The police have issued a drugs warning after the death

Officers said Shellie Callaghan may have taken ecstasy pills.

The teenager fell ill at a house party in an area known as the Bryans

in the former mining town of Newtongrange.

She died in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Amid fears that the youngster may have had access to ecstasy-type

tablets, the police have issued a drugs warning.

They are urging anyone who has taken these pills,

known as Red Bugatti Veyron and Purple Ninja Turtle,
