Hello, I'm Ros Atkins, this is Outside Source.

:00:14.:00:15.

Let's look through some of the main stories here in the BBC Newsroom.

:00:16.:00:18.

In a speech at the BBC, The UN special envoy,

:00:19.:00:20.

Angelina Jolie Pitt, says the global refugee

:00:21.:00:22.

system has broken down because of the unprecedented numbers

:00:23.:00:24.

The US has announced it will give alms to the Syrian government to

:00:25.:00:37.

help it fight Islamic State. The Premnier League champions have

:00:38.:00:39.

been hailed by thousands of fans And eight Instagram models have

:00:40.:00:43.

been arrested in Iran - Because of the fiasco at Manchester

:00:44.:01:24.

United, the Incas Premier League has not technically finished. But as far

:01:25.:01:30.

as Leicester are concerned, they are the champions.

:01:31.:01:56.

It's extraordinary, they are not just top, but top by a long way.

:01:57.:02:07.

What is it like, mac -- Martini, some people have gone home. The

:02:08.:02:12.

school shot early so that people could come and line the streets. It

:02:13.:02:18.

is an incredible party. There have been other cities that have helped

:02:19.:02:25.

raised in victory parties but for Leicester, a city that never, ever

:02:26.:02:30.

thought this would happen, it was extra special. There were 240,000

:02:31.:02:37.

people lining the streets and filling this park. They predicted

:02:38.:02:42.

about 100,000, they could cope with 180,000. If it was nearly a quarter

:02:43.:02:47.

of a million. It shows you how excited people are about their

:02:48.:02:53.

football club. I guess there is an extra dimensional, not being rude,

:02:54.:02:56.

there is a distinct possibility they may never do this again, so this is

:02:57.:03:04.

a day to be treasured? Exactly. All the fans, even the die-hard fans who

:03:05.:03:09.

have waited all these years of to win the Premier League would agree

:03:10.:03:13.

with you. That's why this was such a special moment that they want to

:03:14.:03:17.

hang onto. There will be a few sore heads and a sense of anti-climax

:03:18.:03:22.

tomorrow, although they still do have the Champions League to play in

:03:23.:03:25.

next season which will be an added dimensional which they have never

:03:26.:03:31.

had before. But yes, in their 132 year history, they have never

:03:32.:03:34.

achieved anything like this. The odds at the start of the season were

:03:35.:03:43.

5000-1. The bookmakers put out ?5 million in total, and a lotta fans

:03:44.:03:49.

had a flutter. And it all came true. All those cliches about it being a

:03:50.:03:54.

fairy tale, about miracles, they have all been proved by this team

:03:55.:03:59.

that has a very small amount of money in the past to spend. All that

:04:00.:04:04.

will change. Money will flood in from the TV rights and just having

:04:05.:04:07.

won the Premier League in itself brings millions of pounds. Selling a

:04:08.:04:14.

lot of fans are hoping that whatever the secret recipe was that Claudio

:04:15.:04:18.

Ranieri managed to hold onto throughout the season, it doesn't

:04:19.:04:21.

get spoiled next year. Thank you very much.

:04:22.:04:26.

Martine saying they are going to have a lot of money. Apex excess has

:04:27.:04:32.

been that Leicester City have scouted so well. They picked up

:04:33.:04:36.

players for very little money who proved to be extraordinary talents.

:04:37.:04:40.

This is the Premier League table which Leicester City fans will never

:04:41.:04:44.

tire of looking at! Just to mention a couple of other players, he had a

:04:45.:04:53.

good day as well. Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy R.N. Roy Hodgson's

:04:54.:04:59.

provisional squad for the -- are in you Roy Hodgson's provisional squad

:05:00.:05:05.

for the European Championships. Let's talk to Tim Hague. Tell us

:05:06.:05:11.

more about who is in the squad. A great day for those Leicester

:05:12.:05:17.

players, but an even better day for 18-year-old Marcus Rushford. Roy

:05:18.:05:20.

