Some of the reaction to the sacking of Environment Minister

Alun Davies was out of proportion, says a former Labour adviser.

Mr Davies lost his job last week after trying to

obtain private personal details about opposition politicians.

David Taylor, who worked for Peter Hain when he was

Welsh Secretary, is now questioning some of the outrage vented.
