Good evening, the headlines on BBC Newsline... | :00:00. | :00:19.
I'm live outside the police station where the Sinn Fein leader Gerry | :00:20. | :00:22.
Adams continues to be questioned about the IRA murder of Jean | :00:23. | :00:31.
McConville. Jean McConville's son says he knows who killed his mother. | :00:32. | :00:37.
I hope they see our mother in us and I hope it comes back to haunt them. | :00:38. | :00:46.
A substantial might of explosives is found in North Belfast. A man is | :00:47. | :00:50.
arrested. A County Antrim farmer is sent to | :00:51. | :00:54.
jail for animal cruelty offences. In our series on the entertainment | :00:55. | :00:58.
economy we look at how a hit TV series is now part of the tourist | :00:59. | :01:00.
trail. And what happened to spring? There | :01:01. | :01:04.
were hints of winter in the air today - I'll be back with a full | :01:05. | :01:13.
local weather forecast. Hundreds of people have been | :01:14. | :01:16.
arrested and questioned by the police about Troubles offences. No | :01:17. | :01:20.
arrest has caused as much controversy as that of Gerry Adams | :01:21. | :01:24.
in connection with the murder of the mother of ten, Jean McConville. She | :01:25. | :01:29.
was abducted from Divis Flats in West Belfast and murdered by the IRA | :01:30. | :01:35.
in 1972. Her remains were found over three decades later at Shelling | :01:36. | :01:38.
Hill, an isolated beach in County Louth. The Sinn Fein president, who | :01:39. | :01:45.
is a County Louth TD, has always denied being involved in her death. | :01:46. | :01:57.
Today his party criticised what it referred to as the dark side of | :01:58. | :02:00.
policing. We'll have more on reaction to his arrest in a moment. | :02:01. | :02:04.
First Tara Mills is in Antrim where Gerry Adams is in custody. | :02:05. | :02:08.
Gerry Adams is the first leader of a modern mainstream Irish political | :02:09. | :02:10.
party to be questioned about a murder. He came here voluntarily | :02:11. | :02:19.
almost 24 hours ago. A short time later the police issued a brief | :02:20. | :02:23.
statement saying they had arrested a 65-year-old man. The arrest and | :02:24. | :02:33.
questioning have cost headlines around the world. One of Northern | :02:34. | :02:38.
Ireland's most important politicians... There was no | :02:39. | :02:46.
mistaking the impact of the story. In Northern Ireland police are | :02:47. | :02:49.
questioning Gerry Adams... Gerry Adams is one of the most powerful | :02:50. | :02:52.
Catholic politicians in Northern Ireland... The arrest of Gerry Adams | :02:53. | :03:00.
is a sensitive matter... Shortly before arriving at Antrim police | :03:01. | :03:03.
station with a solicitor last night, Gerry Adams spoke to had he about | :03:04. | :03:10.
his decision to do so. I am going to speak to the PSNI voluntarily | :03:11. | :03:12.
because there has been a malicious campaign against me. I will tell the | :03:13. | :03:18.
PSNI that I am innocent, totally, of any part in the abduction, the | :03:19. | :03:24.
killing or the burial of Jean McConville. Detectives investigating | :03:25. | :03:27.
the abduction and murder of the mother of ten were waiting for the | :03:28. | :03:32.
Sinn Fein leader when he arrived. It had been arranged in advance after | :03:33. | :03:37.
talks between the police and his solicitor. On arrival Gerry Adams | :03:38. | :03:41.
was arrested and interviewed under caution. He spent the night in a | :03:42. | :03:45.
police cell and questioning resumed this morning. Sinn Fein has | :03:46. | :03:48.
complained about the timing of the arrest, offering the party leader | :03:49. | :03:52.
offered to meet the police five weeks ago. What conclusion can I are | :03:53. | :04:00.
any other -- I, or any other person, come to other than a political party | :04:01. | :04:09.
leader finds himself under arrest. First Minister rejected the claim. | :04:10. | :04:16.
He chose it to be during the election campaign and the police | :04:17. | :04:20.
must not allow the election campaign to deflect them from their duty, a | :04:21. | :04:27.
duty they have two the victims. The Chief Constable refused to be drawn | :04:28. | :04:30.
on the issue at a meeting of the Policing Board today. It would be | :04:31. | :04:39.
inappropriate to comment. Police forces have rejected the allegation | :04:40. | :04:43.
that it is causing maximum embarrassment for Sinn Fein. The | :04:44. | :04:46.
police say they had to follow a proper process to be in a position | :04:47. | :04:51.
to put as much evidence as possible to a suspect during interview. | :04:52. | :04:54.
