are among those in our region recognised in the Queen's

Almost three quarters have earned recognition for their work

and to know that these important people have recognised me,

and they kind of have faith in me, really, it's just national pride

There are also MBEs for Essex gymnast and double Olympic gold

medallist Max Whitlock, and for sailors Saskia Clark

Off the water, an OBE for Newmarket racehorse trainer John Gosden,

and in the political stakes, Huntingdonshire councillor

Well, the powers that be have granted me an MBE,

which I'm very honoured about, I think it's a great thing,

but of course I have to bear in mind that we are a charity,

we have a committee of 14, so it's not just for me, really.

I think it's for all the people that are campaigning out

Finally, Harbour Master Robert Smith, awarded an MBE

for services to the community in Wells-Next-The-Sea in Norfolk.

When I first heard the news, I opened the letter,

and to be honest with you, I read it about three times.

So surprised, and thought it probably was a mistake,

so after reading it and reading it, I actually realised,

So, yes, I felt very proud, but also quite humble.

The day today has been generally dry, fairly cloudy,

and on the mild side through this afternoon.

Good evening. As we head through the final few hours of 2016 the weather

is on the change. We've got called her swooping in and there is a

weather front bringing a soggy New Year's Eve. It is raining across

southern Scotland and Northern Ireland and that will push south as

we head towards parts of northern England. Showers moving in from the

North Southwark could be icy stretches across there. Adding

further
