Tonight - Claiming the lives of teaching staff. | :00:00. | :00:08.
In five years, seven teaching staff from this region have died from | :00:09. | :00:15.
It's just frightening to thhnk children as well as teachers | :00:16. | :00:20.
and teaching staff are being exposed to asbestos. | :00:21. | :00:24.
Plus, MPs at Westminster debate plans to end children's | :00:25. | :00:29.
Plus, as Loughborough's children's festival flies into town yot can | :00:30. | :00:37.
probably guess in which book is proving to be a star attraction. | :00:38. | :00:41.
We will be talking to the Great British Bake Off contestant, | :00:42. | :00:48.
Welcome to Wednesday's programme with Anne Davies and me, | :00:49. | :01:02.
First tonight, figures obtahned by East Midlands Today show that | :01:03. | :01:07.
seven teaching staff in this region have died from an asbestos-related | :01:08. | :01:11.
Asbestos can still be found in the majority of our schools | :01:12. | :01:16.
and some of our councils ard now paying out damages to staff exposed | :01:17. | :01:20.
The government says it's spdnding billions on improving | :01:21. | :01:25.
school buildings to help manage asbestos safely. | :01:26. | :01:28.
They kept telling her, what is your pain level out of ten? | :01:29. | :01:35.
Bromley Kniveton's wife Jenny, a retired teacher, died aged 72 | :01:36. | :01:38.
from the asbestos-related ltng cancer from Mesothelioma, | :01:39. | :01:41.
The diagnosis had come three years earlier. | :01:42. | :01:45.
We'd gone from being OK, to suddenly we weren't. | :01:46. | :01:57.
Mr Kniveton says Jenny handled broken asbestos ceiling tilds | :01:58. | :01:59.
She worked for two decades at the former Glaisdale | :02:00. | :02:05.
Comprehensive School in in Nottingham. | :02:06. | :02:06.
He said the City Council made an out-of-court payment to her. | :02:07. | :02:10.
Asbestos was used as a building material for decades. | :02:11. | :02:15.
The walls are plastic covered asbestos. | :02:16. | :02:16.
It is in the vast majority of our older schools stock. | :02:17. | :02:21.
But asbestos is still causing concern. | :02:22. | :02:26.
Leicestershire County Counchl says they have paid out nearly | :02:27. | :02:28.
?30,000 over exposure to asbestos since 2010. | :02:29. | :02:32.
For Nottinghamshire County Council, it is nearly ?200,000. | :02:33. | :02:37.
Derbyshire County Council s`ys it has paid damages of ?400,000. | :02:38. | :02:44.
The Derbyshire figures were uncovered by an asbestos | :02:45. | :02:48.
in schools campaigner from London who says the public | :02:49. | :02:50.
Lucie Stepehens' mother, Sud, a retired teacher from Devon died | :02:51. | :02:56.
I think if we treat people like adults and give people | :02:57. | :03:00.
the chance to protect themselves and their childrdn, | :03:01. | :03:02.
and for teachers to be safe we probably can make some | :03:03. | :03:04.
But hiding it away like a dirty little secret | :03:05. | :03:08.
This asbestos support worker in Chesterfield says her te`m has | :03:09. | :03:12.
helped around ten teachers in the region who have developed | :03:13. | :03:15.
They are now promoting their own interactive computer model | :03:16. | :03:21.
75% of schools contain asbestos and it is just frightening | :03:22. | :03:30.
to think that children, as well as teachers | :03:31. | :03:34.
and teaching staff, are being exposed to asbestos. | :03:35. | :03:38.
Jenny's old school is now the self-governing | :03:39. | :03:39.
Bluecoat Beechdale Academy which has its own asbestos | :03:40. | :03:43.
The academy says some asbestos was removed in a | :03:44. | :03:47.
controlled way from a heating duct here as recently as August. | :03:48. | :03:52.
But Jenny's husband says the government | :03:53. | :03:54.
is putting off action to take out all asbestos from all schools | :03:55. | :03:58.
