A teenager has been stabbed to death and another has been seriously

injured after a fight involving a group of men and women in Urmston.

Friends of the 18`year`old who died have tonight paid tribute to him.

This road in Urmston was today a crime scene.

A forensic investigation focusing on the area outside the Ivory pub.

Here, one 18`year`old was stabbed to death

and another left with serious injuries.

The dead teenager has been named localy as Rhyan Wilson.

Police were called after a group of men and women were seen fighting

We do believe that the persons that have been attacked

do know the individuals that have attacked them.

Other than that, we are still in the early stages of investigation.

The teenager who died was stabbed in the chest.

His friend was stabbed in the neck

and is in a stable condition in hospital.

Police have arrested a 25`year`old woman on suspicion of murder.

They say that although they have made that arrest,

there are what they call outstanding offenders still out there.

A number of businesses have remained shut today

and a police cordon has been in place around a number of roads.
