Tonight's headlines: The group representing manufacturers here says

:00:00.:00:08.

there's been a significant drop in confidence since last

:00:09.:00:11.

Do I invest here? Do I move my facilities offshore?

:00:12.:00:16.

Do I reassure some of my supply chain?

:00:17.:00:19.

All of that is in the mix with regard to the uncertainty

:00:20.:00:22.

Also tonight, Cardiff brothel owner Diana Jones is in prison

:00:23.:00:27.

Now police hope to recover the nearly ?4 million she owes.

:00:28.:00:33.

Getting a taste of what a degree course has to offer.

:00:34.:00:37.

But why are pupils from poorer backgrounds here three times less

:00:38.:00:41.

The company behind these plans for the old Sainsbury's site

:00:42.:00:48.

in Newport say they're pulling out, claiming parts of the city

:00:49.:00:51.

The Olympic Opening Ceremony is just a week away.

:00:52.:00:57.

Britain's first taekwondo Olympic Champion.

:00:58.:01:01.

A month since Wales voted to leave the European Union,

:01:02.:01:27.

there's a warning tonight that manufacturers here have seen

:01:28.:01:30.

EEF, the organisation which represents the sector,

:01:31.:01:35.

has told this programme it's concerned Brexit may

:01:36.:01:38.

It comes as Ford, which employs hundreds of workers in Bridgend,

:01:39.:01:44.

Our business correspondent Brian Meechan has the details.

:01:45.:01:50.

M make conveyor belts for businesses

:01:51.:01:53.

It employs 26 people at its Tredegar base.

:01:54.:01:59.

Its boss was in favour of leaving the EU and he says far from Brexit

:02:00.:02:03.

reducing confidence, he is investing in his factory

:02:04.:02:06.

There is a world out there besides Europe

:02:07.:02:11.

and Europe still needs us as a customer.

:02:12.:02:14.

If they want us as a customer, they have got to be able to allow us

:02:15.:02:18.

All this argument that we will lose out, that they will stop selling

:02:19.:02:25.

to us, put tariffs up, it is a two-way street.

:02:26.:02:28.

In my opinion, we have done the right thing.

:02:29.:02:31.

We have had the vote, my argument is to get on with it.

:02:32.:02:36.

But representatives of manufacturers in Wales say Brexit is making

:02:37.:02:40.

companies think twice about investing in property,

:02:41.:02:43.

I think they are concerned about all the uncertainty.

:02:44.:02:48.

We have seen the uncertainty around steel in Wales and there

:02:49.:02:51.

is uncertainty about our access to the single market,

:02:52.:02:54.

Do I invest here? Do I move my facilities offshore?

:02:55.:03:01.

All of that is in the mix with regard to the uncertainty

:03:02.:03:05.

The warning that investment in manufacturing is being put

:03:06.:03:11.

on hold is also being heard from other sectors of the economy.

:03:12.:03:16.

It's clear that the UK is leaving the European Union.

:03:17.:03:20.

What is unclear is what our trading relationships will be

:03:21.:03:24.

like with Europe and the rest of the world after Brexit.

:03:25.:03:28.

Manufacturing is a significant part of the Welsh economy,

:03:29.:03:31.

accounting for 18% of the country's output.

:03:32.:03:34.

In terms of the UK, it makes up only 6% output.

:03:35.:03:38.

The number of jobs increased by 17% between 2010 and 2016.

:03:39.:03:46.

Ford is one of the biggest manufacturers in Wales.

:03:47.:03:50.

It has just invested ?118 million in its Bridgend plant,

:03:51.:03:54.

There are concerns the new facility only allows it to make a third

:03:55.:04:00.

of the number of engines it currently produces

:04:01.:04:03.

and other work at the site is coming to an end.

:04:04.:04:06.

Ford says it has to consider all its options following

:04:07.:04:09.

As we think about the magnitude of the impact, we are going to have

:04:10.:04:15.

to look at all parts of the business to make sure we stay on track

:04:16.:04:18.

How manufacturing manages Brexit will have a major impact

:04:19.:04:26.

on how well the Welsh economy as a whole deals with it.

:04:27.:04:30.

What else are manufacturers calling for? The organisation has said that

:04:31.:04:45.

ultimately, what would be good is to get a good message from the UK

:04:46.:04:49.