Hodgson has named his provisional squad for the European Championships

:05:21.:05:26.

and this Manchester United striker will join up with the squad before

:05:27.:05:32.

it is whittled down. He has scored seven goals in 16 games since making

:05:33.:05:38.

his senior debut on the 25th of every. So ten weeks ago, and he is

:05:39.:05:43.

now in the England squad as well. Ask about rash rip 's chance of

:05:44.:05:50.

featuring in the final squad, and -- about Marcus chances, he said the

:05:51.:06:03.

competition is strong, but you never know. This is the full award.

:06:04.:06:09.

-- the full squad. Only three centre backs. Phil Jagielka started for

:06:10.:06:22.

England in the World Cup two years ago. There are the attacking players

:06:23.:06:30.

that we mentioned. No surprise to see those players you mentioned,

:06:31.:06:36.

Jamie Vardy and his Leicester team-mate Danny Drinkwater. And

:06:37.:06:41.

Harry Kane of course, the top scorer in the Premier League this season.

:06:42.:06:46.

Captain Wayne Rooney and at the bottom, confirmation of Marcus

:06:47.:06:51.

Rushford's inclusion. 33-year-old Jermaine Defoe, who scored most of

:06:52.:06:58.

Sunderland's league goals, did not make the cut. He is 33, when to play

:06:59.:07:04.

for Canada a few years ago and perhaps that has gone against him

:07:05.:07:09.

for Roy Hodgson. Marcus Rushford, only made his debut ten weeks ago.

:07:10.:07:16.

The rise of Rushford. It will be interesting is the if

:07:17.:07:24.

Wayne Rooney gets to start. Now, a few metres away from where Tim was

:07:25.:07:32.

A dummy bomb was left in the stadium after

:07:33.:07:36.

a training exercise - and the man whose firm left it

:07:37.:07:39.

this mistake is entirely mine. I have to take full responsibility for

:07:40.:07:53.

leaving a training item behind on Wednesday. I have been part of the

:07:54.:07:57.

Metropolitan Police Service specialist search unit, since 1985

:07:58.:08:02.

and retired in 2011. I have dedicated my service to defeating

:08:03.:08:06.

terrorism within the specialist areas that I have been privileged to

:08:07.:08:10.

work for and the people I have worked decide. -- worked beside. I'm

:08:11.:08:18.

devastated and my action has resulted in many people being

:08:19.:08:21.

disappointed, frightened and inconvenienced.

:08:22.:08:23.

BBC's Dave Guest at Old Trafford gave me more details.

:08:24.:08:29.

This emerged as a major security alert. 50,000 people have to be

:08:30.:08:37.

taken out of the stadium after the suspect device had been found.

:08:38.:08:41.

Fairly soon afterwards, it became clear this was not a viable device

:08:42.:08:52.

although the bomb squad had been in there. It emerged that there had

:08:53.:08:56.

been a training exercise and devices left in there as part of the

:08:57.:09:00.

exercise. One of the devices got left in their in a public toilet. It

:09:01.:09:04.

was not until yesterday when somebody spotted it and reported it,

:09:05.:09:09.

they decided because of the look of it, they had to treat it as a

:09:10.:09:13.

terrorist threat and evacuate the stadium. As you have heard, the

:09:14.:09:17.

owner of the company which carried out the training has now held his

:09:18.:09:21.

hands up and said that the mistake was theirs and they left the thing

:09:22.:09:25.

behind and they did not mean to and they apologised for the problems

:09:26.:09:31.

caused. Who will pick up the bill? This must have cost Manchester

:09:32.:09:34.

United and thousands of individuals lots of money. Good question. The

:09:35.:09:40.

match against Bournemouth is going to be restaged here tomorrow night.

:09:41.:09:47.

Some people are saying it could cost Manchester United between ?3 million

:09:48.:09:50.

and ?5 million because they have said that all the ticket holders

:09:51.:09:54.

from yesterday will be reimbursed and can watch without charge.

:09:55.:09:56.