From the government's side, it would take a | :03:59. | :04:03.
terrific amount of money to clear it out. | :04:04. | :04:06.
It is a problem that is shelved I guess. | :04:07. | :04:11.
The Health and Safety Executive says seven people in our region | :04:12. | :04:17.
who worked in teaching have died from Mesothelioma cancer | :04:18. | :04:20.
She spent her payment on cancer treatment that wasn't | :04:21. | :04:31.
Mike, the government is proposing further action on asbestos . | :04:32. | :04:39.
Well they published a policx review last year and that outlined a number | :04:40. | :04:46.
One of them was to get bettdr evidence of asbestos in schools | :04:47. | :04:53.
They also want to increase the scrutiny on the people | :04:54. | :04:59.
who have a duty to manage asbestos in their schools. | :05:00. | :05:01.
The education secretary Justine Greening was in Derby | :05:02. | :05:03.
Overwhelmingly, there are some cases where the advice is it is f`r better | :05:04. | :05:20.
to leave the amount that is there. It is the dust that causes the | :05:21. | :05:23.
health problems for people. We take our advice from the expert follow | :05:24. | :05:28.
that up but as the work we did last year, it gives as a blueprint for | :05:29. | :05:32.
working on how to tackle thhs issue and that is what we have bedn | :05:33. | :05:33.
getting on with. It all begs the question | :05:34. | :05:35.
what risk are pupils at? Well the short answer | :05:36. | :05:38.
is that the department for dducation They've looked to the department | :05:39. | :05:40.
of health for advice. They say children do | :05:41. | :05:47.
have an increased lifetime risk But there's no conclusive evidence | :05:48. | :05:54.
for a school setting. Things like air sampling cotld help | :05:55. | :05:58.
build up the picture. A cross-party group of MPs have been | :05:59. | :06:01.
questioning the government over plans to close the East Midlands | :06:02. | :06:05.
specialist children's heart unit. A special debate was held this | :06:06. | :06:09.
morning in Westminster over the future of the Glenfield | :06:10. | :06:12.
site in Leicester. The NHS says it's not meeting | :06:13. | :06:15.
standards or performing But supporters and local | :06:16. | :06:18.
politicians disagree. It is also a world centre | :06:19. | :06:25.
of excellence and for it to be closed or for any other services | :06:26. | :06:28.
to be decreased would be little short of | :06:29. | :06:31.
wanton destruction. This is not about cutting | :06:32. | :06:34.
costs which isn't an allegation that has been | :06:35. | :06:37.
made by anyone in this This is about trying to improve | :06:38. | :06:39.
the standards of service for some of the most sick infants | :06:40. | :06:43.
and children in the country. Well, this morning's | :06:44. | :06:47.
debate was secured by the Leicester West MP, | :06:48. | :06:49.
Liz Kendall, who joins us The NHS says that Glenfield is not | :06:50. | :06:52.
meeting and is unlikely to meet new standards, | :06:53. | :06:58.
so how can it possibly survhve? I don't agree with that at `ll. | :06:59. | :07:13.
Independent evidence shows that the clinical outcomes at Glenfidld are | :07:14. | :07:17.
amongst the best in the country that is true for survival r`tes for | :07:18. | :07:23.
readmission rates. We also have a world leading service and a decision | :07:24. | :07:29.
to close the unit at Glenfidld would have a terrible knock-on effect for | :07:30. | :07:32.
things like paediatric intensive care. It is untrue to say Glenfield | :07:33. | :07:37.
isn't meeting the standards already and is improving services every | :07:38. | :07:40.
single month. No one doubts the good work they do | :07:41. | :07:45.
but difficult cases have bedn transferred to Birmingham. Hsn't | :07:46. | :07:48.
that a signed Glenfield can actually cope? | :07:49. | :07:53.
In the last three years onlx four cases have gone to Birmingh`m. | :07:54. | :07:59.
Doctors are required to look for second opinions if it is in the best | :08:00. | :08:03.
interest of patients but it is wrong to say lots of complex cases are | :08:04. | :08:07.
being sound elsewhere. That is one of the issues I raised with the | :08:08. | :08:10.
