Stephen Crabb is about to discover if he is still in the race to be the | :00:00. | :00:18.
next Prime Minister. I am live at Westminster as the Tory MPs get | :00:19. | :00:19.
their leadership result. It is kind of difficult | :00:20. | :00:33.
to get your head around, We're in a pub to find out what's | :00:34. | :00:36.
next for Ukip in Wales now How scientists here make | :00:37. | :00:44.
a breakthrough which could revolutionise how prostate | :00:45. | :00:47.
cancer is treated. Good evening from Lyon, | :00:48. | :00:50.
where Wales are counting down to their historic semifinal | :00:51. | :00:52.
against Portugal tomorrow. But the journey may not be easy | :00:53. | :00:54.
for fans, with French air traffic Back home, we've been | :00:55. | :00:57.
to Joe Allen's old school in Pembrokeshire, | :00:58. | :01:04.
where Wales' success And Chris Coleman says whatever | :01:05. | :01:05.
happens, the team can deliver more The experience they are | :01:06. | :01:11.
going to have to get together in the next two, | :01:12. | :01:20.
four, six years, long after I am here most of these players will be | :01:21. | :01:23.
here and there is success The votes are being counted | :01:24. | :01:26.
in the first round of the contest to choose a new leader | :01:27. | :01:38.
of the Conservative Party Stephen Crabb is one of five | :01:39. | :01:40.
candidates in the race The Home Secretary Theresa May | :01:41. | :01:44.
is seen as the frontrunner. Of the 11 Tory MPs in Wales, | :01:45. | :01:55.
five are backing Mr Crabb, three Mrs May and one | :01:56. | :01:58.
is supporting Michael Gove, The candidate who finishes | :01:59. | :02:00.
last today is eliminated Live to Westminster now | :02:01. | :02:09.
for the latest with our parliamentary correspondent, | :02:10. | :02:12.
David Cornock. What is the latest? I can now update | :02:13. | :02:26.
you with the figures. Theresa May topped the poll. Andrea Leadsome | :02:27. | :02:36.
came second with 66. Michael Gove, the Justice Secretary, came third. | :02:37. | :02:43.
Stephen Crabb got 34 votes and Liam Fox, the former Defence Secretary, | :02:44. | :02:52.
got 16 and he is now eliminated. I am now joined by Craig Williams from | :02:53. | :02:55.
Cardiff North and Chris Davies from Brecon and Radnorshire. What do you | :02:56. | :03:02.
make of the result? It is exactly as we expected. It is nice to see an | :03:03. | :03:05.
opinion poll that was right for a change. That was where we expected | :03:06. | :03:14.
him to be. When I spoke to Theresa May, I could see that she had all | :03:15. | :03:20.
the numbers she needed. I decided today to support Michael Gove. Craig | :03:21. | :03:28.
Williams, Stephen Crabb got 34 votes, fourth place, will he now | :03:29. | :03:32.
pull out? I cannot say that for him. It is a good result for him today. I | :03:33. | :03:43.
think it is more than were publicly declared. We will be meeting shortly | :03:44. | :03:47.
and talking through the options. Liam Fox will now drop out. And | :03:48. | :03:51.
there will be another ballot on Thursday. But I am pleased. Stephen | :03:52. | :03:59.
Stephen Crabb has done himself no harm. But he has not got the | :04:00. | :04:05.
experience and he is 130 votes shy of Theresa May. He is in charge of | :04:06. | :04:10.
the Department for Work and Pensions. It is the biggest budget. | :04:11. | :04:15.
It is equivalent of Portugal 's GDP. It is a massive depart and add not | :04:16. | :04:21.
just that, he has had that vision of unity and opportunity that went very | :04:22. | :04:24.
well anyhow stings. He really delivered and he has opened a debate | :04:25. | :04:29.
about one nation conservatism. Whatever the result, he will be a | :04:30. | :04:34.
main figure in the government. It looks like our next Prime Minister | :04:35. | :04:40.
will be a woman. It may well be and I'm sure it will be but I think we | :04:41. | :04:44.
had five excellent candidates. I happily see anyone of them... We | :04:45. | :04:50.
know it will not be Liam Fox but I would happily serve under any of the | :04:51. | :04:56.
remaining four. We will let you go back to your respective campaigns. | :04:57. | :04:59.
