A seven-year-old boy has died as result of a road accident

It happened on the Lattone Road at about 1pm this afternoon.

He was taken by ambulance under police escort

to the South West Acute Hospital, where he was pronounced dead

The main Garrison to Belcoo Road has been closed.

The police are investigating reports that a group of teenagers

It happened early this morning in the Polelgass area not far

from where Christopher Meale was beaten to death last week.

One of the teenagers, a 16-year-old, whom it's believed has disabilities,

has been treated for facial injuries including

It's understood they were attacked by a number of people who got out

He is very traumatised, obviously very traumatised and his family are

very worried. I think they are thankful. I just think they are

thankful that their son is sitting at home today and he was discharged

from hospital. He had some head injuries, a lot of facial injuries

and his nose was broken but he has obviously, toast. It is worrying for

could be lower in the countryside, potentially quite a chilly want by

some of us. Tomorrow we will eventually see brighter skies

returning, but it looks as though it will be a bit of a dismal start.

Some wet and windy the morning rush-hour, there

could be some surface water and spray on the roads. That band of

persistent rain, strong winds, moving west to east through the

morning rush hour. It won't last all day. I didn't morning, brighter

skies starting to push in from the west, and across the Republic of

the mountains, north-west England, Wales and the south-west, and

on the charts, a sign of the strong winds. Various weather systems

pushing through from time to time but I think those wet and windy

spells will come in darkness, through the day, bright spells and

showers and perhaps a bit chilly by Christmas Eve. That is it. Our next
