That's all from the BBC News at Six, so it's goodbye from me, | :00:00. | :00:15.
Why one of our newest tourist attractions has been closed | :00:16. | :00:19.
for almost half of its first year in business. | :00:20. | :00:23.
The pilot scheme aimed at reducing the number of patients | :00:24. | :00:25.
18 months after she was suspended, the chief executive | :00:26. | :00:32.
of Sport NI says she's still waiting for a formal explanation. | :00:33. | :00:36.
The row over a proposed new shooting range | :00:37. | :00:39.
You are going to 12 firing simultaneously, the potential for | :00:40. | :00:52.
maybe 600 rounds to be fired off over a ten minute period. | :00:53. | :00:56.
giving our local tourism industry a boost? | :00:57. | :01:01.
And Olympic shock as another of Northern Ireland's big medal | :01:02. | :01:08.
hopefuls makes an early exit from the games. Join me for all the | :01:09. | :01:11.
latest from Rio. Grey, damp and breezy | :01:12. | :01:12.
for the rest of the week. Figures show one of Northern | :01:13. | :01:19.
Ireland's newest tourist attractions has been closed for virtually half | :01:20. | :01:25.
of its first year in business. The Gobbins - a ?7.5 | :01:26. | :01:27.
million coastal walk in East Antrim - is currently | :01:28. | :01:29.
missing out at peak season because Here's our business | :01:30. | :01:33.
correspondent, Julian O'Neill. The Gobbins cliff path | :01:34. | :01:40.
is breathtaking, It's currently enduring | :01:41. | :01:41.
its second shutdown. This one began in June | :01:42. | :01:47.
because of rock falls. The discovery centre | :01:48. | :01:52.
at its Islandmagee base is open, but the main | :01:53. | :01:58.
attraction is off-limits as the first anniversary of | :01:59. | :02:00.
its expensive revamp approaches. Two days the 160th day of lost | :02:01. | :02:13.
business this year. Financial projections have been ripped up. On | :02:14. | :02:18.
top of thousands of an sold tickets, there are the unspecified costs of | :02:19. | :02:19.
remedial works. This closure, and one | :02:20. | :02:24.
caused by storm damage have put a big dent | :02:25. | :02:30.
in visitor numbers. The goal is to draw | :02:31. | :02:33.
70,000 people annually. But year one will fall short | :02:34. | :02:35.
at just under 24,000. Clearly it has been disappointing. I | :02:36. | :02:43.
would expect no one expected this at the outset. The important thing is | :02:44. | :02:47.
we deal with the issues at hand once and for all. The number of visitors | :02:48. | :02:51.
that have gone through all the days we have been up and have been quite | :02:52. | :02:57.
impressive. -- on the days we have been open. | :02:58. | :02:58.
The scale of the problem is unclear, but there has been no quick | :02:59. | :03:01.
fix and no end to tourists turning up to be turned away. | :03:02. | :03:04.
We didn't know that it was close, and we were very disappointed, and | :03:05. | :03:13.
we wanted to do that. Before coming, we prepare our travel, and we wanted | :03:14. | :03:15.
to go here, so... Mid and East Antrim Council | :03:16. | :03:20.
operates the Gobbins, but one of the area's MLAs wonders | :03:21. | :03:21.
whether it's up to the job. Is this project too big for the | :03:22. | :03:34.
council to run? Should we be looking outside of the box here to give it | :03:35. | :03:39.
to somebody who can really run it, promote it and expand it? | :03:40. | :03:43.
Initially the council said this current closure | :03:44. | :03:45.
But it now spans three months, with each lost day equalling | :03:46. | :03:48.
A pipe bomb has been made safe after a security | :03:49. | :03:59.
Army technical experts were called to examine what police | :04:00. | :04:04.
described as a viable device, which was found in | :04:05. | :04:06.
A number of families had to be moved from their homes during the alert, | :04:07. | :04:10.
which began at around seven o'clock this morning. | :04:11. | :04:12.
