:01:19.:01:24.

start. Who is going to kick-off Children In Need Rocks 2013? The

:01:25.:01:29.

answer? Please give it up for the amazing Kings of Leon.

:01:30.:01:56.

# Painted faces Fill the places I can't reach

:01:57.:02:10.

# Countless lovers under cover of the street

:02:11.:02:39.

# Off in the night, while you live it up, I'm off to sleep

:02:40.:03:28.

# Waging wars to shape the poet and the beat

:03:29.:03:34.

# Always looking down at all I see. #

:03:35.:05:12.

Wasn't that incredible, the Kings of Leon? What a start to the show. They

:05:13.:05:29.

will be back. There's been a lot of talk about this gig and what we may

:05:30.:05:34.

or may not have in store. Fearne, cue the big tease. There is someone

:05:35.:05:38.

here who will be performing who the rest of the artists cannot believe

:05:39.:05:45.

has come out to play. Woah! She speaks the truth. Before that, who

:05:46.:05:48.

is next? We have got four young ladies who burst on to our screens

:05:49.:05:52.

two years ago and have been taking America by storm with some of their

:05:53.:05:56.

biggest hits. Please welcome Little Mix.

:05:57.:06:19.

# She captures her reflection then she throws the mirror to the floor

:06:20.:06:27.

# Her image is distorted screaming is it worth it anymore?

:06:28.:06:29.

# No # Are you scared of the things that

:06:30.:06:33.

they might put you through? # Does it make you wanna hide the

:06:34.:06:40.

inner you? # Oh no

:06:41.:06:47.

# You're not the only one to let them criticise

:06:48.:06:49.

# You're untouchable when you realise

:06:50.:06:53.

# Oh, oh, oh # Change, change your life take it

:06:54.:06:56.

all # We're gonna stick together

:06:57.:07:04.

# Know we'll get through it all # Change, change your life take it

:07:05.:07:08.

:07:09.:07:16.

you've always known # Become what you've always known. #

:07:17.:07:34.

# Does he tell you he loves you # When you least expect it?

:07:35.:07:40.

# Does he flutter your heart # When he kisses your neck?

:07:41.:07:44.

# No scientist # Or biology

:07:45.:07:47.

# It's obvious # When he's holding me

:07:48.:07:51.

# It's only natural that I'm so affected

:07:52.:07:52.

# Oh # And my heart won't beat again

:07:53.:08:02.

# If I can't feel him in my veins # No need to question

:08:03.:08:04.

# I already know # It's in his DNA, D-D-D-DNA

:08:05.:08:11.

# It's in his DNA # And he just takes my breath away

:08:12.:08:16.

# B-b-b-breath away # I feel it every day

:08:17.:08:24.

# And that's what makes a man # Not hard to understand

:08:25.:08:26.

# Perfect in every way # I see it in his face

:08:27.:08:30.

# Nothing more to say # It's in his D-D-D-DNA. #

:08:31.:08:44.

# Mama told me not to waste my life # She said spread your swings my

:08:45.:08:50.

little butterfly # Don't let what they say keep you

:08:51.:08:53.

up at night # And if they give you

:08:54.:08:58.

# Then they can walk on by # My feet, feet can't touch the

:08:59.:09:00.

ground # And I can't hear a sound

:09:01.:09:04.

# But you just keep on running up your mouth

:09:05.:09:06.

# Yeah # Walk, walk on over there

:09:07.:09:12.

# Cause I'm too fly to care, oh yeah # Your words don't mean a thing

:09:13.:09:20.

# I'm not listening # Keep talking, all I know is, yeah

:09:21.:09:26.

# Mama told me not to waste my life # She said spread your wings my

:09:27.:09:28.

little butterfly # Don't let what they say keep you

:09:29.:09:32.

up at night # And they can't detain you

:09:33.:09:37.

# Cause wings are made to fly # And we don't let nobody bring us

:09:38.:09:41.

down # No matter what you say it won't

:09:42.:09:45.

hurt me # Don't matter if I fall from the

:09:46.:09:48.

sky # These wings are made to fly. #

:09:49.:10:05.

