Good evening, the headlines on BBC Newsline. | :00:14. | :00:15.
An internal row in NI21 threatens to split the party | :00:16. | :00:17.
close, to savour despise each other is too strong but there is a level | :00:18. | :00:32.
level hostility. | :00:33. | :00:36.
Local Muslims describe a Belfast pastor's remarks about the Islamic | :00:37. | :00:39.
Satanic spawned from hell! | :00:40. | :00:48.
Our reporter Andy West continues his series on living rough | :00:49. | :00:51.
Rory McIlroy reveals he has split with his fiancee Caroline Wozniacki. | :00:52. | :01:02.
After a lovely day today for the baton relay today, | :01:03. | :01:05.
They promised fresh politics and an end to the old tribal divisions. | :01:06. | :01:16.
But Northern Ireland's newest political party has found | :01:17. | :01:18.
itself embroiled in a row over old politics - hether or not to | :01:19. | :01:21.
The decision by NI21's executive to drop the unionist label has | :01:22. | :01:27.
infuriated the deputy leader John McCallister - who has branded | :01:28. | :01:29.
Our political correspondent Martina Purdy has this report. | :01:30. | :01:42.
Once inseparable at Stormont, they made common cause including the | :01:43. | :01:49.
Ulster Unionist party and setting up NI21. There was a problem. John | :01:50. | :01:55.
McCallister wants to keep the union voting designation and the leader | :01:56. | :02:01.
wanted to drop it. When the leader got his way, the deputy made his way | :02:02. | :02:05.
to the news letter branding it dysfunctional. I voted against. It | :02:06. | :02:12.
muddies the water unnecessarily. I don't think it's helpful. But the | :02:13. | :02:19.
parties Europa candidates and the leader said dropping the Unionist | :02:20. | :02:24.
label makes sense. The decisions taken consistent with what the aims | :02:25. | :02:29.
of the party were, we think they would dump the right reasons and I | :02:30. | :02:33.
am disappointed that things have happened in the way they have | :02:34. | :02:38.
happened. Members of NI21 joined the row social media. | :02:39. | :02:54.
This is a disaster, on the cusp of an election, 24 hours before when | :02:55. | :03:05.
the deputy leader is saying your party is dysfunctional and he | :03:06. | :03:09.
doesn't trust anyone. If you don't define that as a political disaster, | :03:10. | :03:16.
I have no idea how they would. It was June last year when NI21 | :03:17. | :03:21.
launched itself. Its first birthday is approaching and voters will | :03:22. | :03:24.
decide tomorrow if it is worth celebrating. | :03:25. | :03:28.
The PSNI say they're investigating a hate crime motive | :03:29. | :03:30.
after a pastor at the Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle | :03:31. | :03:32.
in north Belfast described the Islamic faith as heathen, satanic | :03:33. | :03:35.
A spokesman for the Belfast Islamic Centre has described | :03:36. | :03:39.
The Whitehall Tabernacle has regularly attracted hundreds of | :03:40. | :03:58.
people to its Sunday services. Many of them come to see this man. And | :03:59. | :04:03.
evangelical preacher, James McConnell. Last Sunday com he spoke | :04:04. | :04:09.
to them about the Islamic faith. Is lab is lab is Satanic. Islam is a | :04:10. | :04:19.
doctrine spawned in hell. The Belfast Islamic Centre has described | :04:20. | :04:25.
his remarks as irresponsible. It is worrying, especially if an educated | :04:26. | :04:29.
person listen to that message, they might do something against the law | :04:30. | :04:35.
and he should be answerable. If anyone is attacked or hurt, in | :04:36. | :04:39.
Northern Ireland, he would be responsible. Over the years, the | :04:40. | :04:43.
pastor has been forthright and outspoken. What he said here at the | :04:44. | :04:50.
Tabernacle on Sunday has caused quite a controversy after it | :04:51. | :04:53.
appeared on the church website. Today, he told me he stood over | :04:54. | :04:59.
every word. You do not see that as being hateful? No, it isn't hate | :05:00. | :05:06.
crime in any way. I am condemning what they believe in. What they | :05:07. | :05:11.
believe in is from Satan, what they believe in is the saving... There | :05:12. | :05:19.
are some good people in the Muslim community and I want to say to them | :05:20. | :05:25.