Thank you very much for joining us. Lots for the defeated candidates to | :05:00. | :05:04.
consider. A reminder that Liam Fox automatically drops out. Stephen | :05:05. | :05:08.
Crabb now has to decide whether he wants to continue in the next | :05:09. | :05:10.
ballot, which will be on Thursday. So that's the Tory party, | :05:11. | :05:12.
lets turn our attention to Ukip. What's the party for now | :05:13. | :05:15.
the referendum is done and dusted? The leader of Ukip at the Assembly | :05:16. | :05:17.
insists there will still be life for the party in Wales | :05:18. | :05:21.
after Nigel Farage in the wake Neil Hamilton says the party's aim | :05:22. | :05:23.
now was to replace the Labour party by representing forgotten voices | :05:24. | :05:27.
and to act as a night watchman But with the UK having | :05:28. | :05:30.
decided to leave the EU, our political editor Nick Servini | :05:31. | :05:33.
asks where next for the party. Whether it is addressing the Welsh | :05:34. | :05:40.
party faithful at conferences or out on the stump addressing the public, | :05:41. | :05:47.
Ukip led by Nigel Farage has created political waves across Wales in | :05:48. | :05:52.
recent years. It culminated in the election of a handful of Ukip | :05:53. | :05:56.
Assembly Members and a power base of sorts in Cardiff Bay. So how will | :05:57. | :06:00.
the party fare without him? Neil Hamilton, himself no lover of Nigel | :06:01. | :06:06.
Farage, believes its role in the New Year is to build on the Brexit vote | :06:07. | :06:13.
to take on Labour. We can take the place of those who have been | :06:14. | :06:17.
forgotten by the metropolitan elite, who are not interested in their | :06:18. | :06:20.
hopes and aspirations, who'd talk down to them and insult them. In | :06:21. | :06:30.
recent months, there has been no mistaking the views of Paul Taylor. | :06:31. | :06:38.
Paul, his wife and one of his regulars told me what they believed | :06:39. | :06:42.
the future for Ukip is after achieving a Brexit. I think it is an | :06:43. | :06:47.
alternative party. A lot of people have obviously voted for Ukip, so it | :06:48. | :06:53.
can still go on. It became much larger than Europe and if the people | :06:54. | :06:59.
had gone that way because of the diminishing value of the Labour | :07:00. | :07:01.
Party in Wales and the north-east, then people have voted at the ballot | :07:02. | :07:07.
box for an alternative party. Can it survive without him? It is the | :07:08. | :07:14.
common sense party. We all talk the same language. It is the common | :07:15. | :07:19.
sense party. Ukip has never lacked confidence that this referendum | :07:20. | :07:21.
result has given it a deep-seated belief that it is in touch with | :07:22. | :07:28.
drinkers in pubs like this in former industrial areas in a way that none | :07:29. | :07:33.
of the other parties are. It may have lost its talismanic leader, it | :07:34. | :07:37.
may have achieved its greatest goal in life, but despite all of this, it | :07:38. | :07:41.
would appear it is far from the end of the road for Ukip. | :07:42. | :07:45.
A man who drowned after a weed-spraying buggy toppled | :07:46. | :07:47.
into a lake at a golf resort in Newport died accidentally, | :07:48. | :07:50.
Oliver Floyd got trapped, after the vehicle, driven | :07:51. | :07:53.
by his father, lost traction and overturned in a lake | :07:54. | :07:55.
on the Celtic Manor's 2010 course last March. | :07:56. | :07:57.
His family says they plan to take legal advice. | :07:58. | :08:07.
