One of the worst spells of whether for 20 years. `` weather. I've lived | :00:20. | :00:30.
here all my life and I've never seen anything like that before. Good | :00:31. | :00:38.
evening. Welcome to Spotlight. It's not over yet ` conditions have been | :00:39. | :00:41.
easing but weather warnings remain in place as well as severe flood | :00:42. | :00:45.
warnings in Dorset. In Cornwall this afternoon, volunteers have answered | :00:46. | :00:47.
a call to pack sandbags on Perranporth beach. Tonight we'll be | :00:48. | :00:50.
reporting live on the latest situation as the tide reaches its | :00:51. | :00:53.
highest point along with the gale force winds. We'll be at Instow in | :00:54. | :00:56.
North Devon where earlier sea defences were breached by huge | :00:57. | :01:00.
waves. And we'll be in Perranporth in Cornwall where locals have spent | :01:01. | :01:03.
the day filling sandbags to guard against the next tidal surge. | :01:04. | :01:08.
Parts of the South West have taken an extreme battering as strong winds | :01:09. | :01:11.
whipped up a high spring tide and sent huge waves crashing over | :01:12. | :01:14.
seafronts. Some homes and businesses have been inundated. Virtually the | :01:15. | :01:17.
entire coastline was put on the most severe level of alert but the damage | :01:18. | :01:21.
was limited. Today gusts of 70 miles an hour were recorded and some | :01:22. | :01:24.
weather warnings remain in place as another high tide arrives soon. So | :01:25. | :01:29.
what's been the impact so far? Well in Looe, some of the main streets | :01:30. | :01:34.
where the shops are were flooded. On the north coast at Newqauy there | :01:35. | :01:37.
were dramatic scenes as the sea arrived in the town. The north Devon | :01:38. | :01:41.
coast was one of the worst affected areas. Lynmouth was hit hard and in | :01:42. | :01:44.
Instow defences were breached. We'll hear from all these places tonight. | :01:45. | :01:48.
Andrea Ormsby has our first report on the damage in North Devon. 7am | :01:49. | :01:59.
this morning. This is Lynmouth at high tide. Many of the properties | :02:00. | :02:04.
along the seafront here are flooded. This woman has just seen the state | :02:05. | :02:09.
of her shop and is close to tears. It's flooded lots of them. Not just | :02:10. | :02:15.
mine. They're all flooded. How does it feel? Horrific. Really bad. I've | :02:16. | :02:22.
never seen it this high and I was born here. It's just awful. Lynmouth | :02:23. | :02:27.
was flooded last year too, so today's scenes are depressing. | :02:28. | :02:33.
Devastated. I've been down here since 5am seeing it come in. I | :02:34. | :02:38.
thought we were OK but then the surges came in and devastated the | :02:39. | :02:44.
shops. Along the coast, this is Instow. You can see the damage. This | :02:45. | :02:51.
is a sea defence wall and it's been thoroughly breached. You can see the | :02:52. | :02:56.
rubble on the ground. Why this stretch? It's thought a boat was | :02:57. | :03:00.
being rammed up against the wall by the waves and the power of the wind. | :03:01. | :03:05.
This is the result. Temporary fixes will be in place for tonight's high | :03:06. | :03:09.
tide. It's hoped these flood gates will do their job again. Gates will | :03:10. | :03:16.
remain shut. We're taking every precaution. All the resources are | :03:17. | :03:21.
being deployed. We'll see what tonight brings. It's already | :03:22. | :03:28.
bringing fear for this woman. Her butcher shop has been closed since | :03:29. | :03:31.
floods destroyed it this time last year. Sandbags did their job this | :03:32. | :03:38.
morning... But only just. I'm very apprehensive and concerned. The | :03:39. | :03:48.
wind... The rain... The tides... If they all come together, what can you | :03:49. | :03:52.
do? We're prepared but we're very, very worried. It's not going to be a | :03:53. | :04:01.
relaxing night for anyone along the coast. | :04:02. | :04:09.
