Former Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has apologised for sending

two text messages he admits were "disrespectful of other cultures".

He is under investigation by the Football Association, after Cardiff

In a statement tonight from the League of Managers

on his behalf, he denied sending homophobic and sexist messages.

He has been out of work for eight months and to Mike the prospect of

Malky Mackay returning to a job in football seems a lot further away.

The FA are considering a file provided by Cardiff City which

provides allegations of misconduct by Malky Mackay and Iain Moody well

at the club. The dossier contains allegations the pair exchanged

seriously inaccurate and misleading reports of his alleged involvement

and looks forward to putting the record straight after any FA

investigation. Anyone in football, the managers, comedy club owners,

people in the hierarchy, should be taking a leadership role and we do

not feel that these comments are taking a leadership role and we do

appropriate in public or in private. One of the people allegedly referred

to in the texts is this football agent. I would prefer people to say

some into my face. I do not want to be judgemental on either of them

because I think it is out of character, personally. But I am a

Jewish person and looking at what is happening, it is worrying for Jewish

people. This is a multiracial issue. It will be worrying for others.

Malky Mackay and Iain Moody first worked together at Watford. They

were set to be reunited at Crystal Palace but today Iain Moody resigned

from his job as their sporting director. Lawyers working for

Cardiff had searched Iain Moody 's home looking for evidence of

irregularities in his transfer dealings. What they found has now

been sent to the FA. Cardiff stress the dossier was handed over before

Malky Mackay applied for the vacant post at Crystal Palace. The Scotsman

was certainly a popular figure with fans at Cardiff City. Fans protested

when he was sacked by owner Vincent Tan. He was a bit of an icon last

season with all the stuff that was going on off the pitch. Those of us

who have been lucky enough to meet him would see these allegations as

out of character. If true, it would really be devastating. Legal

compensation claims were dropped against Cardiff for wrongful

dismissal. But with the allegations now in the hand of the FA, this

affair is far from finished. The ambulance service is

investigating its response to a six-year-old girl believed to

have choked to death while on Jasmine Lapsley was treated

by paramedics at a holiday home in Morfa Nefyn

before being flown to hospital. The Welsh Ambulance Service said

first responders arrived within 16 minutes, double

its eight-minute target. A man jailed for killing

six-week-old Alfie Sullock will have his nine-year sentence reviewed

after concerns it's too lenient. Michael Pearce,

who's 33 and from Caerphilly, was jailed for the manslaughter

of his girlfriend's son in July. The case has now been referred to
