The Labour conference pays tribute to its Scottish contingent | :00:00. | :00:00.
after the rejection of independence, but the wrangling over more powers | :00:07. | :00:09.
They are more donations for a Glasgow food bank after a peace | :00:10. | :00:33.
protest. And I will be here at the Ryder Cup. It feels real now. Sales | :00:34. | :00:48.
of Scotch whisky oversees a slump, but they say that the industry is | :00:49. | :00:50.
still healthy. And the village in Stirlingshire | :00:51. | :00:51.
that's bringing to life the stories of local men who died | :00:52. | :00:53.
in the Great War. The UK Government says it will | :00:54. | :01:02.
"absolutely honour" the commitment for a rapid transfer | :01:03. | :01:06.
of more powers to Holyrood. The leader of the House of | :01:07. | :01:09.
Commons William Hague made the statement in the face of SNP | :01:10. | :01:12.
claims of backsliding. Labour has said it remains committed | :01:13. | :01:15.
to further devolution to Scotland, but has criticised | :01:16. | :01:19.
the Conservatives for trying to One leading Yes campaigner has said | :01:20. | :01:21.
there will be another independence referendum | :01:22. | :01:28.
if the UK parties don't deliver. Our political correspondent Glenn | :01:29. | :01:30.
Campbell is at Holyrood tonight. Where only really just beginning to | :01:31. | :01:45.
explore the full consequences of the referendum. They will do that in | :01:46. | :01:49.
more detail here tomorrow as they have been discussing it at the | :01:50. | :01:51.
Labour conference in Manchester today, from where our political | :01:52. | :01:58.
correspondent reports. The banners may be a touch dated, | :01:59. | :02:03.
but the message is bang up to date. The People's Museum in Manchester is | :02:04. | :02:08.
proud of its Labour links. A century ago, the party's founder in Scotland | :02:09. | :02:15.
was demanding the home rule. Now it is closer than you think. Alastair, | :02:16. | :02:21.
I want to thank you because you could've had an easier life after | :02:22. | :02:26.
2010. There was relief for the leadership here, coupled with barbed | :02:27. | :02:33.
comments. I just like to say to Alex Salmond, you have lost office and | :02:34. | :02:39.
the referendum and now you have lost the plot. But also a commitment to | :02:40. | :02:44.
push ahead with more devolution as soon as possible. You voted yes | :02:45. | :02:51.
because you wanted a fairer Scotland Thomas we can work together. If you | :02:52. | :02:55.
voted yes because you want to build a movement to help our country, the | :02:56. | :03:01.
Labour Party is not your a poignant but your home. -- opponent. The | :03:02. | :03:08.
people in Scotland wants change and they are want to want to change and | :03:09. | :03:14.
they are right that we had not offered the people of Scotland a | :03:15. | :03:17.
vision of change that they could believe in in the past. But there | :03:18. | :03:24.
was comments about past complacency. Even after the SNP started winning | :03:25. | :03:29.
parliamentary seats in the east end of Glasgow, some in the Scottish | :03:30. | :03:35.
Labour Party climate to the mantra, we, the middle classes. | :03:36. | :03:42.
Tonight, a very public show of unity for those in Labour who helped see | :03:43. | :03:46.
all of independence. The referendum battle may have been won, but there | :03:47. | :03:51.
is likely to be no shortage of constitutional skirmishes had. -- | :03:52. | :04:01.
ahead. It has been strangely quiet here | :04:02. | :04:04.
after all the excitement of the past few days. | :04:05. | :04:09.
The rows of TV cameras that came from around the world to witness the | :04:10. | :04:13.
referendum have left this purpose built platform overlooking the | :04:14. | :04:19.
Scottish Parliament. The interest is now elsewhere and much of the debate | :04:20. | :04:22.
over further devolution to Holyrood has shifted from here to | :04:23. | :04:29.
Westminster. When Gordon Brown pushed a motion that would be backed | :04:30. | :04:32.
by all the leaders lunch today, he called on the government to publish | :04:33. | :04:38.
devolution plans before Halloween, to agree with other parties by St | :04:39. | :04:44.
Andrews date, and to draft a law by Burns night in January. The Prime | :04:45. | :04:48.
Minister wants more devolution to happen together with Scottish MPs | :04:49. | :04:53.
not being allowed to vote on English only issues. He invited conservative | :04:54. | :05:03.
