An elderly couple in North Belfast may have to leave their home

after a fire was started in a neighbouring property.

The blaze was reported around 7:30 this morning

at the unoccupied semidetached house on Wolfhill Link.

Derelict for over a decade, this house has now been destroyed by

fire. But the attached property is home to an elderly couple. This

morning there are waves were only saved because they heard noise from

a group of youths who had broken in next door. -- in their lives were on

the saved. The man, who is disabled, and his wife, then saw the smoke and

got out of their house. Neither were injured, but their home is

devastated. She is very kind and caring, and just completely

heartbroken. All their memories were in that house. It was something they

built together, and they may have two move out now. Relatives and

friends came to offers aborted the couple as around 20 firefighters

worked to bring the blaze under control. We would normally like to

fight a fire like this without having to commit our crews. We did

not have access on this occasion. I would like everybody to realise that

derelict premises... Relatives say their lives have been blighted by

anti-social behaviour for years. This morning a fire started by

youths has now forced these pensioners to consider leaving the

place they have called home for 30 years. Police are treating the fire

is awesome. -- as arson. A teenage girl is in a critical

condition after being injured It happened on the Monaghan Road,

which is closed between Umgola Road The girl was airlifted to the Royal

Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Police have named the woman

who was killed in an accident She was 80-year-old

Maureen Buchanan. She was a back seat passenger

in a car which was involved in a six vehicle collision on the motorway

near Cornakinnegar Bridge, Two people had been arrested in

connection with the discovery of drugs in Belfast. A man was detained

after a car crash. Later police found O'Kane worth ?60,000 in a

follow-up search. -- found cocaine. Was arrested. -- E woman was

arrested. Golf, and Rory McIlroy is poised

in second place at the US Masters. He and leader Jordan Spieth will be

back on the course at Augusta just Stephen Watson is there

Northern Ireland's first vegan festival was held in Belfast today.

Organisers say they were overwhelmed by demand, and expect the festival

We'll do it next year in a much bigger venue. This is a phenomenal

venue, they have been really kind to us, but it is not big enough for the

demand for people that to to the festival.

Some lovely sunshine today, but also some heavy showers. The frost will

be back tonight. Quite significant for the time of year. A lovely day

to come tomorrow. A chilly breeze, especially towards the east coast.

Still some showers arrived at the moment, some with a wintry flavour.

They will ease away quite quickly, leaving dry, clear whether the

night. Temperatures possibly as low as -34 minus four Celsius. A frosty

start on Sunday, maybe Acie badges, some fog. Was of some cheddar,

though breezy at times. Maybe one or two early showers, but otherwise a

fine, sunny morning. Frost and ice quickly melting. Still an area of

rain a lingering across the north of Scotland. Some wet weather across

southern counties of Ireland, strong winds, which also affect south-west

England. For many parts of the UK and Ireland a fine day. The best of

the sunshine across Central parts of Britain and Northern Ireland. It

should feel that bit warmer than it did today, especially in the west. A

bit cooler towards the east coast and in Belfast with that easterly

breeze. It will be fine on Sunday evening. Later in the night cloud

increasing from the south, bringing showery rain. I breezy on Sunday

night as well, so not as cold, and it will stay Wendy on Monday with

that went. Some rain at times, most persistent in the east, trying up in

many places from the north of the day goes on. For the rest of the

week it will continue to be unsettled. Not as cold as it has

been. Still some easterly winds which means the best of the weather
