Two weeks after the election, Welsh Labour's Carwyn Jones | :00:10. | :00:15.
There's a deal with Plaid Cymru, who've already fired a warning shot. | :00:16. | :00:20.
We have no doubt about the responsibilities on us | :00:21. | :00:24.
and the responsibility upon me in particular to work | :00:25. | :00:26.
with others where we can for the good of our people. | :00:27. | :00:29.
If that party thinks they're bullying last week will stop | :00:30. | :00:32.
Plaid Cymru from voting in a similar way in the future to hold | :00:33. | :00:36.
My government will continue to work in cooperation with the devolved | :00:37. | :00:51.
administrations. In the Queen's Speech, | :00:52. | :00:53.
the UK government promises a "strong and lasting" devolution | :00:54. | :00:56.
settlement in Wales. Aaron didn't get a place at the same | :00:57. | :00:57.
school as his brother. The competition for places | :00:58. | :01:00.
at top comprehensives. Paul Trollope is appointed as new | :01:01. | :01:02.
boss of Cardiff City Football Club. He's given one simple aim - | :01:03. | :01:05.
secure promotion to And who says you can't get much for | :01:06. | :01:19.
a pound these days? That is the rent they want for this farm in | :01:20. | :01:24.
Llandudno. But it comes with strings attached. | :01:25. | :01:32.
After a week of deadlock, it's official. | :01:33. | :01:37.
Carwyn Jones has been elected Wales' First Minister. | :01:38. | :01:39.
He's announced a 100-day plan of action for the Welsh government. | :01:40. | :01:43.
A deal was struck between Labour and Plaid Cymru but both parties say | :01:44. | :01:47.
Plaids' leader, Leanne Wood, didn't pull any punches, | :01:48. | :01:52.
accusing Labour of bullying tactics last week. | :01:53. | :01:55.
Our political editor Nick Servini now on a big day in the Assembly. | :01:56. | :02:09.
TRANSLATION: I will recommend to Her Majesty the appointment of Carwyn | :02:10. | :02:16.
Jones as First Minister. A week after it was supposed to have | :02:17. | :02:20.
happened, Carwyn Jones was officially nominated as First | :02:21. | :02:24.
Minister, and it was far from being a victory speech after the events of | :02:25. | :02:28.
last week, when his nomination was effectively blocked by the | :02:29. | :02:32.
opposition parties. For the fifth time in a row, the Welsh people have | :02:33. | :02:36.
asked Welsh Labour to form government and they have said | :02:37. | :02:40.
proceeds but with caution and humility, because we have no | :02:41. | :02:44.
majority. It was in marked contrast to the tone adopted by Plaid Cymru | :02:45. | :02:49.
leader Leanne Wood, who wasted no time in going on the attack. If that | :02:50. | :02:53.
party thinks they're bullying last week will stop Plaid Cymru from | :02:54. | :02:57.
voting in a similar way in the future to hold you to account, then | :02:58. | :03:03.
think again. I am not sorry for what happened last week and I will do it | :03:04. | :03:07.
again if I have to make Labour realise that they are running a | :03:08. | :03:12.
minority government. You would be forgiven for thinking that the two | :03:13. | :03:15.
parties had not been in talks with each other over the past few days to | :03:16. | :03:19.
try to break the deadlock that had prevented the formation of a new | :03:20. | :03:23.
government. But that is what has happened and they have agreed a plan | :03:24. | :03:28.
to work together. The deal means the new Labour administration will | :03:29. | :03:31.
prioritise, among other things, the setting up of a new medical | :03:32. | :03:35.
treatment fund and will review the way patients are assessed, there | :03:36. | :03:39.
will also be a plan to increase the nub of GPs and the creation of a | :03:40. | :03:44.
national infrastructure commission. But there was no agreement on some | :03:45. | :03:48.
of the subjects that split the two parties, such as reform of the | :03:49. | :03:54.
voting system and proposals for a ?1 billion M4 relief road around | :03:55. | :03:58.