# We don't let nobody bring us down # No matter what you say it won't

:10:06.:10:10.

hurt me # These wings are made to fly. #

:10:11.:10:21.

Are you ready for more music? You ready? OK. Our next duo were snapped

:10:22.:10:32.

up after their bedroom demos went viral. They are raring to go so we

:10:33.:10:38.

:10:39.:10:49.

# Plus it's bright and brilliant Kinda how I like my women

:10:50.:10:57.

:13:11.:13:14.

# Let's skip Let's skip to the good bit. #

:13:15.:13:57.

a very good reason why Rizzle Kicks are doing this tonight, so let's

:13:58.:14:14.

take a look at a film about a remarkable little girl whose life

:14:15.:14:18.

has been transformed. Thanks to your generosity.

:14:19.:14:26.

Good girl. Daisy is amazing. She's sunshine. At four-years-old, this

:14:27.:14:39.

little girl has faced more challenges than most of us would

:14:40.:14:43.

experience in a lifetime. Daisy has Down's syndrome and was born with a

:14:44.:14:48.

hole in her heart. She also has an unstable spine. This means she has

:14:49.:14:52.

to wear a protective collar 24 hours a day. She is vulnerable being

:14:53.:15:00.

knocked over, that could be very serious. She is very fragile. Even

:15:01.:15:05.

with the collar on, we live in terror, really, of what could

:15:06.:15:12.

happen. Added to this, Daisy's speech is limited. Her sister can

:15:13.:15:16.

understand her, but other children find it difficult. With all these

:15:17.:15:21.

problems, ordinary playgroups are out of the question. She desperately

:15:22.:15:26.

wants to interact with everybody, but gets frustrated by the fact that

:15:27.:15:30.

she can't always do it. She can't make herself understood. Thanks to

:15:31.:15:36.

your help, she has somewhere to go where she is understood. Every week,

:15:37.:15:45.

she comes here to Speech Sign and Song. A music group for children

:15:46.:15:49.

with communication difficulties, supported by Children In Need.

:15:50.:15:56.

Hello, Daisy. Good singing! And good signing. It is perfect for Daisy. It

:15:57.:16:02.

is time for listening. A place where she feels safe and can learn at her

:16:03.:16:07.

own pace. It is all very interactive. The children are

:16:08.:16:11.

expected to do lots and they do purely because they think they are

:16:12.:16:13.

there to have fun. They don't realise they are learning. She is

:16:14.:16:17.

more confident. She is more outgoing. She loves it. It is just

:16:18.:16:24.

helped her develop as a child in a way that she needs to to equip her

:16:25.:16:28.

for school. She has changed massively. She's overcome such a lot

:16:29.:16:33.

and she is learning to achieve such a lot against all the odds. Speech

:16:34.:16:40.

Sign and Song has made such a difference to Daisy. With your

:16:41.:16:44.

support, these groups can help many more children like her. We would

:16:45.:16:54.

like to remind you the brilliant thing about BBC Children In Need is

:16:55.:17:02.

every single pound you donate is spent on helping children like

:17:03.:17:08.

Daisy. If you would like to help us, we can help more children. To donate

:17:09.:17:14.

?5, text "DONATE" to 70705. Text messages will cost ?5. ?5 will go to

Now, a random fact from Fearne. Our next act once performed on The Great

:17:30.:17:35.

Wall of China. There you go! With an incredible five number one albums,

:17:36.:17:37.

here is Keane! # And I can see the pain in your

:17:38.:18:02.

eyes # That I'm trying to make a move

:18:03.:18:33.

:20:05.:20:45.

and remember my name Still to come: Robbie Williams, more

:20:46.:21:30.

superstar surprises, Dizzee Rascal, Bastille, The Wanted and the legend

:21:31.:21:34.

that is Barry Manilow! CROWD: Barry Manilow! That is all

:21:35.:21:38.

still to come. The party continues with a young man who simply oozes

:21:39.:21:42.

talent, a British singer-songwriter who went from composing songs at 13,

:21:43.:21:48.

to having a number one hit album by the time he was only 22. Please,

:21:49.:21:54.

give it up for Tom Odell toed. -- Tom Odell.

