Commonwealth Games to the Gold Coast of Australia. That's all from

Hampden Park. And there have been

services of remembrance In Worthing, it was a moment of

silence and a tribute by the sea. Two stained`glass windows

were unveiled on the pier. More than 660 people from the

town were killed in The Great War. The Battle of the Somme `

60,000 British troops. 20,000 killed,

40,000 wounded in a single day. A number of Worthing men, or boys,

who were 15 years old when they laid down their lives,

commemorated on those banners. At Saint Mary's Church

at Ferndown in Dorset, a piper led in a procession

by the British Royal Legion 50 men from the Ferndown community

gave their lives in the First World War and

each of their names was read out. On the Isle of Wight,

there was a march through Ventnor. Veterans and serving soldiers

marched through the town to the town's war memorial

for a rededication ceremony. This event will mix the gratitude,

sorrow and thoughtful reflection that befits this conflict,

which so changed Crowds gathered in bright sunshine

in Highclere Castle in Berkshire for an event that remembered

conflicts past and present. Among the attractions

were cavalry demonstrations, a fly past of nine planes from

the Great War, musical entertainment and a recreation of

the famous football match between British and German soldiers

at Christmas in 1914. I wanted a reflection

of what people did in the past for people to understand

how we can help people today. And tomorrow on South Today, we'll

bring you a special programme. Sally Taylor will be live

from the Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset, as the start

of the First World War is remembered with a series of events

from Lymington to Yarmouth were left stranded

for 30 minutes earlier, after the forward propulsion unit

have qualified for finals day of the T20 Blast tournament

James Vince helped Hampshire beat

Nottinghamshire by five wickets. They'll face Lancashire

in the semi finals. And, finally, there's the patter

of tiny paws at Marwell Zoo ` but this is

the first time they've been able to come out of their burrow

and explore above ground. They're in a private den

but generally I think The breeze is dropping down

and lows by the early hours So it is