Government about supporting manufacturing and the project they

:04:50.:04:53.

have picked out is the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon. They have said if they

:04:54.:04:57.

give that the go-ahead, it will send a huge message all across the world

:04:58.:05:02.

that Britain and Wales is open for business. It is an expensive project

:05:03.:05:09.

but they have said it will have a huge manufacturing impact. We have

:05:10.:05:12.

seen this from other sectors as well. For example, construction

:05:13.:05:17.

would like to see other investment coming from the UK and Welsh

:05:18.:05:22.

government on issues such as electrification of the South Wales

:05:23.:05:26.

rail lines, the Metro and other projects that could be kick-started

:05:27.:05:31.

if private investment is leaving the economy, public investment can go

:05:32.:05:32.

into it. The UK Government has been

:05:33.:05:35.

asked to give urgent clarification that a delay

:05:36.:05:38.

in the new Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station in Somerset

:05:39.:05:40.

won't impact the proposed Wylfa Newydd development

:05:41.:05:43.

on Anglesey. UK ministers say they'll decide

:05:44.:05:46.

in September whether to go ahead with Hinkley Point,

:05:47.:05:49.

which is opposite Barry The Welsh Government says it's

:05:50.:05:51.

important the delay doesn't damage An 86-year-old man who was hit

:05:52.:05:55.

by a train in Cardiff yesterday has been arrested in connection

:05:56.:06:02.

with the alleged murder of his wife. Angus Mayer was struck by a train

:06:03.:06:06.

at Cardiff Central Station. Hours later, the body of 85-year-old

:06:07.:06:09.

Margaret Mayer was found Mr Mayer, who was treated

:06:10.:06:15.

in hospital for minor leg injuries, A six-year-old girl has been praised

:06:16.:06:19.

for saving the life of her mother and two brothers in a house fire

:06:20.:06:26.

in Alltwen near Kelsey Davies' four-year-old brother

:06:27.:06:28.

Jac died at the scene. But in the early hours

:06:29.:06:33.

of the morning, she managed to carry her baby brother outside

:06:34.:06:36.

before returning to help her mother Police say they still hope

:06:37.:06:39.

to reclaim nearly ?4 million from a former brothel boss

:06:40.:06:47.

who was finally jailed after being Diana Jones ran brothels

:06:48.:06:50.

in Cardiff and Swindon. When she fled to Cyprus she became

:06:51.:06:56.

one of the biggest targets for officers tasked

:06:57.:06:58.

with seizing assets. For the last seven years,

:06:59.:07:02.

Diana Jones has been living in northern Cyprus,

:07:03.:07:10.

on the run from police. The BBC's Week In Week Out

:07:11.:07:14.

programme filmed her in 2008 as she was sentenced for running

:07:15.:07:17.

a multi-million pound vice ring. The following year she was ordered

:07:18.:07:21.

to pay ?2.6 million and given By then she'd already

:07:22.:07:25.

fled the country. She's now in prison

:07:26.:07:31.

in Staffordshire, arrested when she arrived back in the UK,

:07:32.:07:33.

and serving a four-year sentence for failing

:07:34.:07:37.

to pay her confiscation order. The team charged with recovering

:07:38.:07:39.

that money say that, with interest, the total now stands at

:07:40.:07:43.

more than ?3.7 million. If the order is not met, it will

:07:44.:07:58.

stay with her for life. The confiscation enforcement team will

:07:59.:08:02.

monitor, review and carry out investigations on a fairly regular

:08:03.:08:06.

basis to ascertain whether she actually has any assets and at that

:08:07.:08:10.

point will get those assets removed from her. So you will never stop

:08:11.:08:18.

chasing her? No. She is one of our upper end cases. She is one of the

:08:19.:08:22.

top four or five investigations we have currently going.

:08:23.:08:24.

Police said Diana Jones' brothels turned over nearly

:08:25.:08:26.

?3 million in six years - a sum that funded her double life

:08:27.:08:29.

Investigators also believe it allowed her a lavish

:08:30.:08:32.

lifestyle in northern Cyprus, where there's no formal extradition

:08:33.:08:34.

They'll now visit her at her new home in prison

:08:35.:08:39.

to establish what, if anything, she can pay back.

:08:40.:08:43.

Research has shown that young people from poorer backgrounds in Wales

:08:44.:08:47.

are almost three times less likely to go to university than students

:08:48.:08:51.

It's promoted the educational charity and think tank

:08:52.:08:56.

The Sutton Trust to say it's profoundly concerned that talented

:08:57.:08:59.

Welsh pupils are missing out and that there's still a deep divide

:09:00.:09:02.

Could these be the healthcare professionals of the future?