The bomb has been taken away for forensic examination. | :04:13. | :04:17.
A 42-year-old man is still being questioned | :04:18. | :04:19.
about the murder of a prominent member of the UDA in north Belfast | :04:20. | :04:22.
John Boreland, a 46-year-old father of three, | :04:23. | :04:26.
died after being shot close to his home in Sunningdale Gardens | :04:27. | :04:30.
Detectives say tensions among loyalist paramilitaries | :04:31. | :04:34.
and criminality are among their lines of inquiry. | :04:35. | :04:39.
A new system for making appointments with a GP is being trialled | :04:40. | :04:44.
It sees patients being offered an assessment over | :04:45. | :04:47.
the phone and then advised whether they actually need to come | :04:48. | :04:49.
Our health correspondent Marie-Louise Connolly has been | :04:50. | :04:52.
to see how it's working for a surgery in Londonderry. | :04:53. | :05:04.
First thing this morning, and the receptionist start fielding calls | :05:05. | :05:11.
from patients looking to see a GP. There is no need to give me any | :05:12. | :05:16.
symptoms. In name and number is taken and a brief reason why the | :05:17. | :05:21.
patient wanted to see a doctor. After a telephone assessment, they | :05:22. | :05:27.
will decide whether the patient needs to come in or perhaps advise | :05:28. | :05:30.
that a visit to the local pharmacy will do instead. Another difference | :05:31. | :05:37.
is that patients cannot work point once -- big appointments in advance. | :05:38. | :05:40.
It is all about what is happening on the day. Before it was very busy, | :05:41. | :05:47.
three or four weeks wait to see a doctor and possibly longer for a | :05:48. | :05:52.
named doctor. Patients were not turning up. Life is busy still, but | :05:53. | :05:58.
manageably busy. Like many surgeries, Abbey medical simply does | :05:59. | :06:04.
not have enough GPs to meet growing demand. According to the British | :06:05. | :06:07.
Medical Association, the shortage is now critical. We have asked for the | :06:08. | :06:12.
department to implement its own review, which said there should be | :06:13. | :06:19.
111 GPs trained area. If we trained as many as Scotland we will be | :06:20. | :06:24.
training 143. So we should be training more GPs. But what about | :06:25. | :06:29.
patients? ID being denied that sometimes crucial face-to-face | :06:30. | :06:33.
contact with the GP? -- RNA being denied? What I need from Abbey | :06:34. | :06:40.
Medical I am still getting. They talked me through what was wrong. | :06:41. | :06:48.
And here I am having my appointment. Says 2014, hundreds of millions of | :06:49. | :06:52.
pounds has been invested in general practice here, but the BMA says it | :06:53. | :06:56.
is not enough. The introduction of this new appointment system | :06:57. | :07:00.
highlights two things. Firstly to a growing number of practices across | :07:01. | :07:02.
Northern Ireland are having to cope with fewer GPs. But it also shows | :07:03. | :07:08.
how the public and the health service can change and adapt when | :07:09. | :07:12.
under pressure. Something we are probably going to see a lot more of. | :07:13. | :07:18.
The chief executive of Sport NI, Antoinette McKeown, says she's | :07:19. | :07:20.
still waiting for a formal explanation for her | :07:21. | :07:22.
It's almost a year and a half since she was suspended. | :07:23. | :07:28.
She's been speaking to our reporter, Mark Sidebottom. | :07:29. | :07:30.
Mark, just remind us of the background to this | :07:31. | :07:32.
Sport NI is the body responsible for the development of sport here. In | :07:33. | :07:47.
early 2013, Antoinette McKeown became its chief Executive, | :07:48. | :07:50.
incidentally the first woman to lead the organisation. In the summer of | :07:51. | :07:56.
2015, she was suspended for we believe a series of grievances | :07:57. | :08:01.
lodged both by her and against her. And why has she decided to speak out | :08:02. | :08:07.
no? An effect, she is saying she has nothing to hide. She is saying to | :08:08. | :08:11.