Detectives interview a suspect when they believe the time is right, not | :04:55. | :04:59.
when the person to be interviewed says they are ready. Gerry Adams | :05:00. | :05:02.
offered to speak to police after Ivor Bell was arrested in March and | :05:03. | :05:06.
later charged with aiding and burping a murder. Ivor Bell was | :05:07. | :05:09.
charged on the basis of an interviewee gave as part of an Oriel | :05:10. | :05:15.
-- interview he gave as part of a oral history project. Once a close | :05:16. | :05:21.
friend of Gerry Adams, the two men are seen inside the Maze prison. He | :05:22. | :05:26.
implicated the Sinn Fein leader in the murder. There was only one man | :05:27. | :05:30.
who could give the order for that woman to be executed and that man is | :05:31. | :05:35.
now the head of Sinn Fein. Gerry Adams was asked about the claims in | :05:36. | :05:41.
a BBC documentary last year. Did you give the order for the execution of | :05:42. | :05:45.
Jean McConville? I had no part to play in the adoption or the burial | :05:46. | :05:51.
of Jean McConville or indeed, any of the other individuals and Brendan is | :05:52. | :05:57.
telling lies. The interviews by Brendan Hughes and Ivor Bell and a | :05:58. | :06:05.
number of others were made available to detectives. It is understood the | :06:06. | :06:07.
Sinn Fein leader will be questioned about any claims made about his | :06:08. | :06:18.
involvement. Gerry Adams is being held under the Terrorism Act and | :06:19. | :06:22.
under its terms, he can be held for 48 hours. After that police would | :06:23. | :06:25.
have to seek an extension to the questioning time. If there are any | :06:26. | :06:28.
developments we will bring those to you before the end of the programme. | :06:29. | :06:34.
It's been more than 40 years since Jean McConville, a widowed mother of | :06:35. | :06:37.
ten children, was taken from her west Belfast home, shot dead, and | :06:38. | :06:41.
secretly buried by the IRA. It has become one of the most notorious | :06:42. | :06:46.
incidents of the Troubles. Our reporter Conor Macauley spoke at | :06:47. | :06:48.
length to Jean McConville's son Michael today. He described how, as | :06:49. | :06:52.
an 11-year-old boy, he witnessed his mother's abduction. I remember that | :06:53. | :07:01.
night, between half five and six o'clock, there was a rock at the | :07:02. | :07:11.
door. We answered the door and a group of people came in. Some were | :07:12. | :07:16.
masked and some were not. The people who were not masked, we knew them, | :07:17. | :07:23.
because they lived in the flats complex. These people knew us and | :07:24. | :07:37.
they knew us by name. We had all wrapped ourselves around our mother | :07:38. | :07:46.
and did not want them to take. I want my money back. She was | :07:47. | :07:52.
panicking, she was crying, she was shaking. They put my mother into the | :07:53. | :08:04.
back of the van. One of the cars/off -- one of the car is rules -- drove | :08:05. | :08:14.
away. Certain members of the family know who the people were and I have | :08:15. | :08:17.
never given a statement to the police. The reason for that is | :08:18. | :08:26.
because I know there could be repercussions about this, about the | :08:27. | :08:34.
IRA would not take this lightly and they would probably kill one of the | :08:35. | :08:39.
members of my family. You say you have seen some of the people | :08:40. | :08:42.
responsible for your mother's abduction in the street and have | :08:43. | :08:46.
done from time to time. What thoughts go through your head when | :08:47. | :08:49.
you see these people? I look at these people and I say to them, I | :08:50. | :08:59.
hope you still remember. I hope when they look at us what they still see | :09:00. | :09:04.
is our mother in us and I hope it comes back to haunt them, which it | :09:05. | :09:11.
is doing now. These people shouldn't be in a court in Northern Ireland, | :09:12. | :09:16.
they should be brought to court in the Hague for war crimes because | :09:17. | :09:23.
that's what this is, this is a war crime. This happened in the Second | :09:24. | :09:31.
World War and Bosnia, and the people who took people out and shot them | :09:32. | :09:38.
and Sigrid reburied them was -- secretly buried them work taken | :09:39. | :09:42.
before court and there is no difference. In the interview to RTE | :09:43. | :09:46.
before his arrest, Gerry Adams again denied ever being in the IRA. But in | :09:47. | :09:50.
the course of his remarks he insisted he had never dissociated | :09:51. | :09:53.
himself from the organisation and never would. Some commentators think | :09:54. | :09:56.
that is a shift in language. Our political correspondent Martina | :09:57. | :10:02.