:09:03.:09:12.

Here at Swansea University, a group of Year 12 pupils

:09:13.:09:16.

are getting a taster session of what a nursing course

:09:17.:09:19.

would involve at higher education level.

:09:20.:09:21.

The scheme is aimed at young people like 17-year-old

:09:22.:09:23.

Teigan Blackmore from Maesteg, who may not have thought that

:09:24.:09:26.

I wasn't sure if I should just go from college

:09:27.:09:30.

None of my family have gone to university so,

:09:31.:09:37.

college and it's ended there, so family tradition more than likely.

:09:38.:09:41.

More than 60 students from across south Wales are taking part

:09:42.:09:45.

It's about widening access to higher education and that's important

:09:46.:09:52.

because, at the moment, there's talent out there that

:09:53.:09:57.

One of the most underrepresented groups is white working-class boys.

:09:58.:10:03.

Young people who have been in the care system

:10:04.:10:07.

are massively underrepresented in the higher education system.

:10:08.:10:11.

Young people from certain geographical areas

:10:12.:10:15.

It's unfair that certain parts of the population are not

:10:16.:10:20.

accessing university, not through a lack of talent

:10:21.:10:22.

but through a lack of access to opportunities.

:10:23.:10:24.

According to UCAS, the body that manages university

:10:25.:10:28.

applications, last year, only 17% of Welsh students from the most

:10:29.:10:30.

disadvantaged backgrounds went to university.

:10:31.:10:34.

In contrast, 44% of students from the most well-off backgrounds

:10:35.:10:37.

did go on to higher education, so in Wales you're almost

:10:38.:10:40.

three times less likely to go to university

:10:41.:10:42.

That gap means that thousands of young people

:10:43.:10:49.

from poorer homes may not be fulfilling their potential.

:10:50.:10:52.

The educational charity The Sutton Trust believes

:10:53.:10:55.

There is still a deep divide in education in Wales

:10:56.:11:01.

and what we are finding is that we are basically

:11:02.:11:04.

wasting a lot of the talent across the country.

:11:05.:11:08.

We really need to have much smaller gaps because Wales is basically

:11:09.:11:11.

missing out on a huge amount of talent.

:11:12.:11:15.

The Sutton Trust says schools could do more to raise pupils'

:11:16.:11:20.

aspirations and universities should reach out to those

:11:21.:11:23.

Over the last five years there has been progress

:11:24.:11:29.

but there are still young people who face barriers when it comes

:11:30.:11:32.

to progressing to higher education and there's concern that talented

:11:33.:11:35.

students might be hitting a dead end.

:11:36.:11:39.

There's plenty more still to come before seven o'clock:

:11:40.:11:42.

Keeping the convenience of their public loos.

:11:43.:11:45.

We'll be hearing from the residents of a village holding

:11:46.:11:48.

And the weather's gone down the pan recently

:11:49.:11:53.

but there is some sunshine in the forecast for the weekend.

:11:54.:12:02.

The National Eisteddfod, the annual festival celebrating

:12:03.:12:06.

the Welsh language and culture, begins tonight in Abergavenny.

:12:07.:12:10.

It's more than 100 years since the event was last held

:12:11.:12:13.

in the Monmouthshire town and our reporter

:12:14.:12:15.

Good evening. Welcome to the Maes. The field playing host to this

:12:16.:12:34.

year's National Eisteddfod. No iconic pink tent this year, it is a

:12:35.:12:39.

new look main arena for the main competitions and tonight's opening

:12:40.:12:43.

ceremony. The council is clearly feel this is well worth the money.

:12:44.:12:47.

They are putting an extra ?100,000 in to make sure it goes ahead but I

:12:48.:12:52.

wonder whether local people feel the same. I have taken a trip across the

:12:53.:12:54.

county to find out. It Welsh welcome in the hills above

:12:55.:13:04.

Abergavenny but travel across Monmouthshire and only around 10% of

:13:05.:13:08.

people speak the language here. But those same censors results said this

:13:09.:13:13.

was one of only two areas across Wales recording a small increase in

:13:14.:13:18.

the use of Welsh. In Abergavenny, attitudes towards the Welsh medium

:13:19.:13:21.

primary school have not always been positive. But things are changing.

:13:22.:13:30.