Sport NI, picked up or shut up. Antoinette McKeown preferred not to | :08:12. | :08:15.
record a broadcast interview, but she was very candid with what she | :08:16. | :08:20.
said and it makes interesting reading. Here is the bones of that. | :08:21. | :08:29.
She said she respects the vast majority of staff and looks forward | :08:30. | :08:35.
to working with them again. She adds, I was brought in to do a | :08:36. | :08:39.
difficult task, to lead change in Sport NI, and that is a task which I | :08:40. | :08:45.
began and intend seeing through. Is she still being paid for doing the | :08:46. | :08:51.
job? Interesting question. When advertised, the salary bracket was | :08:52. | :08:55.
75,000 to ?80,000. Sport NI will neither confirm or deny if | :08:56. | :09:00.
Antoinette McKeown is suspended on full salary, but it is my clear | :09:01. | :09:05.
understanding that she has suspended on full pay. Again Sport NI would | :09:06. | :09:09.
not comment on any of the specifics surrounding this case. The only | :09:10. | :09:12.
thing they would say was that we cannot confirm that Antoinette | :09:13. | :09:18.
McKeown remains in post. And justifiably and briefly, the | :09:19. | :09:22.
Stormont department responsible for Sport NI had anything to say about | :09:23. | :09:28.
this latest development? That is the Department for communities, assured | :09:29. | :09:35.
up by Mark Gibbon. The key line in his statement reads, the issue in | :09:36. | :09:41.
the position of chief Executive is a matter for Sport NI as the employer. | :09:42. | :09:46.
So they are saying, sort this out yourselves, and if there is not a | :09:47. | :09:49.
resolution soon, I suspect this could end up in the courts. It is | :09:50. | :09:51.
all very messy. Around 300 people | :09:52. | :09:54.
are objecting to plans for an outdoor shooting | :09:55. | :09:55.
range in Bangor. A local gun club, which already uses | :09:56. | :09:58.
indoor premises in the town, has applied for permission | :09:59. | :10:02.
for another site which is close This is as tranquil and quiet as can | :10:03. | :10:22.
be for a semirural area. But that could all change. The local gum club | :10:23. | :10:29.
has its sights on this land. -- the local gun club. | :10:30. | :10:30.
The applicant has asked for permission for an outdoor | :10:31. | :10:32.
shooting range with a club house, firing shelter, and a car park. | :10:33. | :10:35.
You are going to have 12 shooters firing simultaneously, the potential | :10:36. | :10:42.
for 600 rounds to be fired over a five or ten minute period. That will | :10:43. | :10:46.
have a major impact in the tranquillity of this area. | :10:47. | :10:47.
Objections have been flooding in since the proposals | :10:48. | :10:51.
The planning service, I understand, as of yesterday have received over | :10:52. | :11:00.
250 written applications. I have a file here with another 50 from | :11:01. | :11:05.
elderly people in this area. I have never seen a planning application | :11:06. | :11:13.
attract so many applications in such a short period of time. | :11:14. | :11:15.
That's Groomsport, with two schools within sight. | :11:16. | :11:16.
This house overlooks the proposed site. | :11:17. | :11:18.
No stoppage of sound well actually stop us from hearing very loud | :11:19. | :11:30.
banging and explosive type sounds. Like being on a Hollywood movie set? | :11:31. | :11:35.
Something like that, maybe. A horrible thought. Some people will | :11:36. | :11:41.
say, it has to be somewhere, so why not here? It is just ridiculous. | :11:42. | :11:47.
People live here, the walk year, children play. This is simply the | :11:48. | :11:53.
wrong location. In a statement, the gun club | :11:54. | :11:58.
which has applied for they're committed to working | :11:59. | :12:00.
with the local community to ensure all reasoned and valid | :12:01. | :12:03.
objections are satisfied. The club want to assure the local | :12:04. | :12:05.
community they will be a good neighbour at all times | :12:06. | :12:08.
whether the application It'll be a while yet before | :12:09. | :12:10.
any decision is made. Almost ?30 million is to be | :12:11. | :12:17.
spent on sprucing up The latest stage of the Streets | :12:18. | :12:20.