:21:55.:22:19.

I'd like to invite a very special friend of mine, ladies and

:22:20.:25:37.

gentlemen, Nicole Scherzinger. # All I want to do

:25:38.:26:18.

is wash your clothes # And I can tell by the way

:26:19.:27:04.

you walk that walk # And I can hear by the way

:27:05.:27:42.

you talk that talk # And I can know

by the way you treat your girl # That I could give you all

the loving in the whole wide world # All I want you to do

:27:53.:27:57.

is to bake your bread # Just to make sure

:27:58.:28:02.

that you're well fed # And I can tell

:28:45.:28:49.

the loving in the whole wide world Tom Odell, everybody. Nicole

:28:50.:29:20.

Scherzinger. Let's hear it for Tom Odell and

:29:21.:30:03.

Nicole Scherzinger! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:30:04.:30:13.

That was incredible! When you are organising a big charity rock

:30:14.:30:17.

concert, you need to book some big acts. What would you do first? If

:30:18.:30:21.

you are Gary Barlow, you rope in one of your mates and if one of your

:30:22.:30:25.

mates happens to be Robbie Williams, all the better! Seriously, how would

:30:26.:30:32.

you say no to Captain Barlow? Guy Chambers is on piano. Please big it

:30:33.:30:35.

up, if you haven't already, for Robbie Williams.

:30:36.:30:54.

# Another dawn, another day Another dollar to be made

:30:55.:31:01.

# Where a little rock, a little roll assimilate

:31:02.:31:09.

# And I don't care what you think you know

:31:10.:31:13.

# I made it easy to be me So yeah, it's easy to be me

:31:14.:31:22.

# Cos I make you so angry more and more each day

:31:23.:31:32.

# The way you don't love me kind of makes you look ugly

:31:33.:31:37.

# Come up and see me I kind of like the abuse

:31:38.:31:47.

# Just bow your head and you can shine my shoes

:31:48.:32:03.

# Get outta my lane, boy You're not in my league

:32:04.:32:09.

# Some are born to thrive and some to underachieve

:32:10.:32:17.

# Here's something that'll make you sick

:32:18.:32:20.

# I've been amazed # I've been betrayed

:32:21.:32:30.

# Cos I make you so angry more and more each day

:32:31.:32:38.

# The way you don't love me kind of makes you look ugly

:32:39.:32:43.

# just lend a hand and you can shine my shoes

:32:44.:33:04.

# You make me so angry more and more each day

:33:05.:33:22.

# The way you don't love me kind of makes you look ugly

:33:23.:33:27.

# But while you're here Bow your head

:33:28.:33:43.

Yes! # Barry Manilow. # Here's a song I

:33:44.:34:28.

wrote about my daughter. This is called Go Gentle.

:34:29.:34:44.

# Bitter disappointments Except for one or two

:34:45.:34:59.

# Some of them are angry Some of them are mean

:35:00.:35:07.

# Most of them are twisted Few of them are clean

:35:08.:35:15.

# Now when you go dancing with young men down at the disco

:35:16.:35:22.

# Just keep it simple You don't have to kiss, though

:35:23.:35:30.

# Don't waste time with the idiots that think that they're heroes

:35:31.:35:37.

# I'm gonna be there Yes, I will

:35:38.:36:01.

# When you need me I'll be there for you

:36:02.:36:32.

# Baby, be a giant Let the world be small

:36:33.:36:47.

# Some of them are deadly Some don't let it show

:36:48.:36:54.

# If they try and hurt you Just let your daddy know

:36:55.:37:02.

# Now when you go giving your heart Make sure they deserve it

:37:03.:37:09.

# If they haven't earned it Keep searching, it's worth it

:37:10.:37:18.

# For all your days and nights I'm gonna be there

:37:19.:37:27.

# I'm gonna be there Yes, I will

:37:28.:37:33.

# When you need me I'll be there for you

:37:34.:38:07.

# I'm gonna be there Yes, I will

:38:08.:38:34.

# Say my name and I'll be there for you. #

:38:35.:38:54.

