Tonight, on Reporting Scotland: Fresh revelations from Australia - | :00:14. | :00:20.
the monks who formed a paedophile ring and sexually abused boys at a | :00:20. | :00:23.
school in the Highlands and East Lothian. Once again we confront a | :00:23. | :00:36.
monk accused of being part of a paedophile ring at a boys' school | :00:36. | :00:40.
in Scotland. They are supposed to be helping | :00:40. | :00:42.
fight against Scotland's record as the second fattest country, but a | :00:42. | :00:45.
BBC investigation suggests the healthy eating message isn't | :00:45. | :00:50.
getting through in some hospitals. Ready for the next battle - the | :00:50. | :00:52.
Tartan Army army are hoping Scotland-England games will again | :00:52. | :01:01.
be a regular event. Would you like to see the game come back as a | :01:01. | :01:05.
regular fixture? Yeah so, every couple of years. -- yes, every | :01:05. | :01:14.
couple of years. Also tonight, a Hollywood classic | :01:14. | :01:17.
comes to Edinburgh. One of the most popular films of all time, The | :01:17. | :01:19.
comes to Edinburgh. One of the most Shawshank Redemption, is | :01:19. | :01:21.
transformed for the festival stage. Good evening. Calls are mounting | :01:21. | :01:23.
for an independent inquiry into the deepening child sex abuse scandal | :01:23. | :01:26.
at a former Catholic boarding school in the Highlands. Yesterday | :01:26. | :01:29.
a former head teacher of the Fort Augustus Abbey school resigned from | :01:29. | :01:30.
a former head teacher of the Fort his post at Oxford University over | :01:30. | :01:33.
allegations he covered up abuse in the 1970s. Tonight, fresh | :01:33. | :01:35.
revelations have emerged about the Australian monks who formed a | :01:35. | :01:38.
paedophile ring and sexually abused boys over three decades at the | :01:38. | :01:41.
Abbey and its feeder school in East Lothian. Our investigations | :01:41. | :01:47.
correspondent Mark Daly is here with the latest. | :01:47. | :01:52.
We've heard a lot about the Benedictine monks who ran these | :01:52. | :01:55.
exclusive boarding schools in the past weeks, particularly about | :01:55. | :01:57.
these two Australian monks - Fatherr Aidan Duggan and Father | :01:57. | :02:04.
Chrysostom Alexander. But now we can reveal a third Australian Monk | :02:04. | :02:07.
was part of this paedophile ring - Father Fabian Duggan, the brother | :02:07. | :02:11.
of Aidan. All three Australians had arrived | :02:12. | :02:16.
at Fort Augustus in the early '50s. We've spoken to four former pupils | :02:16. | :02:18.
at Fort Augustus in the early '50s. who were abused, or witnessed abuse | :02:18. | :02:24.
by Father Fabian. Kees Vogt, who started at Carlekempe as an eight- | :02:24. | :02:33.
year-old in 1969, is one of them. Father Fabian Duggan, he had a long | :02:33. | :02:46.
narrow room and what he would do is he would attempt to port the | :02:46. | :02:48.
narrow room and what he would do is children in to talk to them. He | :02:48. | :02:53.
would then tend to go to the other side and he would be trapped inside | :02:54. | :02:56.
would then tend to go to the other the room and you could not get out | :02:56. | :02:59.
again. It was endemic. It happened the whole time and I knew for | :02:59. | :03:09.
myself that even though people, priests tried to do things to me, | :03:09. | :03:16.
there was no point really to report this two other priests or anything | :03:16. | :03:23.
like this because... And you would just be taught you were a liar. | :03:23. | :03:28.
Like the other Australians, Father Fabian had left Scotland in the | :03:29. | :03:32.