There are still concerns about the wind and the rain over the coming | :04:10. | :04:13.
hours not to mention the next high tide. As well as The Met Office | :04:14. | :04:16.
issuing weather warnings ` the Environment Agency has severe flood | :04:17. | :04:19.
warnings in place for Preston Beach and Chiswell in Dorset. Let's go | :04:20. | :04:22.
back to the North Devon coast now and speak to Spotlight's John Ayres | :04:23. | :04:30.
who's there for us. John. High tide there is going to be in around half | :04:31. | :04:34.
an hour or so. People are bracing themselves. The water this morning | :04:35. | :04:43.
was coming over the sea defences and the sea furniture was being tossed | :04:44. | :04:51.
two were we are just now. `` to where we are. An eight metre hole | :04:52. | :05:00.
has been punched into the sea wall. The floodgates have been closed all | :05:01. | :05:04.
day. They are expected to remain that way throughout the weekend. The | :05:05. | :05:08.
Environment Agency said that the dead the job. `` did their job. The | :05:09. | :05:17.
water came almost all the way up to the top. It will be interesting to | :05:18. | :05:21.
see what happens. The wind will be a key factor. We are going to wait and | :05:22. | :05:28.
see. The first places the storm hit this | :05:29. | :05:32.
morning were the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall. Many coastal towns were | :05:33. | :05:35.
flooded by the tidal surge. One man had a lucky escape after his car was | :05:36. | :05:38.
swept into the sea. Lightning strikes set fire to two properties, | :05:39. | :05:42.
and there's been disruption on the roads and railways. Rebecca Wills | :05:43. | :05:51.
reports. The thundering waves which hit Cornwall this morning left a | :05:52. | :06:02.
trail of damage and despair. This was fast light. Around 20 businesses | :06:03. | :06:08.
were sweeping out the flood water. This restaurant owner feels it is an | :06:09. | :06:13.
all too familiar story. This is the third time has probably has been | :06:14. | :06:20.
under water in the last seven years. I thought I could stop it but you | :06:21. | :06:28.
can't. It was a sentiment which was echoed on the opposite side. Coming | :06:29. | :06:37.
through the door... That is not much you can do about it. `` there is not | :06:38. | :06:48.
much. We are defenceless. Places felt the full force of the storm. | :06:49. | :06:53.
This harbour felt the damage and so did this car. Elsewhere there were | :06:54. | :07:00.
tales of lucky escapes. One man managed to scramble to safety as his | :07:01. | :07:06.
car was swept into the peninsular. `` sea. This family with young | :07:07. | :07:12.
children appear to have been fortunate not to be washed into the | :07:13. | :07:17.
sea themselves. The advice from the coastguard remains to stay well away | :07:18. | :07:22.
from the coastline. It wasn't just the sea which caused damage. | :07:23. | :07:24.
Lightning strikes caused damage to the rail networks and cause damage | :07:25. | :07:32.
to these homes. It has been blown to bits. Shattered. When it hit the | :07:33. | :07:43.
chimney, it blew the fireplace to bits as well. That is nothing left. | :07:44. | :07:55.
`` There is. Once the mopping up was over more work began. With another | :07:56. | :08:00.
extreme high tide expected this evening, and another in the morning, | :08:01. | :08:04.
many homes and businesses are still under threat. Jon Kay is in | :08:05. | :08:15.
Perranporth for the BBC tonight. Jon ` what have local people been doing | :08:16. | :08:18.
to protect their properties there? The call went out about lunch time | :08:19. | :08:21.
for people to come down to the beach and fill up bags with sand. They | :08:22. | :08:29.
need to protect properties. Last night, there was so much flooding | :08:30. | :08:35.
that some of those bags were washed away. They came down... About 100 of | :08:36. | :08:46.
them... The field so many bags. `` they filled. They are in front of | :08:47. | :08:52.
porches and doorways. The hope that this time it will be enough. High | :08:53. | :08:58.
tide is coming up very soon. `` They hope. If the waves crash this | :08:59. | :09:09.
week... `` this way... So far it has not been breached yet. | :09:10. | :09:13.
An air and sea search has been taking place for a teenager who's | :09:14. | :09:17.
gone missing in the South Hams. It's thought he went out to take | :09:18. | :09:20.
photographs of the bad weather. Emma Thomasson is in the newsroom. What | :09:21. | :09:23.
details do we have on this search? Harry Martin's family reported him | :09:24. | :09:33.
missing this lunchtime. He told his family that he was going to the | :09:34. | :09:36.
cliffs to take photographs but he has not been seen since. With the | :09:37. | :09:41.
horrendous weather conditions overnight there is real concern for | :09:42. | :09:45.
his safety. Who is involved in the search? Once the calls came in to | :09:46. | :09:55.
the police we have had a big response. Two helicopters ask our | :09:56. | :10:02.
reading the coastline. `` scouring the coastline. So far but has been | :10:03. | :10:07.
no sign of him. The search has been called off in the last few minutes. | :10:08. | :10:14.
