Ministers in Edinburgh have already set ambitious targets to reduce them

Now the SNP wants to make that target even higher.

If re-elected in May, it wants carbon levels reduced

We set a target of 42% in reduction in emissions to be achieved by 2020.

We now think it's important that, if an SNP government is re-elected,

we continue our efforts and make a significant contribution

towards our objectives on tackling climate change.

But Scotland has failed interim goals in this area, missing

Some parties question whether new targets will be met.

It is not enough to set ambitious targets and then set more targets

and then set more targets when we've been missing them so far.

More than targets, what we need is a clear plan and programme

of funded actions that the Scottish Government are going to take.
