Good evening.

Muslims in Wales are living in "immense fear" of backlashes,

following the Paris terrorist attacks.

That's according to the assistant secretary general

of the Muslim Council of Wales.

It comes as people across the nation have shown solidarity with France.

Nicola Smith reports.

Around Wales, the images of solidarity

from one nation to another.

The colours of the tricolore are shining brightly

once more tonight across famous buildings and monuments here.

The terrible events in Paris may have happened hundreds

of miles away, but the grief is being felt far and wide.

And amongst the Muslim community here, there is

an ever growing sense of fear, too.

Sahar Al Fahifi, from the Muslim Council of Wales,

told me she condemns the attacks,

but has raised concerns about a potential backlash here.

Personally, I have faced verbal and sometimes physical abuse.

I don't know what life is like without Islamophobia.

I'm a professional scientist.

I work in a local hospital and sometimes patients

around me say abuse.

We are human beings, like you.

We are not like ISIS.

Yes, maybe we are dressed differently,

maybe we have different practices,

but we are human beings and we share a universal value of

freedom, justice, equality.

In Paris today, the sheer horror of what happened is still thinking in.

Remi Roberts is from Cardiff, but moved to the French capital

just over one year ago.

It's a very tense city, I'd say.

Lots of tension here now.

Certainly a lot of heartbroken people, myself included.

I'm very shocked at what happened here.

The barbaric acts thtat have happened.

But this is a resilient city.

We've got a lot and will continue to survive and thrive.

Yesterday was a black day for Paris.

The Eiffel Tower was dark, it was switched off.

All the department stores were closed.

All the museums were closed.

All matches, all games, all sports of any kind were cancelled.

There were hardly any people in the streets.

Tonight, a vigil will be held outside the

Senedd building in Cardiff Bay.

And the French counsel to Wales says she's been overwhelmed

by the messages of support.

I've had more than 100 messages within four hours yesterday morning

from people from all over Wales, friends and families, but also MPs,

AMs, representative members of the religious community.

It's been really comforting to feel solidarity and support

in such hard times.

The Muslim Council for Wales says there's already a positive

relationship between them, the Welsh government and the police.

But they say more can and should be done to ensure a

greater understanding and tolerance of different cultures here.

Two men have been charged with murder following the discovery

of human remains at a property in Llanelli.

Police were called to Pleasant View in the Felinfoel area

on Tuesday afternoon.

45-year-old Phillip Hudson Jones and 20-year-old Adrian Iwanowski

have been remanded in custody to appear at Llanelli

Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Three other people have been charged with assisting an offender.

Hundreds of homes have been left without power, while roads

and trains have been affected by flooding in parts of Wales.

This was the scene in Llanuwchllyn near Bala earlier, where flooded

roads caused some disruption.

Scottish Power said 300 customers have had power cuts,

with the worst affected areas around Newtown and Welshpool.

An additional 259 Western Power Distribution customers are without

electricity in Carmarthenshire.

The Wales Rally GB was won earlier by World Rally Champion,

Sebastian Ogier.

It was the third time in a row the Frenchman has won the race.

Wales' Elfyn Evans finished sixth in the race, and seventh overall

in the Championship.

Rugby, and in the Challenge Cup, the Newport Gwent Dragons claimed

a bonus point win against Sale, winning 30 points to 12,

at Rodney Parade.

In the Champions Cup heading towards half-time, the Ospreys are
