Thank you for joining me, we alive in the BBC newsroom, let's have a

:00:14.:00:20.

look at some of the main stories. The two-year mark since 276

:00:21.:00:24.

schoolgirls in Nigeria were kidnapped by Haram. Knew the deal

:00:25.:00:29.

has emerged of what seems to be some of them in December but there seems

:00:30.:00:35.

to be little progress towards getting the girls home. We will be

:00:36.:00:38.

talking in a moment about the latest and the race to become US president.

:00:39.:00:43.

Bernie Sanders has held a huge rally in New York, primary is next week.

:00:44.:00:50.

The BBC pop-up team is in India this is the latest report. The experience

:00:51.:00:56.

of being an African living in India. And it is Klopp's new team against

:00:57.:01:01.

his old team. We will get into that. The political cycle in America is

:01:02.:01:24.

focused on New York. The Democratic candidates are going to be going on

:01:25.:01:28.

US network television later on to debate with each other. Hillary

:01:29.:01:33.

Clinton is favourite to wind New York state. Bernie Sanders is

:01:34.:01:37.

drawing big clouds and if you're interested in US politics I can

:01:38.:01:45.

recommend twitter feed. We can show you some pictures. By any standards,

:01:46.:01:54.

this was a big rally. The organisers say 27,000 people turned out to

:01:55.:01:57.

listen to Bernie Sanders and he called it the most important event

:01:58.:02:01.

yet of his campaign. Let's get the analysis. Live from the world News

:02:02.:02:09.

America studio in Washington, DC. Bernie Sanders is quite rightly

:02:10.:02:13.

proud of a torn out like that but not much evidence it will translate

:02:14.:02:19.

into a wind in New York. That is a heck of a lot of people, 20 7000.

:02:20.:02:26.

Barack Obama gave a valley in exactly the same spot back in 2007

:02:27.:02:31.

and he got 3000 people less than Bernie Sanders last night. The

:02:32.:02:37.

question is, what happens? He has won seven of the last primary is and

:02:38.:02:42.

he is winning thousands of people every day. He cannot actually

:02:43.:02:50.

translate into delegates and if you cannot translate into delegates then

:02:51.:02:53.

effectively he will never be the nominee and I think he realises

:02:54.:02:59.

that. If he doesn't wind New York and the primary is next week, the

:03:00.:03:03.

race is really over for him and at some point, Democrats are saying he

:03:04.:03:09.

will have to say he is doing the Democrats more harm than good. But

:03:10.:03:15.

if you stand up on a stage in front of 27,000 people in the middle of

:03:16.:03:18.

New York City it is hard not to believe you have a right to be

:03:19.:03:23.

there. I have observed some candidates staying in the race is

:03:24.:03:28.

way beyond the time they believe they can wind because they are

:03:29.:03:33.

trying to 11 age a possession for themselves are policy shift from the

:03:34.:03:37.

eventual winner. Is that what he is doing? He has already done it and

:03:38.:03:42.

taken Hillary Clinton to the left of where she was going to be. She is

:03:43.:03:46.

talking about issues like any quality and banks that are too big

:03:47.:03:50.

to fail, things you might not have mentioned. Financial reform. The

:03:51.:03:57.

longer he stays in this race, the longer his supporters will be able

:03:58.:04:02.

to put pressure on Hillary Clinton to adapt her policies to what they

:04:03.:04:08.

believe in. So whilst he may now in his heart of hearts, and he said

:04:09.:04:12.

last night this is going to be a tough campaign, he may well know the

:04:13.:04:16.

numbers don't add up and he will never be the Democratic party

:04:17.:04:18.

nominee barring some extraordinary circumstance. He also knows if he

:04:19.:04:24.

stays in the race he gets his message out and he is part of the

:04:25.:04:29.

equation in that sense. I want to get your thoughts on what Donald

:04:30.:04:34.

Trump has been saying in the last 48 hours, railing against the system he

:04:35.:04:37.

has to go through to get the nomination. He rails against a lot

:04:38.:04:42.

of things so on one side there is not a lot to read into these

:04:43.:04:45.

comments but it could be him appearing to be under pressure?

:04:46.:04:49.