Ahead scheme will cover an area from the CastleCourt shopping | :12:21. | :12:24.
centre, along Royal Avenue and up to the Ulster University | :12:25. | :12:27.
campus on York Street. It will involve new paving, | :12:28. | :12:29.
trees and lighting. And as our economics | :12:30. | :12:32.
and business editor John Campbell reports, | :12:33. | :12:34.
it will also mean the relocation This slightly scruffy park | :12:35. | :12:36.
between St Anne's Cathedral and the university is at | :12:37. | :12:43.
the heart of this scheme. It will be made greener, | :12:44. | :12:46.
cleaner and more welcoming. And these buoys, which have been | :12:47. | :12:53.
here since the 1980s, will be moved. They're heading across the river | :12:54. | :12:56.
to Titanic Quarter. So the name of this place | :12:57. | :13:00.
will change from Buoy Park This businessman has | :13:01. | :13:02.
just opened a new shop opposite the gardens, | :13:03. | :13:06.
so he's quite pleased. It is a real up and coming area of | :13:07. | :13:15.
the city that has been neglected for a long period of time, and I think | :13:16. | :13:19.
it is a long overdue, so we welcome the fact that there is money being | :13:20. | :13:20.
invested in this part of the city. There will also be | :13:21. | :13:22.
a new public space - this bit of road between the Central | :13:23. | :13:24.
Library and the Belfast Telegraph will be pedestrianised, | :13:25. | :13:27.
to become Library Square. The first stage of the Street Aheads | :13:28. | :13:30.
project, which was completed almost five years ago, | :13:31. | :13:33.
caused significant disruption So what can traders | :13:34. | :13:35.
and residents expect this time? A project of this scale, there will | :13:36. | :13:46.
always be some disruption, and I know people understand that, because | :13:47. | :13:50.
ultimately at the end of the process to get something significant | :13:51. | :13:53.
benefit. But there were lessons learned from phase one. | :13:54. | :13:55.
This scheme will be another boost to a long-neglected area | :13:56. | :13:57.
which is now coming back to life, mainly because of | :13:58. | :13:59.
The transformation should begin in the middle of next year. | :14:00. | :14:04.
There's some evidence that the weakness of the pound | :14:05. | :14:07.
following the Brexit vote may be playing a part in boosting | :14:08. | :14:09.
Traders in Portrush say there's been a noticeable boost to | :14:10. | :14:16.
Our north east reporter Sara Girvin has been | :14:17. | :14:19.
Its coastline made it legal to choice for family holidays for | :14:20. | :14:32.
decades. But in recent years, Portrush, like many other seaside | :14:33. | :14:37.
towns, has struggled. Cheap flights abroad and the recession meant it | :14:38. | :14:41.
had to reinvent itself from its 1950s heyday. The traders say that | :14:42. | :14:47.
reinvention seems to be doing the trick. What I hear from the | :14:48. | :14:52.
businesses, businesses up five to 10% across the board. Certainly the | :14:53. | :14:56.
restaurants have been busy. The weather may not have been kind, but | :14:57. | :15:00.
something that does the business is better. If the weather is too good, | :15:01. | :15:04.
it keeps people on the Bee Gees and they do not spend money in the town. | :15:05. | :15:09.
Businesses will tell you they like a sunny morning and a drizzly | :15:10. | :15:13.
afternoon, because it drives people into the bars and restaurants. -- if | :15:14. | :15:16.
the weather is too good, it keeps people on the bitches. -- the | :15:17. | :15:21.
cheese. We have noticed more customers from | :15:22. | :15:33.
the Republic of Ireland, so that helps. The Republic is used for | :15:34. | :15:41.
seasons in one day, so luckily froth they will eat ice cream the weather. | :15:42. | :15:48.
