members of staff have been suspended and police are investigating,

following the death of an elderly The 88-year-old died at

Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil after being

transferred from Ysbyty Cwm Cynon with serious injuries, that are

being treated as unexplained. The elderly lady was a patient here

at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon in Mountain Ash. The injury was discovered as part

of routine patient care last Five from the night shift before

those suspensions are precautionary. The 88-year-old woman was

transferred to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil

where she died earlier today. In a statement,

the Health Board says it initiated a "multi agency strategy meeting to

consider the circumstances It adds that staff on duty

at the time are in the process of being interviewed to assist the

investigation and that the family South Wales Police say there is no

confirmed link between the 88-year-old woman's

injuries and her death. Four people are assisting them with

their enquiries and a post mortem The politicians are divided over
