A delegation from the Welsh steel industry is on its way

to Tata Steel's Mumbai headquarters for crunch talks on the works

Union representatives, steel workers and the Aberavon MP

Stephen Kinnock are flying out to discuss a plan to secure

Over 700 job losses were announced there in January.

In Port Talbot, the steel works dominate the landscape

and for Tata Steel Rugby Club, the battle to save the works

is never far from their thoughts.

If this reorganisation and restructure does not really

work, it's looking be pretty grim for the place.

Everyone is worried in the local area.

If it gets you down, things are only going to get worse.

You have got to be positive to try and save the company.

The more you think about it, the more you're going to get down

up together and drive on to keep on producing steel,

keep on breaking records and keep on making money.

The global steel industry is facing trying times.

The works are said to be losing a million pounds a day.

The long-term sustainability is in question.

Tonight, a delegation of steel workers, union leaders and the

local MP Stephen Kinnock are flying out to try and convince the board

members at Tata to back the turnaround plan for Port Talbot.

We are at a pivotal time now for the steel industry

and the community is backing this plan because otherwise,

if the steel industry goes, it is the end of the local

economies, the communities will die, and it is something we can't sit

The workforce in Port Talbot has always delivered,

they have always broken production records, they make the best steel

that money can buy, so what we need now is Tata Steel to hold its nerve,

to back the plan and we can move forward.

Despite the uncertainty, the fate of these workers,

their families and this community will be decided in a board room

Four people have died following a two-car collision

The crash happened on Friday morning between Rhayader

Dyfed-Powys Police say two people in each car were killed.

One other person remains in hospital but their condition is not known.

Almost 3,500 people have signed a petition

to save a Pembrokeshire-based counselling service