Purdy has this report. Gerry Adams is talking to police | :10:03. | :10:08.
this evening about alleged IRA activities. But for years, this is | :10:09. | :10:12.
the line he has taken with reporters. Have you ever been a | :10:13. | :10:18.
member of the higher rate? Know, and I have to say that is a bit rich, | :10:19. | :10:22.
having to all the time and to this question and continue on this basis. | :10:23. | :10:28.
I have not been in the IRA. At other times, he has not been quite so | :10:29. | :10:35.
polite. I wasn't in the IRA and do not be smart with me. In 1972 the | :10:36. | :10:42.
then Secretary of State released Gerry Adams from internment and | :10:43. | :10:47.
secretly flew the young republican and known IRA leaders to London for | :10:48. | :10:51.
talks about an IRA truce. Images like these have undermined Mr | :10:52. | :10:58.
Adams' denials. Was he a member of the eye array? That is for the | :10:59. | :11:01.
public to decide. When you look at the image of him walking on the | :11:02. | :11:07.
Falls Road in a beret, just yards behind the late Martin Meehan, one | :11:08. | :11:11.
of the most feared gunman in West Belfast at that time, he was not on | :11:12. | :11:17.
his way to a fancy dress party. This former IRA member is among those who | :11:18. | :11:22.
have mocked Gerry Adams' denials. Peter Rogers told the BBC last week | :11:23. | :11:27.
that Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness had ordered him to bomb | :11:28. | :11:32.
England in the 1980s and he had this to say about the denials. I would | :11:33. | :11:36.
say that they are suffering from Alzheimer's or something like that. | :11:37. | :11:43.
They definitely were there. In the past, Gerry Adams has said he would | :11:44. | :11:48.
never disavowed the IRA and, of course there was this infamous, | :11:49. | :12:02.
unguarded moment. They haven't gone away, you know. This caused a furore | :12:03. | :12:08.
and four years, the emphasis has been on denials of IRA membership, | :12:09. | :12:14.
even as he delivered the eye array cease-fire and decommissioning. | :12:15. | :12:18.
These latest comments have become a talking point. I have never do so | :12:19. | :12:22.
see you did myself from the IRA and never will this is the my self from | :12:23. | :12:32.
the IRA. -- disassociates itself. For me, it is a shift. He has played | :12:33. | :12:37.
around with those words before. It was clear in that interview where he | :12:38. | :12:41.
said he had never disassociates himself and he never will. That is a | :12:42. | :12:47.
much more definite position. In the ill-fated Haass talks, Sinn Fein put | :12:48. | :12:53.
the emphasis on a truth commission for all sides. | :12:54. | :12:58.
The Prime Minister has rejected claims that the Sinn Fein's | :12:59. | :13:07.
leader's arrest had been politically interfered with. We have an | :13:08. | :13:10.
independent judicial system here in England and in Northern Ireland and | :13:11. | :13:14.
there has been no political interference in this issue. We have | :13:15. | :13:20.
independent policing authorities, independent prosecuting authorities. | :13:21. | :13:22.
Those are vital part of the free country and a free society we enjoy | :13:23. | :13:28.
today. Mark Devenport is with me. What is Dublin's reaction? Enda | :13:29. | :13:35.
Kenny the Taoiseach asked about this and he said the important fact to be | :13:36. | :13:40.
borne in mind was the murder of Jean McConville and he hoped that the | :13:41. | :13:43.
Sinn Fein president won't answer any questions put to him as best he | :13:44. | :13:48.
could in what he termed a live investigation. -- the Sinn Fein | :13:49. | :13:53.
president would answer. How lasting is the bad relationship between | :13:54. | :13:59.
Gerry Adams and the police? They seem to be very angry. Four years | :14:00. | :14:03.
ago, when Martin McGuinness was standing shoulder to shoulder with | :14:04. | :14:09.