1970s. With no warnings given by the Benedictines about their | :03:32. | :03:34.
behaviour, he became a parish priest in Sydney. We submitted our | :03:34. | :03:37.
allegations to him and the Sydney Catholic church last Friday, but he | :03:37. | :03:46.
had died the same day, aged 83. His brother is also dead. | :03:46. | :03:49.
The last surviving Monk accused of sexual abuse is Father Chrysostom. | :03:49. | :03:50.
Yesterday we revealed fresh sexual abuse is Father Chrysostom. | :03:50. | :03:53.
allegations of abuse by him and pressure is now growing for him to | :03:53. | :03:56.
be brought back to Scotland to face his accusers. Our BBC colleague in | :03:56. | :04:11.
Australia takes up the main story. One of the main suspects in an | :04:11. | :04:16.
alleged paedophile ring is still refusing to face up to his past. We | :04:16. | :04:21.
delivered a letter to Father Chrysostom Alexander. He is still | :04:21. | :04:29.
refusing to talk to us. Get off my property. We have further | :04:29. | :04:35.
allegations made against you by a former student who alleges you | :04:35. | :04:40.
abused him in Scotland. We would very much like to hear your side of | :04:40. | :04:49.
the story, sir, please. Father Chrysostom Alexander has not come | :04:49. | :04:53.
to the door. We have just heard him shouting, ordering us off his | :04:53. | :04:59.
property. So no public comment from Father Chrysostom Alexander, who is | :04:59. | :05:04.
facing more allegations. Clearly, this is a man who is laying at low | :05:04. | :05:09.
at his home, here in suburban Sydney, but without question the | :05:09. | :05:15.
pressure on him at his mountain. He is being investigated by the | :05:15. | :05:26.
Catholic Church and the police in New South Wales. There is no | :05:26. | :05:30.
apparent obstacle to his extradition, assuming he is of good | :05:30. | :05:38.
health and the Scottish authorities are able to present their case | :05:38. | :05:41.
health and the Scottish authorities before the court. I don't see there | :05:41. | :05:46.
should be any obstacle to sending him back. Bicton save the abuse has | :05:46. | :05:52.
left a trail of destruction. The Catholic Church says it is fully | :05:53. | :06:00.
committed to uncovering the truth. And you can see Mark's updated | :06:00. | :06:03.
investigation Sins Of Our Fathers on BBC Two next Monday evening at | :06:03. | :06:09.
11.20pm. NATO has confirmed that a meeting | :06:09. | :06:12.
took place with Scottish Government officials last month to discuss | :06:12. | :06:15.
membership of the Alliance in the event of a yes vote in next year's | :06:15. | :06:17.
independence referendum. The meeting was held in Brussels in | :06:17. | :06:20.
early July and was facilitated by the UK delegation, who were present | :06:20. | :06:30.
for the discussion. Scottish civil servants met with | :06:30. | :06:34.
senior NATO officials in Brussels last month to discuss membership of | :06:34. | :06:39.
the alliance in the event of independence. Last year at the SNP | :06:39. | :06:45.
dropped its opposition to NATO. NATO officials refused to comment | :06:45. | :06:53.
and the SNP's political opponents save their policies do not add up. | :06:53. | :06:58.
They are desperate to join NATO because the people in Scotland are | :06:58. | :07:01.
desperate for the security that comes with that membership. What | :07:01. | :07:07.
they cannot do his disregard the central tenet of NATO and that is | :07:07. | :07:15.
the nuclear alliance. If Scotland becomes independent, it will be | :07:15. | :07:19.
viewed as a new state and will have to go through the standard | :07:19. | :07:25.
application procedures. Above all, it is argued that other NATO states | :07:25. | :07:30.
would not want Scotland to be interested. It is in the interest | :07:30. | :07:35.
of NATO and Scotland for Scotland to remain a member. We have always | :07:35. | :07:39.
made it clear that our membership of NATO it will be contingent on | :07:39. | :07:43.
getting rid of nuclear weapons from Scotland. Officials at NATO HQ say | :07:43. | :07:51.
the final decision on Scottish alliance membership will be down to | :07:52. | :07:57.
the member states. Until then, the Scottish people will have to make | :07:57. | :08:01.
their own decisions in the referendum next year. | :08:01. | :08:04.
