The man and woman who died in last night's fatal road crash

in Newry were 67 year old Joan Connor from Drogheda

and 19 year old Niall Murphy who was originally from the Newry area.

A white flag the distressing to another fatal road crash in which

to Belfast road that the accident happened at around 5:30pm

yesterday. The 19-year-old driver of one of the vehicles died here at the

scene. The 67 euros woman who was a passenger in the other car guides in

young person and the lady, I'm sure they did not realise this would

happen to them. It is really serious and awful news.

The police are appealing for anyone who saw this crash to contact them.

killed on our roads to 5 cents Friday.

Earlier, the Army pay tribute to soldiers who died in a crash on

Friday night. Lance Corp David Welt and Dale Harris, both of the 2nd

Battalion, were based at these barracks in the spring. In a

statement, the army described the man as hugely competent soldiers and

-- US fast -- fantastic futures ahead of them.

Another man died in hospital following a crash on Wednesday. He

was originally from the and had been living in Portadown for several

years. These latest deaths bring to 48 number of people who have lost

their lives on the roads this year. 17 people, including twelve

children, have been treated in hospital for minor injuries

after a mini-train overturned They were taken to the

South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen following

the incident at Drumhoney Holiday The health and safety executive say

of Republicans have taken part in a hunger strike commemoration parade

in Derrylin in county Fermanagh. Twenty seven bands

along with their supporters paraded down the main street

of the village to attend the rally. Among those taking part was the

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams and deputy first

Minister Martin McGuinness. Local MP Michelle Gildernew said

the event wasn't intended to offend We understand that people may be

offended but there are, as I said, different narratives to the story. I

don't think people necessarily understand the narrative. I respect

their rights to have a different opinion.

Meanwhile in a statement this evening , the TUV

leader Jim Allister said the parade in Derrylin was never intended by

Sinn Fein to be anything other than a glorification of IRA terrorism

A petrol bomb has been thrown at a house in Fermanagh in the early

hours of this morning. There were no injuries. A device was thrown from a

car on Station Road just before half past three.

Following tonight's Commonwealth Games closing ceremony

in Glasgow, the Northern Ireland team will return home tomorrow with

a grand total of twelve medals, the second-biggest tally

Tonight's closing ceremony brings to announce the 11 days of competition.

It's been a very successful Commonwealth Games for Northern

Ireland. 12 medals in all with two gold, three silver and seven bronze.

The second biggest haul ever. Nine of those medals came from one

sports. After a memorable day for our boxers in Glasgow yesterday.

It was a night when Northern Ireland boxers lived -- lit up the

Commonwealth games. This was the moment which made all the hard work

worthwhile. Celebrating gold medal success

together. To fighters are close friends. Now they have another

common bonds. It has kicked in a bit now. It's a

great feeling, especially sharing it with Paddy because he came along

last time and I was the only medallist.

At the Olympics, I got bronze. The year before, I got silver. It's

great because we doing brilliantly. In the right corner, representing

Northern Ireland. Michael is just 22 years old but may decide to miss the

opportunity of fighting at the Olympics in Brazil in two years

time. My style is it to professional and

it's something I've always wanted to do. I will always do that, whether

it is now or later. Who knows. I could go to Rio and pick up a gold

medal, we're just getting better. But Barnes still has unfinished

business as an amateur. One of my main targets is to win a

gold medal at the Olympic Games. Hopefully, in the next two years, I

will improve any more and -- improve even more and hit that target. Here

it is, a gold medal. Paddy Barnes and the rest of team

and I will now sail back to Northern Ireland to a special homecoming. I
