Good evening. The trial of three men charged with sexually abusing two

children during the 1990s has begun hearing closing arguments. The

alleged victims are a brother and sister. The accused are their

father, uncle and a family friend. As David Maxwell reports, the jury

was reminded of detailed and at times distressing evidence. This

trial is now in its third week and today the Judy were told they will

not be presented with any more evidence. The lawyers summed up the

case reminding the Judy of details. The prosecution lawyer asked the

Judy live with the alleged victims wait for years and then concoct

wicked lies? Why would the submit themselves to open court and in one

case an intimate examination if none of this was true. The court were

called to the men admitted an offence against their own sister in

the 70s and 80s. A defence barrister for the man described as a family

friend then summed up our client is accused of offences connected to the

alleged female victim. It was asked why she had made no mention of his

client or the parties when first reporting this to the police. He

said the logical explanation was that these people did not exist and

the parties did not happen. There have been appeals for an end to

internet drinking contests after the death of a teenager in the Republic.

The new craze is called Neknominations. People consume a

concoction of alcohol drinks and then nominate or dare someone to go

one better. BBC Newsline's Tara Mills reports on a local web page

that's decided to change what it posts. We are going to try the

of this 19-year-old said he fell into the water while carrying out a

down. The site now promotes safe drinking.

The fact that people are often drinking alone and the potentially

toxic mixture is they are consuming has been ringing alarm bells. We saw

a full bottle of tequila being drank whiskey bottle of milk. We saw motor

oil being added to a concoction. People need to be aware that these

can be very toxic substances not for consumption by humans. This pup

called as they have now removed this video from their Facebook age and

will not be repeating this prank. They do not tolerate anything which

is directly harmful. A 36-year-old man has been found not guilty of the

manslaughter of a nightclub bouncer in Portrush. Colin McLeister died

after falling down stairs at the Playhouse complex while escorting

the accused from the premises. The prosecution had alleged Murdock

Martin Doherty, from Hawthorn Crescent in Dunloy, had pushed the

doorman. But he said he had accidentally stumbled into him. An

investigation has concluded that an Ulster Unionist MLA's wife was

accidentally hit by her husband and not by the police during a protest.

Michael Copeland had accused a police officer of hitting his wife

with a baton last August. Our Home Affairs Correspondent Vincent

Kearney reports. 26 officers were hurt when loyalists attacked police

in the city centre last August. They gathered to demonstrate against the

republican parade which had been due to March. Please came under

sustained attack. The Ulster Unionist MLE Michael Copeland later

claimed his wife, daughter and himself had been attacked by a

of two soldiers killed in a car crash in North Yorkshire at the

weekend was from Northern Ireland. 23-year-old Mark McKeen died when

their car hit a tree near Catterick Garrison. Both men served with The

Royal Dragoon Guards. The combination of wind, high tides and

driving rain caused problems on some coastal roads in County Down today.

But properties were spared any serious flooding. Helen Jones

reports. High tide in Newcastle and the surge gathers momentum, huge

but the sun should come through in most places as the morning

progresses. A few showers scattered around over western areas. The last

of the rain clearing away from north-east Scotland. Another area of

stormy weather will bring heavy rain to the Republic of Ireland and

southwestern Britain later in the day. The wet and when the weather

will come forward for Tuesday night into Wednesday. A few showers in the

East on Tuesday but a lot of places will stay dry. And early warning is

out for yet more stormy weather to develop through Tuesday night and

into Wednesday. It is another area of low pressure in the South West of

Ireland. Rain and gusts are expected. We are the is the high

flooding again. It will quieten down again later in the week. And a