A crash which led to the death of a father and his unborn baby son | :08:08. | :08:11.
was 'utter carnage', a jury in Cardiff has heard. | :08:12. | :08:13.
Simon Lewis died in the collision on Lamby Way on New Year's Eve. | :08:14. | :08:16.
His son was delivered three days after the crash but later died. | :08:17. | :08:19.
Kyle Kennedy denies causing death by dangerous driving, | :08:20. | :08:21.
but admits causing death by careless driving. | :08:22. | :08:23.
Hundreds of Wales football fans travelling to France for the Euro | :08:24. | :08:35.
2016 semifinal have been affected by French air traffic | :08:36. | :08:37.
The strike was announced ahead of Wales' game | :08:38. | :08:40.
It's a sentence I never thought I'd say - this is where Wales will play | :08:41. | :08:51.
the semifinal of Euro 2016 tomorrow night. | :08:52. | :08:53.
59,000 fans will be here tomorrow night. | :08:54. | :08:55.
It's a game no-one wants to miss, but tonight fans have been left | :08:56. | :08:58.
panicked, after more than 200 flights to and from France | :08:59. | :09:00.
were cancelled, the result of the latest strike by air | :09:01. | :09:03.
Well, Chris Coleman held his last press conference before the game. | :09:04. | :09:06.
Wales' success is big news in Europe and beyond. | :09:07. | :09:14.
Iwan Griffiths now on preparations 24 hours before the biggest | :09:15. | :09:20.
The stadium was opened in January and now ready to host the Welsh team | :09:21. | :09:41.
in a semifinal of a major footballing tournament for the first | :09:42. | :09:46.
time in history. The heroes who have made the improbable a reality took | :09:47. | :09:50.
sometime this afternoon to savour the moment. They are part of | :09:51. | :09:52.
something special and there is more to come. Everybody thinks that the | :09:53. | :09:57.
end of this tournament is the end of this little journey and it is not. | :09:58. | :10:02.
This bunch of boys, there is more to come. The experience, they are going | :10:03. | :10:07.
to have to get together in the next two, four, six years, long after I | :10:08. | :10:11.
am here, most of these players will be here. There is success in this | :10:12. | :10:18.
team. Portugal are yet to win a match in this competition within 90 | :10:19. | :10:23.
minutes. Wales on the other hand have four wins out of five. But | :10:24. | :10:27.
stepping out and into the pressure of a major semifinal will be a new | :10:28. | :10:32.
experience for Chris Coleman 's men. Portugal have come this far in four | :10:33. | :10:35.
of the previous European tournaments. They have reached the | :10:36. | :10:41.
final just the once. Portugal must win this game. If they win, they go | :10:42. | :10:51.
to the final and if they do not, it is good to be a disaster. At 27 | :10:52. | :10:56.
Celsius, the sun welcomed the fans to Lyon. Handed to have not arrived | :10:57. | :11:03.
have been affected by cancelled flights because of French air | :11:04. | :11:07.
traffic control strikes. Though it appears transport problems or any | :11:08. | :11:11.
other obstacles will not stop supporters from getting to the | :11:12. | :11:16.
party. When we get to the final, it is my granddaughter 's christening. | :11:17. | :11:19.
I have been given special dispensation to come to the final. | :11:20. | :11:26.
We wanted to go to the party, we are actually on the top table, it is | :11:27. | :11:32.
amazing. We will pay for it in the end, back to work, no more leave for | :11:33. | :11:35.
the rest of the year but who cares? Back at the stadium, Ben Davies and | :11:36. | :11:41.