Minister today. In terms of where we are now, the | :08:11. | :08:18.
that is the uncertainty causing problems? | :08:19. | :08:23.
The unit still provide excellent care. The uncertainty is bad for | :08:24. | :08:28.
staff, it is bad for patients and crucially for the families who are | :08:29. | :08:32.
already going through a worrying and frightening time. I want to see the | :08:33. | :08:36.
government change its mind on this. It makes no sense to close the unit. | :08:37. | :08:40.
That would leave the East Mhdlands as the only region in the country | :08:41. | :08:44.
without a children's heart surgery unit and could put at risk | :08:45. | :08:49.
paediatric intensive care. H will be meeting the minister next month and | :08:50. | :08:51.
I will continue to work with MPs across the region who all stpport | :08:52. | :08:55.
the case. Thank you very much indeed for | :08:56. | :08:56.
joining us. Nottinghamshire police | :08:57. | :08:57.
are investigating after a m`n's body An underwater search team w`s called | :08:58. | :09:00.
to the Victoria Embankment A passer-by raised the alarl | :09:01. | :09:05.
after spotting the man submdrged. Firefighters have returned | :09:06. | :09:09.
to the scene of an industri`l blaze in Nottinghamshire that's bden | :09:10. | :09:14.
burning for almost a month.T he fire at a unit on Forest Lane in Walesby | :09:15. | :09:17.
started in September. Alongside the Environment Agency | :09:18. | :09:22.
a decision was made to allow After monitoring the blaze, | :09:23. | :09:25.
crews have now returned to extinguish the fire completely | :09:26. | :09:29.
and reduce smoke in the are`. The process is expected | :09:30. | :09:34.
to last a few days. Still to come - Andrew Smyth | :09:35. | :09:41.
from the Great British Bake Off And did he really forget to turn | :09:42. | :09:44.
on the oven? A homelessness charity has called | :09:45. | :09:52.
off its annual sleep-out, because it's being targeted | :09:53. | :10:06.
by a protest group. Framework in Nottingham | :10:07. | :10:09.
was expecting hundreds of pdople, for the fundraising event at the end | :10:10. | :10:12.
of next month. Our Social Affairs Correspondent, | :10:13. | :10:15.
Jeremy Ball, reports. This is one of Nottingham's most | :10:16. | :10:27.
high-profile fundraising evdnts It has been running for 15 years. But | :10:28. | :10:31.
today framework announced ndxt month's big sleep-out has bden | :10:32. | :10:36.
cancelled. Up to three and people were planning to spend the night | :10:37. | :10:41.
here in the market. The charity says it has been sabotaged by a protest | :10:42. | :10:46.
group that is going to harass people and it couldn't guarantee the safety | :10:47. | :10:49.
of the families who were taking part. It follows a row that again a | :10:50. | :10:55.
year ago when this camp was set up in Nottingham to highlight rough | :10:56. | :10:59.
sleeping. That is criticised by framework who said many of the | :11:00. | :11:03.
protesters were not really homeless and by choosing to sleep in tents | :11:04. | :11:08.
they risked losing their hotsing. Now activists have responded with | :11:09. | :11:13.
this post on social media lodging the big sleep-out fundraisers to | :11:14. | :11:15.
hand over their sleeping bags and they warm clothing and mugs. So what | :11:16. | :11:21.
they call the real homeless of Nottingham can spend the night in | :11:22. | :11:27.
safety. It is a problem bec`use the event must be safe and secure, there | :11:28. | :11:31.
are children at the event. But our supporters at the event. We are | :11:32. | :11:38.
concerned to protect their safety. But not from physical harm was from | :11:39. | :11:41.
psychological harm. Their participation in the event hs to | :11:42. | :11:45.
raise money, not to get caught up in a protest. | :11:46. | :11:50.
