Good Evening. Welsh businesses have called on the Chancellor George

Osborne to cut their energy costs, when he unveils his budget on

Wednesday. Mr Osborne has been setting out his message ahead of the

Budget - as have his political opponents. Daniel Davies reports.

This company is a big consumer of energy. It is not just giant steel

companies, thousands of small businesses around the country want

help. Energy bills are growing at a rate that is frightening, and it is

frightening businesses. What that is doing is reducing confidence. If

businesses do not have confidence, they will not employ people or

invest. They will not spend. If they do not spend, the economy does not

turn around. Chancellors are never short of advice about which way to

turn at time of year. We have got to make sure we are getting to the

bottom of what it is that provides economic security for the people of

this country. Having a job? You can deal with your debt? This is a

long-term economic plan. The owners of Abergavenny garden centre say

that business is up. Mr Osborne might say the same about the

economy. Labour sees it differently. We had three years where the economy

went along with no growth, and we have seen some growth come back to

the economy are the fruits of that are being enjoyed by the wealthiest

in Britain. Someone's Mr Osborne to cut taxes. A tax cut for bingo is

aircraft pilot had to make an emergency landing near Swansea,

after his plane hit a flock of birds. The aircraft flipped upside

down on the private runway in Grovesend, causing substantial

damage, but the pilot escaped serious injury. The Air Accidents

Investigation Branch has been informed. The chairman of Plaid

Cymru says it was "entirely appropriate" for party leader Leanne

Wood to sack Lord Elis-Thomas as chairman of an assembly committee.

Dafydd Trystan Davies told the BBC's Sunday Politics Wales programme,

Plaid needed to be disciplined, to present a progressive, positive

agenda. Lord Elis-Thomas had criticised an attack on UKIP at the

party's Spring Conference as "facile". The fight to save a

seaside children's camp from closure is gathering momentum. Two weeks ago

it was revealed that Salford City Council was planning to close the

Salford Children's Holiday Camp in Prestatyn, which was established in

1926 to give underprivileged children a seaside holiday. 1300

people have signed a petition protesting against the cuts and

?25,000 has been raised to fund immediate repairs and improvements.

Football fans queued up in Cardiff to look at the World Cup trophy.

Hundreds turned out to pose for pictures. Football legends Terry

Medwin and Colin Baker, who were part of the Welsh team that competed

in 1958 in Sweden, were also there to share their experiences. Looking

back, we did so well in reaching the quarterfinals of the World Cup.

Rugby, and Wales are set to tour South Africa without captain Sam

Warburton. He dislocated his shoulder in the last minute of their

Six Nations victory over Scotland yesterday. He's being scanned and

probably faces an operation. Wales' women condemned Scotland to a Six

Nations Wooden Spoon as they ran-in four unanswered tries in Port

Talbot. It gave Wales their first win of the tournament, after defeats

by Italy, Ireland, France and England. The final score 25-0. The

weather and across most of Wales there's some been some glorious

to the west and some hill folk, some pleasant temperatures and 19

degrees. -- hill fog. We have some cloud filling in now and that set

the tone for the week ahead with spots of drizzle as well. For many,

dry week but also quite breezy as we head towards the middle of the week.

Tonight light westerly winds and this cloud will come in from the

North West. With that blanket of cloud, a mild night ahead at six or

seven Celsius. Tomorrow, we continue with the cloudy theme, in fact for

the whole of the week. Some areas will have spots of drizzle but

elsewhere, it remains dry. Sunshine for the Southeast and there we could

see 14 or 15 Celsius. Ten or 11 elsewhere. Cloudy week ahead but