Bernie Sanders has said the same thing, the system is rigged. You are

:04:50.:04:54.

fuelling exactly the same thing but at the moment, the race in Colorado,

:04:55.:05:01.

he didn't manage to pick up delegates proportionate to the

:05:02.:05:03.

amount of votes you got and he says the system there is rigged. It

:05:04.:05:08.

doesn't do him any harm to be seen to be in a fight with the Republican

:05:09.:05:13.

party. His supporters love him because he is the antiestablishment

:05:14.:05:18.

campaign. It won't change anything and get his message out, the rules

:05:19.:05:22.

are the rules and were written before Donald Trump and he has two

:05:23.:05:30.

applied by them. This is factually not correct to say it is rigged

:05:31.:05:34.

against him but politically it makes an awful lot of sense to keep

:05:35.:05:38.

positioning himself as the antiestablishment candidates. Thank

:05:39.:05:44.

you. That is coming up on BBC World News Today was of you outside the UK

:05:45.:05:50.

directly after this. We are going to start with the Europa League. It is

:05:51.:05:57.

a very best generates as much interest as the Champions League but

:05:58.:06:00.

you could make the case that is happening this week. We have a game

:06:01.:06:06.

in Prague and probably the pick of them as a Liverpool. This is Klopp

:06:07.:06:16.

in charge of Liverpool playing his old club at Dortmund. It is

:06:17.:06:23.

definitely the pick of the ties and looks like an amazing game. And

:06:24.:06:28.

field is famous for its European nights and this was an absolutely

:06:29.:06:33.

brilliant game. A miserable start for Liverpool against Bush Dortmund.

:06:34.:06:36.

The German side favourites for the trophy and they showed why. They

:06:37.:06:43.

scored after just four minutes and soon after a second, inside ten

:06:44.:06:49.

minutes. Game over new thought, but Liverpool fought back. The score at

:06:50.:06:58.

two but either side, Borussia Dortmund scored. Klopp's old side

:06:59.:07:12.

looked to be going forward at the expense of his current team.

:07:13.:07:20.

Shakhtar Donetsk looked all but through, as do Villarreal. 6-3 up on

:07:21.:07:31.

aggregate. Some interesting semifinals ahead and I am not sure

:07:32.:07:35.

of Liverpool will be there, still 3-2. 15 minutes to go. Thank you, so

:07:36.:07:44.

those of you who want to stick with outside source, you can pull up the

:07:45.:07:47.

life page for that game like I have on my tablet. Also computer or 14.

:07:48.:08:01.

Other Premier League clubs, Newcastle United has lost a

:08:02.:08:04.

discrimination tribunal brought by its former midfielder Gutierrez, you

:08:05.:08:12.

can get the full story on the BBC website. He claims the club dropped

:08:13.:08:18.

him because he had cancer which led to him dropping -- missing a

:08:19.:08:23.

contract extension. The tribunal agreed. We understand the club is

:08:24.:08:27.

disappointed and is consulting its lawyers. We should mention two other

:08:28.:08:33.

claims by the Spanish international were not accepted. He has taken to

:08:34.:08:40.

twitter to get his reaction and is saying the club is always about the

:08:41.:08:49.

funds. Let's turn to a story that I probably don't need to tell you

:08:50.:08:58.

about, Kobe Bryant has retired. He scored 60 points, he has only really

:08:59.:09:02.

done that through his career, the LA Lakers were down and came back to

:09:03.:09:08.

beat Utah Jazz, and he also attempted 50 shots, which is the

:09:09.:09:14.

most by anyone in a single NBA game in the last 30 years, so he was kept

:09:15.:09:21.

busy because his team-mates were giving him the ball the whole time.

:09:22.:09:27.

Here he is. There were a lot of points where I started getting

:09:28.:09:31.

emotional. When I first ran out of the tunnel, I catch myself. I am

:09:32.:09:39.

putting on my jersey saying this is the last time I put on a jersey!

:09:40.:09:44.

Then this is the last time I run down the tunnel. When those moments

:09:45.:09:48.

happened you catch yourself and start getting really emotional. Here

:09:49.:09:54.

is the one thing they don't know about his 20 years. No other player

:09:55.:09:59.

has ever been with the same team for 20 years. He has always been here in

:10:00.:10:03.

Los Angeles and has always played great for us. Like any other

:10:04.:10:09.

virtuoso. It is a pleasure to get to see him as much as I have. And you

:10:10.:10:14.

imagine Jack Nicholson has got some pretty good seats. We are no

:10:15.:10:19.

strangers to drone racing and you know we would have done a couple of

:10:20.:10:23.

stories about it and the sport is getting bigger and it is brilliant

:10:24.:10:29.

to watch. The big news today is that ESPN, one of the world's biggest

:10:30.:10:35.

broadcasters, has decided to screen drone racing starting with the big

:10:36.:10:39.

event in New York in August. We have been to Wembley Stadium in London to

:10:40.:10:40.

be converted! This is how we see what is on the

:10:41.:11:09.

drawing, the little camera in front. You have just flown Othello and

:11:10.:11:13.

Wembley Stadium, what was that like? A great experience, the track was

:11:14.:11:16.

quite long with some technical parts.

:11:17.:11:24.

And you can see that online as well if you want to share with people on

:11:25.:11:31.