I don't trust them and I will tell you why. Even the good people? I | :05:26. | :05:30.
will tell you why because they are ruled by sharia law. While the pasta | :05:31. | :05:35.
is unrepentant, the police say they are aware of an incident on Sunday | :05:36. | :05:40.
and enquiries are continuing while I hate crime motives is investigated | :05:41. | :05:42.
-- Pastore. Now for the second | :05:43. | :05:45.
of our special undercover reports Last night our reporter Andy West | :05:46. | :05:47.
told us of his four nights sleeping rough in the city | :05:48. | :05:52.
and the reaction he got from members In tonight's report he looks | :05:53. | :05:55.
at the help available to those How difficult was it to stay | :05:56. | :06:10.
undercover? It was difficult, especially when dealing with | :06:11. | :06:13.
charities and volunteers who work so hard to make sure homeless people | :06:14. | :06:17.
are safe on the streets. I wanted to make certain that I wasn't taking | :06:18. | :06:21.
away any vital support or services from those who genuinely needed | :06:22. | :06:26.
them. I'm grateful to say the organisations I had contact with | :06:27. | :06:30.
while sleeping rough have given us their blessing to use the footage we | :06:31. | :06:34.
recorded and in this piece we will see I got access to some of the | :06:35. | :06:39.
places in Belfast that work to make sure homeless people have somewhere | :06:40. | :06:45.
safe to eat and sleep. Another day on the streets. At first, I could | :06:46. | :06:53.
rely on strangers thrown me a lifeline and at night good | :06:54. | :06:56.
Samaritans offering warm socks and food. It is amazing, thank you. A | :06:57. | :07:05.
thermal vest. Nice thick socks. They could do for gloves. By the third | :07:06. | :07:12.
day, feeling tired and hungry, I needed more help. I managed to find | :07:13. | :07:19.
the welcome Centre where you can get lunch and have a wash. I was taken | :07:20. | :07:25.
to an office by a volunteer, it turns out even rough sleepers have | :07:26. | :07:29.
to wait before they can class themselves as homeless. So, you are | :07:30. | :07:36.
sleeping rough. Yes. No hostel will take you. You need to think about | :07:37. | :07:44.
benefits. How long does it take? A week or two. Ivan have to sleep... | :07:45. | :07:51.
There is a night shelter. Is it safe? Nowhere is safe. There are | :07:52. | :07:59.
many homeless people. It is survival. Over a bowl of soup I got | :08:00. | :08:04.
talking to some of the other people using the centre. How long have you | :08:05. | :08:07.
been homeless? Back to the streets. The empty hours | :08:08. | :08:34.
dragged on and I admit I was feeling exhausted. And lonely. It is time to | :08:35. | :08:39.
find myself somewhere to sit for the day. That would be perfect apart | :08:40. | :08:47.
from the fact it stinks of your in. That could be good. It looks dry. | :08:48. | :08:56.
That is my view for the next few hours. It is kind of funny how | :08:57. | :09:04.
different the world looks from down here. Completely different view on | :09:05. | :09:10.
the world passing by. People almost all people do the same thing. They | :09:11. | :09:20.
look at you and instantly look away. After hours of sitting and being | :09:21. | :09:25.
ignored, I reached my lowest point. And then out of the blue and elderly | :09:26. | :09:35.
man offered me help. I am fine, thank you though. That was an | :09:36. | :09:40.
elderly man in a flat cap. The first person in three hours to properly | :09:41. | :09:50.
look me in the eye. After nightfall, I trudged over to centre Narita | :09:51. | :09:54.
house, night shelter. 18 men were waiting but there were only 13 beds. | :09:55. | :10:02.
Inside, we got a hot dinner while we hung around to see if we could get a | :10:03. | :10:07.
room. I was warned them at the fights or my dirty clothes might be | :10:08. | :10:10.
stolen but that isn't what I found. It was safe and friendly. I got | :10:11. | :10:17.
called into the office where they allocate the bed. There weren't | :10:18. | :10:21.
enough beds to go around and I wasn't going to take a bed away from | :10:22. | :10:25.
someone who genuinely genuinely needed it. So, now I have to find | :10:26. | :10:35.
someone that I will sleep. Four days on the streets was tough. I said as | :10:36. | :10:39.
much to a man in the night shelter, yes, sleeping rough is hard. I have | :10:40. | :10:51.
done it for 21 years. We saw the shortage of bed but what is the | :10:52. | :10:57.
overall support? Charities like the Salvation Army do | :10:58. | :11:03.
all they can to give as many beds to as many homeless people as they are | :11:04. | :11:08.
able with limited resources. Another charity are able to offer beds while | :11:09. | :11:14.
homeless people register. There are other charities working in Belfast, | :11:15. | :11:22.
shelter, crisis and anyone watching tonight who would like more | :11:23. | :11:27.
information on the issues around homelessness can call the BBC Action | :11:28. | :11:28.