In September 2016, we are going to have 250 for children. These boys go

:13:31.:13:37.

to school here and their sister will soon join them. The family keen to

:13:38.:13:43.

have the Eisteddfod in Abergavenny, a celebration of Welsh, to help

:13:44.:13:48.

secure its future here. You can walk around the town and shots that would

:13:49.:13:51.

not normally have a Welsh display are already on that bandwagon and

:13:52.:13:56.

they are really keen. Waterstones have got a big display of Welsh

:13:57.:14:00.

books in the window which is really important for the children who come

:14:01.:14:02.

to this school because they see Welsh as something that can be seen

:14:03.:14:11.

outside school. I feel I missed out on some of the cultural side of

:14:12.:14:15.

Wales because I did not have access to the language so I wanted to give

:14:16.:14:19.

back to the children. This village is in the heart of the rural county

:14:20.:14:23.

and the local pub is a hotspot of Welsh speakers who helped raise

:14:24.:14:29.

money for the Eisteddfod. I ask people about its use of public

:14:30.:14:36.

money. I think they should be broad-minded and welcome it with

:14:37.:14:41.

open arms. It is a joy to hear people speaking Welsh even though I

:14:42.:14:48.

don't understand it. News of the Eisteddfod did not reach everyone

:14:49.:14:50.

further afield in Monmouth where she goes to sixth form. In the Welsh

:14:51.:14:55.

community it is really well known. It is a really big deal. English

:14:56.:15:00.

copper and saves, it is not as talked about. It is something that

:15:01.:15:07.

needs to be promoted further. My last stop was in Monmouth to ask

:15:08.:15:11.

whether it was a good idea for the council to plug the fundraising gap

:15:12.:15:14.

to make sure the Eisteddfod went ahead at a cost of ?100,000. That

:15:15.:15:21.

remains to be seen. We will see how it goes. You will reserve judgment

:15:22.:15:27.

for now? With all the people coming here to see it, there will be a lot

:15:28.:15:32.

of money for the town as well. I think I will have two reserve

:15:33.:15:36.

judgment until I have actually been to and Eisteddfod. The tents are,

:15:37.:15:43.

the stage is set. The challenge for the organisers now is selling it to

:15:44.:15:47.

other parts of the county. Seven days worth of events planned

:15:48.:15:53.

here over the next week. How will we know whether any of it has been a

:15:54.:15:57.

success? There is the financial measurement. In 2008, Cardiff

:15:58.:16:03.

Council said it contributed anything up to ?8 million to the local

:16:04.:16:08.

economy. The other measure, perhaps more importantly, is whether all

:16:09.:16:13.

this helps preserve and promote the Welsh language for future

:16:14.:16:15.

generations. We won't know whether it has been successful on that front

:16:16.:16:17.

for some time yet. That's the claim of a developer

:16:18.:16:20.

pulling out of a ?60 million project Stephen Fear says he's scrapping

:16:21.:16:26.

the planned 600 student flats because of vandalism,

:16:27.:16:30.

theft and assaults on his staff. Hundreds of high-end, high-rise

:16:31.:16:32.

student flats on the River Usk, But now it looks like this is how

:16:33.:16:41.

it's going to remain. Gutted by suspected arsonists

:16:42.:16:47.

and plagued by theft and vandalism, This happened last night,

:16:48.:16:49.

so somebody has got in since the fire and bust

:16:50.:16:57.

the door off its hinges. Meeting the Fire Service

:16:58.:17:02.

today and after putting millions into the site,

:17:03.:17:07.

they say an assault on their long-serving security guard

:17:08.:17:09.

was the final straw. they threatened to burn his caravan

:17:10.:17:12.

down and burn the building down. It appears to us, in this part

:17:13.:17:17.

of Newport anyway, it's lawless. There's drug-taking going

:17:18.:17:20.

on on public footpaths, there's drug dealing

:17:21.:17:24.

going on on public footpaths. It's a great shame because Newport

:17:25.:17:27.

has such great potential. It's the reason we invested

:17:28.:17:31.

here in the first place. Stephen paid to clear up needles

:17:32.:17:34.

from a public path behind his site. It's clear those unfortunate

:17:35.:17:38.

enough not to have a home Gwent Police say there are patrols

:17:39.:17:42.

here and they've spoken But while impressed

:17:43.:17:47.

with Newport Council, Stephen is critical of the environment body

:17:48.:17:52.

