Good Evening. A man's been `rrested tonight on suspicion of murdering

Tom Rogers who was found de`d last week on a cycle path near Swindon

Railway station. He'd been stabbed several times. Today his frhends and

family paid tribute to the 60 year old, describing him as a sociable

and well`liked man. Scott Ellis reports.

Wiltshire Police have been viewing hours of CCTV footage as part of

their investigation into thd murder of Tom Rogers. The 60`year`old was

stabbed multiple times on Thursday night, as he cycled home through

this underpass, near Swindon railway station. Tonight, a 28`year`old man

has been arrested on suspichon of murder. It comes on the day that

tributes were paid to Tom Rogers, including at the pub where he had

disgusted by what has happened. He's just going to be very, very missed.

He was so reliable. Everybody cared about him. He was a good melber of

our team. And he was always here. He was here a lot, he knew a lot of

tribute today, David Rogers saying: "It hasn't sunk in my dad h`s gone

and that I won't be able to spend time with him any more. I rdally

feel his loss and will alwaxs miss my dad." His brother and two sisters

live overseas and said in a tribute today that Tom was a kind,

unassuming, gentle man with a happy heart. Tom Rogers lived in Walcot.

Professionals dealing with this can place it firmly within the law and

not be misguided and thinking that somehow this is part of our culture.

So, a victim is more likely to get the right response and be bdlieved.

What do you think about schools taking up this issue?

I have to say, schools are at the heart of prevention.

The disappointing thing is that nationally, we're not seeing a

There are many more schools out there and we need them to engage.

Thousands of people have bedn pouring out of the Glastonbtry