Peter Robinson and denouncing dissidents, a different image to day | :14:10. | :14:15.
when they were separately arguing. Martin McGuinness saying that whilst | :14:16. | :14:18.
he believed there were positive elements in policing, he believed | :14:19. | :14:22.
there was a dark side that he blamed for the timing of the arrest. What | :14:23. | :14:26.
impact could this have on the elections? It is hard to be certain | :14:27. | :14:30.
since we still have a continuing situation. You would have to say | :14:31. | :14:36.
that a large number of Sinn Fein voters, particularly north of the | :14:37. | :14:42.
border, will have either said, either we disbelieve these | :14:43. | :14:44.
allegations or it happened some years ago and all things happened on | :14:45. | :14:49.
all sides, so it might not necessarily change voting habits. | :14:50. | :14:53.
Maybe different down south. Martina referred to the Haass talks. It | :14:54. | :14:58.
raises the issue of dealing with the past. We had a peace deal in 1998 | :14:59. | :15:05.
but we did not have an amnesty or an end to prosecutions. That became a | :15:06. | :15:09.
matter of controversy when the Attorney-General suggested a line | :15:10. | :15:11.
should be drawn under those prosecutions. We have had the Haass | :15:12. | :15:16.
talks, which were not able to agree on any limited immunity for the | :15:17. | :15:20.
politicians. We still have a situation where when you get a | :15:21. | :15:24.
murder investigation of this kind, there is still the possibility of | :15:25. | :15:27.
prosecution, albeit that anybody who would face charges would only serve | :15:28. | :15:31.
two years in jail. You're watching BBC Newsline and | :15:32. | :15:35.
still ahead on the programme... In our series of reports on the | :15:36. | :15:39.
entertainment economy, we hear from people attracted here by the | :15:40. | :15:43.
international TV series Game Of Thrones. | :15:44. | :15:53.
The police have found what has been described as a substantial quantity | :15:54. | :15:56.
of high explosive during a search of a block of flats in north Belfast. | :15:57. | :16:03.
Officers arrested a 47 new old man during the operation in the new | :16:04. | :16:07.
Lodge area. -- 47-year-old. Police said the storing of the explosives | :16:08. | :16:10.
in a block of flats where hundreds of people live beggars belief. | :16:11. | :16:14.
The funeral has taken place of the County Antrim soldier Corporal | :16:15. | :16:17.
Geoffrey McNeill, who was killed in a barracks in England in March. The | :16:18. | :16:20.
32-year-old served with the Royal Irish Regiment. He was found dead at | :16:21. | :16:24.
Clive Barracks in Shropshire and another soldier in the regiment has | :16:25. | :16:30.
been charged with his murder. Corporal McNeill was given full | :16:31. | :16:33.
military honours during a service at Ballywillan Presbyterian Church near | :16:34. | :16:38.
Portrush. A County Antrim farmer has been sent | :16:39. | :16:43.
to jail for animal cruelty offences. It's the first time someone in | :16:44. | :16:46.
Northern Ireland has received a custodial sentence under new animal | :16:47. | :16:49.
welfare legislation which came into effect in 2011. Michael Agnew of | :16:50. | :16:55.
Ballynease Road near Portglenone was given a six month term for a range | :16:56. | :17:02.
of offences. You may find some of the pictures in this report | :17:03. | :17:12.
distressing. Michael Agnew was already banned | :17:13. | :17:17.
from keeping animals when officials find this horrific scene at his farm | :17:18. | :17:21.
near Port Glenlola - dead animals left in enclosure is with live ones. | :17:22. | :17:26.
Pigs and calves with no access to food or water. Some animals left | :17:27. | :17:31.
lane because they had been trampled in cramped, dark conditions. A | :17:32. | :17:35.
number had to be put down to prevent further suffering. The 43-year-old | :17:36. | :17:41.
farmer was convicted of 16 or fences and today appeared before Ballymena | :17:42. | :17:45.
magistrates. His defence team say this is not a case of wilful | :17:46. | :17:49.
mistreatment but rather one of management. The court was told his | :17:50. | :17:57.
intellectual ability meant he didn't fully understand his | :17:58. | :18:01.
disqualification order. The judge said Agnew had ignored previous | :18:02. | :18:05.
orders and had 115 previous convictions, some for animal welfare | :18:06. | :18:11.
or fences. He imposed a six month prison term and a fine of ?2000. | :18:12. | :18:17.
These were appalling offences. This is one of the worst cases I have | :18:18. | :18:21.
dealt with in my 15 years of enforcement. We are delighted with | :18:22. | :18:27.
the outcome. This is the first person who has gone on to prison | :18:28. | :18:36.
under this new law. The court also banned Agnew from keeping livestock | :18:37. | :18:40.
for ten years. There has been recent criticism from some quarters about | :18:41. | :18:44.
the sentences handed out to those convicted of animal cruelty or | :18:45. | :18:48.
fences. The decision to jail Michael Agnew today makes this a landmark | :18:49. | :18:52.
case. A lorry has crashed into the garden | :18:53. | :18:56.
of a house in Enniskillen. It happened this morning in the Tempo | :18:57. | :19:00.