BBC sport. As mentioned, we will play you the latest report from BBC

:11:32.:11:37.

pop in India looking at the issue of racism against Africans living in

:11:38.:11:39.

India, that in a few minutes. Delays in accident and emergency

:11:40.:11:51.

departments in England have hit record levels for the second month

:11:52.:11:56.

in a row. Figures released by NHS in England shall 87.1% of patients were

:11:57.:12:03.

released within four hours of arrival, lower than the target set

:12:04.:12:08.

by the Department of Health. It was even lower in major hospitals with

:12:09.:12:11.

around one in five patients had to wait longer than four hours before

:12:12.:12:14.

being discharged. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in

:12:15.:12:20.

good time for the two-day visit. They met the country's Young King

:12:21.:12:26.

and queen and tried the national sport of archery. -- Bhutan.

:12:27.:12:34.

This is a country that proudly proclaims that there is to be

:12:35.:12:39.

different. It is Bhutan, until recently known as the hermit kingdom

:12:40.:12:44.

of the Himalayas. A small nation strongly influenced by its Buddhist

:12:45.:12:50.

faith, the big thing is happiness. A place with the deference for William

:12:51.:12:55.

and Catherine to visit, but a destination that is hardly a

:12:56.:12:59.

priority when it comes to the world to. The normally have to have a

:13:00.:13:04.

clear purpose so you might ask why, other than to imbibe some happiness

:13:05.:13:09.

and contentment, why have they come to this small country in the

:13:10.:13:14.

Himalayas? Here is the official line? The country has a new king.

:13:15.:13:20.

Two royals of a similar age to bully and Catherine. He is Bhutan's first

:13:21.:13:26.

constitutional as opposed to absolute monarch presiding over a

:13:27.:13:32.

democratic nation that happens to be sandwiched between India and China.

:13:33.:13:37.

It is also a pretty amazing experience for the visitors, of whom

:13:38.:13:41.

there are still not that many. The king and queen Escort of the guests

:13:42.:13:45.

to a Buddhist temple where the lit candles. And here's another part of

:13:46.:13:53.

the experience, archery, which as Kate discovered is not as easy as it

:13:54.:13:59.

looks. Bhutan has some of the best archers

:14:00.:14:04.

in the world, it has their national sport. Not a lot of people know

:14:05.:14:07.

that, or indeed no Bhutan. This is outside source, our lead

:14:08.:14:33.

story, video has emerged of some of these schoolgirls who were abducted

:14:34.:14:38.

in Nigeria two years ago but still there is no progress towards

:14:39.:14:45.

bringing them home. And coming up after outside source, outside of the

:14:46.:14:49.

UK it is a world News America and with the summer are driving the

:14:50.:14:53.

number of people trying to cross the Mediterranean into Europe is set to

:14:54.:14:57.

rise. We have brand-new report from Libya, the start of the journey for

:14:58.:15:01.

many. That report will also play on the

:15:02.:15:06.

news of ten in the UK and it will look at delays to accident and

:15:07.:15:16.

America to departments in England. -- emergency departments. The BBC

:15:17.:15:20.

pop-up team is a small group of journalists that bases itself on one

:15:21.:15:23.

country and responds quickly to stories at is given. In the last few

:15:24.:15:30.

months it has been in the US and Kenny and is in India now. This next

:15:31.:15:35.

report looks at discrimination experienced by some Africans living

:15:36.:15:40.

in India, there are big African communities in the cities of Mumbai

:15:41.:15:46.

and Delhi. So one of the stories we were asked

:15:47.:16:08.

to do was to tell the story of Africans living in India and some of

:16:09.:16:12.

the tough experiences they have. We thought this would be an interesting

:16:13.:16:16.

story and instead of just filming it we went one better and the man who

:16:17.:16:21.

suggested it will help us to make it. India is very exciting. Everyday

:16:22.:16:31.

I go out and see something new. There are lots of Africans now in

:16:32.:16:35.

India doing studies and they are facing a lot of racism. Recently

:16:36.:16:41.

there have been a lot of news stories about Africans being

:16:42.:16:46.

attacked, molested and beaten up. It makes me feel so bad about it. How

:16:47.:16:59.

are you? What are your experiences with Indians? That is not good

:17:00.:17:06.

chemistry between Africans and Indians. We don't normally associate

:17:07.:17:14.

with Indians. Indians don't trust us. It is very common that Indians

:17:15.:17:25.

think all applicants are prostitutes. They ask how much do

:17:26.:17:30.

you want? They ask these kinds of questions. The local people, not

:17:31.:17:40.

all, some are very good. Very open-minded people.

:17:41.:17:48.