You are watching Reporting Scotland from the BBC. Still to come on the | :08:04. | :08:07.
programme: Remembering the last ever execution | :08:07. | :08:09.
by hanging in Scotland. In sport - after last night's | :08:09. | :08:12.
thrilling England Scotland match at Wembley, we ask what are the | :08:12. | :08:14.
chances of playing our oldest footballing foes every year? | :08:14. | :08:17.
And find out who's been declared preferred bidder for Hearts. | :08:17. | :08:25.
A BBC investigation is questioning how seriously hospitals are taking | :08:25. | :08:29.
the Government's healthy living campaign. Health boards have been | :08:29. | :08:33.
under pressure to improve the choices of food available to both | :08:33. | :08:36.
patients and visitors, yet secret filming reveals the message in some | :08:36. | :08:38.
hospitals is not getting through. Samantha Poling's exclusive report | :08:38. | :08:41.
contains some images of surgical procedures. | :08:41. | :08:51.
Is there any fruit? A patient trolley about to go on its ward | :08:51. | :08:59.
rounds in a Glasgow hospital. It doesn't go on the ward round? It | :08:59. | :09:04.
doesn't. Or would be a healthy option? My next stop is the | :09:04. | :09:09.
hospital canteen. It is only 11 o'clock, but the pizzas and chips | :09:09. | :09:18.
up there in abundance. Scotland is now the second fattest country in | :09:18. | :09:22.
the world. This a obesity epidemic cost the NHS in Scotland £200 | :09:22. | :09:28.
million a year. Yet this hospital consultant says you need look no | :09:28. | :09:32.
further than a hospital reception areas to question the commitment of | :09:32. | :09:40.
help boards to -- in promoting healthy eating. A good example of | :09:40. | :09:48.
what we should not be given to patients is in hour vending | :09:48. | :09:55.
machines. A patient with heart problems was given macaroni and | :09:55. | :10:01.
mashed potato for lunch. This man had a bypass on the NHS. Without it | :10:01. | :10:09.
he believes he would be dead. My mother and my stepsister died from | :10:09. | :10:14.
being obese. That was really hard. You saw this happen and yet you | :10:14. | :10:23.
just carried on. If you had a had the gastric surgery, what would | :10:23. | :10:30.
have happened? A I would have died. I would have died. No doubt then? | :10:30. | :10:45.
None. I would have been no more. This consultant barrier tricks | :10:45. | :10:47.
surgeon says the toll of these This consultant barrier tricks | :10:47. | :11:00.
patients are taking -- says the toll of these patients are taking | :11:00. | :11:11.
on the NHS is immense. This is not a quick fix. It is a dangerous | :11:11. | :11:16.
surgery and very expensive. The Ministry for Health says that | :11:16. | :11:20.
health boards need to take responsibility. The industry needs | :11:20. | :11:25.
to recognise it has a part to play in causing the problem. They also | :11:25. | :11:31.
need to play a part in solving it. They are not doing enough at the | :11:31. | :11:36.
moment. The message from government is that it really isn't adequate. | :11:36. | :11:40.
We want to see them taking action and if they don't, we are prepared | :11:40. | :11:45.
to legislate when necessary. The government says more details of | :11:45. | :11:50.
that legislative framework will be revealed in the autumn. | :11:50. | :11:55.
And you can see more of Samantha Poling's investigation in tonight's | :11:55. | :11:58.
film Scotland The Fat on BBC One at eight o'clock. | :11:58. | :12:00.
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 59-year-old | :12:00. | :12:04.
man on a bus in the Yoker area of Glasgow on Monday. 46-year-old | :12:04. | :12:06.
