.

0:12:49 > 0:12:54Our Zimbabwe correspondent reports. This was Zimbabwe's exactly a week

0:12:54 > 0:12:58ago, high expectations from its first leader in 37 years. -- this

0:12:58 > 0:13:10was Zimbabwe. Emmerson Mnangagwa made all the right noises, alien

0:13:10 > 0:13:12covenant, greater efficiency and acknowledgement that the public

0:13:12 > 0:13:20expectation was high. -- a leaner Cabinet. He is rewarding the

0:13:20 > 0:13:23military whose opposition helped him to power. Two military officers are

0:13:23 > 0:13:30in prominent positions. The head of the air force, a feared figure in

0:13:30 > 0:13:33southern Zimbabwe. He is alleged to have taken part in the brutal

0:13:33 > 0:13:39massacres that killed thousands of civilians at the request of the then

0:13:39 > 0:13:47Prime Minister, Robert Mugabe. He believes the lands of -- he leads

0:13:47 > 0:13:51the agriculture and land ministry. Then the Foreign Minister, he

0:13:51 > 0:13:55appeared on state television to announce the military operation,

0:13:55 > 0:13:57relatively unknown until then, he has a doctorate in International

0:13:57 > 0:14:03Relations. The war veterans leader bounces back

0:14:03 > 0:14:08to Cabinet as the new information ministers will stop he was fired by

0:14:08 > 0:14:11Mugabe for challenging the First Lady and he led mast protests which

0:14:11 > 0:14:15forced the former leader to resign. Emmerson Mnangagwa has removed many

0:14:15 > 0:14:20of his predecessors -- predecessor old allies but he has retained half

0:14:20 > 0:14:26of the Cabinet, some of whom were deeply unpopular. Thousands of

0:14:26 > 0:14:30Zimbabweans gathered here just a week ago, celebrating in using Bob

0:14:30 > 0:14:34Tway and some are now wondering where -- whether this is the break

0:14:34 > 0:14:38with the past they hoped for. Many had hoped it would provide a new

0:14:38 > 0:14:45direction and new confidence. Investors will not cheer. The

0:14:45 > 0:14:53indigenous Asian ministry has been scrapped. But opposition politicians

0:14:53 > 0:14:57have condemned the new Cabinet, saying it is proof the military is

0:14:57 > 0:15:01still in charge and that the honeymoon is over. Just two weeks

0:15:01 > 0:15:06ago, Zimbabwe celebrated the people's General for leading the

0:15:06 > 0:15:10military takeover. Now they wait to see whether he also will be rewarded

0:15:10 > 0:15:18with a vice presidency. Pope Francis is visiting Bangladesh

0:15:18 > 0:15:24has met some of the more than 600,000 Rohingya Muslims who fled

0:15:24 > 0:15:28violence in Myanmar. He used the word Rohingya in public for the

0:15:28 > 0:15:32first time, a controversial move because the Myanmar government does

0:15:32 > 0:15:36not recognise the right anger as an ethnic group. The refugees have been

0:15:36 > 0:15:42brought to the capital, Dhaka. More than 600,000 men, women and children

0:15:42 > 0:15:50have fled their from Myanmar.

0:15:50 > 0:15:52Their plight has overshadowed his visit to Myanmar and Bangladesh,

0:15:52 > 0:15:57and today, a group of Rohynga refugees met Pope Francis in Dhaka.

0:15:57 > 0:16:00One by one, they had a chance to tell him

0:16:00 > 0:16:01what they've been through.

0:16:01 > 0:16:04Up until now, Pope Francis had avoided using the term

0:16:04 > 0:16:05"Rohingya", which is how these people identify themselves.

0:16:05 > 0:16:13But a word that Myanmar refuses to recognise.

0:16:13 > 0:16:14But today, the Pope was more outspoken.

0:16:14 > 0:16:17At a meeting of religious leaders, the Pope asked for forgiveness

0:16:17 > 0:16:19from Rohingya refugees for the hurt they've endured, and for

0:16:19 > 0:16:24the indifference of the world.

0:16:24 > 0:16:26It's a crisis that has overshadowed the Pope's visit

0:16:26 > 0:16:27to Myanmar and Bangladesh.

0:16:27 > 0:16:29Regardless of the politics around the Pope's visit,

0:16:29 > 0:16:37for many people from the Catholic community of Bangladesh,

0:16:37 > 0:16:40it was a chance to see the leader of their religion in person.

0:16:40 > 0:16:42They're a tiny percentage of the population of this country,

0:16:42 > 0:16:45but you couldn't tell that by looking at the crowds here,

0:16:45 > 0:16:47tens of thousands have come from different parts of Bangladesh.