Newport. What we have done is identified areas of common ground | :03:59. | :04:02.
between the two parties. There are a few areas where that has happened. | :04:03. | :04:12.
This was looking at particular issues. The leader of the Welsh | :04:13. | :04:16.
Conservatives said there were still many unanswered questions. On | :04:17. | :04:21.
infrastructure projects, large infrastructure projects, it is | :04:22. | :04:24.
important that some clarity is brought around the debate of the M4 | :04:25. | :04:29.
relief road. This is an opportunity now for a new government to map out | :04:30. | :04:33.
and press the green light on what the option is. Ukip promised to is | :04:34. | :04:38.
shake things up and they certainly proved controversial when the leader | :04:39. | :04:43.
of the party's group, Neil Hamilton, was accused of using sexist language | :04:44. | :04:46.
for this description of Kirsty Williams and Leanne Wood. I am | :04:47. | :04:52.
afraid these two ladies have just made themselves political concubines | :04:53. | :04:59.
in Carwyn Jones' harem. What a gruesome prospect that must be. | :05:00. | :05:04.
Whatever the prospects, the time has finally come for the fifth Assembly | :05:05. | :05:08.
term to begin. The next step is a new cabinet which will be put | :05:09. | :05:12.
together over the next few days, after Carwyn Jones has been sworn in | :05:13. | :05:13.
as First Minister. A "stronger, clearer" devolution | :05:14. | :05:16.
settlement for Wales. That's the promise from | :05:17. | :05:18.
the Queen's Speech today Our parliamentary correspondent | :05:19. | :05:20.
David Cornock is at Westminster The Wales Bill is one of 21 new laws | :05:21. | :05:37.
promised in this Queen's Speech. 16 of which will affect us in Wales, | :05:38. | :05:44.
from spaceports to the speed of your broadband. | :05:45. | :05:46.
It's something people who live in urban areas take for granted - | :05:47. | :05:49.
But for Frank Jordan, and many like him in rural | :05:50. | :05:53.
Frank lives in a hamlet near St Asaph in Denbighshire. | :05:54. | :05:57.
You can't have a phone on and the laptop or the television | :05:58. | :06:00.
and the laptop, it has got to be one or the other. | :06:01. | :06:03.
You also notice at peak times when maybe the children arrive | :06:04. | :06:06.
from school and more people are using it, the signal | :06:07. | :06:09.
The Queen's Speech promised the right for every household | :06:10. | :06:13.
This offers so many opportunities to communities in rural Wales | :06:14. | :06:19.
that sometimes have not had that fast access, | :06:20. | :06:27.
they will now have access to that which will provide so many | :06:28. | :06:30.
Some of the new laws announced today sounded a bit familiar. | :06:31. | :06:38.
My government will continue to work in cooperation with | :06:39. | :06:41.
To implement the extensive new powers in the Scotland Act | :06:42. | :06:49.
and establish a strong and lasting devolution settlement in Wales. | :06:50. | :06:53.
A strong and lasting settlement is what the government promised last | :06:54. | :06:56.
year, only to be forced by opponents to rethink its plans. | :06:57. | :07:02.
The new, revised Wales Bill will offer similar changes. | :07:03. | :07:06.
More power for the Welsh government and Assembly over | :07:07. | :07:08.
And more say over its own affairs, the right to call itself | :07:09. | :07:15.
a parliament and allow 16-year-olds the vote. | :07:16. | :07:21.
But with details yet to emerge, opposition parties are sceptical. | :07:22. | :07:25.
I don't think there was much mention of Wales in it. | :07:26. | :07:28.
We heard about the Northern Powerhouse but we have not had any | :07:29. | :07:31.
dates about the electrification of the railway, nothing | :07:32. | :07:34.
at all in North Wales, and nothing more about the tidal lagoon. | :07:35. | :07:43.
These are important infrastructure projects and I would | :07:44. | :07:45.
That will be our aim when that Bill is presented. | :07:46. | :07:55.
But the Wales of the future could look rather different, | :07:56. | :07:57.