It will resume in the morning. There were serious concerns about the | :10:15. | :10:17.
Somerset coast this morning, but as Clinton Rogers reports by this | :10:18. | :10:21.
evening its apparent many of the problems have been inland. They knew | :10:22. | :10:26.
it was coming ` a tidal force strong enough to lift drain covers. One of | :10:27. | :10:30.
the highest tides in the year is what's causing this. But bad though | :10:31. | :10:34.
it's been for some people, it could have been a whole lot worse had the | :10:35. | :10:37.
winds been stronger and in a different direction. When you have | :10:38. | :10:43.
an angry sea on one side of your house, and a raging river on the | :10:44. | :10:56.
other... The result was inevitable. When did the water come in? When the | :10:57. | :11:00.
ride rose this morning. I wasn't awake! They closed roads along the | :11:01. | :11:02.
Somerset coastline around 6:30am this morning ` about an hour before | :11:03. | :11:06.
high tide ` but some were still determined to get close enough for | :11:07. | :11:09.
that one picture. Inland, the picture was getting desperate for | :11:10. | :11:12.
one farmer, whose farm was quickly becoming an island. 50 cattle, three | :11:13. | :11:25.
horses and 30 sheep. I'm worried! The RSPCA were called in to help | :11:26. | :11:29.
rescue his animals, who were virtually marooned. As the flood | :11:30. | :11:34.
waters continued to rise, they needed a boat to take the pet dogs | :11:35. | :11:42.
to safe, dry land. I don't want to be separated from them. We didn't | :11:43. | :11:53.
expect it to happen again. It has. Nature was certainly showing it's | :11:54. | :11:59.
angry hand today. `` its angry hand. Hailstones the size of marbles! And | :12:00. | :12:04.
there's more rain on the way this weekend. Where will the water go? | :12:05. | :12:13.
As we've heard the weather is expected to continue to cause | :12:14. | :12:16.
problems not just over the next few hours but the next few days. Our | :12:17. | :12:19.
reporter John Henderson has been speaking to Helen Chivers at The Met | :12:20. | :12:25.
Office in Exeter. I'm here in The Met Office ` lots of computers and | :12:26. | :12:29.
lots of displays of the weather. I'm joined now by Helen. What's the | :12:30. | :12:32.
latest? What's going on? What's causing all this wet weather? A | :12:33. | :12:37.
series of Atlantic depressions that have been moving across from the | :12:38. | :12:41.
States since just before Christmas. We've had a really powerful jet | :12:42. | :12:45.
stream pushing them towards us, and because the jet stream is so | :12:46. | :12:48.
powerful, the storms have been as well. It looks like we're getting | :12:49. | :12:54.
towards the tail end of the worst of the storms. Some people are | :12:55. | :13:02.
concerned about what's coming... We've got another spell of wet and | :13:03. | :13:09.
windy weather coming on Sunday. It's perhaps the last really big storm | :13:10. | :13:12.
heading our way. It's a notch down on the storm we saw on the 1st of | :13:13. | :13:17.
January. Winds of 50, possibly 60 miles per hour. We'll also see | :13:18. | :13:23.
between ten and 30 millimetres of rain, so not quite as much as we've | :13:24. | :13:27.
seen in recent weeks, but because of all the stormy weather we've had | :13:28. | :13:30.
recently there's still the potential for disruption. There are Met Office | :13:31. | :13:34.
severe weather warnings out for the weekend. How does the wet weather | :13:35. | :13:37.
we've had rank in the grand scheme of things? It depends on how you | :13:38. | :13:45.
measure it. We've been looking back at spells of windy weather. If you | :13:46. | :13:48.
look back at certain thresholds of wind, this could well rank as the | :13:49. | :13:54.
stormiest period since January 1993. Thanks Helen. So it looks like we | :13:55. | :13:58.
might be getting through the last of this extremely wet weather! Holly | :13:59. | :14:04.
will be with us in just a few minutes with the latest forecast. | :14:05. | :14:07.
You can also keep up to date with weather warnings and information | :14:08. | :14:10.
about any disruption in a special programme on BBC Radio Cornwall | :14:11. | :14:13.
until 10pm tonight. There's also much more on your BBC website. | :14:14. | :14:22.
It's emerged that jobs at the Somerset helicopter maker Agusta | :14:23. | :14:25.