This year's big sleep-out as opposed to pay for more of the outrdach | :11:51. | :11:54.
workers and help people sledping rough and framework says it should | :11:55. | :11:58.
have raised ?30,000. Money that is desperately needed as more people | :11:59. | :12:00.
end up on the streets. From Harry Potter to | :12:01. | :12:06.
Little Red Riding Hood, the Loogabarooga Festival | :12:07. | :12:08.
in Loughborough is celebrathng Well, one man who's dedicatdd his | :12:09. | :12:10.
life to children's stories Today he opened the festival | :12:11. | :12:13.
and Geeta Pendse went to medt him. Michael Rosen has been | :12:14. | :12:21.
entertaining kids for decadds. Today the former Children's Laureate | :12:22. | :12:29.
was the opener at the Loogabarooga With the audience in rapturds | :12:30. | :12:33.
I asked what's the secret For me, it'sd a mixture of telling | :12:34. | :12:39.
it, so being there and telling it but also writing things | :12:40. | :12:45.
that maybe I thought or I would have thought were funny or interdsting | :12:46. | :12:51.
when I was a child. When you are on the stage | :12:52. | :12:54.
and you are presenting your stories and poems, what is xour | :12:55. | :12:57.
favourite part about it? When I do my dad telling | :12:58. | :13:01.
us to be quiet and the way he used to do | :13:02. | :13:05.
that was to go - "the noise". It sort of get rid of my dad | :13:06. | :13:12.
for a brief moment. He gets less big, he | :13:13. | :13:16.
isn't a big fierce dad who would shout at is, | :13:17. | :13:19.
he becomes somebody, Another star attraction | :13:20. | :13:22.
at this year's festival are these sketches produced | :13:23. | :13:28.
by the Harry Potter There is even a chance to mdet | :13:29. | :13:30.
the animals that inspired one or two With so many books on the m`rket it | :13:31. | :13:36.
isn't easy choosing a favourite I like the Demon Dentist | :13:37. | :13:43.
from David Wallimas because it is Frankie's Magic Football | :13:44. | :13:46.
because they go on adventurds and it feels you were on thd | :13:47. | :13:49.
adventure with them. Harry Potter and the | :13:50. | :13:53.
Prisoner of Azkaban. They dementors really keep xou | :13:54. | :13:55.
on the edge of your seat. Festival organisers will be hoping | :13:56. | :14:00.
to keep visitors on the edgd Just a week to go before thd nation | :14:01. | :14:04.
learns who has won this year's It's the semi-final tonight | :14:05. | :14:15.
and among those vying for a place in the final will be | :14:16. | :14:22.
Andrew Smyth from Derby. We'll be talking to him in ` moment, | :14:23. | :14:24.
but first a look at the aerospace The 25-year-old actually designs jet | :14:25. | :14:28.
engines for Rolls-Royce. Last week, he used his expertise | :14:29. | :14:35.
to impress Mary and Paul And his bakes have drawn pldnty | :14:36. | :14:38.
of praise from the judges. Lovely flavours, they all go well | :14:39. | :14:55.
together. This bench melts hn the mouth. I think you have dond a | :14:56. | :15:03.
pretty good job. You have shown as a couple of skills. | :15:04. | :15:08.
And he is here! How exciting is this so close to the end. It has been a | :15:09. | :15:18.
whirlwind. I can't believe we're nine weeks in already. Therd has | :15:19. | :15:23.
been such a long time from when we filmed it when it is going out. | :15:24. | :15:28.
Going right to the beginning, how difficult is to picked. I'vd always | :15:29. | :15:32.
been a fan of the series and watched it since the first series. H almost | :15:33. | :15:36.
apply for the last series btt wimped out at the last moment. This year, | :15:37. | :15:42.
friends and family said, yot've got to go for it. I'd heard the together | :15:43. | :15:46.
a solid application, practised all my basics and then went frol there. | :15:47. | :15:50.
It was a lot of auditions, ` lot of hard work. It has paid off. You are | :15:51. | :15:57.
renowned for being precise because you are an engineer at Rolls Royce. | :15:58. | :16:01.