The traditional businesses are still there, but now there are neighbours | :15:49. | :15:52.
are a trendy restaurants and bars. Portrush may not have completely | :15:53. | :15:55.
shaken off its traditional image, but those who visit don't seem to | :15:56. | :15:59.
mind. It still is a bucket and spade place. You just have to have your | :16:00. | :16:04.
bucket and spade in Portrush. Some of my fondest memories year as a | :16:05. | :16:10.
child, we had a caravan, and we come back as adults now. It has a lovely | :16:11. | :16:15.
feel, a seaside town, and the beaches are second to none. | :16:16. | :16:23.
Businesses hope the mixture of nostalgia and new attractions will | :16:24. | :16:26.
keep the next generation coming to Portrush for many years to come. It | :16:27. | :16:31.
has been a better buy Grey and windy day here in Portrush, but it seems | :16:32. | :16:38.
that, rain or shine, holiday-makers will always have a soft spot for | :16:39. | :16:43.
this part of the north coast. -- a bit of a grey and windy day. | :16:44. | :16:45.
Now, are you having problems staying on top of the growth | :16:46. | :16:48.
Well, spare a thought for the conservationists managing | :16:49. | :16:51.
one of our most important nature reserves, where an invasive | :16:52. | :16:54.
plant needs constant work to keep it in check. | :16:55. | :16:56.
Our agriculture and environment correspondent Conor Macauley | :16:57. | :16:58.
went to Murlough on the County Down coast to find out more. | :16:59. | :17:02.
700 acres of nature reserve at the foot of the Mournes, | :17:03. | :17:09.
and when you've a weed problem, it takes a team | :17:10. | :17:11.
They're rolling bracken, a plant that if left untreated | :17:12. | :17:20.
would take over swathes of the Murlough Nature | :17:21. | :17:22.
They'll do this twice a year to limit its spread and allow | :17:23. | :17:29.
What tends to happen is that Bracken gets quite invasive, gets dense, and | :17:30. | :17:45.
then nothing can grow underneath it. The bridges is a monoculture, and | :17:46. | :17:50.
then we lose the understory, which we are interested in. | :17:51. | :17:53.
What Patrick means by understory, is stuff like this, | :17:54. | :17:55.
plants that Murlough's 700 species of moth and 23 species of butterfly | :17:56. | :18:00.
They hope to get this Bracken infest the ground to something more like | :18:01. | :18:11.
this, with lots of header and well flowers in which attract the many | :18:12. | :18:16.
species of more than butterfly for which this reserve is very | :18:17. | :18:17.
well-known. The team ahead of the tractor | :18:18. | :18:18.
are looking for nesting birds and pointing out any drops | :18:19. | :18:21.
to the driver. This is tricky work, | :18:22. | :18:24.
but there is a potential Taking out the bracken can | :18:25. | :18:26.
makes the land eligible But mostly it's about management | :18:27. | :18:32.
of this 6000-year-old dune system, one of the most important | :18:33. | :18:35.
such sites in the UK. And as well as horsepower, | :18:36. | :18:41.
the wardens use horses as part The ten Exmoor ponies they graze | :18:42. | :18:44.
here help trample the bracken, though they can't cover quite | :18:45. | :18:49.
as much ground in a short time. It was built 600 years | :18:50. | :18:59.
ago to keep people out, but now, after a ?3.5 million | :19:00. | :19:01.
refurbishment, Enniskillen Castle Inside there are new galleries | :19:02. | :19:04.
paying homage to the rich history of County Fermanagh | :19:05. | :19:11.
and its lakelands, It has taken just over a year | :19:12. | :19:13.
of hard work and ?3.5 million to transform Enniskillen Castle | :19:14. | :19:21.
into a brand-new space for the town. Inside the building | :19:22. | :19:26.
is living history and art, like this shop, donated, | :19:27. | :19:30.