0:16:47 > 0:16:54And they weren't disappointed.

0:16:54 > 0:16:56Before he said Mass, Pope Francis took a quick

0:16:56 > 0:16:57tour through the crowd.

0:16:57 > 0:16:59For some, it was a moment they'll remember forever.

0:16:59 > 0:17:08He's the first Pope to visit Bangladesh in more than 30 years.

0:17:08 > 0:17:11I'm so happy and so blessed that I got to get here in this space,

0:17:11 > 0:17:14so there are lots of people that couldn't come over here.

0:17:14 > 0:17:15So I'm so lucky!

0:17:15 > 0:17:22I can see the Pope so near.

0:17:22 > 0:17:24I was in tears when I saw him.

0:17:24 > 0:17:26When I saw him, I thought I'm seeing Jesus.

0:17:26 > 0:17:28I was saying, "God bless you, Papa.

0:17:28 > 0:17:29God bless you.

0:17:29 > 0:17:37I'm so happy to see you again."

0:17:37 > 0:17:40For this small community, the Pope's visit is reassurance that

0:17:40 > 0:17:41they're part of something bigger.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44But for another minority, it brought hope that one of the most

0:17:44 > 0:17:46influential leaders of the world could help them.

0:17:46 > 0:17:54Yogita Limaye, BBC News, Dhaka.

0:17:54 > 0:17:59US media are reporting that President Trump is likely to make a

0:17:59 > 0:18:04speech recognising Jerusalem as Israel's capital on Wednesday. The

0:18:04 > 0:18:07international community does not recognise Israeli sovereignty over

0:18:07 > 0:18:11the entire city. Palestinian Authorities want east Jerusalem to

0:18:11 > 0:18:17be the capital of a future state. US policy in the past has been that

0:18:17 > 0:18:20Jerusalem's status must be decided in negotiations between the two

0:18:20 > 0:18:26sides. The biggest lithium iron battery if

0:18:26 > 0:18:30the world has started delivering power to Australia's electricity

0:18:30 > 0:18:34grid, the US firm Tesla built the device and says it is three times

0:18:34 > 0:18:38more powerful than the world's next biggest bat tri.

0:18:38 > 0:18:43And the Spanish stream court says it will decide on Monday, whether ten

0:18:43 > 0:18:48jailed Catalan accept twists will be granted bail so they can take part

0:18:48 > 0:18:53in campaigning in regional elections later this month. Eight former

0:18:53 > 0:18:56Catalan Cabinet Ministers and two others appeared in the court earlier

0:18:56 > 0:19:01on Friday. They were arrested on suspicion of sedition and rebellion

0:19:01 > 0:19:07over their illegal campaign for independence.

0:19:07 > 0:19:12The EU will refuse to begin talks on a post-Brexit trade deal, if Ireland

0:19:12 > 0:19:19is not satisfied with the UK's offer on the border. That is according to

0:19:19 > 0:19:22the European Council President Donald Tusk, he held a joint news

0:19:22 > 0:19:26conference with the Irish Prime Minister in Dublin. Ireland has

0:19:26 > 0:19:32urged the UK to be clearer on how it plans to avoid a hard border between

0:19:32 > 0:19:37the republic and Northern Ireland. Mr Tux who will chair a crunch

0:19:37 > 0:19:43summit in two weeks' time said the border within Ireland must remain a

0:19:43 > 0:19:49symbol of cooperation. We have agreed today, that before proposing

0:19:49 > 0:19:56guidelines on transition and future relations to the leaders, I will

0:19:56 > 0:20:00consultant the Taoiseach if the UK offer is sufficient for the Irish

0:20:00 > 0:20:08Government. Let me say very clearly, if the UK offer, if unacceptable for

0:20:08 > 0:20:13Ireland, it will also be unacceptable for the EU. I realise

0:20:13 > 0:20:18for some British politicians this may be hard to understand, but such

0:20:18 > 0:20:25is the logic behind the fact that Ireland is the EU member, while the

0:20:25 > 0:20:31UK it is leaving. This is why the Quito the UK's future lies in some

0:20:31 > 0:20:36ways in Dublin. At least as long as Brexit negotiations continue.