Laurence Patrick from Clydebank appeared in private at Glasgow | :12:06. | :12:09.
Sheriff Court charged with fatally stabbing Alexander Glassford on the | :12:09. | :12:12.
bus in Dumbarton Road. Patrick made no plea and was remanded in custody. | :12:12. | :12:22.
Time now for other stories from across Scotland this evening: | :12:22. | :12:23.
Edinburgh's controversial tramway system, which is still under | :12:23. | :12:26.
construction, is to be integrated with other public transport | :12:26. | :12:27.
construction, is to be integrated services in the city. Edinburgh | :12:27. | :12:32.
City Council is to create a new organisation called Transport for | :12:32. | :12:37.
Edinburgh. The body will also have responsibility for buses and | :12:37. | :12:38.
improving facilities for pedestrians and cyclists. That is | :12:38. | :12:50.
aware first priority - how can we integrate? We need to make sure | :12:50. | :12:55.
people can move easily between the bus service and the new tram | :12:55. | :12:58.
service. The Aberdeen-based Stewart Milne | :12:58. | :13:01.
Group is to pay the city council £1 million in an out of court | :13:01. | :13:04.
settlement over a land deal. It follows a Supreme Court ruling | :13:04. | :13:07.
against the construction company involving the sale of land at | :13:07. | :13:08.
Westhill. The number of people living on | :13:08. | :13:11.
Scotland's islands has increased, according to the latest census | :13:11. | :13:14.
figures. Much of the rise is down to an 11% jump in the population on | :13:14. | :13:18.
Orkney in the ten years to 2011. Lewis and Harris have also seen an | :13:18. | :13:21.
increase. But other islands such as Arran, Bute, Tiree and Islay have | :13:21. | :13:25.
seen numbers of residents fall. The cancer charity Marie Curie is | :13:25. | :13:28.
to provide more nursing staff for Skye and Lochalsh to allow | :13:28. | :13:31.
terminally ill patients to die at home. Research suggests the numbers | :13:31. | :13:35.
of terminally ill people who want to spend their last days in their | :13:35. | :13:40.
own homes is increasing. A new global industry body which | :13:40. | :13:43.
represents salmon farmers has been launched in Norway. Most farmed | :13:43. | :13:47.
salmon is produced in Scotland, Norway, Canada and Chile and the | :13:47. | :13:50.
Global Salmon Initiative will unite 15 of the industry's leading | :13:50. | :13:56.
companies from all four countries. The group will look at ways of | :13:56. | :13:59.
expanding salmon farming and address environmental concerns. | :13:59. | :14:04.
And there are more stories from your area and all the latest news | :14:04. | :14:07.
24 hours a day on BBC Scotland's website. | :14:07. | :14:12.
50 years ago today the last ever hanging took place in Scotland. | :14:12. | :14:17.
Henry Burnett's execution for murdering his lover's husband was | :14:17. | :14:19.
Henry Burnett's execution for the only one to be held at | :14:19. | :14:22.
Aberdeen's Craiginches jail in its 123 year history. | :14:22. | :14:36.
This is the execution chamber in which Henry Burnett drew his last | :14:36. | :14:44.
breath. A trapdoor opened and he fell through. August 15, 1963, the | :14:44. | :14:52.
prison was said to be almost silent. A slight smile. He came through the | :14:52. | :15:00.
store accompanied by the executioner and the prison officers. I got a | :15:00. | :15:07.
momentary glimpse of him as he passed me and it was sufficient for | :15:07. | :15:12.
me to recognise him. Henry Burnett was found guilty of murder after the | :15:12. | :15:18.
three-day trial. Many felt the execution was harsh. The crowd | :15:18. | :15:21.
outside the jail failed to stop the punishment. Other the papers | :15:21. | :15:26.
followed this story with interest, there were no big sensational | :15:26. | :15:30.
headlines. On the day of the execution, it simply said, ETA clock | :15:30. | :15:40.