Natural Resources Wales. His site is part of

:17:53.:17:56.

a wider flood scheme. He says he's never seen

:17:57.:17:58.

an organisation work Something needs to be shaken up

:17:59.:18:02.

and they need to get on with it. Basically, this should

:18:03.:18:09.

have been dealt with, our agreement with them

:18:10.:18:11.

should have been sorted out Newport Council are trying

:18:12.:18:13.

to address Stephen Fear's concerns. Natural Resources Wales declined

:18:14.:18:20.

an interview but said the size and complexity of the scheme means

:18:21.:18:23.

we've been working with the company It was hoped this scheme

:18:24.:18:27.

would attract wealthy international students to the city,

:18:28.:18:33.

willing to spend in the bars, But because of vandalism

:18:34.:18:36.

and frustration with other organisations, it looks

:18:37.:18:41.

like the development won't go ahead. Tonight's sport, and the Olympics

:18:42.:18:50.

are just around the corner, Tomos. The Opening Ceremony

:18:51.:18:54.

is a week tonight, Jen. One of the favourites for gold

:18:55.:18:57.

in Rio is Wales' Jade Jones. The athlete from Flint became

:18:58.:19:01.

Britain's first Olympic taekwondo champion when she won

:19:02.:19:04.

gold in London. Four years after her success,

:19:05.:19:07.

she says she's proud to inspire Final rehearsals ahead

:19:08.:19:10.

of the Opening Ceremony. After the celebrations

:19:11.:19:17.

at Rio's Maracana Stadium next Friday, the athletes

:19:18.:19:20.

take centre stage. Jade Jones is aiming

:19:21.:19:24.

for more of this. A teenage kicking superstar from

:19:25.:19:28.

north Wales is the Olympic champion. In 2012, she was transformed

:19:29.:19:34.

from a relative unknown Life hasn't been the same

:19:35.:19:38.

since and she says she's proud to be a role model

:19:39.:19:43.

to young female athletes. I have seen a difference just

:19:44.:19:47.

from London, how many girls get into taekwondo because they have

:19:48.:19:50.

watched it on the TV. I think there were only four or five

:19:51.:19:53.

girls in the whole club. Now there are loads more girls

:19:54.:20:00.

and it's just amazing to see that. Sport does not just have

:20:01.:20:04.

to be for boys. Four years ago her achievements were

:20:05.:20:07.

commemorated in her hometown, Flint. The local leisure centre,

:20:08.:20:14.

where she trained as a child, On Twitter she says she kicks people

:20:15.:20:17.

in the head for a living She admits her motivation has been

:20:18.:20:32.

up and down since the London Games but she's peaking

:20:33.:20:38.

at just the right time. We train for four years and it all

:20:39.:20:42.

comes down to this one day. One mistake, you just

:20:43.:20:46.

get kicked in the head or make one mistake,

:20:47.:20:48.

your Games is over. That is the exciting thing

:20:49.:20:51.

but also it's daunting as well You have got to be the best you

:20:52.:20:53.

have ever been on that one day. The Headhunter,

:20:54.:21:02.

hungry for more success. Football, and Swansea City striker

:21:03.:21:10.

Bafetimbi Gomis has moved to Marseille on loan

:21:11.:21:14.

for next season. He scored seven goals in 35

:21:15.:21:17.

appearances in the last campaign and is the third forward to leave

:21:18.:21:21.

the Swans this summer. And Wales midfielder Andy King has

:21:22.:21:39.

agreed a four-year contract with Leicester City. George Williams has

:21:40.:21:45.

joined MK Dons from Fulham on loan until the end of the season.

:21:46.:21:48.

To New Jersey, and in the second round of the USPGA Championship,

:21:49.:21:51.

Welsh golfer Bradley Dredge is one under par,

:21:52.:21:53.

four shots behind current leader, Jimmy Walker.

:21:54.:21:55.

Glamorgan are playing Essex in their final T20 group game.

:21:56.:22:03.

They secured a home quarterfinal, to be played the week after next,

:22:04.:22:06.

after rain saved them from defeat at Sussex last night.

:22:07.:22:12.

That game live on Radio Wales and online tonight, Jen.

:22:13.:22:18.

Following the EU vote, the residents of a village

:22:19.:22:21.

in North Pembrokeshire are so flushed with the idea

:22:22.:22:24.

of a referendum they've decided to hold a ballot on the future

:22:25.:22:27.

Maenclochog Community Council pays around ?3,000 a year for the small

:22:28.:22:33.

public convenience and is asking people

:22:34.:22:35.

We've had Brexit, now comes another dose of direct democracy,

:22:36.:22:44.

this time over the future of a public toilet.

:22:45.:22:48.

