The Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding

the death of man who's believed to have been shot in Lisburn.

His body was discovered in a car off the Low Road this afternoon.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Martin Cassidy has been to the scene.

The focus of the investigation is around a terraced house and car in

what local people say is a quiet residential area. Police say they

responded to reports of an incident here in Lisburn at 4:20pm. When they

arrived, they discovered a body in a car. They say a 44-year-old man has

been arrested on suspicion of murder. Bred it is a quiet area. It

is a mixed community and the normal isn't any issues here. I was quite

shocked when I heard the reports coming in. Why the investigation is

still in its early stages, police don't believe any there's

paramilitary involvement in the incident. Bred looks like there's

been an unfortunate domestic incident which has had deadly

consequences where there at least one person unfortunately dead and

the possibility of another. It has left his community in deep, deep

shock. Everyone is absolutely shocked at what has happened and

cannot understand what is going on. But we appeal for anyone with any

information about what has happened to pass it on to the PSNI. A

postmortem examination will take place to determine the cause of

death. Four men arrested in Lurgan last

week in an investigation into dissident Republican activity

A court's been told that when the police were called

to a house in Craigavon they discovered blood stains,

The badly beaten remains were those of Owen Creaney from Lurgan.