Caroline Wozniacki. McIlroy was here playing in a pro-am tournament with | :12:11. | :12:17.
former footballers. Earlier, he revealed the news in a statement but | :12:18. | :12:22.
later faced questions about the break-up. This is what he had to | :12:23. | :12:30.

move on and I have said all I need to say. There is no good time to | :12:40. | :12:50.
sort of end a relationship. I will not lie, it will be very difficult. | :12:51. | :12:57.
I am no different from anyone else, everyone has been through break-ups | :12:58. | :13:02.
and it is always difficult. I am here to concentrate on the week and | :13:03. | :13:08.
answer questions about golf and that is what I will do. It is a tough | :13:09. | :13:13.
time for Rory McIlroy who has been with Caroline Wozniacki since 2011. | :13:14. | :13:18.

It is history, the first time they had been received here and this man | :23:38. | :23:43.
is like an marble pillar. Welcome. You have walked in with the | :23:44. | :23:49.

he is. There is plenty of media who want to talk to him but | :24:17. | :24:22.
he is. There is plenty of media who can finish on a high the same as | :24:23. | :24:27.
Ireland did in the six Nations. We had better bring in the mastermind, | :24:28. | :24:32.
the Ireland coach. Welcome to Stormont. Your impressions. Yes, | :24:33. | :24:40.
massively impressed coming in. The marble room is really impressive. | :24:41. | :24:47.
The sun is very warm. Looking down the avenue, it is absolutely... | :24:48. | :24:54.
The sun is very warm. Looking down is impressive. And it is great to be | :24:55. | :24:58.
up here. The tour is coming to South America, Paddy will not make it. | :24:59. | :25:05.
Disappointing? Yes, Billy disappointing for us. We have been | :25:06. | :25:11.
working with Paddy and he has been developing -- really disappointing. | :25:12. | :25:15.
At the same time, it is mostly disappointing for Paddy, he was very | :25:16. | :25:20.
keen to get on tour and he will be disappointed he can't. So, yes, I | :25:21. | :25:29.
sympathise. This is a piece of sporting history. Well, they talked | :25:30. | :25:36.
about sunshine but I heard a mention of rain earlier. It has been a | :25:37. | :25:44.
beautiful day today,, the conditions have been right for showers, we have | :25:45. | :25:51.
been watching. They didn't turn up, we got beautiful temperatures, highs | :25:52. | :25:55.
of 16 and 17. This is the radar picture. A few showers over Donegal | :25:56. | :26:03.
but not enough to ruin the Queen?s baton relay. This evening, there is | :26:04. | :26:14.
the risk of showers popping up. They will not last. Overnight tonight, | :26:15. | :26:20.
fading away, temperatures dropped down to around 8 degrees. Tomorrow, | :26:21. | :26:27.
it will be a different feel. A cooler day, cloudier with lots more | :26:28. | :26:32.
rain. It starts quite decently with spells of brightness in yearly part | :26:33. | :26:40.
of the day. But as we get into the afternoon, a low pressure system | :26:41. | :26:45.
works north and we start to feel the effects. Look at the temperatures. | :26:46. | :26:52.
Highs of 13 or 14 degrees. Well down on what we have seen and good deal | :26:53. | :26:59.
more rain around. Some of the bursts could be quite sharp. Especially on | :27:00. | :27:06.
the East Coast. Get caught and you will know about it. The showers | :27:07. | :27:11.
continue through the evening tomorrow, again, gradually fading | :27:12. | :27:12.
out, a cooler nights and a tomorrow, again, gradually fading | :27:13. | :27:18.
out, a cooler nights clearer skies, lows of 6 degrees. By Friday, more | :27:19. | :27:25.
of a damp and drizzly afternoon. Look at the trend for the | :27:26. | :27:28.
temperatures, they are on the way down. Highs of 11 or 12. The good | :27:29. | :27:34.
news is by the weekend, things start to recover. Things picking up. | :27:35. | :27:43.
Feeling dry and brighter. The bank holiday weekend, I think | :27:44. | :27:44. |