Aaron Ramsey were treading the turf today, knowing they will not play a | :11:42. | :11:45.
part in the semifinal, both suspended. The manager has faith in | :11:46. | :11:48.
the squad, despite this significant loss. Aaron Ramsey 's performances | :11:49. | :11:53.
in this tournament have been incredible. Definitely one of the | :11:54. | :11:58.
best players in the tournament. I am not being biased in my opinion. But | :11:59. | :12:05.
he is. Ben Davies, young defender, he has been absolutely fantastic. So | :12:06. | :12:12.
the boys, whoever they are, to come in, I have no worry about them | :12:13. | :12:16.
whatsoever. I have every confidence in all of them. They have got to go | :12:17. | :12:21.
and enjoy the occasion. Between Wales and a date in Paris on Sunday | :12:22. | :12:26.
night stand the talents of Cristiano Ronaldo. Up against him, a Real | :12:27. | :12:30.
Madrid team-mate in Gareth Bale. He says the game is more than a duel | :12:31. | :12:36.
between the stars. A win for Wales tomorrow and I am sure that they | :12:37. | :12:39.
will be plenty of celebrations here, but it is unlikely we will see the | :12:40. | :12:42.
players' children joining them on the field. | :12:43. | :12:45.
We've seen Gareth Bale chase his daughter after previous | :12:46. | :12:47.
games, other children taking penalties after the games. | :12:48. | :12:49.
A spokesperson for the tournament said, "It is a European Championship | :12:50. | :12:53.
Wales' football team have been given the royal seal of approval | :12:54. | :13:05.
During a visit to Criccieth, he was asked if he had a message | :13:06. | :13:09.
Any message for the Welsh football team tomorrow night, sir? | :13:10. | :13:14.
I am sure they have got a very good chance. | :13:15. | :13:28.
The king of the commentary box now. I bet you never thought you would be | :13:29. | :13:33.
commentating on Wales at the business end of a major tournament. | :13:34. | :13:38.
When the squad arrived in France, people said, how far could they go | :13:39. | :13:43.
and I really did not know? I wondered whether they would be out | :13:44. | :13:45.
at the group stage but nobody could expect this. Other than maybe the | :13:46. | :13:52.
players themselves. Let's have a quick word about Portugal. They have | :13:53. | :13:55.
reached at least the quarterfinal stages in each of the last five | :13:56. | :14:01.
tournaments. A big threat? They are a big threat. When you have | :14:02. | :14:04.
Cristiano Ronaldo in your side, you must be a big threat. It is quite | :14:05. | :14:09.
interesting, they have not won a game yet in 90 minutes. But they | :14:10. | :14:14.
have found a way and their coach was saying, I would rather win ugly than | :14:15. | :14:17.
not win at all. They are still there. We know that Aaron Ramsey and | :14:18. | :14:22.
Ben Davies are both suspended. What are the options available to Chris | :14:23. | :14:26.
Coleman? Aaron Ramsey is a massive loss. He is one of the four Welsh | :14:27. | :14:30.
players in the French newspaper team of the tournament. Arguably Wales' | :14:31. | :14:36.
best player. Andy King, Johnny Williams, they could go in there. | :14:37. | :14:40.
The defensive side, then Davis' absence causes a problem. James | :14:41. | :14:45.
Collins would be the obvious straight swap. Maybe Chris Gunter | :14:46. | :14:51.
may move to centre half and Jazz Richards at right wingback. Give as | :14:52. | :14:59.
a prediction. The more you are with this squad, the more they feel -- | :15:00. | :15:04.
you feel that they have it in them to do some ridiculous. Why stop now? | :15:05. | :15:10.
Thank you very much indeed. If you want to relive the journey so far, | :15:11. | :15:15.
there is a special programme after this programme on BBC One Wales | :15:16. | :15:17.
tonight. More from us tomorrow. Tales from the museum for a future | :15:18. | :15:31.
generation but do youngsters in care get the start in life they deserve? | :15:32. | :15:34.
The weather's looking good there in Lyon and not bad back home, | :15:35. | :15:37.
One man dies from prostate cancer every hour in the UK. | :15:38. | :15:46.
But scientists from Wales say they've made a breakthrough | :15:47. | :15:48.
which could revolutionise how the disease is treated. | :15:49. | :15:50.