How does it work, or how did it work with work? How much time did you | :16:02. | :16:05.
spend in the tent? It is mostly done at work -, | :16:06. | :16:12.
weekends. My nearest and de`rest, may supervisor and manager with the | :16:13. | :16:15.
only ones I could tell. Thex were very understanding and good at | :16:16. | :16:19.
keeping it under their hats. Nobody can know you are doing the | :16:20. | :16:25.
competition. Absolutely not. It is all top secret. I am ready, MI6 | :16:26. | :16:29.
application! How stressful is it? Is it hn the | :16:30. | :16:36.
editing? Is it worse or the same as it looks? | :16:37. | :16:38.
It is more stressful than you see. On the first day when they said | :16:39. | :16:46.
ready, set, bake, I almost dxpected the music to start. This is actually | :16:47. | :16:54.
quite scary! I started chopping something. It is very intense and | :16:55. | :16:58.
very nervy. It was like going into an exam for the first time. | :16:59. | :17:03.
Very exciting. Did you really forget to turn the other non-ques-lac there | :17:04. | :17:06.
was a crisis when you didn't turn it on. | :17:07. | :17:10.
I have got a tough time for not turning it on. I turned it on and | :17:11. | :17:14.
when I was trying to change the temperature, they are fancy overs | :17:15. | :17:18.
and they had the wrong button. I turned it off by accident. H didn't | :17:19. | :17:21.
spot it. I know you can't tell is wh`t | :17:22. | :17:25.
happened but has it changed your life? | :17:26. | :17:31.
The fame if nothing else. It is interesting being recognised on the | :17:32. | :17:34.
street. I am getting used to that. The ginger hair probably helps! In | :17:35. | :17:40.
terms of next year, I'm intdrested to see what kind of opportunities | :17:41. | :17:45.
will come from it. I am intdrested to do some baking and science and | :17:46. | :17:48.
engineering things. I enjoy face-to-face interaction. | :17:49. | :17:54.
We wish you all the best. Wd will be glued this evening and the following | :17:55. | :17:58.
week. I don't want to wish xou luck because it is already there. | :17:59. | :18:00.
And find out just how well Andrew got on by watching | :18:01. | :18:02.
tonight's programme, BBC One at eight o'clock. | :18:03. | :18:11.
Everything stops in my housd when Bake Off is on. | :18:12. | :18:14.
Still to come this evening , Another honour for paralymphc | :18:15. | :18:17.
James was invited back to his old school in | :18:18. | :18:20.
Nottinghamshire to officially open their new multi-million | :18:21. | :18:22.
Sport time. What a night last night. Incredible night for Leicester city. | :18:23. | :18:41.
AC Milan, Paris St Germain, Juventus, Malaga and Leicester City. | :18:42. | :18:43.
The only five clubs ever to have won their first three | :18:44. | :18:46.
Leicester got their history making hat-trick against FC | :18:47. | :18:49.
A win that's close to sealing their place in the last 16. | :18:50. | :18:56.
They may be struggling in the Premier League | :18:57. | :19:00.
but as Tom Brown reports, the fans and players are loving Europe. | :19:01. | :19:03.
If I wanted to be anywhere in the world tonight, where | :19:04. | :19:10.
It is like a dream come true really. | :19:11. | :19:15.
We may not get another chance so why not give | :19:16. | :19:18.
Inconsistent in the league but unstoppable in Europe. | :19:19. | :19:21.
Copenhagen the latest team to come from the continent to the | :19:22. | :19:26.
King Power couldron and just like Porto last month, | :19:27. | :19:29.
The quality of football wasn't always the highest but the | :19:30. | :19:33.
Mahrez's deft flick on 40 minutes, Champions | :19:34. | :19:37.
So was Leicester's defending, not least in stoppage time | :19:38. | :19:43.
when Kasper Schmeichel's brhlliant reflexes secured the win. | :19:44. | :19:47.
Leicester are guaranteed to progress at least | :19:48. | :19:50.
into the second tier Europa League knockouts. | :19:51. | :19:53.
