Good evening. A convicted drug trafficker from Swansea who is one

of the UK's most wanted criminals has been arrested in South Africa

after three years on the run. Martin Evans absconded from prison in 2011.

He had eluded police for three years but last night they finally caught

the man. Martin Evans was arrested in Johannesburg in a global

operation. Officers swooped as he was getting out of his car, his life

as a fugitive is now over. It is a message for criminals that they will

follow you wherever you decide to continue your operations. It is a

measure of his crimes that justice will now be done and he will return

to the UK to serve his sentence. He set up this ostrich farm near

Swansea promising investors huge profit but it was all a scam, he

conned them out of ?1 million. Before he went to jail he fled to

Spain where he started a drug selling business in Ma B. He was

eventually caught and sentenced to 21 years in jail. In 2011 he

disappeared after failing to return from a weekend in prison. It sparked

an international search where he was finally tracked down in South

Africa. One of the UK's most wanted criminals finally brought to

justice. The common run of games comes to an end tonight. Our

make a difference. His gold capping of an unforgettable fortnight for

team Wales. And last night Wales secured its only track and field
