Life on the island looks back to normal. Local children play and

tourists explore. But not f`r from this beach there has been a manhunt.

Gareth Huntley was volunteering at a sea turtle project but took time off

last Tuesday to take a walk in the jungle alone. Rescued queues have

looked neither trail on land and from the air. I could not fhnd

anything. Malaysia and police say because of this, the dense jungle.

You can imagine how easy it is for someone to hide in there. Btt this

is where a man's body was found 100 metres away from where he h`d been

volunteering at. Only a few paces away where rescue workers h`d been

staying for the past three days It raises a lot of questions. How

horror was the search and w`s this an accident or foul play? It is an

agonising wait for Gareth Htntley's mother. Malaysia and police say it

will take two days to confirm whether the body is Gareth Huntley.

Many people here make a livhng off tourists. It is still a safd place.

People will still want to come. I just want to tell the peopld, it is

very safe to come here. These rescue workers are the last to leave the

island. The search for Gareth Huntley has been called off, but

many questions still linger. An officer from Essex Policd has

been arrested in connection with an investigation into

an allegation of a sexual offence. The force say the man was arrested

on May the 8th and has been suspended from his post pending

the outcome of the investig`tion. Hundreds of people had to bd

evacuated from Western Europe's It followed reports

of smoke coming from the basement of the Shard ` and it led to

hundreds of people being ev`cuated Sonja Jessup can tell us more

about happened. There was no fire, but a buhlding of

this size, nobody was taking any chances. It was evacuated this

afternoon and 900 people had to walk down all of those stairs to safety.

Roads were closed off as emdrgency services moved in. 55 firefhghters

came out and what they found was smoke in the basement. They said the

response was necessary becatse of the size of the building. It is a

large building and the baselent area is a large complex. However, we have

been involved in various exdrcises within this building prior to its

opening and apps `` after it is open to make sure our planning w`s in

place. No fire, but it did have an impact on the area? The main thing

is nobody was hurt. Emergency services say in terms of getting

everybody out, everything wdnt smoothly. But local traders who lost

business, don't see it that way We lost money, about ?1500. It is very

bad. What caused the smoke? That still remains a mystery, but what we

are told is it is not being treated as suspicious.

Nearly three years after thd London riots, businesses in some affected

areas say they're still fighting to get their livelihoods back.

Among the complaints are insurance companies dragging their fedt

and having layers of bureaucracy to deal with.

So now, the government has pledged to speed things up.

compensation. It is cases lhke these that have prompted the government to

look at the act. We are proposing a new raw rope to be set up in the

wake of widespread rioting so there would be a system which would mean

things would hope Willie happen faster in future. The government

consultation will run until August the 1st, almost three years to the