Researchers at Swansea University have developed a way | :15:51. | :15:52.
of targeting cancer cells, using a harmless strain | :15:53. | :15:54.
It's been proven to shrink the tumours and could pave the way | :15:55. | :15:57.
for a new generation of cancer treatments. | :15:58. | :15:59.
One in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. | :16:00. | :16:12.
Robert Taylor from Ammanford was diagnosed with the | :16:13. | :16:14.
I worked for the Tenovus cancer charity for 13 years. | :16:15. | :16:21.
I should have known that once you reach a certain age, | :16:22. | :16:24.
Now, scientists believe they have developed a better way | :16:25. | :16:37.
We normally associate that with food poisoning but researchers | :16:38. | :16:42.
at Swansea University have modified the bacteria, so it is | :16:43. | :16:44.
They have altered it in other ways too. | :16:45. | :16:55.
It can now deliver a drug, a therapeutic molecule, | :16:56. | :16:57.
Unlike other treatments like chemotherapy, one dose | :16:58. | :16:59.
The salmonella actively growing and multiplying within the tumour | :17:00. | :17:08.
in the patient and all the while, producing more and more of these | :17:09. | :17:11.
therapeutic molecules, so yes, a single dose of the bacteria | :17:12. | :17:13.
to initiate the treatment should be sufficient. | :17:14. | :17:24.
The cancer cells have no natural defence against this modified strain | :17:25. | :17:26.
of salmonella bacteria and once those cancer cells are attacked, | :17:27. | :17:29.
they are starved of nutrients, so they don't grow. | :17:30. | :17:31.
Meanwhile, the bacteria starts producing and releasing | :17:32. | :17:33.
What makes this treatment different is that unlike chemo | :17:34. | :17:40.
and radiotherapy, it targets only the tumour, leaving | :17:41. | :17:41.
I do believe that this research is a game changer. | :17:42. | :17:55.
Given that therapies that currently exist are very toxic and actually | :17:56. | :17:58.
people can become quite resistant to it as well, | :17:59. | :18:00.
we feel that this could potentially change the whole way that cancer | :18:01. | :18:03.
It is such a novel way of treating the disease that Cancer Research UK | :18:04. | :18:14.
has awarded the team ?200,000 of funding to develop the next phase | :18:15. | :18:16.
The one thing that is really exciting about this research is that | :18:17. | :18:23.
if it is shown to be successful in preclinical testing, | :18:24. | :18:25.
it could be implied to multiple types of cancer, not only prostate | :18:26. | :18:28.
Using cultured cancer cells in the lab, scientists have proved | :18:29. | :18:38.
that prostate tumours shrink when they are exposed to this | :18:39. | :18:41.
modified strain of salmonella bacteria. | :18:42. | :18:42.
They will be expanding that research in the months to come | :18:43. | :18:45.
but say their work could pave the way for a new generation | :18:46. | :18:48.
Children in care still face too many barriers, according to a report | :18:49. | :18:58.
by the schools inspectorate, Estyn. | :18:59. | :19:00.
Official statistics show that nearly half of children who are looked | :19:01. | :19:02.
after by a local authority, are not in education, training | :19:03. | :19:05.
This compares with around 5% of other children. | :19:06. | :19:08.
The report does acknowledge schools and local authorities across Wales | :19:09. | :19:11.
are taking action to help these young people fulfil their potential. | :19:12. | :19:13.
Sarah Hibbard's been to a summer school run by Cardiff University. | :19:14. | :19:34.