Many community councils provide this service and here in Maenclochog

:22:49.:22:52.

there's concern it's leaving them caught short.

:22:53.:22:56.

With a cost of 3,000 a year to keep these loos running, there's

:22:57.:23:01.

nothing left in the tank to pay for anything else.

:23:02.:23:04.

So in the spirit of community engagement, come August the people

:23:05.:23:07.

of Maenclochog will get to decide if they should go on paying.

:23:08.:23:12.

Here's the official voting form in the Church News and once

:23:13.:23:16.

they have made their decision, they can pop it in the ballot box.

:23:17.:23:21.

I'm told, like many other recent referendums,

:23:22.:23:24.

it's expected this one will be a close run thing.

:23:25.:23:28.

It's quite a difficult one because there are many people

:23:29.:23:32.

who say, "I have never used them because we have toilets at home",

:23:33.:23:36.

and there's the other thing with tourism, some say

:23:37.:23:38.

it's a service we provide for the people.

:23:39.:23:41.

If I had a penny to spend, I'm not sure where I would spend it today.

:23:42.:23:46.

The toilets are a firm favourite with walkers who come to this

:23:47.:23:50.

beautiful part of west Wales and bring in much needed tourism,

:23:51.:23:53.

but businesses say it's not just visitors who benefit.

:23:54.:23:58.

Well, it's part of the village more or less and if the toilets closed,

:23:59.:24:01.

I don't know what people would do because the church in the back has

:24:02.:24:06.

not got any toilets and those down the road have been using the toilets

:24:07.:24:10.

For the visitors who come, it's nice to have a toilet in the village.

:24:11.:24:16.

If it's decided they're worth it, there's talk of a special toilet

:24:17.:24:21.

duty being added on to council tax to bear the brunt of the cost.

:24:22.:24:27.

No chance of it being hot and sunny but some decent

:24:28.:24:36.

This evening will be fine in the north.

:24:37.:24:51.

In the south, cloud and spots of rain will clear.

:24:52.:24:57.

And a cooler, fresher night than recently.

:24:58.:25:04.

Temperatures in some rural spots falling as low as 8 Celsius

:25:05.:25:08.

Here's the picture for 8:00am in the morning.

:25:09.:25:13.

If you're not having a lie in and thinking of popping out

:25:14.:25:16.

to the shops or maybe going for a walk or jog,

:25:17.:25:19.

it will be a pleasant start to the day.

:25:20.:25:22.

Some cloud but some sunshine as well, with only a light breeze.

:25:23.:25:26.

Now a lot of places will stay dry tomorrow but a few showers

:25:27.:25:30.

Hit and miss but if you catch one it could be heavy.

:25:31.:25:37.

Cloud will come and go but most of us should see the sun at times.

:25:38.:25:42.

Highest temperatures in the south-east of 21 Celsius.

:25:43.:25:45.

Elsewhere, a little cooler, but pleasantly warm in the sunshine

:25:46.:25:49.

Tomorrow evening, any showers will fade away,

:25:50.:25:54.

And it will turn cool again, especially in the countryside.

:25:55.:26:00.

On Sunday, more dry weather and some sunshine.

:26:01.:26:03.

During the day, cloud will build up with a few showers but a lot

:26:04.:26:06.

Top temperatures between 16 and 20 Celsius with a west

:26:07.:26:12.

If you're going to the National Eisteddfod over the weekend,

:26:13.:26:21.

most of the time it will be dry, although I wouldn't rule out

:26:22.:26:24.

Ideal for walking around the Maes, but cool at night

:26:25.:26:31.

And then for the start of August next week,

:26:32.:26:35.

no sign of any hot and sunny weather on the horizon.

:26:36.:26:38.

The middle of the week looks unsettled with low pressure bringing

:26:39.:26:44.

An investigation by Police Scotland has revealed a huge level of abuse

:26:45.:26:58.

of children from as young as three up tp teenagers.

:26:59.:27:01.

Tens of millions of images of children being sexually abused

:27:02.:27:05.

The police operation has led to 77 arrests with officers saying they've

:27:06.:27:11.

identified more than 500 victims or potential victims

:27:12.:27:15.

And a month since the vote to leave the European Union,

:27:16.:27:22.

there's a warning tonight that manufacturers here have seen

:27:23.:27:25.

EEF, the organisation which represents the sector,

:27:26.:27:30.

has told this programme it's concerned Brexit may affect

:27:31.:27:33.

I'm back at 8pm and again after the 10pm news.

:27:34.:27:41.