It is good to go in the Europa League. | :19:54. | :19:57.
Now we have to go to the Ch`mpions League. | :19:58. | :19:59.
Absolutely wonderful, wasn't it, George? | :20:00. | :20:04.
He was a mascot as well. What a day. | :20:05. | :20:06.
Three wins out of three is fantastic. | :20:07. | :20:08.
It is a great start and we need to transfer | :20:09. | :20:21.
Believe it or not, Leicester City have more points in their Champions | :20:22. | :20:25.
League group than they do in the Premier League. | :20:26. | :20:28.
But questions over their dolestic form are well and truly | :20:29. | :20:31.
on hold tonight because this was another special evening of Duropean | :20:32. | :20:34.
Now, remarkably, Leicester `re just one win away from the last 06. | :20:35. | :20:52.
But Copenhagen face sanctions after their fans let off fl`res | :20:53. | :20:54.
European football's ruling body UEFA, will deal with the case | :20:55. | :21:00.
A couple of disappointing performances last night. | :21:01. | :21:05.
A home draw for Derb and defeat for Nottingham Forest. | :21:06. | :21:14.
It was a filthy night in Bl`ckburn where forest were playing the next | :21:15. | :21:22.
bottom side. They were down 2-0 by half-time. Both goals were scored by | :21:23. | :21:27.
Sam Gallagher as Forest in the black, struggle to build up the good | :21:28. | :21:31.
performers they put against Birmingham last week. They did get a | :21:32. | :21:38.
consolation goal. But this lattered little, having already suffdred two | :21:39. | :21:44.
injuries and a suspension, this happened right at the death. It was | :21:45. | :21:53.
a little better for Derby btt not a lot. Yet again, goals proved hard to | :21:54. | :21:58.
come by for both sides. It goalless draw with Bedford. A point that | :21:59. | :22:03.
leaves them unbeaten for thd last four games. | :22:04. | :22:05.
The town's football team have got into the first round of the FA Cup | :22:06. | :22:10.
They've been busy at their ground today after their extra timd win | :22:11. | :22:17.
And good luck to Alfreton Town tonight. | :22:18. | :22:27.
They are also hoping to makd the first round of the FA Ctp. | :22:28. | :22:30.
Onto cricket and one of Derbyshire's greatest players is returning | :22:31. | :22:35.
New Zealander John Wright whll be back for next summer. | :22:36. | :22:41.
Our Olympians and Paralympi`ns completed two days of | :22:42. | :22:43.
celebrations with a trip to Buckingham Palace last nhght | :22:44. | :22:47.
And the Royal Family were out in force. | :22:48. | :22:49.
Here's the Queen chatting to Derby's Adam Peaty | :22:50. | :22:53.
alongside hockey players Kate and Helen Richardson Walsh. | :22:54. | :22:56.
Prince Harry had a good chat with the hockey squad too. | :22:57. | :22:59.
Leicester's Paralympian Dan Greaves had a private conversation | :23:00. | :23:02.
And shaking their medals, Jonathan Broom Edwards | :23:03. | :23:09.
and Sophie Hahn, track and field athletes from Loughborough. | :23:10. | :23:12.
Finally here's The Duchess `nd Duke of Cornwall stopping | :23:13. | :23:15.
by Nottinghamshire's Ollie Hynd ,who won two golds and | :23:16. | :23:19.
I am one of the most patriotic and there. I love the history of | :23:20. | :23:30.
Britain, I love the history of what we have done and what we can | :23:31. | :23:33.
achieve. We are a superpower now in sport. Just edging out Chin`. I | :23:34. | :23:40.
think that is a very great thing to be proud of. Hopefully we c`n defend | :23:41. | :23:43.
that title if not achieve more in Tokyo. | :23:44. | :23:47.
With those celebrations, th`t is the sport. | :23:48. | :23:48.
The Paralympic swimming chalpion James Crisp was back | :23:49. | :23:51.
With 12 Paralympic medals to his name and a host of other | :23:52. | :23:57.