Bournemouth have said they will provide travel for their fans to

:09:57.:10:01.

come. But there is a lot of money at stake. Then there are the policing

:10:02.:10:05.

costs involved in evacuating the stadium and making sure there was

:10:06.:10:09.

order outside the stadium and having research carried out yesterday. For

:10:10.:10:16.

the latest from the BBC sport newsroom, you can also download if

:10:17.:10:18.

you have the BBC sport at. There was a time when the republican

:10:19.:10:28.

presidential nominee might be expected to be on good terms

:10:29.:10:30.

with a Conservative This dates back to when David

:10:31.:10:33.

Cameron calling Donald Trump's proposed temporary ban on Muslims

:10:34.:10:39.

entering the US - as "stupid, Well Mr Trump's response came today

:10:40.:10:41.

in an interview with Piers Morgan Looks like we weren't having a

:10:42.:10:54.

relationship. Looks like he is not willing to address the problem.

:10:55.:10:59.

People can attend it's not existing. Take a look in London, at certain

:11:00.:11:04.

sections of some cities throughout the world. It's a disaster. The

:11:05.:11:09.

police want nothing to do with it. It's as bad as it gets. We don't

:11:10.:11:13.

have to talk about it, or we could. Would you like David Cameron to

:11:14.:11:19.

withdraw the comments that you are stupid, divisive and wrong? Number

:11:20.:11:24.

one, I am not stupid, I can tell you that right now. Just the opposite.

:11:25.:11:29.

In terms of divisive, I'm not a divisive person, I may unify, unlike

:11:30.:11:35.

our president now. He sees himself as a unifier. Let's bring in another

:11:36.:11:45.

commentator. Mr Trump seems unconcerned he is falling out with

:11:46.:11:49.

an important person on the world stage. And that is in keeping with

:11:50.:11:55.

how Donald Trump has behaved in this improbable run. He doesn't back down

:11:56.:11:59.

when someone questions him all attacks him, particularly when he a

:12:00.:12:03.

question his intelligence. He gives as good as it gets and that has kept

:12:04.:12:08.

his opponents off-balance here in the States. He will not stop doing

:12:09.:12:12.

that to foreign leaders as well despite past history and the needs

:12:13.:12:18.

of diplomacy. He also picked up on the disagreement that he has had

:12:19.:12:21.

with the new Mayor of London, said he can't, not forgetting that he had

:12:22.:12:32.

called him ignorant. He gets particularly briskly if someone

:12:33.:12:37.

questions his intelligence. If his critics -- his critics say it's a

:12:38.:12:41.

thin skin but the people love him think he is giving as good as he

:12:42.:12:45.

gets. He's a tough guy you won't be pushed around. This is a detail. He

:12:46.:12:51.

kept looking straight down the barrel of the camera, which all

:12:52.:12:55.

major commentators -- trainers tell you not what -- tell you not to do,

:12:56.:13:02.

he is not doing things their way politicians normally do things. He

:13:03.:13:06.

is not doing things by the politicians' playbook. He is doing a

:13:07.:13:13.

reality TV playbook. If you watch the apprentice, he would look at the

:13:14.:13:19.

camera and say, you're fired. That gave him an imposing sense.

:13:20.:13:23.

Politicians are told to see more apathetic. He is not a politician,

:13:24.:13:27.

that is one thing he has made abundantly clear. But to speak to

:13:28.:13:29.

you. In a few minutes, I'll be talking

:13:30.:13:37.

to a health expert who thinks the Olympic Games in Rio should be

:13:38.:13:41.

postponed because of the Zika We'll speak to him live in a few

:13:42.:13:44.

minutes. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

:13:45.:13:51.

and Prince Harry are launching a new campaign to end the stigma

:13:52.:13:54.

surrounding mental health. Heads Together is the biggest

:13:55.:13:56.

project they've undertaken together and will see them working

:13:57.:13:59.

in partnership with a number of charities, including

:14:00.:14:01.

