Good evening. 13 families have been forced to

leave their homes in the Swansea Valley following a landslip.

They've been told the problem can't be tackled until Friday at the

earliest. Hundreds of tonnes of soil, rock and trees moved down

slopes on Saturday night and are now resting against homes and roads.

The council says it's too wet to start work to remove the debris.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a lady

was found dead in command and on Christmas Day. Detectives on to

hear from anyone in the area on 5am on Christmas Eve and 11am on

Christmas Day. Welsh shoppers have been out in

force, determined to bag the best Boxing Day bargains. In Wrexham,

more than 2,000 people queued in the early hours, a new record for

the centre. In Cardiff, around 150,000 visitors are thought to

have been at St David's shopping centre, on top of what has already

been a record-breaking few days in the Welsh capital. Nick Palit

reports. We cannot get enough of the shops. They have only been

close one day and already customers are back with a vengeance. It saves

money buying things after Christmas. It it is a tradition. Lot of

bargains and the children had vouchers for Christmas. They have

had an exceptional festive period in Cardiff, bucking the gloomy

predictions for other high street. We are really pleased. We have had

record sales. But record visitors to the centre. But the festive

period really matters. A large proportion of the company's bottom-

line coming from this time of year. It has become a far more important

in the last decade. 10 years ago, Boxing Day sales were found. But as

the economy has or dipped over the last five years and as Christmas

has become more stretched, the bargains have become more important.

The British Retail Consortium say Christmas spending in shops has

been acceptable, but not exceptional. In Cardiff, they have

broken the sales records for the third year running. The competition

from online continues to grow and markets and the number -- market

analysts expect �500 million to be spent on the internet today alone.

A champion amateur jockey who was seriously injured falling from her

horse 18 months ago has started riding again. Isabel Tompsett from

Llandeilo is recovering at a rehabilitation centre for jockeys

in Berkshire. The 30 year old started riding again in August and

could be well enough to leave the centre in June, but says she'll

never race again. It's been a busy Boxing Day of

sport. Football first: And Swansea were held to a 0-0 draw

at Reading. There are concerns for star signing Michu, who limped off

late in the game. Cardiff City beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at home,

extending their lead at the top of the Championship. In the Conference,

Newport County came from behind to win 2-1 and keep the pressure on

the top spot. Meanwhile, third- place Wrexham beat Telford 4-1 at

Patchell kicked his way to victory over the Newport Gwent Dragons 12-