Westland could be under threat after the Indian government said it wanted | :14:26. | :14:28.
to cancel ?500 million contract with the company. The order for 12 luxury | :14:29. | :14:35.
aircraft has been in the balance since allegations surfaced last year | :14:36. | :14:39.
that it may have been won through bribery. The two sides are due to | :14:40. | :14:42.
meet to try and resolve the issue. Will Glennon reports from Yeovil | :14:43. | :14:50.
workers are back at Agusta Westland after Christmas. We have heard it | :14:51. | :14:57.
may not be such a happy New Year. They built these helicopters for the | :14:58. | :15:00.
Indian government. They have already been delivered and nine are ready to | :15:01. | :15:09.
go. `` Three. The total cost is almost half ?1 billion. But now the | :15:10. | :15:16.
Indians want out. It is disappointing. We won the contract. | :15:17. | :15:24.
We did the work on budget. This has come out of the blue. That is | :15:25. | :15:30.
nothing more we could have done. `` There. The deal has been in question | :15:31. | :15:39.
since last February. The Chief Executive of Agusta Westland's | :15:40. | :15:43.
Italian company was arrested over suggestions that over 30 million | :15:44. | :15:47.
euros had been made to the Indian Defence Ministry. Allegations that | :15:48. | :15:54.
have always been denied. Agusta Westland has issued a statement | :15:55. | :15:57.
saying that it does not believe the Indian government has any basis to | :15:58. | :16:01.
cancel the contract. It says it will take part in an arbitration process. | :16:02. | :16:08.
That is a mitigation plan in place if the contract should be cancelled. | :16:09. | :16:14.
Executives will now meet with Indian officials and lawyers to try to sort | :16:15. | :16:20.
out the deal. Meanwhile, Yeovil has to get on with the ?1 billion order | :16:21. | :16:25.
secured just before Christmas. 16 helicopters for Norway. | :16:26. | :16:33.
A message to Cornwall Council housing tenants to "pay your rent | :16:34. | :16:36.
before it's spent" has been branded "offensive". The housing newsletter | :16:37. | :16:39.
was sent out just before Christmas warning tenants about evictions and | :16:40. | :16:42.
not to become "one of those cases". The council says it was not meant to | :16:43. | :16:45.
be patronising but intended to remind people of the importance of | :16:46. | :16:49.
keeping on top of payments. Tamsin Melville reports. It was Christmas | :16:50. | :16:52.
Eve when this family's Cornwall Housing newsletter arrived at their | :16:53. | :16:56.
home. They weren't happy with what they read. I don't think debt is | :16:57. | :17:01.
necessarily related to overspending on unnecessary goods. With the | :17:02. | :17:07.
recent changes in benefits and bedroom tax... As well as the | :17:08. | :17:14.
difficulty for people to find work... I think it's a combination | :17:15. | :17:17.
of different factors that are causing people to get into rent | :17:18. | :17:20.
arrears ` not necessarily spending on items that aren't of necessity. | :17:21. | :17:26.
The article says it's important to budget over Christmas. It warns | :17:27. | :17:29.
about evictions and says welfare reform is not an acceptable reason | :17:30. | :17:33.
for getting into arrears. For that to go to all tenants, with an | :17:34. | :17:36.
assumption that people are struggling, that they are managing | :17:37. | :17:42.
their finances badly ` it's unfair. People on low incomes often do a | :17:43. | :17:45.
fantastic job, sometimes a far better one than the millionaires we | :17:46. | :17:51.
have, at managing their finances. Every penny counts. I think the | :17:52. | :17:55.
timing is particularly bad. Cornwall Housing is owned by the council, | :17:56. | :17:58.
which says the article contained important advice about changes to | :17:59. | :18:02.
rent payments and arrears. It certainly wasn't intended to be | :18:03. | :18:08.
patronising. I would apologise if anybody felt it was. But there were | :18:09. | :18:11.
significant messages in there that we needed to get out. People have to | :18:12. | :18:16.
be careful at this time of year, about managing their money. It's | :18:17. | :18:19.
been proven that this is the most likely time people can get into | :18:20. | :18:22.
financial difficulty, especially with the bills coming in through | :18:23. | :18:25.
January. The council also says anyone in Cornwall struggling to pay | :18:26. | :18:28.
their rent should contact them for advice. | :18:29. | :18:38.