0:20:36 > 0:20:41That was Donald Tusk, at least nine people have been killed and almost

0:20:41 > 0:20:4540 injured after gunmen stormed the campus of a university north-west

0:20:45 > 0:20:53Pakistan earlier today. The attack took place at the Agricultural

0:20:53 > 0:20:56Training Institute located in Peshawar. This report from

0:20:56 > 0:21:02Islamabad. Three gunmen opened fire after entering the compound housing

0:21:02 > 0:21:07the agricultural training institute this morning. Loud gunfire was heard

0:21:07 > 0:21:11from the scene until security officials announced they had killed

0:21:11 > 0:21:17the attacker, today is is a national holiday marking the birthday of the

0:21:17 > 0:21:21Prophet Muhammad. So the training college was closed although a number

0:21:21 > 0:21:26of students were present. They make up the bulk of those killed and

0:21:26 > 0:21:30injured. Some as young as 17. A number of students were injured

0:21:30 > 0:21:38leaping out of the windows trying to escape the attackers. The Pakistan

0:21:38 > 0:21:43Taliban claimed responsibility. It was the scene of one of the most

0:21:43 > 0:21:47gruesome attacks when over 130 children were killed by militants in

0:21:47 > 0:21:52an assault on their school three years a since then the number of

0:21:52 > 0:21:56attacks in Pakistan has greatly reduced all those militants are

0:21:56 > 0:22:02still clearly able to operate. Japan's emperor will abdicate in

0:22:02 > 0:22:08favour of his son in 2019. The 38-year-old emperor said last year,

0:22:08 > 0:22:12that his age and health would make it difficult to fulfil his duties.

0:22:12 > 0:22:18-- 83. He could not choose to about Kate himself, a ten member panel

0:22:18 > 0:22:27chaired by the Prime Minister agreed and set a date today. Today. There

0:22:27 > 0:22:32is a cliche here that change never comes quickly, and in the abdication

0:22:32 > 0:22:36of the emperor that is certainly appears to the case, the emperor

0:22:36 > 0:22:40went on television to ask to be allowed to retire more than a year

0:22:40 > 0:22:45ark he said he was old and in poor health and was corned he could no

0:22:45 > 0:22:51longer carry on its duty, it took until June to pass the relevant

0:22:51 > 0:22:54legislation, now the imperial household council has met to decide

0:22:54 > 0:23:04when it will happen. The answer, April 30th 2019. The following day

0:23:04 > 0:23:12on May 1st, Crown Prince will ascend the throne and a new era will be

0:23:12 > 0:23:17declared and the emperor and empress will finally be allowed to retire.

0:23:17 > 0:23:22Now the draw for the 32 teams who have made to it the 2001 football

0:23:22 > 0:23:28World Cup has taken place in a ceremony at the Kremlin, our sports

0:23:28 > 0:23:31news correspondent Richard Conway who is in Moscow for us casts his

0:23:31 > 0:23:38eye oh the draw. The draw has been made here at the

0:23:38 > 0:23:42Kremlin state Palace in the heart of the compound. Vladimir Putin

0:23:42 > 0:23:48welcoming all 32 teams to come in, and look, to take a look forward to

0:23:48 > 0:23:54next summer's tournament. Russia will kick off the entire

0:23:54 > 0:23:59competition, on June 14th, next yore, against Saudi Arabia. That

0:23:59 > 0:24:04will be here in Moscow. I have been given by Fifa my little wall chart,

0:24:04 > 0:24:09already, so I have the map all laid out of who will play where and where

0:24:09 > 0:24:14they will be taking place, some interesting matches. Portugal taking

0:24:14 > 0:24:18on Spain, those neighbours clashing once again, that will be a

0:24:18 > 0:24:24fascinating tie. Argentina in group D, they will have to take on Iceland

0:24:24 > 0:24:28who are making their debut at the World Cup, and England of course who

0:24:28 > 0:24:33will be wanting to overturn a frankly terrible record in recent

0:24:33 > 0:24:39years at the World Cup, they will take on Belgium, Tunisia, and

0:24:39 > 0:24:46Panama, so some interesting games there as well. Belgium having a

0:24:46 > 0:24:50heavily contingent. Roberto Martinez, he knows about managing

0:24:50 > 0:24:56the top English sides. So that is another one to look out for.

0:24:56 > 0:25:00Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have taken part in their first official

0:25:00 > 0:25:07engagement together. They visited a World Aids Day charity fair, meeting

0:25:07 > 0:25:10representatives from the Terence Higgins trust. Harry has become a

0:25:10 > 0:25:14prominent campaigner on the issue following in the footsteps of his

0:25:14 > 0:25:18mother Diana, Princess of Wales, if you are wondering where they went,

0:25:18 > 0:25:24they were in Nottingham. You of course will not forget the

0:25:24 > 0:25:33announcement was made on Monday that they will be guessing married.

0:25:33 > 0:25:37A reminder of our top story. President Trump's former national

0:25:37 > 0:25:40security adviser Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI

0:25:40 > 0:25:45about his contact with Russia. She the most senior former official to

0:25:45 > 0:25:49be charged so far in the investigation into alleged Russian

0:25:49 > 0:25:53meddling in the US Presidential election. Plenty more on this story