like many of the artefacts here. It has all the things in it that | :19:31. | :19:35.
were so beautifully made in the old days that | :19:36. | :19:47.
are all plastic now. Although they're not worth anything | :19:48. | :19:49.
financially, they are worth The Owens family also donated | :19:50. | :19:51.
a Bronze Age short which was found We were anxious that it | :19:52. | :19:56.
was left to the museum so that the visitors | :19:57. | :20:00.
coming to this beautiful renovated museum | :20:01. | :20:08.
can appreciate that and appreciate the | :20:09. | :20:09.
history of Fermanagh. The history that is the army and | :20:10. | :20:16.
that surrounds the Army area. County Fermanagh past and present | :20:17. | :20:21.
are certainly among the main features of the exhibitions on show | :20:22. | :20:24.
in the new buildings. It has transformed the castle | :20:25. | :20:26.
and what we can do. You have wonderful views | :20:27. | :20:30.
of the waterways, where the castle is here coming to the time, | :20:31. | :20:34.
across the site and we can share many more of our collections, some | :20:35. | :20:37.
of which have not been seen before. And again, highlighting people's | :20:38. | :20:46.
histories, the objects they have The new spaces and galleries which | :20:47. | :21:03.
complement what is already here at Enniskillen Castle will be open to | :21:04. | :21:04.
the public later this month. Sport now, and there's been another | :21:05. | :21:09.
shock for one of our medal Unfortunately so. Welcome to this | :21:10. | :21:20.
impressive venue right in the middle of Rio, not far from the famous | :21:21. | :21:33.
Copacabana beach. Peter Chambers and the other auroras all got a medal at | :21:34. | :21:39.
the London Olympics. But unfortunately one of our rowers | :21:40. | :21:43.
racing 14 GB has made an early exit today. | :21:44. | :21:47.
At the end of the race, exhaustion and disappointment. Peter Chambers's | :21:48. | :21:54.
Olympics was over. His crew were strongly tipped to repeat the | :21:55. | :21:59.
success of London 2012. Great Britain have to wake up, we are in | :22:00. | :22:03.
danger of going out. They needed to finish in the top three. That is so | :22:04. | :22:08.
disappointing, because there was a moment they could have turned, but | :22:09. | :22:12.
they did not do that. They could only manage fourth, and were knocked | :22:13. | :22:17.
out. I think we did everything we could. We just could not hang on to | :22:18. | :22:23.
that second or third place when the pace was getting too hot. That is | :22:24. | :22:28.
what we signed up for. Olympic racing is not easy, and it is | :22:29. | :22:34.
obviously hard to take. You cannot take it for granted that you will do | :22:35. | :22:38.
well. You have to do everything right throughout the four years. | :22:39. | :22:47.
Early on a beautiful morning in Rio, Alan Campbell was poised for action. | :22:48. | :22:53.
He was trying to make the finals, and he cruised home in a comfortable | :22:54. | :22:58.
second. What I have really got to do is put everything into the Saudi | :22:59. | :23:05.
final, and -- the semifinal, and the draw is a tough draw, it is fair by | :23:06. | :23:09.
all means, but I think there will be a lot of people bringing out their | :23:10. | :23:13.
big race for the semifinal just to make sure they get themselves in | :23:14. | :23:17.
that race for the medals. If I can get into the race for the medals, we | :23:18. | :23:23.
will discuss at them. Are you ready? I'm ready. Sol Campbell is on the | :23:24. | :23:33.
hunt for a medal, but it is another four-year wait for Peter Chambers. | :23:34. | :23:36.
We will be here tomorrow to see how his brother Richard chamber gets on. | :23:37. | :23:43.
Team Ireland's hockey players have been in action today. | :23:44. | :23:46.
After two losses so far, it didn't get any easier today - | :23:47. | :23:49.
they were taking on Germany, the reigning Olympic Champions. | :23:50. | :23:51.
Among the fans cheering on the first Ireland team to reach an Olympics in | :23:52. | :24:01.
over a century by the family of Michael Watt. It has been wonderful. | :24:02. | :24:06.