Llandbedr Airfield, near Harlech, is still in the running to be chosen | :07:58. | :08:02.
But with a final decision still to be taken, we will have | :08:03. | :08:09.
And MPs will spend the next week debating the contents of this | :08:10. | :08:23.
Queen's Speech, when they are not arguing about the EU referendum, | :08:24. | :08:24.
that is. Unemployment has continued to fall | :08:25. | :08:27.
in Wales and is once again lower than the UK average, | :08:28. | :08:30.
according to latest The rate of unemployment for January | :08:31. | :08:32.
to March fell to 4.8% - In the last year, Wales also saw | :08:33. | :08:37.
the biggest proportional increase in employment | :08:38. | :08:43.
across the United Kingdom. The family of a 15-year-old boy from | :08:44. | :08:58.
Pembrokeshire who died suddenly have described him as a much loved son, | :08:59. | :09:03.
grandson and a brother with a heart of gold. Police have launched an | :09:04. | :09:05.
investigation. The former Police and Crime | :09:06. | :09:08.
Commissioner for Dyfed-Powys has strongly criticised | :09:09. | :09:10.
Carmarthenshire Council Writing on his personal website, | :09:11. | :09:11.
Christopher Salmon, who lost the job following an election earlier this | :09:12. | :09:17.
month, likened the local authority to a "Sicilian cartel" | :09:18. | :09:20.
with a bullying nature. He also says some police officers | :09:21. | :09:23.
need to learn they work for Carmarthenshire Council said it | :09:24. | :09:25.
would not respond I think there are particular | :09:26. | :09:30.
problems of accountability in Wales. There is an unwillingness | :09:31. | :09:38.
to challenge authority, there is an unwillingness to ask | :09:39. | :09:44.
difficult questions of people in authority, there is not | :09:45. | :09:49.
sufficient opposition debate and real engagement that we need | :09:50. | :09:53.
to see to get good government. Choosing a school isn't always | :09:54. | :09:57.
straightforward for parents. In Cardiff, hundreds of families | :09:58. | :10:00.
have been left disappointed after failing to get their child | :10:01. | :10:03.
into a secondary school, But with other schools struggling | :10:04. | :10:06.
to fill their places, the council say they're aiming to | :10:07. | :10:10.
improve standards across the board. Here's our education correspondent | :10:11. | :10:14.
Bethan Lewis. Most parents know by now | :10:15. | :10:17.
which school their children will be But for some, like Zeph Shears, | :10:18. | :10:20.
there is still uncertainty. She wanted her 11-year-old Aaron | :10:21. | :10:26.
to go to Cardiff High School, like his older brother Rhys, | :10:27. | :10:30.
but their home is not within the catchment | :10:31. | :10:34.
and Aaron didn't get in. I said, if this had happened | :10:35. | :10:36.
with Rhys, yes, but then I would not have even entertained it | :10:37. | :10:42.
for my other children. But because the system allowed it | :10:43. | :10:45.
to work for Rhys, I wrongly assumed I was in a stronger position | :10:46. | :10:49.
with Aaron for going Zeph and her four children recently | :10:50. | :10:52.
moved in with her mother who lives in the catchment | :10:53. | :10:59.
but her appeal still failed. And many families who applied | :11:00. | :11:03.
from within the catchment area also did not get places at the school, | :11:04. | :11:06.
which has had some of the best Overall, there were 635 applications | :11:07. | :11:10.
for only 240 places. We want every school in Cardiff | :11:11. | :11:18.
to be an excellent school. The choice of schools | :11:19. | :11:21.
for parents is driven by whether they want Welsh, | :11:22. | :11:23.
whether they want an LEA place, or whether they want a faith plays, | :11:24. | :11:28.
or geography, rather than worry But elsewhere in the capital, | :11:29. | :11:32.