My name is Dan, I am 16, I have been in care for two years. I have been | :19:35. | :19:41.
in foster care for the past six years. I have been in the care | :19:42. | :19:47.
system since 2012. We don't have the parental support that most families | :19:48. | :19:51.
have. We just end up being moved into a stranger 's house, someone we | :19:52. | :20:01.
have no idea who it is, and that could cause some emotional | :20:02. | :20:05.
breakdown. I did not think that any good was going to come from it. I | :20:06. | :20:08.
did not think anything good whatsoever about it. I thought it | :20:09. | :20:12.
was a bad thing, being in foster care was bad, you would not get | :20:13. | :20:19.
anywhere. It would have a negative effect on other people, they would | :20:20. | :20:22.
stereotypically judge you, you are a bad kid and you will not get | :20:23. | :20:26.
anywhere in life. The future seems insignificant because you are always | :20:27. | :20:32.
stuck in the present with the insecurity of whether we are going | :20:33. | :20:39.
to stay with carers or we are going to be moved to another carer. I was | :20:40. | :20:45.
not the best behaved in school at the start. They were not really | :20:46. | :20:50.
helpful. It was after being put into care, that is when the support | :20:51. | :20:53.
started to come from outside of school as well. Support like this | :20:54. | :20:58.
summer school run by Cardiff University, encouraging looked after | :20:59. | :21:01.
children to aspire to go into further education. After the trials | :21:02. | :21:06.
of their childhood, Liam and Daniel both have their sights set on | :21:07. | :21:11.
University, ready and is already studying for a degree. I wanted to | :21:12. | :21:19.
be someone that other children in foster care can look up to and say, | :21:20. | :21:23.
I want to do what he did, go to university, do that. | :21:24. | :21:25.
Back to the football and Wales is gearing up for the semifinal | :21:26. | :21:28.
For those who haven't made the trip to Lyon, | :21:29. | :21:31.
there are plenty of ways to enjoy the game here. | :21:32. | :21:34.
Matthew Richards reports on how we'll be watching. | :21:35. | :21:47.
In the heart of the capital, there is a corner of Portugal. This week, | :21:48. | :21:54.
football is all the staff and customers can think about. Amazing | :21:55. | :21:59.
country and amazing people and I wish all the best to Wales and | :22:00. | :22:03.
Portugal. I love to see Portugal win for my heart but if we lose, I will | :22:04. | :22:09.
likely Welsh to go to the final and win. I hope Ronaldo scores tomorrow | :22:10. | :22:15.
and we will be proud of him. We will always be happy regardless of the | :22:16. | :22:20.
result. I was born in Portugal but at the same time, Wales has been my | :22:21. | :22:21.
home. Wrexham is home to around 1,500 | :22:22. | :22:25.
Portuguese and while this cultural group seeks to bring both | :22:26. | :22:27.
nationalities together tomorrow My husband will support Wales. I | :22:28. | :22:35.
will support Portugal. My daughter says that she will be in the middle. | :22:36. | :22:40.
To see both countries playing together, it should be a very | :22:41. | :22:45.
positive atmosphere. The Portuguese we spoke to will be cheering on | :22:46. | :22:50.
their team but they will be enjoying the game tomorrow night in a low-key | :22:51. | :22:53.
fashion. If Wales should win and progressed to the finals, the | :22:54. | :22:56.
celebrations you will be anything but low-key. | :22:57. | :22:59.
part of the celebrations back home are growing in size | :23:00. | :23:03.
Screens are being put up from Rhyl to Rodney Parade. | :23:04. | :23:11.
We have levied a charge and that charge will literally cover the | :23:12. | :23:20.
costs of the screen, the PA, the ticketing, the support that we have | :23:21. | :23:23.
had to bring in for this event and the first event will not make any | :23:24. | :23:25.
money. And with Wales hoping to teach | :23:26. | :23:26.
Portugal a thing or two the schools which produced some of its key | :23:27. | :23:29.
players will also be Ruthin's Neil Taylor paid a visit | :23:30. | :23:31.
to his alma mater before heading to France and Joe Allen's former | :23:32. | :23:35.
headteacher in Pembrokshire has He stood out for Swansea City, he | :23:36. | :23:46.
had the big move to Liverpool, but more importantly for us at the | :23:47. | :23:50.
school, he is representing the country and he is an excellent role | :23:51. | :23:51.
model for all of our pupils. Whichever side you're on, | :23:52. | :23:55.
tomorrow's game has all the right ingredients | :23:56. | :23:57.
for an encounter to savour. The Llangollen International Musical | :23:58. | :23:59.
