This has been a weekend of special significant for Wales in Flanders.

:01:04.:01:08.

A weekend which has seen the unveiling of

:01:09.:01:10.

Unveiled by the Welsh First Minister, Carwyn Jones,

:01:11.:01:17.

and his Flemish counterpart, it looks out now across ground

:01:18.:01:21.

which was once a battlefield where the Welsh fought and died.

:01:22.:01:24.

The new Welsh memorial is the product of four years of fundraising

:01:25.:01:27.

But looking at this now, I'm just flabbergasted that we've

:01:28.:01:42.

Everybody else thinks it's magnificent.

:01:43.:01:48.

This memorial is for everybody who contributed at that time.

:01:49.:01:55.

It's our national war memorial in this part of the world.

:01:56.:02:00.

Many of the more than 1,000 who attended the unveiling were

:02:01.:02:02.

The memorial is the first for Wales in Flanders and commemorates all

:02:03.:02:08.

those men and women who took part in the First World War.

:02:09.:02:11.

I thought it was absolutely wonderful.

:02:12.:02:14.

Very moving, but a brilliant, brilliant day.

:02:15.:02:18.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

:02:19.:02:22.

Earlier today, hundreds attended a service at the

:02:23.:02:26.

grave of the poet Hedd Wyn and in honouring him, they were honouring

:02:27.:02:29.

I've been moved so many times in this particular Artillery Wood.

:02:30.:02:43.

Every time you come through that arch way, it moves you,

This evening in Ypres a unique weekend of Welsh

Urgent action is needed to attract more nurses to work

:02:58.:03:01.

in care homes across Wales, according to a campaign group.

:03:02.:03:04.

Care Forum Wales say a shortage of nurses is at risk of becoming

:03:05.:03:08.

a crisis after it emerged two homes in the Bridgend area are to close

:03:09.:03:11.

The Welsh Government said it would work to ensure the care

:03:12.:03:16.

and safety of residents in the homes that are closing.

:03:17.:03:20.

A four-year-old boy has been rescued from Swansea Marina after a man,

:03:21.:03:24.

who was eating at a nearby restaurant, saw him fall in.

:03:25.:03:26.

The local man jumped into the water to save

:03:27.:03:29.

the child yesterday evening after he wandered away from his mother.

:03:30.:03:32.

Paramedics then took the youngster to Morriston Hospital for checks.

:03:33.:03:38.

Doctors say a Welsh rally co-driver, injured in a crash

:03:39.:03:41.

which killed his team-mate, is in a comfortable condition in hospital.

:03:42.:03:44.

Dai Roberts, from Carmarthen, was airlifted to hospital in Belfast

:03:45.:03:47.

Driver Timothy Cathcart was killed in the crash.

:03:48.:03:54.

:04:10.:04:21.

A windy day today. That wind will remain a constant in our weather for

the next couple of days. It will make us feel cool at times.

:04:29.:04:31.

Temperatures in double figures tomorrow. Cooler in the countryside.

:04:32.:04:37.

That wind will be persisting. Showers first thing. They will clear

:04:42.:04:52.

afternoon 16-17 Celsius. We will run the risk of showers at times and

:04:53.:04:54.

chilly nights too. We'll have all