Eastern High School in Rhymney has It has been put in special | :11:33. | :11:39.
measures by the inspectors, who gave it one of its worst | :11:40. | :11:45.
ever reports, and GCSE results here were the worst | :11:46. | :11:47.
in Wales last summer. But the head, given the job | :11:48. | :11:51.
of turning the school around, We want parents to see the school | :11:52. | :12:01.
as it really is so they know exactly If parents want to send | :12:02. | :12:06.
their children here or are interested, | :12:07. | :12:11.
they come at any time. I don't want to be | :12:12. | :12:13.
a used car salesman. I want people to see it and see | :12:14. | :12:16.
that we are actually doing things, Competition for places, | :12:17. | :12:20.
a long-standing fact of life in the south-east of England, | :12:21. | :12:24.
is now a well-established issue The days of automatically | :12:25. | :12:27.
going to the local school Parents have to navigate admissions | :12:28. | :12:32.
policies, application forms And while there is choice and a big | :12:33. | :12:37.
variation in standards, some schools are always going to be | :12:38. | :12:43.
more popular than others. But Zeph and her family feel | :12:44. | :12:48.
let down by the system. Aaron is still left on his home | :12:49. | :12:52.
with no school place, with no friendship group, | :12:53. | :12:55.
and his outlook on it is not Some parents still face tough | :12:56. | :13:00.
decisions about where to send their children, | :13:01. | :13:06.
while the council says it regrets the situation facing | :13:07. | :13:09.
any parent who does not New Cardiff City boss Paul Trollope | :13:10. | :13:12.
speaks of his long-time ambition to take the reins and says he has | :13:13. | :13:22.
clear ideas for the club. But can the National Trust find | :13:23. | :13:26.
the right farmer for the job? Securing funding and finding talent | :13:27. | :13:38.
are two of the main problems faced Let's go back to events at the | :13:39. | :13:55.
Assembly today. Let's pick up on those highly | :13:56. | :14:00.
critical comments from the Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood about | :14:01. | :14:03.
labour and about Carwyn Jones in today's session. I am confused. I | :14:04. | :14:10.
thought you were supposed to be and have done a deal with Labour, and | :14:11. | :14:14.
yet you call them arrogant, complacent and having a sense of | :14:15. | :14:19.
entitlement. What we saw from the events last week is just that. The | :14:20. | :14:24.
vote was tied and we forced labour to come to the table and offer some | :14:25. | :14:30.
concessions. Real gains for people, actually, throughout the country, as | :14:31. | :14:34.
a result of as allowing that nomination to go through. We have | :14:35. | :14:39.
now won four people a new drugs and treatments fund which ends the | :14:40. | :14:43.
postcode lottery, and infrastructure commission which will enable us to | :14:44. | :14:47.
push for our key projects, which will include a vet school in | :14:48. | :14:51.
Aberystwyth, a valleys construction college. I can see what you have | :14:52. | :14:56.
tried to achieve with it but you have been working together all week | :14:57. | :15:00.
and today, highly critical of them. What is going on? I am the Leader of | :15:01. | :15:07.
the Opposition. Plaid Cymru are the official opposition and we intend to | :15:08. | :15:10.
hold this government to account. They don't have a majority, they are | :15:11. | :15:15.
going to have to deal with another party to get their budget through | :15:16. | :15:18.
and every other piece of legislation through. Given what happened last | :15:19. | :15:23.
week, the way they smeared Plaid Cymru over talks we had with Ukip | :15:24. | :15:27.
and the Tories about that though last week, they will find it very | :15:28. | :15:32.
difficult to deal with those two parties now so they can only really | :15:33. | :15:36.
deal with Plaid Cymru. We intend to get our manifesto commitments | :15:37. | :15:41.
through as a result of that. Isn't that confusing for boaters. You have | :15:42. | :15:46.
spent a campaign laying into Labour and now you have done a deal with | :15:47. | :15:51.
them. They are the biggest party, they have the right to try to form | :15:52. | :15:55.
an administration and that is what they have done. But they did not | :15:56. | :15:59.
have an unquestionable right to do that and what we did last week | :16:00. | :16:03.
showed them that they are a minority government and they have to work | :16:04. | :16:07.
with other parties. Neil Hamilton described you as being one of Carwyn | :16:08. | :16:13.
