Good evening. That's all from

:00:00.:00:10.

The West Country's most powerful policeman will be interviewed under

:00:11.:00:14.

a criminal caution for allegedly leaking information.

:00:15.:00:16.

It's said that Nick Gargan, who's the chief constable of Avon

:00:17.:00:18.

and Somerset Police, breached the Data Protection Act by writing

:00:19.:00:22.

emails to people outside the force disclosing personal information.

:00:23.:00:26.

Mr Gargan is currently suspended after complaints against him

:00:27.:00:29.

Our Home Affairs Correspondent Steve Brodie reports.

:00:30.:00:35.

Nick Gargan, seen arriving at a meeting with the woman who fought

:00:36.:00:38.

to appoint him, Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens.

:00:39.:00:42.

Since May, though, he hasn't been at work.

:00:43.:00:45.

Suspended after allegations he'd abused his senior position

:00:46.:00:52.

by making inappropriate advances to female members of staff.

:00:53.:00:54.

That investigation is still continuing.

:00:55.:00:57.

But today came the news he'll face other questions too.

:00:58.:00:59.

The police watchdog, the IPCC, says it's uncovered evidence that the

:01:00.:01:03.

Chief Constable may have breached the Data Protection Act, by sending

:01:04.:01:06.

emails concerning police business, some of which may have contained

:01:07.:01:11.

personal details, to people outside the force. The

:01:12.:01:14.

IPCC have told the Chief Constable he will now be interviewed under

:01:15.:01:17.

In the course of these investigations,

:01:18.:01:22.

the new evidence, the new information has to be identified,

:01:23.:01:25.

it has to be assessed, considered, and a decision has to be made.

:01:26.:01:30.

Ultimately, we will find out from the IPCC

:01:31.:01:33.

whether they think there is a case that has to go before a tribunal.

:01:34.:01:37.

That's a matter that has to be determined by the authority,

:01:38.:01:40.

in this case, which is the Police and Crime Commissioner.

:01:41.:01:43.

Speaking on behalf of Nick Gargan, a spokesman for the Chief Police

:01:44.:01:46.

Nick Gargan is expected to be interviewed in the coming weeks.

:01:47.:02:10.

Gloucestershire Police have tonight charged a man with the murder

:02:11.:02:12.

of a health care assistant at the unit where she worked.

:02:13.:02:15.

Sharon Wall, who was 53, was stabbed at a hospital

:02:16.:02:17.

Tonight her family said she was one in a million

:02:18.:02:22.

Police have charged 61`year`old Ryan Matthews, of Horton Road

:02:23.:02:27.

Criminal charges could be brought against three Avon and Somerset

:02:28.:02:33.

police officers and one PCSO for their treatment of an Iranian

:02:34.:02:36.

Bijan Ebrahimi repeatedly complained to police that he was the victim

:02:37.:02:42.

of anti`social behaviour before he was beaten to death

:02:43.:02:46.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission says its sent a file

:02:47.:02:51.

of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service who will

:02:52.:02:55.

The IPCC is also investigating the conduct

:02:56.:02:59.

Leading players in the art world have selected a Somerset village as

:03:00.:03:08.

Bruton, which is on the River Brue between Frome and Yeovil,

:03:09.:03:12.

But now it's home to a gallery showing work you'd normally find

:03:13.:03:17.

For a decade, it was a derelict farm.

:03:18.:03:26.

The giant milk pail, a nod to the past.

:03:27.:03:29.

The rather dark sculpture in the old farmyard, a nod to the future.

:03:30.:03:35.

I am very, very excited about the opening of the gallery...

:03:36.:03:38.

First, there was Zurich, then came London and New York.

:03:39.:03:42.

Now, add Bruton to the list of galleries.

:03:43.:03:46.

Somerset, exhibiting the kind of work by the kind of artists

:03:47.:03:49.

normally showing at places like the Tate or the Guggenheim.

:03:50.:03:53.

I really believe there is a contemporary art`loving audience

:03:54.:03:56.

Just because we are in the countryside does not mean

:03:57.:04:00.

people aren't passionate about contemporary art,

:04:01.:04:01.

This is a place where lots of different audiences can come

:04:02.:04:07.

Hauser and Wirth are a business partnership, renowned as serious

:04:08.:04:12.

There'll be no charge to visit this gallery when it opens next week.

:04:13.:04:19.

They'll make their money by selling the works on display.

:04:20.:04:23.

It does have a price, but we don't talk about prices.

:04:24.:04:26.

In other words, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it!

:04:27.:04:30.

The people who run this place represent 60 internationally

:04:31.:04:34.

renowned artists and over time all of their work will be featured here.

:04:35.:04:39.

By the way, in case you think this has all been dumped here, it hasn't,

:04:40.:04:43.

This week, the place has been hosting local

:04:44.:04:51.

Hauser and Wirth want this to be as much an education centre

:04:52.:04:57.

What do you want children to get out of this when they come here?

:04:58.:05:03.

I want them to be challenged, to understand art and what it is,

:05:04.:05:07.

rather than a preconception that art is something that is on the wall.

:05:08.:05:12.

And whether cardboard boxes or giant pom`poms are your idea of art,

:05:13.:06:54.

for the outlook, well we will see showers on