MPs to discuss English only votes for English only laws, and wants to | :05:04. | :05:08.
fast-track the idea. He said that will not delay powers for Scotland. | :05:09. | :05:14.
There is a good understanding that there are natural consequences of | :05:15. | :05:18.
devolution for the rest of the United Kingdom. It is a matter of | :05:19. | :05:22.
fairness for all of the nations and all of the people of the United | :05:23. | :05:27.
Kingdom. MSP 's will return to parliament for the first time since | :05:28. | :05:30.
the vote on independence tomorrow. It was here a statement from the | :05:31. | :05:36.
First Minister, followed by a debate over two days on the implications of | :05:37. | :05:44.
the no vote. Yes campaigners are considering how best to channel | :05:45. | :05:48.
their energies, and many seem determined to press the UK parties | :05:49. | :05:53.
for maximum devolution. The Scottish people will be watching carefully as | :05:54. | :05:57.
to what is happening and we will not allow any backsliding. And three | :05:58. | :06:02.
referendums later, if they do backslide, there will be another | :06:03. | :06:07.
referendum. I'm sure about that. Alex Salmond said a referendum is a | :06:08. | :06:10.
once in a generation advance, but his successor could choose to revise | :06:11. | :06:13.
that thinking. Is Nicola Sturgeon the only name | :06:14. | :06:16.
in the frame? When nominations for the SNP | :06:17. | :06:24.
leadership opens on Wednesday, I suspect she will formally throw her | :06:25. | :06:34.
hat into the ring. She has the backing of almost all the other | :06:35. | :06:37.
members of the Cabinet and I don't know anybody who will stand against | :06:38. | :06:40.
her, but I don't know if there's is any contest, I think it will be | :06:41. | :06:46.
widely anticipated that she will be the next leader of the SNP and the | :06:47. | :06:50.
next First Minister and she would be the first woman to hold either of | :06:51. | :06:55.
those posts. One other development, the SNP and indeed the Green party | :06:56. | :07:00.
are celebrating a surge in membership tonight. SNP said they | :07:01. | :07:06.
have put on something like 17,000 members since the referendum and | :07:07. | :07:10.
they are now challenging the liberal Democrats across the UK in terms of | :07:11. | :07:15.
the size of the party. And there is a development | :07:16. | :07:18.
surrounding the referendums a result tonight, I understand? | :07:19. | :07:23.
Yes, within the last hour the chief counting officer for the referendum | :07:24. | :07:28.
has issued a statement saying she is satisfied that all accounts were | :07:29. | :07:32.
conducted properly and she has done that because there is material | :07:33. | :07:38.
circulating on social media that seems to question the integrity of | :07:39. | :07:42.
the count process. But she points out that the votes, as they were | :07:43. | :07:47.
being counted, that was closely watched by both Yes and No | :07:48. | :07:56.
campaigners. She says if there was wrongdoing, it would've been and | :07:57. | :07:57.
reported to her. An armed police operation which ran | :07:58. | :07:58.
for several hours today in the Armed officers left the close of a | :07:59. | :08:01.
tenement flat after failing to find Police had received information that | :08:02. | :08:06.
33-year-old Jonathan Kelly, released from Lowmoss jail last | :08:07. | :08:09.
month, was seen in the area. Officers say they are still looking | :08:10. | :08:13.
for Kelly, who has a history of violence and | :08:14. | :08:16.
the public should not approach him. He has breached his conditions and | :08:17. | :08:21.
has a history of violence. Police are investigating | :08:22. | :08:23.
whether the violent murder of an Edinburgh man was triggered | :08:24. | :08:25.
by an argument over a game of pool. Thomas Lamb was found lying | :08:26. | :08:29.
seriously injured in Restalrig Circus in the early hours | :08:30. | :08:31.
of the Saturday morning. The 46-year-old was the victim of | :08:32. | :08:34.
a sustained and brutal attack after Police are examining a pitchfork | :08:35. | :08:38.
found nearby and are appealing I am entirely satisfied that he was | :08:39. | :08:56.
in the public house up until around 1am when he left on his own. He was | :08:57. | :09:01.
followed, or not necessarily followed, but three men left after | :09:02. | :09:05.
him and they are who we are interested in. The description we | :09:06. | :09:08.
have of them is pretty vague at the moment but they are about five foot | :09:09. | :09:14.
nine or five foot ten, late teens or early 20s, of average build. | :09:15. | :09:15.
You're watching Reporting Scotland from the BBC. | :09:16. | :09:17.