Since the 1970s the idea of offenders being brought face to face | :18:39. | :18:41.
with their victims to apologise and to try to make amends has been | :18:42. | :18:44.
gaining prominence around the world. Here the government has recently | :18:45. | :18:47.
announced millions of pounds of extra investment in what's known as | :18:48. | :18:50.
restorative justice. But in some cases victims don't want to actually | :18:51. | :18:54.
meet offenders so in Dorset a scheme has been running where the two are | :18:55. | :18:57.
still connected as I've been finding out. This may sound like a woodwork | :18:58. | :19:04.
lesson at school, and it may look like a woodwork lesson at school, | :19:05. | :19:08.
but school is a place where many offenders in their mid`teens have | :19:09. | :19:14.
failed. Here, they're succeeding. I was a bit young. Naive and stupid. I | :19:15. | :19:17.
took the wrong choices and wrong decisions. I got in a lot of | :19:18. | :19:24.
trouble. But are they simply returning to the classrooms they | :19:25. | :19:27.
once left behind? It's nothing like going back to school. What was | :19:28. | :19:31.
different? It was more enjoyable and good to see what you've achieved. I | :19:32. | :19:34.
enjoyed putting smiles on people's faces. That idea of putting a smile | :19:35. | :19:45.
on a face is crucial to those who run this programme. They say young | :19:46. | :19:48.
people see they can do something positive, and that feeling might | :19:49. | :19:51.
help them find an alternative to committing crime. In Dorset, we're | :19:52. | :19:54.
seeing a steady, year`on`year reduction in the rate of | :19:55. | :19:57.
re`offending, in terms of the people we work with. That's the name of the | :19:58. | :20:03.
game. But isn't the name of the game also offenders meeting the people | :20:04. | :20:05.
they've wronged? Where are those people? Some want the meeting, in | :20:06. | :20:08.
order to repair damage ` sometimes literally ` but others prefer to be | :20:09. | :20:16.
kept at arm's length. In their latest project, offenders have been | :20:17. | :20:19.
making gifts to sell, but the money made will go to charities chosen by | :20:20. | :20:24.
the victims. Every element, every piece of work, has to have some form | :20:25. | :20:27.
of restorative justice. That can come in many forms. What the | :20:28. | :20:32.
essential part is that young people make some kind of restitution to | :20:33. | :20:38.
their victims. After this Christmas offering, birdboxes might be next | :20:39. | :20:41.
off the production line in a new year ` and hopefully new beginning ` | :20:42. | :20:49.
for some young people. Time for the sport now and the | :20:50. | :20:53.
weather affected some fixtures earlier this week. Dave's here with | :20:54. | :20:57.
news about this weekend. The search has begun today for | :20:58. | :21:00.
Torquay United's new manager after the dismissal of Alan Knill. The | :21:01. | :21:03.
Gulls are in serious trouble lying next`to`the`bottom of the Football | :21:04. | :21:06.
League. The early contenders are former United skipper Chris | :21:07. | :21:08.
Hargreaves, currently first`team coach at Championship club | :21:09. | :21:13.
Bournemouth. But he's had talks with Northampton about becoming their new | :21:14. | :21:17.
boss. Also in the running is ex`Plymouth Argyle manager Paul | :21:18. | :21:20.
Sturrock, seen here on the right, who was sacked by Southend last | :21:21. | :21:27.
March. The third round of the FA Cup heads | :21:28. | :21:35.
the weekend's sport. Yeovil Town's tie against League One high flyers | :21:36. | :21:38.
Leyton Orient is on. Covers have been put on the Huish Park surface | :21:39. | :21:42.
and the dug outs, which were flooded on New Years Day, have dried out. It | :21:43. | :21:46.
sees the return of Russell Slade to Yeovil where he spent three years in | :21:47. | :21:49.
charge, including a League One play`off final appearance. Also on | :21:50. | :21:52.
at the moment is Plymouth Argyle's cup`tie at Port Vale on Sunday, | :21:53. | :21:55.
where the Pilgrims' loanee Keelan Lavvery misses out. Parent club | :21:56. | :21:58.
Sheffield Wednesday don't want him cup`tied. The League Two games for | :21:59. | :22:01.
Exeter City at home to Mansfield and Torquay against Morecambe are both | :22:02. | :22:07.
still on. There's a new half`back pairing for | :22:08. | :22:11.