World and European titles, he was guest of honour. | :23:58. | :24:00.
His mission - to open Arnold Hill Academy's | :24:01. | :24:02.
new ?14 million school building as Jo Healey reports. | :24:03. | :24:09.
APPLAUSE He is back. | :24:10. | :24:16.
Not as a pupil that has a P`ralympic swimming star. And that the heart of | :24:17. | :24:22.
the new building, the sports hall. There is an old barn outsidd that I | :24:23. | :24:26.
used to play my sports inside. On a horrible December day, it w`s | :24:27. | :24:31.
freezing in there. Somewherd like this would've loved it. You have | :24:32. | :24:35.
been watching progress from your parents's house. I come back to see | :24:36. | :24:40.
my mum and dad most weekends and have seen the progress of the | :24:41. | :24:45.
building. It is much bigger with all the equipment. Quite a few of us | :24:46. | :24:49.
aspire to be athletes in future and it is inspirational knowing he came | :24:50. | :24:52.
from our school and he made it. It is cool how he has achieved so much. | :24:53. | :24:58.
I like doing sports. It is ` privilege to meet him now bdcause he | :24:59. | :25:04.
is such an inspiration for the Paralympic swimming side. There is a | :25:05. | :25:09.
theatre and new classrooms `s well. We have amazing 21st-centurx | :25:10. | :25:12.
facilities which students c`n only love to use. As teachers, wd love to | :25:13. | :25:17.
use them too. James contracted polio as a child so what is his mdssage to | :25:18. | :25:22.
the children? There is no smooth path to `chieving | :25:23. | :25:26.
success or your goals, whatdver they may be. Success has been hard graft | :25:27. | :25:31.
but this former pupil has loved it. Great is the athlete and Paralympian | :25:32. | :25:40.
still being honoured when they return. | :25:41. | :25:45.
It is that time of the evenhng when we find out just how cold it is | :25:46. | :25:47.
going to be. It isn't too bad. It has bedn | :25:48. | :25:56.
quieter today. We have seen a few showers but the winds are e`sing | :25:57. | :26:00.
down so not feeling too bad. We got off to a beautiful start thhs | :26:01. | :26:04.
morning. Lots of blue sky. Here is proof from earlier today. It did get | :26:05. | :26:13.
a bit greyer. Not a pretty picture. You can see that position on the | :26:14. | :26:18.
satellite picture nicely. Hdre is yesterday's weather friend. It kept | :26:19. | :26:22.
most of the rain out there, just through as a future was. It gave as | :26:23. | :26:27.
a hang back-up cloud. It is still there into tomorrow and perhaps into | :26:28. | :26:31.
Friday. Not is not changing with the weather. No pressure in the east, | :26:32. | :26:34.
high pressure in the west and that means giving that quiet bit in | :26:35. | :26:40.
middle. Again, mostly dry and brighter tomorrow. We should see | :26:41. | :26:43.
some breaks in the cloud. The odd isolated shower and the wind | :26:44. | :26:48.
remaining light. Not feeling too bad at all. We have got a few showers | :26:49. | :26:54.
out there at the moment. Mostly dry for much of the night. Keephng quite | :26:55. | :26:59.
a lot of cloud so that'll kdep the temperature is up. We are looking at | :27:00. | :27:04.
the minimum of seven or 8 ddgrees. Tomorrow morning at the start off | :27:05. | :27:10.
with quite a bit of cloud. Very isolated, very light showers so you | :27:11. | :27:14.
will be unlucky if you catch one. There will be breaks in the cloud so | :27:15. | :27:17.
we will get some sunny spells coming through. Highs of 30 degrees. The | :27:18. | :27:24.
wind continuing to ease down into Friday morning so a chilly `nd foggy | :27:25. | :27:25.
start. At 13 degrees. Thank you very much. Had he got a | :27:26. | :27:40.
message for the Duchess? Sorry. Cornwall, Cambridge, they are both | :27:41. | :27:41.
the same! Hubby can join thhs later. Everyone's living these | :27:42. | :27:53.
