A seven-year-old boy has died as result of a road accident

It happened on the Lattone Road at about 1:00pm this afternoon.

He was taken by ambulance under police escort

to the South West Acute Hospital, where he was pronounced dead

The main Garrison to Belcoo Road has been closed.

The police are investigating reports that a group of teenagers

It happened early this morning in the Polelgass area not far

from where Christopher Meale was beaten to death last week.

One of the teenagers, a 16-year-old, whom it's believed has disabilities,

has been treated for facial injuries including

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has ended

a successful 2015 by winning Coach of the Year at the BBC

Sports Personality of the Year awards in Belfast.

Let's get a look at the forecast for the start of the Christmas week

Good evening. It was little bit today and that was accentuated by a

gusty wind and places. As we go to the rest of the of the week, the

winds are often going to be the feature. There is more rain showers

forecast and it won't be quite as much as we have been used to lately.

Today we had a few showers coming in on the breeze. A few of those for a

time to the best part overnight, particularly towards the north and

west but for many of us will die away. Temperatures and towns dipping

to five or 6 degrees but rural spots could be a little bit lower support

a chilly night in places. Towards the west the change on the way. It

will eventually brighten up tomorrow but first thing in the morning it is

going to bring us a wet and windy start so bear that in mind. Through

the morning rush-hour there could be surface water to content was on the

roads. That band of persistence frameworks its way eastwards through

the morning, along with those brisk winds and eventually we'll see

something brighter tucking in behind it later in the morning. As we will

cross the Republic of Ireland as that rain moves away. The wet and

windy weather extended to Scotland and Stansted the snow over the

mountains. Into north-west England, Wales and into the south-west. Later

in the date creeps towards the south-east. Temperatures still not

bad here. And they have that blustery wind. It is still going to

be quite gusty for Northern Ireland, the afternoon at a much cheerier

picture with some sunshine and a lot of dry weather. Temperatures around

nine or 10 degrees. Pretty similar to today and we have that gusty wind

making it feel quite cool. As we go through the rest of the week plenty

of highs of bars still on the charts so the winds are going to be a

feature and we were various weather fronts running through as well. We

will find these wet and windy spells come along at night time so we get

the first of those coming through tomorrow night and then sinks is way

southwards and England and Wales during Tuesday, brightening up with

showers behind towards the north-west. On Wednesday it is

generally a bright, breezy day for many. The showers mainly confined to

the north-west in Scotland. Another weather system for Wednesday night

once pushes through and it could be chilly on Christmas Eve.