the fateful hour for Henry Burnett. Supporters viewed the crime as a | :15:41. | :15:47.
crime of passion. He was having an affair with a married woman, her | :15:47. | :15:51.
husband ended up dead. He thought she was going back to our husband so | :15:51. | :15:55.
he wanted to get the husband out of the way. He stole his brother's | :15:55. | :16:00.
scone and came here to get rid of the husband to protect his | :16:00. | :16:05.
relationship. As with anyone sentenced to death, the prisoner | :16:05. | :16:09.
never had any opportunity to leave the jail. He was buried on site, in | :16:09. | :16:14.
an unmarked grave, somewhere around here. With the jail due to close | :16:14. | :16:21.
next year, Henry Burnett will finally escape the prison walls. | :16:21. | :16:25.
Locks are being held with his family about what should happen to his | :16:25. | :16:32.
remains. -- talks. Time for the sports News now with | :16:32. | :16:36.
David Currie, back in the studio after the Wembley adventure. | :16:36. | :16:40.
The Scottish Football Association have held talks with their | :16:40. | :16:43.
counterparts in England about a possible return fixture against the | :16:43. | :16:46.
auld enemy. It's after Scotland were last night defeated 3-2 by England | :16:46. | :16:49.
at Wembley. But it was a memorable encounter, as Jonathan Sutherland | :16:49. | :16:55.
reports. Train. Tartan Army returning home after their missions | :16:55. | :17:01.
those with a buoyant mood generally. How heartened to you by | :17:01. | :17:05.
the performance? It was better than a has-been in recent years. The team | :17:05. | :17:10.
was brilliant. I thought the whole team was terrific. The girl from | :17:10. | :17:18.
Rickie Lambert to make it 3-2 meant glorious failure in terms of the | :17:18. | :17:23.
result. It was a performance which raised Scottish Hearts and continued | :17:23. | :17:29.
the sense that things are improving under manager Gordon Strachan. James | :17:29. | :17:32.
Morrison stand Wembley by pitting Scotland into the lead. England hit | :17:32. | :17:40.
back. Tom Cleverley's pash unleashing Theo Walcott to draw | :17:40. | :17:44.
level for England. Scotland were not finished. Kenny Miller push to | :17:44. | :17:52.
Scotland into the lead for a second time. England equalised again, this | :17:52. | :17:59.
time through Danny Welbeck. A brave showing, despite the end result. | :17:59. | :18:05.
Every two years I would say. How much did you enjoy the game? It was | :18:05. | :18:12.
amazing. As the Tartan Army returning home after their missions | :18:12. | :18:17.
south, the mission is clear. The oldest international fixtures should | :18:17. | :18:21.
return on a more regular basis, but is it practical? From a policing | :18:21. | :18:27.
perspective it is just another football match. We have more than | :18:27. | :18:31.
enough resources to deal with any event which was to feature in the | :18:31. | :18:38.
calendar. There's a lot of history involved in these fixtures. 14 years | :18:38. | :18:41.
has long time to wait since the last one. A biennial appearance could | :18:41. | :18:50.
work quite well. The SFA are keen on a return fixture and believe their | :18:50. | :18:57.
English counterparts who has seen. Fitting into the crowded fixture | :18:57. | :18:59.
list will be the trick. Once the draw for your 2016 is made, talks | :18:59. | :19:04.
might take place. The administrators at Hearts have | :19:04. | :19:07.
chosen the supporters group The Foundation of Hearts as preferred | :19:07. | :19:10.
bidders for the club. The Tynecastle side entered administration in June | :19:10. | :19:13.
with debts of about £28 million. They now have to reach some sort of | :19:13. | :19:16.
financial agreement with the club's main creditors who are based in | :19:16. | :19:19.
