One of two GPs accused of the manslaughter of the 12 road boy from

Blaenau Gwent has been acquitted of all charges. The jury was directed

to find Doctor Lindsay Thomas not guilty of unlawfully killing Ryan

Morse from Abertillery in 2012. The GP found not guilty of

manslaughter. She had been accused of failing to prevent the death of

12-year-old Ryan Morse. He had undiagnosed Addison's disease, rare

but potentially fatal condition affecting the adrenal glands. Dr

Lindsey Thomas had been accused of failing in her duty in not examining

him in person after speaking to his mother on the phone the day before

he died. But Dr Lindsey Thomas's legal team argued it was not enough

evidence fully properly directed jury hearing at Cardiff Crown Court

to find a not guilty of gross negligence when it came to the duty

of care she had over Ryan. The judge instructed the jury to find Dr

Lindsey Thomas not guilty of manslaughter. The statement was

later read out on her behalf. She is pleased that the case against has

been concluded when the findings of no case to answer. She would like to

thank her family, friends, patients and legal team for their support. Dr

Lindsey Thomas would like to offer her condolences to Ryan Moore 's's

family. Legal proceedings against her colleague are ongoing.

Victim support workers in Gwent say so-called "mate crime",
