lost our way from those old times and those great ambitions and those | :00:59. | :01:02. | |
And I think Jack and Aggie would have looked at the party right | :01:03. | :01:10. | |
now and would have been horrified that we are not on the pitch, | :01:11. | :01:15. | |
we're not fighting for our people in the way in which we ought to. | :01:16. | :01:19. | |
The town of Pontypridd is named after the bridge that | :01:20. | :01:22. | |
sits over the River Taff and according to his supporters, | :01:23. | :01:25. | |
Mr Smith could also reconnect the party and the electorate. | :01:26. | :01:29. | |
What Owen possesses that Jeremy doesn't is the leadership skills | :01:30. | :01:33. | |
and I think you need that to unify the party, | :01:34. | :01:37. | |
If we have Owen as our leader, we will have somebody | :01:38. | :01:42. | |
who is credible in government but also someone who will take | :01:43. | :01:45. | |
the party in the direction clearly many people, especially the people | :01:46. | :01:49. | |
But in Pontypridd there are also plenty of people who support | :01:50. | :01:55. | |
the current Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. | :01:56. | :01:58. | |
He has done a lot of good things in the last year, | :01:59. | :02:01. | |
in a short period of time and with real opposition | :02:02. | :02:03. | |
You have Owen Smith coming out with anti-austerity | :02:04. | :02:08. | |
