Good evening and welcome to BBC Newsline. A child remains in a

critical condition in hospital after being burned during an

incident in Ballymena. The boy, who is believed to be four years old,

was found on the Larne Road yesterday. It's understood his

clothes may have caught fire from a candle at his home in the

Harryville area of the town. A woman tried to help the child by

beating out the flames with her bare hands. She was also taken to

hospital for treatment for burns injuries. The boy was brought to

Antrim Area Hospital, but he was later transferred to the Royal

Victoria Hospital in Belfast. There were noisy scenes when three

men and a woman were brought to court in Ballymena on charges

arising from an attempted murder in Portrush early yesterday morning. A

relative of one of the accused was warned by the magistrate to treat

the court with respect after shouting out from the public

gallery. Mervyn Jess reports from Ballymena.

The commotion began when the defendants were brought to

Ballymena court this morning. The magistrate had -- could hear

shouting and banging on the walls. The magistrate asked what the

commotion was about and was told by a defence lawyer that much of it

was directed to his client, the female defendant. Shannon Bryant,

15, was charged with having cocaine, incitement to murder and assisting

offenders. She was released with an electronic tag any fine of �500. A

ten-year-old Nathan hearken from Portrush who was charged with

attempted murder was also at least on bail with similar restrictions.

The other two defendants from Portrush were remanded in custody.

One was charged with attempted murder, having an offensive weapon

and making death threats, Arthur Hunt son was also accused of

attempted murder. The defendants spoken only to acknowledge they

understood what was being said to them. As one was being taken from

the dock, his brother shouted to him from the public gallery, he was

rebuked from the magistrate, he said had enough disruption. He said

he was in a corporate, not a public bar. -- court room.

Jim Allister has launched a scathing attack on the Deputy First

Minister. Addressing his party's annual conference in Cookstown, the

TUV leader called Sinn Fein hypocrites over their attitude to

IRA dissidents and branded Martin McGuinness the personification of

evil. This province is stained with

innocent blood, and those to shed it, those who planned it and those

who endorsed it. They rule over us. It is that evil, at the heart of

government, and make no mistake about it, there is evil at the

heart of the Stormont government! The BBC's annual Children in Need

show in Northern Ireland has raised almost �800,000. Across the UK, the

charity raised a record on-the- night total of nearly �26.8 million.

The total here is one of the largest in recent years. A combined

choir of pupils from local schools joined 2,000 others from throughout

the UK in a live rendition of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

The highlight for me in Northern Ireland where the choir, who were

magnificent, the best bit was that there were so many fund raisers

coming into the BBC all day, children all day, fundraisers all

evening, we got so much support, a It has been a cold day and we're

expecting a cold at night, the globe behind the giving away the

frost, that will be on the cards, it will be quite icy and places,

particularly in the western counties. The showers will continue

through the night but will gradually fail -- fade away.

Temperatures will drop to minus tier degrees. Plenty of dry weather

night, there will be rain and windy weather, it will also mean a return

to a milder conditions for next week. The sunshine continues

initially on Sunday afternoon, consider towards dusk, it has

clouded over. The wet weather will become widespread tomorrow night.

Lots of wet-weather. Localised flooding is possible. Quite a noisy

night, with the strong wind. Frost- free. Monday morning will not be
