Good evening. Search and rescue teams from the

North West have flown to Bosnia and Herzegovina to

police on Merseyside are hunting two prisoners who failed to return to

jail while on day release. They have been convicted of a number of

robberies in black burn. It is thought they may be in the Southport

area. Search and rescue teams from the

north`west have flown to Bosnia to help people trapped by flooding. 37

people have died after the region suffered its worst rainfall in more

than a century. 19 firefighters from Merseyside, Greater Manchester and

Cheshire have taken equipment including inflatable boats and

engines. The UK International Search and Rescue Team are being led by an

officer from Merseyside. The mobilisation is the same of

which we would send out for an earthquake. So it is what we would

call search and rescue heavy team. So all of the infrastructure in

terms of logistics and command and control, that goes with the team and

they are fully self`sufficient in this instance for up to ten days.

Britain's latest nuclear`powered submarine has been launched in

Barrow. Artful, is over 7,000 tonnes and 106 yards long, and was edged

into the water from its giant construction hall at the Devonshire

Dock. It'll now undergo tests ahead Dock. It'll now undergo tests ahead

of sea trials next year. The Queens baton has continued its

journey around the Isle of Man today. It's there as part of its

tour around the Commonwealth countries ahead of The Games in

Glasgow this summer. The baton's been taken on a steam train, the

electric railway and to the top of the Laxey Wheel. And today it spent

most of its time on water. Kelly Foran has been following it.

and the people on board, dressed up for the occasion. We've taken the

baton, the Commonwealth Games baton and we've stolen it and brought it

up the river here. But it's great fun, really. I think it's a very

proud moment. And now it's in Peel, going round the Isle of Man and

we're very proud to have it here. From oars to engines, the baton was

then taken on a lifeboat before a quick spell on dry land to visit

Peel's kipper factory. I didn't realise it would be so heavy, but it

was nice to be involved in something that not a lot of people get

involved with. It was good fun. The baton finished its journey by

leading out a flotilla of boats, yachts and kayaks in Douglas. It's

been passed around plenty of hands during its time here. We've been to

many different things and lots of different communities have seen it

and it's just been wonderful. It's just been a huge success. The baton

will now leave the island for Belfast.

Super League's Magic Weekend has ended with a North West derby

between Warrington and St Helens at the Etihad. Yesterday of course,

Wigan beat Leeds and Widnes claimed their first ever Magic Weekend

victory over Salford. Warrington Wolves came out on top.

Today 30,000 runners took to the streets of Manchester for the

biggest 10k race in Europe, including some faces you may find

familiar! The Great Manchester Run attracted

elite athletes, celebrities and charity runners from all over the

world on the hottest weekend of the year so far. So many people have

the amount of spectators that have the amount of spectators that have

come as well. So hopefully they'll cheer us on and it is a real fun

day. And just to make sure it really was a fun day, I decided to join in.

STARTING PISTOL FIRES. It was certainly a good day for the

Ethiopian athletes. The men's race was won by Kenenisa Bekele and the

the women's race by Tirunesh Dibaba. But once the elite race was over the

day belonged to the remainder of the 30,000 runners. That was hard and

I'm really hot. Woo! Amazing crowds. Amazing atmosphere. I thought Old

Trafford was halfway round but it is about a quarter of the way. Awesome.

Great day. I think we were expected to go ever so slightly faster, but

we'll blame it on the heat. A great experience for everyone there.

Woo`hoo! Another glorious day. Let's see if

it'll last. Good evening. Many of us have seen

some lovely sunshine this weekend. There has been a bit of cloud and

rain across the Isle of Man, all courtesy of his weather front. But

most of us have been enjoying some warm sunshine. And it's a similar

story for tomorrow. There will be a couple of showers in the morning but

the majority will see the warm sunshine once again and those

temperatures will be soaring into the 20s. This evening and overnight

we will see a little bit of rain continuing across the Isle of Man

but the most others it is a dry night. Clear skies developing but it

is a muggy night with temperatures not much lower than 11 or 12

Celsius. Tomorrow morning, a couple of showers pushing in a cross more

western parts of the morning but they clear out of the way as we

approach the afternoon with some sunshine coming through,

particularly across more southern and eastern parts and that is where

we will see the best of the temperatures once again, up to

around 20 or 21 Celsius. For the rest of the week
