Good evening. Thankfully over the next few days temperatures are not

that likely to be too close to the 14 degrees we saw across North West

Scotland today under grey and gloomy skies. But more akin to the 23

degrees we saw in Northolt under fairly sunny conditions. Over the

next few days we have a south-easterly drift that. Pushes

away the cloud we've seen across Scotland and Northern Ireland a bit.

But we have cloud heading our way. It's not clear blue skies by any

means. Tonight, it won't be clear skies everywhere. We will see a bit

more cloud develop across central and eastern parts of England.

Turning misty in a few spots. That cloud across western Scotland and

Northern Ireland and in between where we see the clearer skies, even

a few mist and fog patches here and there. Dropping temperatures in the

countryside, but for most, a milder start to the morning compared with

this morning. Still the cloud across northern and western Scotland,

Northern Ireland to start the day. That cloud is continuing to thin and

break from the south-east. A brighter day in store. Warmer one as

well. There could be more in the way of low cloud to the north-east of

Scotland and more in the way of grey skies compared with today across

north-east England, through the Midlands, east Wales and central and

southern England. With that, on top of the hills, a bit of hill fog

possible. There will be some fog to lower level sites particularly

across Lincolnshire and East Anglia too. The low cloud struggles to lift

through the morning. If you start with grey skies, the skies brighten

up. If you start with blue skies overhead, cloud develops through the

afternoon. But it's largely dry and a bit warmer than today as well We

could see temperatures close to around 24 or 25 degrees.

High pressure is in charge at the moment. It stays into Thursday

keeping things dry. Pushing away this area of low pressure which is

trying to creep towards Ireland We have a weather front which will get

close through the latter stages of Thursday, bringing patchy rain. One

or two showers across Scotland. Elsewhere the cloud could be thick

enough in the mornings and overnight for some drizzle. A lot of dry and

bright weather. Morning cloud breaking up and temperatures getting

up to around 22 or 23 degrees. End of the week, a bit more uncertainty

involved. This weather front could be pushing down from the north. This

area of low pressure getting close to the South West. But high pressure

dominates. Most of you stay largely dry.