Still to come on tonight's programme: | :09:18. | :09:18.
Sales of Scotch whisky overseas slump - but the industry says long | :09:19. | :09:21.
In sport, it?s the first head to head of Ryder Cup week as | :09:22. | :09:28.
And it?s exactly a year and a day until Scotland kick | :09:29. | :09:32.
But head coach Vern Cotter says, right now, his team is not ready | :09:33. | :09:37.
More on that in the sport coming soon. | :09:38. | :09:45.
People have donated more than ?10,000 worth | :09:46. | :09:49.
of food to a food bank that sprang up spontaneously in Glasgow's George | :09:50. | :09:53.
Campaigners had gathered in the square at the weekend to show unity | :09:54. | :09:57.
But after one campaigner's speech, something unexpected | :09:58. | :10:01.
Another donation land at the doorstep of Glasgow's needy food | :10:02. | :10:18.
Bank. Two days ago, this was a small charity run by a father and son | :10:19. | :10:24.
either living room. Now they have been given nearly ?10,000 worth of | :10:25. | :10:29.
food for people who need them. This is the fear that was collected over | :10:30. | :10:32.
yesterday and Saturday. Are you impressed by this? -- this is the | :10:33. | :10:42.
food. I am so happy. Some of the scenes we witnessed were terrific. | :10:43. | :10:47.
This will go a long way towards helping people in Scotland gets | :10:48. | :10:51.
their food at night and breakfast in morning. | :10:52. | :10:55.
A man gave his speech on unity in George Square. When people listening | :10:56. | :11:01.
heard about his food banks, they began bringing bags of groceries, as | :11:02. | :11:05.
this mobile phone footage shows. And they haven't stopped yet. Fabulous, | :11:06. | :11:11.
wonderful, magnificent. That is all the words I can say. All these young | :11:12. | :11:16.
children holding bags with their mums, old people crying, handing him | :11:17. | :11:21.
stuff. There was people from Aberdeen, we were told it was | :11:22. | :11:26.
getting retweeted over in Canada. People were inspired to do something | :11:27. | :11:30.
after trouble flared up here on Friday night. They didn't want | :11:31. | :11:34.
violence to be the last image of Scotland to spread around the world. | :11:35. | :11:39.
Rather than sitting on the sidelines, I felt inspired to get | :11:40. | :11:42.
off the couch and go to the supermarket and get food and drop it | :11:43. | :11:45.
off. Raising awareness is such a good thing to do. This third Reich | :11:46. | :11:50.
was so successful, that they organisers are hoping to make this a | :11:51. | :11:53.
weekly event in George Square. They are hoping that I'm a by doing so, | :11:54. | :11:59.
they will show the people here and the city and a much more positive | :12:00. | :12:01.
light. -- in doing so. Public views have been sought | :12:02. | :12:05.
on Police Scotland's decision to allow some | :12:06. | :12:07.
of its officers to carry handguns The Scottish Police Authority has | :12:08. | :12:09.
asked if the move has impacted on feelings of safety and security | :12:10. | :12:13.
and trust in the police as part Police Scotland and the Scottish | :12:14. | :12:16.
Government said the deployment of firearms officers offered better | :12:17. | :12:21.
protection to the public. Perth Royal Infirmary has been told | :12:22. | :12:24.
to improve the care of older people. The watchdog Health Care Improvement | :12:25. | :12:29.
Scotland said not all older people were being assessed within | :12:30. | :12:32.
recommended timescales and there NHS Tayside was told it must improve | :12:33. | :12:34.
performance Now, last week's referendum is not | :12:35. | :12:40.
the only big event to take place This week's Ryder Cup golf | :12:41. | :12:45.
tournament at Gleneagles in Perthshire will attract | :12:46. | :12:51.
a global audience of hundreds And Scottish firms are looking to | :12:52. | :12:56.
make the most of the event, as our business correspondent David | :12:57. | :13:00.
Henderson has been finding out. It looks a arena, but soon this | :13:01. | :13:10.
place will be transformed by one of the biggest sporting events in the | :13:11. | :13:18.
world. -- serene. It will be a festival of golf over three long | :13:19. | :13:21.
days. When these marquees are complete, they will cater to some of | :13:22. | :13:28.
the 50,000 people who will come to the Ryder Cup every day. But of | :13:29. | :13:33.
course, this is a global sporting event, too. Every day at home, | :13:34. | :13:38.
something like half a billion people will be watching. It all starts off | :13:39. | :13:44.
right here on the first tee. Already, the scene has changed. It | :13:45. | :13:49.
now looks like this. For the fans, that is a mouthwatering prospect. So | :13:50. | :13:54.
to the food on offer. It is like catering for a small town. Companies | :13:55. | :13:58.
that normally supply Wimbledon or the Olympics are working with | :13:59. | :14:01.