Eisteddfod, which was set up to promote peace and harmony | :24:00. | :24:01.
in the aftermath of the Second World War, | :24:02. | :24:03.
today celebrates an historic The International Eisteddfod, | :24:04. | :24:05.
which brings together singers and dancers from all over the world, | :24:06. | :24:08.
marked the occasion with a ceremony this afternoon at the site | :24:09. | :24:11.
of the original festival back Here at this Eisteddfod, | :24:12. | :24:13.
people come together from different countries, | :24:14. | :24:25.
different religions, different backgrounds, and using the language | :24:26. | :24:26.
of music, work for peace. And that is something | :24:27. | :24:29.
that is natural to It is a case of the Welsh people | :24:30. | :24:31.
using their natural gifts to bring about at least some degree | :24:32. | :24:35.
of harmony in the world. A lovely day for many of us today, | :24:36. | :24:43.
but the weather's on the turn, Sue. Yes, eventually. After yesterday's | :24:44. | :24:58.
cloud and drizzle, it was lied -- largely fine and dry today. It will | :24:59. | :25:01.
turn cloudy late in the day tomorrow. A ridge of high pressure | :25:02. | :25:08.
building from the south-west to bring just a brief settled spell. A | :25:09. | :25:12.
fine evening to come, plenty of clear spells and maybe Sam low cloud | :25:13. | :25:18.
developing along the south coast. Slightly cooler than last night. | :25:19. | :25:25.
Tomorrow starts fine and dry with decent sunny spells but it will | :25:26. | :25:28.
start to turn a bit cloudy from the West at times later. Maybe just a | :25:29. | :25:36.
few spots of light drizzle. Feeling slightly milder. Temperatures | :25:37. | :25:40.
reaching the high teens. 19 Celsius in Conwy. If you are heading to | :25:41. | :25:46.
Lyon, it is looking fine and dry tomorrow. Staying quite warm well | :25:47. | :25:54.
into the evening. But back home, the high pressure keeping things | :25:55. | :25:57.
settled, starts breaking down later tomorrow with this front making | :25:58. | :26:01.
inroads overnight into Thursday. Tomorrow night should stay dry for | :26:02. | :26:05.
most but increasingly cloudy with a few spots of drizzle starting to | :26:06. | :26:10.
push in from the north and west. Cloud keeping things milder again | :26:11. | :26:14.
overnight. Temperatures in the mid-teens. Thursday night. Dry but | :26:15. | :26:19.
with thicker cloud, a chance of some patchy rain spreading in from the | :26:20. | :26:27.
north and west. Temperatures holding up at 16 Celsius. And once that high | :26:28. | :26:34.
pressure has broken down, low pressure will bring a more | :26:35. | :26:36.
changeable Atlantic influence to the end of the week. Weather systems | :26:37. | :26:42.
pushing in from the west. Settled on Saturday. | :26:43. | :26:49.
A reminder of our top story, Theresa May has topped the first round of | :26:50. | :26:57.
voting by MPs to elect the Conservative Party new leader and | :26:58. | :27:00.
Prime Minister. Stephen Crabb is still in the race to succeed David | :27:01. | :27:05.
Cameron after coming forth. Liam Fox was eliminated after finishing last. | :27:06. | :27:11.
The candidates and their votes cast enough about abroad were as follows, | :27:12. | :27:16.
Stephen Crabb, 34, Doctor Liam Fox, 16, Michael Gove, 48, Andrea | :27:17. | :27:27.
Leadsome, 66, Theresa May, 106 D5. Therefore, Doctor Liam Fox, having | :27:28. | :27:31.
the lowest of votes, has been eliminated from the ballot. | :27:32. | :27:33.
I'll have an update for you here at 8pm and again | :27:34. | :27:36.
From all of us on the programme, good evening. | :27:37. | :27:44. |