Lithuania. Brian McLauchlin has more. Less than one week after | :19:19. | :19:27.
saving a derby day success over their rivals. Paterson makes the | :19:27. | :19:35.
derby day breakthrough. Bands have been given the news they were hoping | :19:35. | :19:39.
for regarding potential ownership of the club. It is fantastic. We still | :19:39. | :19:45.
have a long way to go, but now we know that the foundation are the | :19:45. | :19:51.
preferred bidders, I think that is the news that myself and all the | :19:52. | :19:57.
playing staff and other staff are looking forward to hearing. It is a | :19:57. | :20:02.
big day for the football club and we hope we can move forward now. The | :20:02. | :20:06.
foundation plan to take money from the bank account of fans who have | :20:07. | :20:10.
pledged early next month but that is still some way to go. The secured | :20:10. | :20:16.
creditors are owed around £25 million. The foundation have around | :20:16. | :20:22.
3 million. How confident are the administrators that a deal can be | :20:22. | :20:26.
concluded? It is a very difficult situation we inherited, especially | :20:26. | :20:32.
about the cash flow situation. We have moved on quite positively, | :20:32. | :20:37.
having a preferred bidder is positive. We're in good | :20:37. | :20:42.
communication with the Lithuanian bank so I would say we're slightly | :20:42. | :20:46.
further on and I thought we might be. Still some way to go before the | :20:46. | :20:50.
deal was concluded, but progress has been made as the fans rallied to try | :20:50. | :20:57.
and save their beloved club. Scots hurdler Eilidh Child finished | :20:57. | :21:01.
fifth in the final of the world championships in Moscow. It was the | :21:01. | :21:05.
first time the Perth Athlete had qualified for the final. That's her | :21:05. | :21:08.
in the outside lane. After the race the Commonwealth Games silver | :21:08. | :21:11.
medallist said she could have done even better. My whole aim was to | :21:11. | :21:17.
come here and make the final. If you said I would be first, I would take | :21:17. | :21:24.
that. But seeing the times, I could have got a medal and I am a bit | :21:24. | :21:28.
disappointed. He led Europe's best golfers to a | :21:28. | :21:32.
Ryder Cup win over the United States in 2002. Now Sam Torrance has been | :21:32. | :21:36.
chosen to skipper Great Britain and Ireland against the rest of Europe | :21:36. | :21:39.
in the Sevvy Trophy. Named in honour of the late Sevvy Ballesteros. | :21:39. | :21:44.
That's not why he donned mortar board and robes though - he was in | :21:44. | :21:48.
the University town of St Andrews promoting the Seniors Open which | :21:48. | :21:51.
starts there tomorrow but he had time to reflect on his new job. The | :21:51. | :21:57.
trophy, yes it is fantastic and it was a surprise. To be honest, I | :21:57. | :22:02.
never thought if I would be capped and again it would be against the | :22:02. | :22:07.
Europeans, but it is a fantastic honour. Anything which is a memorial | :22:07. | :22:12.
for Seve Ballesteros is a joy to be part of. | :22:12. | :22:19.
Thank you. The Shawshank Redemption - set in an | :22:19. | :22:23.
American prison - is most famous as a Hollywood film. But in Edinburgh, | :22:23. | :22:26.
some of the festival's best known comedians have gone back to the | :22:26. | :22:29.
Stephen King book for a new stage version. Our arts correspondent | :22:29. | :22:32.
reports. A 6-figure budget, a cast of top | :22:32. | :22:37.
actors and comedians and a story best known from the 1995 film. | :22:37. | :22:47.