Jones' Carwyn Jones' divines today. I don't think we have any place for | :16:14. | :16:19.
sexism, racism or homophobia in our national Assembly and I will not put | :16:20. | :16:24.
up with that. It was a really fiery session ended today and even though | :16:25. | :16:29.
we have still got a Labour government without an overall | :16:30. | :16:33.
majority, just like the past five years, it has a very different feel | :16:34. | :16:38.
about it. Almost a Parliamentary field. Whether that leads to better | :16:39. | :16:43.
government and better policy decisions is an entirely separate | :16:44. | :16:44.
matter. Securing funding and finding talent | :16:45. | :16:49.
are two of the main problems faced by new technology firms hoping | :16:50. | :16:51.
to get off the ground. Now, a new not-for-profit company's | :16:52. | :16:54.
been launched to help support them Innovation Point in Newport | :16:55. | :17:00.
will offer advice and help bring people together, as our business | :17:01. | :17:04.
correspondent Brian Meechan These insulin pumps made by... Are | :17:05. | :17:17.
smaller and more discreet than the alternatives used by people with | :17:18. | :17:22.
type one diabetes. This is the type of company that Innovation Point has | :17:23. | :17:26.
been setup to help. It is based in Swansea and employs 120 workers. | :17:27. | :17:32.
Operating since 2002, its pubs are only now reaching the market, having | :17:33. | :17:37.
gone through the rigorous design and testing needed to pass the | :17:38. | :17:41.
regulations required for medical devices. It comes with especially | :17:42. | :17:45.
designed handset which monitors the pub and feeds the information back | :17:46. | :17:49.
to the patient and medical staff. The whole system has taken tens of | :17:50. | :17:54.
millions of pounds to develop. We had the pump working quite a long | :17:55. | :17:59.
time ago but to make sure we are up to scratch, we cover all the safety | :18:00. | :18:04.
issues, make sure that everything is fail-safe, that takes a long time. A | :18:05. | :18:09.
recent report found that over 43,000 people were employed in the digital | :18:10. | :18:14.
technology sector in Wales. And it was responsible for contributing | :18:15. | :18:20.
?600 million to the Welsh economy. But 59% of the businesses questioned | :18:21. | :18:25.
highlighted limited talents of light as a problem. 48 present identified | :18:26. | :18:28.
accessing finance as another difficulty. We focus on five areas. | :18:29. | :18:36.
Bringing people together, offering advice and helping to find funding | :18:37. | :18:39.
are some of the key areas that Innovation Point plans to tackle. It | :18:40. | :18:44.
is funded by the Welsh government with the private sector offering | :18:45. | :18:48.
expertise. The more you look into this, the more you realise there is | :18:49. | :18:52.
a lot of funding out there but very little awareness or capability to | :18:53. | :18:58.
get that funding. It is a very complicated environment to identify | :18:59. | :19:02.
the opportunities and also, if you identify a good opportunity and you | :19:03. | :19:06.
form a partnership, it is really challenging to do the documentation | :19:07. | :19:10.
necessary to win the bid. The test for Innovation Point will be whether | :19:11. | :19:15.
it can help companies like this when to reach their potential, allowing | :19:16. | :19:18.
them to grow and create skilled jobs along the way. | :19:19. | :19:21.
Paul Trollope is the new boss at Cardiff City Football Club. | :19:22. | :19:23.
His appointment as head coach was confirmed this morning | :19:24. | :19:26.
and he succeeds Russell Slade, who has taken up the post | :19:27. | :19:29.
The 43-year-old former Wales midfielder says it's | :19:30. | :19:33.
been his long-time ambition to take the reins at the club, | :19:34. | :19:35.
The man given the task of leading Cardiff City to a top six finish | :19:36. | :19:41.
Confirmed as Russell Slade's successor, he says accepting the top | :19:42. | :19:48.
job was a no-brainer, insisting he will be his own man. | :19:49. | :19:53.