Scottish suppliers and Scottish produce. Whether people are having a | :14:02. | :14:08.
sausage roll which is prepared by people down the road or they are | :14:09. | :14:16.
having other food from someone else, that whole supply route is set up | :14:17. | :14:23.
here. It is tremendously exciting. The Ryder Cup's global profile has | :14:24. | :14:28.
soared in the last few years. That is good news for a clothing form | :14:29. | :14:33.
which has, for decades, supplied the outfits. They are now looking to | :14:34. | :14:36.
generate sales from fans all around the world. We get a lot of people | :14:37. | :14:41.
from Asia who want to have the European team can't. They want a | :14:42. | :14:48.
product which is Scottish made. It is that kind of target. If all goes | :14:49. | :14:54.
well, this event could be one long advert for these venue itself. They | :14:55. | :15:01.
are looking for a rise in booking next year and beyond as fans look to | :15:02. | :15:07.
visit the scene of and epic sporting event. | :15:08. | :15:09.
Hundreds of dead and dying young gannets have been washed ashore | :15:10. | :15:11.
The birds, known as gugas, are heavier than adults and unable | :15:12. | :15:15.
Tens of thousands of gugas leave the Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth | :15:16. | :15:22.
in September and October each year, but many don't survive. | :15:23. | :15:24.
Walkers who find live gugas in distress are being advised to | :15:25. | :15:27.
contact the Scottish sea bird Centre in North Berwick or the | :15:28. | :15:30.
Edinburgh Zoo has confirmed that its giant panda is | :15:31. | :15:33.
It says Tian Tian's hormone levels have returned to normal. | :15:34. | :15:39.
The zoo says that data gathered since conception took place | :15:40. | :15:41.
indicated she was expecting and likely to carry to full term, | :15:42. | :15:45.
Sales of Scotch whisky overseas slumped by | :15:46. | :15:55.
The industry says the downturn is partly due to slower consumer growth | :15:56. | :15:59.
in major markets like China and to the strength of the pound | :16:00. | :16:03.
But distillers say long-term prospects remain healthy. | :16:04. | :16:08.
Making whisky is a relatively easy process, requiring just three | :16:09. | :16:25.
ingredients. It also requires a degree of patience over the three | :16:26. | :16:30.
years minimum time. Selling it is more complex, with a import regime | :16:31. | :16:37.
and currency fluctuations. The first six months of this year have seen | :16:38. | :16:40.
exports tumble after seven years of Germanic growth. In China, we have | :16:41. | :16:47.
seen a cutback in consumption at the top end. In the longer term, we plan | :16:48. | :16:55.
to see more building Thomas but this is a blip in China and a different | :16:56. | :17:00.
market will emerge. In America, it is a reduction in the stock level, | :17:01. | :17:04.
but we are seeing a single malts holding firm and we will see this | :17:05. | :17:09.
grow in weeks and months ahead. Exporters have seen a job in key | :17:10. | :17:15.
markets like America and China and Brazil. There has been some good | :17:16. | :17:20.
news. There is a first for Scotch in Taiwan and the Middle East and | :17:21. | :17:26.
France were sales are up. Overall, exports fell by 11%, although the | :17:27. | :17:31.
industry says it is not unduly worried about this. It is about | :17:32. | :17:40.
laying down stock now for the years ahead. We will see a return in Asia | :17:41. | :17:45.
to growth, we to leave the opportunities will grow. Whisky | :17:46. | :17:50.
companies are currently splashing out billions to expand existing | :17:51. | :17:55.
capacity. They are putting their energies and cash into promoting | :17:56. | :18:02.
Scotch in large emerging markets. Exports are worth more than ?4 | :18:03. | :18:06.
billion a year, so they will be hoping that these figures are a blip | :18:07. | :18:09.
and not the start of a longer-term trend. | :18:10. | :18:10.
Susan Boyle has launched Poppy Scotland's distribution | :18:11. | :18:12.
She visited the Lady Haig's Poppy Factory in Edinburgh, where disabled | :18:13. | :18:21.
veterans have spent the past year assembling five million poppies | :18:22. | :18:23.
