A Scottish judo star who is recovering from a coma

following a motorcycle accident in Vietnam

An air ambulance has arrived at the medical facility in Bangkok,

where Stephanie Inglis is being treated.

She's expected back in Scotland tomorrow.

Representing Scotland, Stephanie Inglis! Stefanie Inglis wowed the

crowds by winning silver at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. She had

been teaching English in Vietnam when a motorbike crash left her

badly injured. Doctors in the country initially gave her a very

slim chance of survival. Now, the news that a homecoming is within

sight. The judo star is said to be improved enough for her parents to

explain what was going to happen, and during a busy session, she

smiled. This childhood friend has been raising money for her

treatment. It's brilliant, and it has been such a relief to get her to

this stage, so we have been waiting for this since the beginning of

this. To now be there and get her home is just William, and I would

just like to thank everybody for the support, as if it had not been for

all of them, we would not be here today. She has a strong character,

and great determination, and she is showing that through their recovery.

Doctors are asking their everyday to do something different, lifted a

leg, move her fingers, open their eyes, and she is doing it all and

not faltering. If she can keep that up, hopefully things are good for

the future. Stefanie Inglis still has a fight

ahead, but at last, what her family and friends have been hoping for.

She should be back home soon. Detectives investigating the murder

of a woman in Ayrshire have said they are linking it to a fire

in which her partner Officers found 53-year-old

partner had been seriously injured following a fire at nearby
