Good evening, I'm Caroline Richardson. Church communithes are

being warned to be vigilant after a number of break`ins at churches in

Hampshire. Silver communion chalices are among the items that were stolen

from a church in Hayling Island The defences are up at holy Trinity

Church after thieves came twice in one week. First they stole keys and

returned at night to open the safe is. That attempt was foiled because

parishioners had barred the doors from inside. At Saint Andrews,

communion chalice as were along the items stolen. It is quite worrying

because it causes a lot of distress when church buildings are d`maged

through people getting into them. It's unsettling for clergy `nd there

are insurance claims to makd and we need to put this to the polhce and

Seve we can get the goods b`ck again. Figures show that more than

one third of churches suffered criminal damage in the last year. In

all, more than 70,000 listed buildings were affected by crime.

Hampshire police say they are aware of the incidents and are

investigating. A 23`year`old woman has been

sexually assaulted in South`mpton in the early hours of this morning

Hampshire Police said the attack happened on St Andrews Road in the

St Mary's area of the city. The victim was walking alone after

leaving friends at The Edge nightclub when she was approached

and assaulted by a stranger. A man has been charged with robbery

after three bookmakers were targeted in Dorset and Hampshire. Two took

place in Bournemouth on Wednesday and Thursday. The third was in

Portsmouth on Friday. 34`ye`r`old David Hinde from Bournemouth has

been charged with three counts of robbery and possession of an

offensive weapon and is due to appear before magistrates tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a man has been charged with drug offences after police

targeted a pub in Oxford. Thames Valley Police carried out the

operation at the pub in Cowley on Friday night. A 55`year`old man from

Oxford has been charged with possession with intent to stpply

class A drugs and has been remanded in custody.

In sport, Brighton look to have missed out on the Championship

play`off final. The Seagulls trailed Derby 2`1 after the first ldg at the

Amex Stadium on Thursday. Southampton ended their

record`breaking Premier League season with a 1`1 draw against

Manchester United at St Marx's. Rickie Lambert scored for S`ints in

the first half and is expected to be named in the England Squad for the

World Cup tomorrow. Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw will be hoping to join him

on the plane for Rio but spdculation has continued this weekend over the

future of the pair and manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The players and supporters of Sholing FC partied long into the

night after yesterday's 1`0 victory at Wembley in the FA Vase fhnal

Without the exemplary goalkdeping of Matt Brown, who won Man of the

Match, it could have been a very different result for the Bo`tmen.

3,000 Sholing fans travelled to Wembley for the biggest match in the

club's history. Goalie Matt Brown was soon put to the test as West

Auckland went on the attack. It was a game with not many chances but

when it came, Marvin McLean grabbed it in the 71st minute. They saw the

rest of the game out, desperate for the final whistle.

We played within ourselves for the first 45 minutes. When we wdnt in

there, it was all for nothing. Best moment in my life. Brilliant. Who

better. I am such a proud mtm. Gobsmacked. My team never know when

they beat. They have worked their off and on chances created, we had

the edge on them, but they were very good team.

Today has been mixture of stnny spells, cloud and blustery showers.

We could see showers continting but they will tend to ease off `nd

although we will seek lengthy spells, not too cold. The breeze.

Temperatures falling too far. We have got a risk of showers from the

word go tomorrow but they tdnd to pepper the day. They could turn

heavy and bring the old rumble of thunder but we should see stnny

spells around as well. Highs of 13 or 14 degrees. Thereafter, Tuesday

brings a risk of further sh`rp showers, but as the week

progresses, high pressure starts to build and turns and brighter with an

increasing chance of sunshine. Good evening. We have still got some

very heavy showers out there. For ors we are finishing the day on a

more positive note. Clearer skies to the south indicating sunshine but

the cloud still streaming in further north. Tomorrow's forecast brings a

similar mixture, sunshine and showers although the winds will

start to be lighter. That process begins through the night tonight. A

shattering of showers still possible. Clearer skies across

northern Scotland probably our lowest temperatures here. For many

temperatures will begin Monday morning at around 8 or 9 degrees

already with a few showers around. I think be drier spells in between, as

with the nature of showers,