Last year Poppy Scotland's appeal raised more than ?2.6 million, to | :18:24. | :18:27.
The important point about all of this is that the poppy is a | :18:28. | :18:43.
semblance of remember it. Although it started a hundred years ago, it | :18:44. | :18:47.
is still a part of contemporary Scotland. -- symbol of remembrance. | :18:48. | :18:52.
Meanwhile locals from the village of Strathblane in Stirlingshire have | :18:53. | :18:55.
been discovering more about the 27 men named on their memorial to those | :18:56. | :18:58.
There are 27 men who fought in the great war, remembered here. But who | :18:59. | :19:07.
were they and what were their stories? This local former librarian | :19:08. | :19:12.
wanted to find out more about them. When I was down in Norfolk, I found | :19:13. | :19:20.
someone's name on a memorial and a local historian had left information | :19:21. | :19:26.
beside it with his photograph, and I thought we could do that in our | :19:27. | :19:29.
village because I knew we didn't have many men in the memorial, and I | :19:30. | :19:32.
thought, why didn't we find out about them? One of the men whose | :19:33. | :19:38.
name is on the Memorial is this man. His family had very little to | :19:39. | :19:43.
remember him by. We have a little book that he carried in his pocket | :19:44. | :19:54.
and in the book, we have the dog rose from 1916 and in the back of | :19:55. | :19:58.
the book, we have the calendar which is marked off right up until the 6th | :19:59. | :20:03.
of September. That was when he was possibly injured. He survived until | :20:04. | :20:10.
the eighth and then died. And this was how the project work. Families | :20:11. | :20:15.
helped a historian piece together the stories. This private still had | :20:16. | :20:20.
these postcards. He is a man of few words. It says on the back, this is | :20:21. | :20:26.
the card and I hope you will like it. I will try something else if it | :20:27. | :20:35.
gets through. We put out the words, articles and the local newspapers, | :20:36. | :20:39.
and we just asked people to ask their friends and just through | :20:40. | :20:42.
word-of-mouth, these people gradually came. And piece by piece, | :20:43. | :20:51.
27 stories came together. It has made me want to start to find out | :20:52. | :20:54.
more about our family and about the war. The private was 19 when he died | :20:55. | :21:03.
in 1916. Now his family and the village he is remembered in Brum no | :21:04. | :21:07.
-- know more about his story. No respite from big occasions - | :21:08. | :21:09.
here's Rhona with tonight's sport. The players of Europe and America | :21:10. | :21:12.
have arrived at Gleneagles Today the captains had | :21:13. | :21:16.
their chance to meet the media and start the rivalry brewing, | :21:17. | :21:19.
with European Captain Paul McGinlay saying his players deserve | :21:20. | :21:24.
the tag of favourites. From the course, here's | :21:25. | :21:26.
our golf reporter Phil Goodlad. Welcome to the first tee here. We | :21:27. | :21:43.
are -- where exactly on Friday morning, the first ball will be | :21:44. | :21:50.
stuck. We are four days a way from that, but a sense of excitement is | :21:51. | :21:54.
upon us with the American team arriving in Edinburgh this morning. | :21:55. | :22:01.
This is a special place. Scotland is where the game of golf was invented | :22:02. | :22:04.
at the history of the game here is rich with wonderful stories about | :22:05. | :22:10.
different players. I feel like I'm part Scottish that way. The world's | :22:11. | :22:15.
media has already arrived here and they were all watching as he and | :22:16. | :22:21.
Paul McGinlay gave a media conference earlier. Before Paul | :22:22. | :22:31.
McGinlay had something to say. He was very poignant. We had first good | :22:32. | :22:37.
round and a second good round, and he will be OK. He arrived to couple | :22:38. | :22:41.
hours ago and he is getting his feet under the table nicely and he will | :22:42. | :22:46.
be a good addition to our team. There'll be more from here tomorrow, | :22:47. | :22:49.
but I will leave you with what Paul McGinlay told us in that press | :22:50. | :22:52.
conference. He said it was a fitting tribute to his coach, one of his | :22:53. | :22:59.
slogans will be, above the locker room door as the locker room door as | :23:00. | :23:04.
a player 's the United States on Friday, the quote is, gentlemen, | :23:05. | :23:08.
these are the happiest days of your lives. | :23:09. | :23:09.
The Scotland rugby head coach Vern Cotter admits that, as things | :23:10. | :23:12.
stand, his players are unprepared for next year?s World Cup. | :23:13. | :23:14.
