The MP for Wantage has spoken of the sense of helplessness he felt

But for those few seconds you have a sense of what it was like.

Gunshots very close to you, the possibility someone with really

malevolent intent is about to come at you, a sheer feeling

It does bring home stuff that you see on the telly,

when it happens 100 yards from where you are.