Alright! The word on the street is that Robbie may well be back later

:38:55.:39:24.

on in the show. But that could be one of the surprises we are not

:39:25.:39:28.

supposed to know about. OK. Alright. Better move on. Let's. Our next

:39:29.:39:33.

artist has wowed the White House and sung by royal appointment at

:39:34.:39:38.

Buckingham Palace and she is here tonight for Children In Need Rocks.

:39:39.:39:40.

It is Ellie Goulding. # We, we don't have to worry

:39:41.:39:56.

'bout nothing # Cos we got the fire and we're

:39:57.:40:01.

burning one hell of a something # They, they gonna see us

:40:02.:40:07.

from outer space, outer space # Light it up like we're the stars

:40:08.:40:12.

of the human race, human race # When the light's turning down

:40:13.:40:18.

They don't know what they heard # Strike the match, play it loud

:40:19.:40:23.

Giving love to the world # We'll be raising our hands

:40:24.:40:28.

Shining up to the sky # And we gonna let it

:40:29.:40:34.

burn, burn, burn, burn # We gonna let it

:40:35.:40:42.

burn, burn, burn, burn # We just wanna be right now,

:40:43.:40:53.

r-r-right now # And what we see is everybody's

:40:54.:40:58.

on the floor acting crazy # Music's on, I'm waking up

:40:59.:41:00.

We stop the vibe and we bump it up # And it's over now, we got the love

:41:01.:41:08.

There's no secret now, no secret now # When the light's turning down

:41:09.:41:14.

They don't know what they heard # Strike the match, play it loud

:41:15.:41:18.

Giving love to the world # We'll be raising our hands

:41:19.:41:24.

Shining up to the sky # And we gonna let it

:41:25.:41:29.

burn, burn, burn, burn # We gonna let it

:41:30.:41:38.

burn, burn, burn, burn # When the light's turning down

:41:39.:41:48.

They don't know what they heard # Strike the match, play it loud

:41:49.:41:51.

Giving love to the world # We gonna let it

:41:52.:41:56.

burn, burn, burn, burn # We can light it up, up, up

:41:57.:42:02.

So they can't put it out, out, out # When the light's turning down

:42:03.:42:31.

They don't know what they heard # Strike the match, play it loud

:42:32.:42:35.

Giving love to the world # We'll be raising our hands

:42:36.:42:42.

Shining up to the sky # And we gonna let it

:42:43.:42:46.

burn, burn, burn, burn # We gonna let it

:42:47.:42:56.

burn, burn, burn, burn # When the light's turning down

:42:57.:43:05.

They don't know what they heard # Strike the match, play it loud

:43:06.:43:09.

Giving love to the world # We'll be raising our hands

:43:10.:43:12.

Shining up to the sky The wonderful Ellie Goulding, who

:43:13.:43:47.

will also be performing the official Children In Need single How Long

:43:48.:43:49.

Will I Love You? On tomorrow's appeal show which starts on BBC One

:43:50.:43:57.

at 7.30pm. Can you get me in? It is unlikely. Mr Gary Barlow has

:43:58.:44:05.

arranged tonight, which is no mean feat. What he didn't realise, until

:44:06.:44:10.

recently, is just how urgently your donations are needed. However, that

:44:11.:44:14.

all changed two weeks' ago when he went to visit a children's hospice

:44:15.:44:21.

in Coventry called Zoe's Place. Zoe's Place is one of 15 children's

:44:22.:44:26.

hospices around the UK that is supported by Children In Need. They

:44:27.:44:31.

care for very young children with life-limiting conditions. Good

:44:32.:44:37.

morning, everyone. This is Jamie. Jamie. I like these shoes! I think

:44:38.:44:42.

my little four-year-old would like these. Jamie comes here, she gets to

:44:43.:44:47.

mix with all the other children. We know she is in excellent hands. You

:44:48.:44:51.

can bring her here and not worry about her? Absolutely. It is a very

:44:52.:45:00.

special place. This is Alex. Alex. Hey there. It is nice to be able to

:45:01.:45:05.

come here and know that he is going to be safe and well looked after and

:45:06.:45:10.

they care for him just as much as we do. What we would do without them, I

:45:11.:45:13.

don't know. As you can see, he is a bit of a charmer, especially with

:45:14.:45:18.

blond ladies. Is that right? Oh yes. Great. He says, "I'm Gary Barlow!"