Bringing the Shawshank Redemption to the stage has not been without its | :22:47. | :22:52.
challenges. Everybody has an idea in their head of auditors but we were | :22:52. | :22:57.
not allowed to use anything from the movie. It was a challenge to try and | :22:57. | :23:16.
make it, what is the word? It is the latest in a long line of film | :23:16. | :23:21.
inspired Fringe shows. For one actor it is a chance to right a wrong | :23:21. | :23:29.
decision. I turned down a part in the movie. A skydiving movie | :23:29. | :23:42.
instead. So I am back. Ever since that day, eight years ago. It offers | :23:42. | :23:48.
a rare opportunity for Fringe regulars and newcomers. I am | :23:48. | :23:59.
slightly older. They asked me why I wanted to do this play and I said I | :23:59. | :24:07.
wanted to go to the festival. It does not seem a bad thing to be | :24:07. | :24:16.
doing. The play has proved to be a big hit with audiences but it is | :24:16. | :24:21.
still too early to tell whether this show will transfer once more to the | :24:21. | :24:27.
West End. Now we get the weather forecast. | :24:27. | :24:34.
Thank you very much. Good evening. Fairly cloudy across much of the | :24:34. | :24:39.
country tonight with heavy and persistent rain in central and | :24:39. | :24:43.
southern parts of Scotland. There as the rain just in towards the Central | :24:43. | :24:48.
Belt, but tends to pull away towards England overnight. 12 showers, but | :24:48. | :24:54.
generally confined to the far north so it will be dry for most of us | :24:54. | :24:59.
tonight. It is humid with temperatures at around 13 Celsius. | :24:59. | :25:05.
Tomorrow will be a fresher day. It stars of cloudy with showers in the | :25:05. | :25:11.
West, dry and bright in the East. Through the day it becomes sunshine | :25:11. | :25:18.
and showers. These showers being driven towards the east through the | :25:18. | :25:23.
day. Temperatures in the high teens and perhaps into the 20s in the | :25:23. | :25:30.
north and east. Thicker cloud across the Hebrides and also for Orkney and | :25:30. | :25:35.
Shetland. The rest of the afternoon and evening, we tend to lose the | :25:35. | :25:40.
showers and it turns drive the time. Out in the Atlantic, we can see this | :25:40. | :25:47.
area of low pressure coming our way. That is the weather for Saturday. It | :25:47. | :25:51.
brings heavy rain and some strengthening winds, potentially | :25:51. | :25:58.
deal forced up the West Coast. Saturday morning will see the | :25:58. | :26:02.
heaviest rain but it will improve by the afternoon, especially in the | :26:02. | :26:07.
West. Continued improvement by Sunday because this area of low | :26:08. | :26:13.
pressure. We are to the far north. It reaches Shetland on Sunday. The | :26:13. | :26:20.
mainland is not too bad on Sunday. Still a strong westerly breeze. One | :26:20. | :26:28.
to light showers. It should be dry. Sunday will be better than Saturday. | :26:28. | :26:32.
More details online. Thank you very much. I remainder of | :26:32. | :26:40.
the top news. Calls are mounting for an independent enquiry into the | :26:40. | :26:43.
deepening child sex abuse scandal at a former Catholic boarding school in | :26:43. | :26:48.
the Highlands. Fresh revelations have emerged about the Australian | :26:48. | :26:52.
monks who formed a suspected paedophile ring and sexually abused | :26:52. | :26:57.
boys over three decades. In Egypt that has been a sharp rise | :26:57. | :27:01.
in the official death toll from yesterday's clashes between the | :27:01. | :27:05.
security forces and supporters of the ousted president. At least 525 | :27:05. | :27:13.
people are now known to have died. NATO has confirmed that a meeting | :27:13. | :27:15.
took place with the Scottish Government officials last month to | :27:15. | :27:17.
discuss membership of the alliance in the event of a yes vote in next | :27:17. | :27:24.
year's independence referendum. The former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee | :27:25. | :27:27.
Travis has been charged with 11 counts of indecent assault and one | :27:27. | :27:33.
count of sexual assault. It follows an investigation by detectives from | :27:33. | :27:36.
Operation Yewtree, the enquiry set up by Scotland Yard. | :27:36. | :27:41.
Enjoy your evening. Goodbye. | :27:41. | :27:45. |