Every coach, every manager has their own personal philosophies | :19:54. | :19:56.
of how they want the game played, what they expect of the players, | :19:57. | :20:00.
both on and off the pitch, and I will be bringing my | :20:01. | :20:03.
There will be fresh blood in the staff as well. | :20:04. | :20:07.
That is my aim, which hopefully will happen sooner | :20:08. | :20:10.
As a player, he spent time with a variety of clubs, | :20:11. | :20:16.
the midfielder winning nine international caps for Wales. | :20:17. | :20:19.
As head coach and then manager, he steered Bristol Rovers | :20:20. | :20:22.
to promotion from League 2 and after spells with Birmingham | :20:23. | :20:25.
and Norwich City, moved to work under Russell Slade at Cardiff | :20:26. | :20:29.
Today, he was announced as Cardiff City boss. | :20:30. | :20:36.
His appointment suggests Cardiff City wants continuity. | :20:37. | :20:39.
He knows the club, he knows the players, but the 43-year-old | :20:40. | :20:42.
will need to stamp his authority on matters so that fans don't see | :20:43. | :20:46.
this appointment as a continuation of the Slade regime. | :20:47. | :20:50.
There are some who think he has got a head start. | :20:51. | :20:55.
He knows where the club are at so there are fans that | :20:56. | :20:58.
There are those who would have loved to see other names, | :20:59. | :21:03.
Neil Warnock or Craig Bellamy, but it always seemed likely that | :21:04. | :21:05.
Paul Trollope was going to keep his role as head coach but now very much | :21:06. | :21:10.
So with his title still head coach and with Russell Slade | :21:11. | :21:16.
remaining at the club, what will be the | :21:17. | :21:19.
Not prepared to reveal the length of Trollope's contract, | :21:20. | :21:23.
the club's chairman did clarify the new roles, | :21:24. | :21:26.
starting with Slade as head of football. | :21:27. | :21:29.
He will be helping us with all football matters, | :21:30. | :21:31.
Paul Trollope will report directly to our CEO and he very much has | :21:32. | :21:38.
a free hand to put his coaching team together and the formation and how | :21:39. | :21:44.
he wants to play football, and that is the big significant | :21:45. | :21:47.
change, that we are allowing Paul to express himself on the pitch. | :21:48. | :21:52.
Trollope is also a member of Chris Coleman's Wales coaching team. | :21:53. | :21:56.
He will continue in that role at this summer's Euro 2016 finals | :21:57. | :22:00.
in France and insists it will not hinder the Bluebirds' | :22:01. | :22:03.
What happens after France is yet to be decided. | :22:04. | :22:10.
Fans will be glad to hear he has been promised money to develop | :22:11. | :22:14.
the squad as Cardiff City start the process yet again | :22:15. | :22:16.
under new management, aiming for top-flight football. | :22:17. | :22:21.
Cricket, and Glamorgan have slumped to defeat | :22:22. | :22:23.
The Welsh Rugby Union have confirmed Rhys Edwards has left his role | :22:24. | :22:37.
as head coach for the women's national squad by mutual consent. | :22:38. | :22:40.
The WRU hope to advertise the role shortly. | :22:41. | :22:43.
A ?1 million property and you can rent it for just ?1 a year. | :22:44. | :22:50.
The National Trust is looking for a tenant to take | :22:51. | :22:53.
on its 145 acre farm on the Great Orme above Llandudno. | :22:54. | :22:58.
There has to be a catch and there is. | :22:59. | :23:01.
The farmer will have to put nature first, looking after | :23:02. | :23:03.
wildlife and rare plants as well as grazing sheep. | :23:04. | :23:06.
It is how some of the 600,000 visitors every year get to the top | :23:07. | :23:12.
and from the Great Orme cable car, you get a glimpse of | :23:13. | :23:16.
the farmland and the challenges the new tenant will face here. | :23:17. | :23:21.