This has been a journey for Michael that has lasted from about 16 years | :24:07. | :24:11.
of age, he has talked about the Olympic Games, and now all of a | :24:12. | :24:15.
sudden he is here. It is just absolutely wonderful. Today was a | :24:16. | :24:19.
tough ask for what and team-mates and the German champions took an | :24:20. | :24:25.
early lead. But Ireland scored a great equaliser. What a score from | :24:26. | :24:29.
Eugene McGee! Michael Germany then reasserted control. But | :24:30. | :24:43.
all is not quite lost. Ireland know they must win their two remaining | :24:44. | :24:47.
games to have a chance of making the quarterfinals. | :24:48. | :24:53.
Ireland going down 3-2 in a battling display. They will continue to fight | :24:54. | :24:55.
for that quarterfinal place. The eventing competition | :24:56. | :24:56.
is drawing to a close tonight, although the prospects of medals | :24:57. | :24:59.
for Team Ireland are remote in either the individual or team | :25:00. | :25:01.
event at this stage. Clear habit from Hillsborough signed | :25:02. | :25:06.
off in style. The Hillsborough rider, | :25:07. | :25:13.
on Euro Prince, went clear with no penalties, getting a big cheer | :25:14. | :25:16.
from the arena for a faultless jump. That completes | :25:17. | :25:19.
her participation at this, She finished in 36th place overall | :25:20. | :25:20.
out of the 64 competing riders. Ireland finished in eighth | :25:21. | :25:27.
place in the team event. A special moment for her today. That | :25:28. | :25:37.
is all from Rio. I will be back with our late bulletin and tomorrow. We | :25:38. | :25:42.
are hoping for some better fortune for the Northern Ireland Olympians. | :25:43. | :25:50.
Hoping for better news on the weather front as well. | :25:51. | :25:54.
I am afraid it is going to be grey and dull with some rain around. The | :25:55. | :26:07.
breeze will be a feature as well. But tomorrow is all about the rain. | :26:08. | :26:11.
We will be waking up to it. All because of this area of high | :26:12. | :26:14.
pressure, gradually sinking away and opening the door to these weather | :26:15. | :26:21.
systems. On Thursday breeze heading in our direction. And, Friday, more | :26:22. | :26:27.
rain to dampen things down. Altogether not a terribly pretty | :26:28. | :26:31.
picture. The change starts tonight. Reasonably dry to begin with two | :26:32. | :26:35.
this evening, but not long for the skies to cloud over, and then rain | :26:36. | :26:38.
moving in from the west overnight. The one upside is all that extra | :26:39. | :26:42.
cloud cover these temperatures tonight will be a bit milder than of | :26:43. | :26:47.
late. But tomorrow will be a different feeling day. Dull and | :26:48. | :26:51.
grey, and the rain we are waking up to well set with us pretty much | :26:52. | :26:56.
throughout the day. There is a bit of a north-westerly breeze, and that | :26:57. | :26:59.
will hold down the temperatures. There is plenty of cloud cover as | :27:00. | :27:03.
well. That will hold down the temperature is as well, so 15 or 16 | :27:04. | :27:08.
is really as good as it will get. Then there is all that rain as well. | :27:09. | :27:13.
So I'm afraid it is not what we would hope for by this time of year, | :27:14. | :27:16.
and certainly not what we would expect in terms of cabbage is for | :27:17. | :27:19.
the middle of August. It will eventually clear out to the east for | :27:20. | :27:29.
the breeze will pick up with it as well. There will be showers, zooming | :27:30. | :27:34.
through, but as the breeze comes out of the south-west, the temperatures | :27:35. | :27:38.
will start to recover a bit, and that is a theme through this week. I | :27:39. | :27:42.
can promise things a little warmer for next week. | :27:43. | :27:46.
A bit of good news. Thank you very much indeed. | :27:47. | :27:48. |