Exeter Chiefs on Sunday at London Wasps. Dave Lewis and Henry Slade | :22:12. | :22:14.
come in for Haydn Thomas and Gareth Steenson, the latter dropping to the | :22:15. | :22:18.
bench. Chris Whitehead comes in at hooker for Jack Yeandle and James | :22:19. | :22:21.
Hanks replaces Damian Welch at lock. Tomorrow, the Cornish Pirates, sixth | :22:22. | :22:24.
in the Championship, have a real test at third`placed Rotherham | :22:25. | :22:26.
Titans, whilst Plymouth Albion also have their hands full at the | :22:27. | :22:29.
Brickfields against fourth`in`the`table Leeds. | :22:30. | :22:39.
There's been more recognition for Plymouth College Director of | :22:40. | :22:42.
Swimming and Plymouth Leander head coach Jon Rudd. He's been named the | :22:43. | :22:45.
2013 International Coach of the Year, the European Coach of the Year | :22:46. | :22:49.
and the World Coach of the Year for Junior athletes. Rudd guided | :22:50. | :22:52.
Plymouth College's Ruta Meilityte to an Olympic gold medal and the World | :22:53. | :22:56.
title last year in the 100 metre breaststroke. | :22:57. | :23:03.
Of course, the weather could have the final say in what's on and | :23:04. | :23:07.
what's off tomorrow. So my tip is to stay tuned to your BBC local radio | :23:08. | :23:21.
station and the BBC sport website. Let's hope they're all on. | :23:22. | :23:24.
Back to the story which is dominating our coverage not just | :23:25. | :23:27.
tonight but over the last few weeks ` the weather. The winds didn't | :23:28. | :23:31.
quite stir up the sea as much as first thought and conditions are | :23:32. | :23:34.
calmer but they're by no means perfect. Let's go back to John Ayres | :23:35. | :23:38.
now who's in Instow for us tonight ` how's the tide looking John? It is | :23:39. | :23:47.
almost high tide. As you can probably see, the waves are starting | :23:48. | :23:55.
to bash the sea wall. The key thing is that the floodgates hold out and | :23:56. | :24:01.
that the water doesn't rise high enough. Earlier today it did stop | :24:02. | :24:08.
that part from flooding. We will just have too weak and see what | :24:09. | :24:19.
happens. `` to wait. Don't forget you can keep up to date on the | :24:20. | :24:23.
latest weather story on your BBC website and bbc local radio. | :24:24. | :24:32.
Time for the weather. We will see some risk of coastal flooding. We | :24:33. | :24:46.
have Environment Agency flood warnings in place. If you are | :24:47. | :24:56.
concerned here is the phone number. This is the low pressure | :24:57. | :25:01.
responsible. To the south we have hefty lumps of cloud. That is what | :25:02. | :25:11.
we have seen today. You can see that this indicates the strong winds. As | :25:12. | :25:17.
we head into tomorrow, we have still got some showers on the way but the | :25:18. | :25:22.
winds are tending to these down a little. Come Sunday, we have another | :25:23. | :25:28.
low pressure system coming in. It is going to cause wet and windy | :25:29. | :25:31.
conditions. But not quite to the extent of what we have seen. These | :25:32. | :25:36.
are the showers we saw earlier today. Some rumbles of thunder and | :25:37. | :25:42.
some lightning. As we continue through this evening, there will be | :25:43. | :25:50.
gusts of up to 60 or 70 mph. It could lead to the risk of flooding. | :25:51. | :25:55.
Through the early hours the showers become organised. Quite persistent | :25:56. | :26:03.
spells of rain. Most in eight of five to seven Celsius. `` Lows | :26:04. | :26:17.
tonight. The winds are still strong for tomorrow but there will still be | :26:18. | :26:22.
some bright spells tomorrow. In the evening we will see the showers | :26:23. | :26:28.
become quite slow`moving and give us some heavy downpours. Top | :26:29. | :26:32.
temperatures of seven and eight degrees. There will be heavy showers | :26:33. | :26:43.
on the Isles of Scilly. Not quite as windy as we have seen before. Here | :26:44. | :27:01.
are the times for high water. For our surfers... | :27:02. | :27:02.
That's it. Here is the outlook. Heavy showers. | :27:03. | :27:18.
Come Sunday we have low pressure coming in. We have a mate oarfish | :27:19. | :27:27.
yellow warning in place. `` Met Office. We say it every night at the | :27:28. | :27:33.
moment but please do take care especially this weekend ` as we've | :27:34. | :27:36.
been hearing it's still looking | :27:37. | :27:37. |
