There's a warning tonight that some areas of West and North Wales should

be braced for further flooding after several flash

There are now four flood warnings in place and 12 flood alerts.

Natural Resources Wales say more rain is due to affect the same areas

The road to the village of Llechryd near Cardigan was invisible today.

Heavy rain overnight led to the River Teifi

no staff could get in and no guests could get out.

Meanwhile, in Carmarthen the River Tywi broke its banks,

and fire crews were called to five flooded homes in Tremadog in Gwynedd

Natural Resources Wales say the situation is improving,

but another band of heavy rain is expected to affect

With the land already saturated and river levels already rising,

they say the chance of further flooding is high.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales has questioned

whether a government review into the use of guns by police

"which depend on close trust between the police and the community

"and is the basis of our largely unarmed police service.

"I am not sure that a generalised response will help greatly

"when there are such differences in different parts of the UK."