CALM and Mind. The royal trio were at

to the Olympic park. The royal party heard personal

:14:47.:14:49.

stories, talked about the work being done and explained why getting

:14:50.:14:52.

rid of the stigma around mental This fear of judgment stops people

:14:53.:14:57.

from getting the help that they need, which can destroy

:14:58.:15:02.

families and end lives. We have seen time and time again

:15:03.:15:06.

that unresolved mental health problems lie at the heart of some

:15:07.:15:09.

of our greatest social challenges. As the year progresses,

:15:10.:15:13.

the three of us, working with all of you in this room

:15:14.:15:16.

and others who will join us along the way, want to come up

:15:17.:15:19.

with practical ways of providing everyone who needs help

:15:20.:15:22.

with the right support and care. For those working on the ground,

:15:23.:15:28.

the royal backing is invaluable. It is as though her support

:15:29.:15:32.

and the other royals can help lift So it really makes a massive

:15:33.:15:35.

amount of difference. Even they need to let

:15:36.:15:43.

off steam at times, and there was a chance today

:15:44.:15:45.

to release a little But it is a fight Kate,

:15:46.:15:48.

William and Harry are taking on. This will be the main charity at

Nextel's London Marathon so that royal support is already paying

:16:09.:16:13.

dividends. It is an attempt by the Duke, Duchess and Prince Harry to

:16:14.:16:16.

use their considerable clout to ensure that mental health charities

:16:17.:16:19.

get the funding and the attention they need.

:16:20.:16:28.

This is Outside Source live from the BBC newsroom.

:16:29.:16:32.

in a speech at the BBC, The UN special envoy,

:16:33.:16:41.

Angelina Jolie Pitt, says the global refugee

:16:42.:16:43.

system has broken down because of the unprecedented numbers

:16:44.:16:45.

World News America is next around the world.

:16:46.:16:51.

They've got a report from Cuba about the increasing interest

:16:52.:16:53.

in the country from the West - like this Chanel fashion show.

:16:54.:16:56.

But some in the country feel like they are getting left behind.

:16:57.:17:00.

Here in the UK, the News at Ten is next.

:17:01.:17:02.

It reports on a new government plan to allow univiersities in England

:17:03.:17:06.

to charge more than ?9000 a year in tuition fees

:17:07.:17:09.

I want to talk about the Rio Olympic Games and Zika virus.

:17:10.:17:19.

This is an article in the Harvard Public Health Review

:17:20.:17:24.

It argues that zika is far worse than the International Olympic

:17:25.:17:33.

Committee is willing to admit to - and that Rio Games should be

:17:34.:17:36.

I'm going to speak to the author in a moment.

:17:37.:17:42.

First, let's remind ourselves of the scale of the problem.

:17:43.:17:44.

On this map of Brazil - all the dark red are areas where

:17:45.:17:47.

Globally more than a quarter of the world's population

:17:48.:17:53.

In Brazil there have been 4,759 confirmed or suspected cases

:17:54.:18:04.

of microcephaly associated with the Zika virus.

:18:05.:18:18.

Let's the two Amir Attaran from the University of Ottawa. I know we

:18:19.:18:25.

agreed to speak to you on Thursday and they had the drama with the

:18:26.:18:28.

political crisis, so thank you for coming back a second time. Happy to

:18:29.:18:34.

come back. Why are you suggesting such a radical plan as pushing the

:18:35.:18:41.

games back? Is not radical, it's quite conservative. But for the

:18:42.:18:47.

games, would anyone in their right mind recommend sending half a

:18:48.:18:53.

million tourists into Rio and risking active disease transmission?

:18:54.:18:57.

Of course not. That would be public health foolishness. The real

:18:58.:19:02.

question is why the games seem to turn our common-sense approach of

:19:03.:19:06.

stay away from disease on its head. That to me is the radical

:19:07.:19:09.

proposition, not the other way around. Let me bring up the response

:19:10.:19:16.

that we have seen from the IOC directly to your article. It says...

:19:17.:19:20.

We are working with our partners in Rio on measures to deal

:19:21.:19:31.