Park Farm is tucked in behind the summit. | :23:22. | :23:24.
It was bought by the National Trust last year. | :23:25. | :23:27.
There is now a 10-year plan to reverse a decline | :23:28. | :23:30.
The importance of the site means we have to come up with a very | :23:31. | :23:36.
We are asking someone to look at what is very productive farmland | :23:37. | :23:43.
And unproductive farmland, and do more with it. | :23:44. | :23:47.
We recognise farmers are already finding it tough enough | :23:48. | :23:51.
as it is so we have to get the right person in to do the right thing | :23:52. | :23:56.
to make sure this landscape thrives and survives. | :23:57. | :23:58.
The National Trust says a balance will have to be struck. | :23:59. | :24:01.
They want a productive farm business which makes money but they also | :24:02. | :24:04.
And that ?1 a year rent, too good to be true, perhaps. | :24:05. | :24:14.
Whoever takes on this place will need to be committed. | :24:15. | :24:17.
Running a farm on the Great Orme is no walk in the park. | :24:18. | :24:20.
And there is all those visitors to contend with as well. | :24:21. | :24:24.
There is a lot of sheep to look after. | :24:25. | :24:39.
So who is the National Trust looking for? | :24:40. | :24:48.
Ideally, someone who loves the place. | :24:49. | :24:50.
You have got to love the place, you have got to want to make this | :24:51. | :24:53.
place recover, thrive, to really look after the species. | :24:54. | :24:55.
We need someone who is really committed, someone who wants | :24:56. | :24:59.
to do their best for conservation, and someone who can get that message | :25:00. | :25:03.
This is their opportunity to explain how we can do things | :25:04. | :25:09.
The Trust promises a mix of wildlife, tourists and a good | :25:10. | :25:16.
measure of hard work, and it says its switchboard has been | :25:17. | :25:20.
Well, nice and dry on the Great Orme today. | :25:21. | :25:26.
Derek, what's in store for us over the next few days? | :25:27. | :25:30.
Some dramatic clouds in Pontyclun this morning but in between | :25:31. | :25:40.
Turned out nice in John's garden in Cardigan, with blue sky | :25:41. | :25:45.
Showers in places but these will die away. | :25:46. | :25:51.
And turning cool, especially in the countryside. | :25:52. | :25:57.
So here's the picture for 8:00am in the morning. | :25:58. | :25:59.
Some hazy sunshine and feeling pleasant with light winds. | :26:00. | :26:06.
The weaker in the west with increasing medium and high cloud. | :26:07. | :26:10.
Now I'd make the most of the dry weather. | :26:11. | :26:14.
Fronts over Ireland are heading our way. | :26:15. | :26:17.
So to recap, dry tomorrow morning but the sunshine won't last. | :26:18. | :26:22.
It will cloud over with some rain and drizzle spreading from the west. | :26:23. | :26:26.
The wind backing south-westerly and picking-up with top temperatures | :26:27. | :26:35.
In Radnorshire, a good chunk of the day dry. | :26:36. | :26:42.
But turning damp mid to late afternoon. | :26:43. | :26:45.
Some rain and drizzle in the afternoon. | :26:46. | :26:52.
By the way, the Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival starts tomorrow. | :26:53. | :26:58.
Dry for several hours but rain is expected | :26:59. | :27:00.
Tomorrow evening, the rain, mist and drizzle will clear. | :27:01. | :27:05.
Dry and bright for a while but it looks like rain will spread | :27:06. | :27:16.
from during the afternoon with a freshening breeze. | :27:17. | :27:19.
The weekend, not as nice as last weekend. | :27:20. | :27:22.
Some wet, breezy weather and showers, but some drier, | :27:23. | :27:24.
Temperatures not that high but at this time of year the sun | :27:25. | :27:29.
is quite strong so when the sun is out it will feel quite warm. | :27:30. | :27:34.
We'll have a quick update at 8:00pm and more after the BBC | :27:35. | :27:38.
From all of us on the programme, have a good evening. | :27:39. | :27:44. |