:45:19.:45:33.

No! You are Charlie. He was nine weeks old when he discovered he had

:45:34.:45:37.

no immune system. They said he would live six to 12 months. He had to

:45:38.:45:41.

live in hospital for nearly two years. For him having all those

:45:42.:45:44.

years without meeting other children, to come here must be

:45:45.:45:49.

amazing? Yeah. They are so loving and caring. He is so happy every

:45:50.:45:53.

time he comes. It gives our family a chance to be a family. Can I do some

:45:54.:45:57.

sign? It's an owl! How much does a place like this

:45:58.:46:13.

need? The majority of it is purely through donations. Without that

:46:14.:46:17.

funding, families would have nowhere to go. How often is it open? Four

:46:18.:46:23.

days a week. That is getting a bit less and less. Is it? It is

:46:24.:46:28.

diminishing already? Yes. The idea of somewhere like this closing

:46:29.:46:31.

cannot happen. I can't, no. It can't. I have to be honest, I wasn't

:46:32.:46:38.

looking forward to today that much. It's a hospice, I think it just

:46:39.:46:43.

conjures up these ideas of it being a place with no hope and I have

:46:44.:46:48.

experienced a total opposite. I think the children that we have met

:46:49.:46:53.

are inspirational. The parents are fighters. They are people who are

:46:54.:46:57.

getting on with life. They genuinely lean on this place. I look at

:46:58.:47:02.

somewhere like this and I'm shocked in a way to find out how heavily

:47:03.:47:07.

they rely on donations and so it is up to us, it is up to you out there

:47:08.:47:12.

to just be as generous as you can, you know, when you see these faces,

:47:13.:47:18.

it makes it real, it really does. We can help. Gary couldn't have put it

:47:19.:47:25.

better. We will say it again. Your help is urgently needed. You have

:47:26.:47:29.

been so brilliant before. If you can be again, give any amount online, or

:47:30.:47:35.

via PayPal. All the details are at bbc.co.uk/pudsey. Or if you can

:47:36.:47:41.

donate ?5, text "DONATE" to 70705. Text messages will cost ?5 plus your

:47:42.:47:47.

standard network charge and ?5 will go to Children In Need. For full

:47:48.:47:50.

terms and conditions, go to bbc.co.uk/pudsey. Right, time to

:47:51.:47:58.

give you some value for your money - that is our part of the deal. This

:47:59.:48:03.

superstar has chosen a song especially for the occasion with

:48:04.:48:10.

What Good Am I? - please welcome the one and only Sir Tom Jones.

:48:11.:48:35.

# If I shut myself off so I can't hear you cry

:48:36.:49:02.

# What good am I then to the others and me?

:49:03.:50:48.

# And I laugh in the face of what sorrow brings

:50:49.:51:34.

Sir Tom Jones! Wow! OK, I've just been backstage and met one of my

:51:35.:52:37.

idols. He hasn't performed in the UK for over 30 years. Gary's worked his

:52:38.:52:43.

magic because he's as much of a fan as ELO as I am. Chris, you have

:52:44.:52:49.

basically said out loud one of our massive secrets. Jeff Lynne will be

:52:50.:52:53.

on stage later. In that case, I might as well say he is going to be

:52:54.:52:58.

performing Mr Blue Sky as well. Right here on BBC One. Now, a band

:52:59.:53:03.

who are about to make a lot of noise, it is a beefed-up Bastille.

Children In Need Rocks 2013. One more time for Dizzee Rascal!

:59:49.:00:22.

Alright. Get ready for a superstar. He's sold over 80 million records

:00:23.:00:28.

worldwide and has 29 platinum albums to date, alongside a string of

:00:29.:00:33.

number one hits! Rolling Stone magazine called him a giant among

:00:34.:00:37.

entertainers, the showman of our generation, which his fanilows will

:00:38.:00:44.

agree with. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it is the one, the

:06:29.:06:43.

the wonder of all of you # Oh, but baby, I want you, now,

:06:44.:07:20.

