ten business signatories to a letter backing remaining in the EU.

The Chancellor says people need to think very hard

before they risk voting to leave the European Union.

George Osborne was visiting north Wales on the day a group

of leading Welsh business figures backed remaining in the EU.

They include billionaire entrepreneur Sir Terry Matthews.

Wales more competitive argue that Brexit will make

and able to sell more across the world.

The Chancellor rode the Ffestiniog railway to Porthmadog

but polls suggest it is his Remain campaign that

Here in Wales, whichever way you vote, you can see the fact

that you have Conservatives, Welsh Labour, you have the Liberals,

you have the Nationalists, the unions, businesses

which is we are better off in the EU.

Those on the other side of the argument,

say Remain campaigners are being negative.

The government have decided they want us to stay

in the European Union despite pushing very hard for this

referendum, and they are modelling all the impact of coming out

but they are not looking at the positive side of it,

the impact that pulling out could have on exporters.

We want to export across the rest of the world to countries

with which we don't currently have trade deals.

Some of the biggest employers in Wales, including major exporters,

Airbus, which has 6,000 employees here, has written

to them outlining the benefits of EU membership.

With 2,200 staff, British Gas is backing the EU.

Ford with its 1,900 workers also wants to remain.

Leave has the backing of the boss of JCB and a major base in Wrexham.

Professor Patrick Minford wants to leave the EU and

would mostly eliminate manufacturing in favour of design and high-tech.

The whole point about the EU is, it is protectionist.

I don't think Wales' industry needs protection,

It is high-tech in many cases, the car industry exports

more than half its output outside the EU.

It has great products. It has nothing to fear from competition.

The boss of the global brand, JoJo Mamam Bebe,

which has its HQ in Newport, is one of those who signed

41% of exports from Wales go to the European Union

which is a market of 500 million people.

We're good at producing new, innovative ideas, services and

products which we are, at the moment, selling to the world very

well, so why should we restrict

our economic growth by this move backwards?

Most business surveys suggest that firms are largely in favour