The New Zealander was in Glasgow today promoting Scotland's autumn | :23:15. | :23:17.
tests against Argentina, New Zealand and Tonga. | :23:18. | :23:20.
But don't despair, Cotter insists - with 12 months hard graft, | :23:21. | :23:23.
It is officially the first day of autumn, so what better way to | :23:24. | :23:42.
celebrate it than to gather interest is not these players will need to | :23:43. | :23:47.
prove their worth ahead of next year 's World Cup. One of the things we | :23:48. | :23:54.
have to understand is were not ready yet to play the World Cup and we | :23:55. | :24:00.
have a lot of work to do, tactical and physical. We will be using the | :24:01. | :24:03.
autumn test has a measuring stick and we will get an idea of where we | :24:04. | :24:14.
are at. OK Cotter, point taken. Last time, there was one real high. But | :24:15. | :24:29.
far too many lows. Scotland won the final five nation | :24:30. | :24:36.
in 1995, but in the 15 seasons of this season, they didn't do well. | :24:37. | :24:42.
The question is can they change under Cotter? The goal we will have | :24:43. | :24:47.
is pushing against Ireland and those teams. Our target is to try to win | :24:48. | :24:54.
it. That should be music to the ears of Scottish rugby fans. | :24:55. | :25:00.
The Celtic manager Ronny Deila says he'll continue to be critical | :25:01. | :25:02.
of his players when necessary as he looks for consistent, | :25:03. | :25:05.
After yesterday's draw at home to Motherwell, Deila complained that | :25:06. | :25:10.
only Scott Brown and Kris Commons showed any signs of leadership. | :25:11. | :25:16.
Today he was asked how his squad react to such comments. | :25:17. | :25:20.
I think it's very important to be honest and say how it is and you | :25:21. | :25:29.
have to adapt and learn from every experience, I say that all the time. | :25:30. | :25:34.
If you are not honest, if you were just saying good things to each | :25:35. | :25:38.
other, you will never go further. I think it is also important that the | :25:39. | :25:43.
fans know what is going on. The standards we want to have. | :25:44. | :25:48.
David Gourlay, the Scotland Bowls Head Coach, has announced today he | :25:49. | :25:50.
The former world champion says he intends to focus | :25:51. | :25:54.
Gourlay managed to guide Scotland's bowlers to a highly successful | :25:55. | :25:57.
Commonwealth Games this summer, with three gold medals to their credit. | :25:58. | :26:02.
He said as a coach, nothing could ever top his Glasgow | :26:03. | :26:04.
Six men have been charged over the riots on Friday. They have been | :26:05. | :26:28.
charged with violence, and breach of the piece. All but two were remanded | :26:29. | :26:30.
in custody. Here's Sarah Smith with details | :26:31. | :26:35.
of what's coming up The recommend and may be over, but | :26:36. | :26:43.
there is more to talk about. -- referendum. How can the Labour Party | :26:44. | :26:49.
wingback supporters who voted yes? How will parties have to change | :26:50. | :26:59.
their minds? Let's find out what | :27:00. | :27:01.
the weather is up to. It has been sunny. But there is a | :27:02. | :27:14.
different story here. There will be rain across the Highlands and it | :27:15. | :27:17.
will spread across the East. It may become quite persistent as we head | :27:18. | :27:22.
through the night. It'll had through dumb freeze and Galloway in the | :27:23. | :27:28.
Borders in the early hours. The temperatures will fall in the | :27:29. | :27:35.
Highlands. Elsewhere, it will be ten or 11 Celsius. It will be a cloudy | :27:36. | :27:39.
and damp start for the country tomorrow. There will be plenty in | :27:40. | :27:48.
the way of sunshine in the East. A closer look at tomorrow afternoon. | :27:49. | :27:55.
It was afternoon here, but as we head to the northwest, there will be | :27:56. | :27:58.
patchy rain and drizzle throughout the afternoon and into the | :27:59. | :28:04.
afternoon. Some rain around for Shetland, but in the East will see | :28:05. | :28:09.
some drier and brighter weather. The better temperatures will be around | :28:10. | :28:10.
mid-teens. I'll be back with the headlines | :28:11. | :28:13.
at 8:00pm and the late bulletin just | :28:14. | :28:16.
after the 10:00pm Until then, from everyone | :28:17. | :28:18.
on the team, right across the | :28:19. | :28:21. |