Road area. The lorry had been parked on a steep slope opposite the house. | :19:01. | :19:05.
It crashed through a fence and down a six foot drop stopping just short | :19:06. | :19:09.
of a conservatory. The driver had tried to stop it but had to jump | :19:10. | :19:13.
clear before the crash. The owners of the house were shocked but not | :19:14. | :19:17.
hurt. The Green Party Northern Ireland has | :19:18. | :19:20.
launched its manifesto for the European and council elections at | :19:21. | :19:26.
the end of the month. Green Party policies include helping to build | :19:27. | :19:28.
better neighbourhoods, tackling waste and transport issues, | :19:29. | :19:31.
supporting the local economy and job creation through sustainable | :19:32. | :19:33.
strategies and protecting the most vulnerable by defending health and | :19:34. | :19:38.
social services. The Greens say they already have a strong voice in | :19:39. | :19:41.
Europe and voters here should move away from traditional voting to | :19:42. | :19:54.
embrace new cleaner, greener ideas. If people want change they need to | :19:55. | :19:58.
vote for it. We have voted for the same politicians over and over again | :19:59. | :20:01.
and we expect something different. If people want to vote for a | :20:02. | :20:04.
political party that is a broad family across Europe, where identity | :20:05. | :20:09.
politics is a nonissue for us because we represent all over | :20:10. | :20:13.
Europe, then go for something different and think about going with | :20:14. | :20:17.
the fourth biggest group in the European Parliament and the biggest | :20:18. | :20:20.
party in European Parliament. The Game of Thrones TV series, | :20:21. | :20:24.
filmed here, has been such a huge hit and has repaid the government | :20:25. | :20:27.
investment many times over in movie-making jobs. That success is | :20:28. | :20:30.
also filtering down to local spin off businesses. For the second in | :20:31. | :20:35.
our series on the entertainment economy, our arts correspondent, | :20:36. | :20:38.
Maggie Taggart has been talking to some tourism entrepreneurs and | :20:39. | :20:40.
visitors who are keen to recreate scenes they have viewed on | :20:41. | :20:50.
television. For the Cassidy family, now based in | :20:51. | :20:55.
Scotland, a trip home was the chance to learn a new skill spotted on Game | :20:56. | :21:00.
Of Thrones episodes in the many spot where many scenes were spot. The | :21:01. | :21:08.
arrow has got a pointy bit and a not so pointy bit. The pointed this -- | :21:09. | :21:14.
pointy bit should always face towards the bots. It has been | :21:15. | :21:20.
excellent. The family has enjoyed themselves. It's been great fun. | :21:21. | :21:28.
We've got a big age range. The youngest is 13 and my dad is 79 but | :21:29. | :21:35.
we thought, we can all do this. Clearsky operates out of Castleward | :21:36. | :21:41.
in County Down, which was transformed by HBO. The bookings are | :21:42. | :21:46.
coming in thick and fast. We have got coach trips coming in most days. | :21:47. | :21:51.
The numerous locations where the series has been filmed are sprinkled | :21:52. | :21:55.
across Northern Ireland, like this old quarry knew the Glens of Antrim. | :21:56. | :22:02.
They spent over ?1 million creating the castle. A number of bus | :22:03. | :22:06.
companies are taking customers on guided tours. These caves near | :22:07. | :22:10.
Cushing Don will resonate with fans, if some are sheepish about admission | :22:11. | :22:23.
it -- admitting it. -- Cushendun. You can see naturally how it is. | :22:24. | :22:28.
There are different water scenes with rocks and dark places that | :22:29. | :22:31.
stand out in my memory and this is one of them, so to walk on it and | :22:32. | :22:34.
recognise it immediately was exciting. The Dark Ages is a row of | :22:35. | :22:42.
trees near Ballycastle and now it is a photo opportunity. There has been | :22:43. | :22:52.
investment in buses to meet demand. We have been involved in the new | :22:53. | :22:56.
Dracula film in Northern Ireland so we could expand this into a movie | :22:57. | :23:00.
location tour, not just Game Of Thrones. There are other films like | :23:01. | :23:05.
