Hundreds of people were evacuated from homes in Bristol today

after police were called to deal with a car doused in petrol.

A bomb disposal team was sent to the Fishponds area,

as a local pub and school became temporary shelters for residents.

At first light, people living in 460 homes were moved out and the

Cassell Road residents had noticed a car smelling strongly of petrol.

Police were concerned enough to move everyone