Does that not satisfy you? It is exactly what you would expect from

:19:32.:19:38.

the IOC. They have billions of dollars riding on this Olympics and

:19:39.:19:43.

they are not experts in disease so to follow their lead on anything

:19:44.:19:50.

disease related makes no sense. Rio de Janeiro state has the highest

:19:51.:19:55.

number of Zika cases reported of any state in Brazil. It is top of the

:19:56.:20:01.

list. It also has the fourth highest disease in incidents, the measure of

:20:02.:20:09.

new transmission, in Brazil. At the same time that is true, despite all

:20:10.:20:14.

those wonderful mosquito control measures that the IOC referred to,

:20:15.:20:20.

in the first quarter of this year, the rate of mosquito borne illness

:20:21.:20:26.

is up. There are six times as many cases as last year. The signs are

:20:27.:20:31.

not good. They might not be, but let's leave the IOC to one side. The

:20:32.:20:36.

world health organisation is advising pregnant women to avoid the

:20:37.:20:40.

Olympics, not everyone to avoid it. If we don't follow the IOC on health

:20:41.:20:45.

matters, surely we can follow the WHO? We can't, because the WHO has

:20:46.:20:53.

signed a partnership of agreement and the memorandum of understanding

:20:54.:20:58.

between them and requests to see that have been rebuffed so we don't

:20:59.:21:02.

know what WHO is hiding but we do know they are in a partnership. We

:21:03.:21:08.

also know that not everyone agrees with WHO. The United States Centre

:21:09.:21:13.

for disease control has similar guidelines for travel for pregnant

:21:14.:21:18.

women and it also says that for workers, like athletes, they should

:21:19.:21:29.

consider postponing travel. That is my message, consider postponing or

:21:30.:21:32.

moving these games. There is no question that the games should go

:21:33.:21:36.

ahead, it would be foolish to cancel them. But the question is, given the

:21:37.:21:40.

very serious stakes that we have seen in Brazil, the government is

:21:41.:21:47.

investigating 7000 cases of microcephaly, that is a situation

:21:48.:21:51.

where the baby is born with a shrunken head and severe brain

:21:52.:21:54.

damage, given that those could be the stakes for other tropical

:21:55.:21:57.

countries, to which the virus could be spread by these games, does not

:21:58.:22:04.

just make sense to dial things back, look for another venue, perhaps

:22:05.:22:08.

London, that could host some or all of the events. Could even share the

:22:09.:22:13.

events among multiple countries and create something quite beautiful,

:22:14.:22:18.

the first-ever global Olympics? And interesting idea, the European

:22:19.:22:22.

football championship is coming up in France, not this iteration, but

:22:23.:22:26.

versions of the tournament coming up in the future will do that across

:22:27.:22:31.

many countries, no prospect with the Olympics yet. Perhaps let's talk

:22:32.:22:35.

again in a couple of months. Annie, thank you very much.

:22:36.:22:42.

In Iran, the head of a cybercrime court has claimed that eight people

:22:43.:22:45.

had been arrested for working in "un-Islamic" online

:22:46.:22:47.

This is an ongoing operation that targeting women who post photos

:22:48.:22:51.

of themselves without a hijab - so without their hair covered.

:22:52.:22:54.

If you go to the blocked accounts on instagram,

:22:55.:22:59.

But here's Roja Assadi from BBC Persian with more details

:23:00.:23:12.

They were showing their hair, the dresses were un-Islamic, so none of

:23:13.:23:26.

the pictures were in line with the country's rules for dress codes for

:23:27.:23:31.

women. So they have broken the law? They did, but is a grey area because

:23:32.:23:37.

there is no law. When they were writing the law there was no social

:23:38.:23:42.

media, no Instagram, no Twitter or Facebook. But someone can understand

:23:43.:23:47.

the will law in a way that it doesn't matter whether it is in the

:23:48.:23:52.

real world or in the virtual world. So they have been arrested, will

:23:53.:23:58.

they be charged or go to court? In February, we had unconfirmed news

:23:59.:24:02.

that they were arrested. Eight models who were involved in

:24:03.:24:06.

modelling, they were arrested. But the authorities never confirmed it.

:24:07.:24:09.

It is only now that they confirmed that those arrests were made. So we