Some of the stories you told us were quite disturbing and that largely

:17:49.:17:56.

happens because Indians don't know their own history, that Africans

:17:57.:17:58.

played such a big role in Indian history. Today, a big African

:17:59.:18:09.

community lives in the state of Gujarat and I think it would be good

:18:10.:18:11.

for you to meet them. So after the long drive through the

:18:12.:18:23.

state of Gujarat we are about to meet the community. I am so excited

:18:24.:18:31.

to see Africans here in India. I really want to meet with them and

:18:32.:18:37.

interact with them more. How are you?

:18:38.:19:17.

I just feel like I am in Africa. This feels like an African city. If

:19:18.:19:28.

they go beyond the village, they are stopped and asked where they are

:19:29.:19:33.

from, exactly the same kinds of questions you are facing. How do you

:19:34.:19:39.

solve these problems? How do you tackle them?

:19:40.:19:50.

Do you ever have the feeling that you want to go back to Africa or did

:19:51.:19:57.

you use to want to be in India? He is seeing here is like an Indian,

:19:58.:20:07.

why would he want to leave this place?

:20:08.:20:45.

When I came, I was emotionally charged and almost wanted to cry

:20:46.:20:52.

when I saw all the black Africans. Coming here today has changed my

:20:53.:20:59.

perception of India. It has created a mindset in me that there are

:21:00.:21:05.

people who are ready to see Africans in India. Seeing this society today

:21:06.:21:12.

has given me hope that in the future India will be a less racist society,

:21:13.:21:19.

because this community is a symbol that Africans are also Indians.

:21:20.:21:25.

Now to finish this edition from a lovely report, we have talked a

:21:26.:21:32.

number of times about how against the odds, sales of are rising, but

:21:33.:21:38.

there is a new detail, a great one. The BBC has found that almost half

:21:39.:21:41.

the people in the UK who buy vinyl never listen to it.

:21:42.:21:52.

The classic artwork, the lyrics in the inner sleeve,

:21:53.:21:54.

the feel of the vinyl and the click of a button on a download.

:21:55.:21:58.

Duncan Willis is part of a new generation of record

:21:59.:22:01.

buyers, with sales of LPs being ten times what they were one decade ago.

:22:02.:22:08.

A survey suggests almost half of people who purchase vinyl

:22:09.:22:11.

They listen digitally but still want something to hold.

:22:12.:22:18.

It is so easy to listen to any music now and I think that we are yearning

:22:19.:22:22.

for the times our parents had and go out of our way to buy an album

:22:23.:22:26.

It makes it a more romantic process of owning the album

:22:27.:22:31.

and the piece of music you want to listen to.

:22:32.:22:37.

All around the country, shops are getting prepared for Record Day.

:22:38.:22:42.

People are encouraged to come in and buy vinyl.

:22:43.:22:45.

They're all about owning this but not playing it.

:22:46.:22:52.

I'd buy it for the sound quality and I like the ritualistic thing

:22:53.:22:57.

about putting on a piece of vinyl and sitting back.

:22:58.:23:03.

I don't know why you would buy it if you're not going to play it.

:23:04.:23:09.

Even if they are buying it and listening to it,

:23:10.:23:13.

they have the artwork that comes with it and the thought process that

:23:14.:23:16.

I think it is great and I totally understand.

:23:17.:23:19.

I just go and get it because I think it will look good on my wall.

:23:20.:23:23.

This student is one of those who likes to judge

:23:24.:23:25.

I have vinyls in my room but it is more of a sense

:23:26.:23:30.

about giving me the old-school vibe because I know that's

:23:31.:23:32.

The idea of owning vinyl but never playing is anathema

:23:33.:23:44.

That crackle and the anticipation is great.

:23:45.:23:55.

The drummer for the Smiths and still a proud fan of the LP.

:23:56.:23:58.

With albums you are buying the whole package.

:23:59.:24:02.

Sometimes they tell a story rather than buying a track.

:24:03.:24:15.

All very different from Jordan and the only gaps he is concerned

:24:16.:24:18.

I just found an Amy Winehouse one and she is one of my

:24:19.:24:23.

As mentioned, there's a Europa League quarterfinal second leg

:24:24.:24:35.

playing out at Anfield, Liverpool against Dortmund. You know the game

:24:36.:24:40.

is good when you are following it on a life page and getting nervous.

:24:41.:24:44.

Liverpool have come back from the dead and scored with just a couple

:24:45.:24:49.

of minutes to go. 4-3 on the night nonetheless something miraculous

:24:50.:24:54.

happens they are going through. You will want to see Klopp's celebration

:24:55.:24:56.

at the end of that game! Goodbye. Over the past few days, the

:24:57.:25:17.

temperature has been on the mildest not the warm side particularly

:25:18.:25:21.

across southern parts. 18 Celsius early on in the