The Line Of Duty TV show was said here as well. Ballin toy harbour is | :23:06. | :23:15.
easy to find and they have put up a poster to show how it is featured. | :23:16. | :23:21.
The fifth and sixth series are now confirmed and Northern Ireland will | :23:22. | :23:25.
be involved in number five at least with the support of Northern Ireland | :23:26. | :23:29.
Screen and invest NI. Next week we will find out about the | :23:30. | :23:34.
cartoon and special effects industries. | :23:35. | :23:38.
It has just been announced more than 2000 extra bike parking spaces are | :23:39. | :23:42.
being made available in Belfast next week for spectators watching the | :23:43. | :23:45.
Giro d'Italia cycle race. 1000 spaces will be at the Department | :23:46. | :23:50.
regional development in the city centre, where staff car park is | :23:51. | :23:58.
being converted into a bike park. It is not just the professional | :23:59. | :24:02.
cyclists who will be looked after when the Giro d'Italia comms, | :24:03. | :24:05.
everyone else want to wheels will be, too. We have over 2000 bike | :24:06. | :24:13.
parking spaces in Belfast city centre including 1000 in the DRG | :24:14. | :24:18.
headquarters. The Minister has closed the staff car park for a week | :24:19. | :24:22.
and converted it into bike parking. Come to Belfast, come see the event, | :24:23. | :24:27.
but use public transport or come by bike. Given the number of road | :24:28. | :24:31.
closures it is likely to be the easiest way to get around. If in | :24:32. | :24:36.
doubt, where pink. Everywhere else seems to be pegged at the moment. | :24:37. | :24:41.
The collar is really catching on. As for the riders, they begin arriving | :24:42. | :24:46.
in Belfast next week. The big race is only eight days away. It seems | :24:47. | :24:52.
everything is almost ready, including this new paddock area | :24:53. | :24:58.
beside Titanic slipways. More than 3000 tonnes of tarmac have been used | :24:59. | :25:03.
to ensure that when the cyclists arrive next week they have a smooth | :25:04. | :25:05.
start to their race. This time next week, jeered Italian | :25:06. | :25:16.
Fever will be up on us and hopefully the weather will be better than it | :25:17. | :25:22.
was this morning. -- Giro d'Italia fever. These sheep were captured in | :25:23. | :25:30.
a field near the giant 's Causeway today. We are going to keep the pink | :25:31. | :25:38.
theme between now and next weekend. Send them to the e-mail address or | :25:39. | :25:43.
tweak them. It has been a dismal day for the start of May, particularly | :25:44. | :25:48.
over North Antrim. Under the cloud, temperatures were not any higher | :25:49. | :25:53.
than six degrees. That is more typical of February. You were right | :25:54. | :25:56.
to say it felt like winter. Most of the rain has gone. It will stay dry | :25:57. | :26:02.
but it could get chilly weather cloud breaks, especially over County | :26:03. | :26:06.
Antrim. It could be low enough for frost on the grass. A chilly start | :26:07. | :26:11.
tomorrow and coldness in the air. It will be much drier and writer, | :26:12. | :26:15.
particularly across eastern counties. -- brighter. That is where | :26:16. | :26:21.
we will see the best sunshine. Cold if you're heading to work or school | :26:22. | :26:27.
tomorrow morning. No real frost around and it should not be misty | :26:28. | :26:32.
and at least it is dry. You will not need the windscreen wipers or get | :26:33. | :26:38.
splashed by car is. -- cars. Tomorrow, a small chance of rain but | :26:39. | :26:42.
the breezes in the south-east. That will keep it cool towards the east | :26:43. | :26:45.
coast. Temperatures getting back to what they should be for the time of | :26:46. | :26:50.
year. There is rain sitting behind me. It will be slowly coming towards | :26:51. | :26:57.
us from the Atlantic. It is tied up to a couple of areas of low | :26:58. | :27:01.
pressure. Over the weekend it is a battle between the low pressure | :27:02. | :27:05.
coming towards us and the high pressure over Britain. Hopefully the | :27:06. | :27:08.
high will get rid of most of the rain but it will probably mean some | :27:09. | :27:11.
grisly weather for a time on Saturday before it turns drier and | :27:12. | :27:16.
warmer on Sunday. Our late summary is 10:25pm, where | :27:17. | :27:21.
we will have the latest on the detention of the Sinn president | :27:22. | :27:26.
Gerry Adams. We are on Facebook and Twitter. Thank you for watching. | :27:27. | :27:54.
An exceptional candidate with unparalleled experience. | :27:55. | :27:58. |