Oh my goodness! Never in my life did I think I would see Robbie Williams,

:07:21.:08:16.

Gary Barlow and Barry Manilow on stage together. How about that for a

:08:17.:08:23.

moment of pure genius? That was unbelievable. There is more Manilow

:08:24.:08:27.

magic waiting for you along with more exclusive encore tracks if you

:08:28.:08:31.

press the red button after the show. Remember, red button equals encore

:08:32.:08:36.

after the show. It's been such a great night so far. Of course, we

:08:37.:08:41.

are all here for a purpose, to raise money for Children In Need across

:08:42.:08:45.

the UK. It is time to meet a little lad called Ajwad. He has had a tough

:08:46.:08:52.

time in his young life so far. This is Ajwad. He's six-years-old.

:08:53.:08:59.

His kidneys don't work properly. Three times every week for four

:09:00.:09:03.

hours at a time he comes to Birmingham Children's Hospital, sits

:09:04.:09:07.

in a chair and is hooked up to a machine. I have done the red one.

:09:08.:09:12.

Which one next? Ajwad is on the waiting list for a transplant. But

:09:13.:09:18.

for now, this is his life. Ajwad was two when he first started with us,

:09:19.:09:22.

so he's not sort of known anything else, really. What are we going to

:09:23.:09:31.

do? OK. Go to sleep. He sits in the same place on a machine that looks

:09:32.:09:35.

very scary. It is a very alien environment. For Ajwad, there is a

:09:36.:09:39.

time each week when he can forget he is a patient and be a child again.

:09:40.:09:45.

Friday is his favourite day of the week. It is a special time of the

:09:46.:09:50.

week for all the children. That is the day they know they will have a

:09:51.:09:55.

great time. Singing Medicine is a project supported by Children In

:09:56.:09:59.

Need, where trained tutors help children in hospital through music

:10:00.:10:07.

and song. He is always the first one to start with. He will start singing

:10:08.:10:12.

the songs before they are ready. # The horn on the bus... #

:10:13.:10:18.

Singing helps in other ways, too. We can do some movement-based things

:10:19.:10:22.

with them which is helpful in terms of their breathing, it can calm them

:10:23.:10:28.

down. In a hospital environment, the children have a lot of decisions

:10:29.:10:32.

made for them. In our songs, we do encourage them to make their own

:10:33.:10:36.

decisions so they feel they have got control. Which part of his body is

:10:37.:10:41.

he going to move? His head. It is more treatment, really. It is a

:10:42.:10:45.

therapy. It gives them a chance to express themselves. We think it is a

:10:46.:10:49.

fantastic resource. While Ajwad waits for his new kidney, projects

:10:50.:10:53.

like this make such a difference to his time in hospital and it is your

:10:54.:11:00.

donations that make this happen. The smile on his face. Brilliant. I love

:11:01.:11:06.

that project. You see how small things can make a huge difference.

:11:07.:11:09.

Children In Need is absolutely committed to helping more little

:11:10.:11:13.

heroes like Ajwad get through tough times in their young lives. It can

:11:14.:11:18.

be done but we need your help. If you are able to give ?5, please text

:11:19.:11:25.

"DONATE" to 70705. Text messages will cost ?5 plus your standard

:11:26.:11:29.

network charge and ?5 will go to Children In Need. For full terms and

:11:30.:11:37.

conditions, go to bbc.co.uk/pudsey. Now, back to the music, with a band

:11:38.:11:46.

from Colorado, Grammy nominated. They started playing covers under

:11:47.:11:51.

the name of Free Beer. Focus, Chris! Sorry, you are right. I should. It

:11:52.:11:54.

is The Lumineers. # Ho!

:11:55.:12:01.

I've been trying to do it right # Hey!

:12:02.:12:12.

I've been living a lonely life # Ho!

:12:13.:12:15.

I've been sleeping here instead # Hey!

:12:16.:12:19.

I've been sleeping in my bed # Ho!

Sleeping in my bed # Hey!

So show me family # Ho!

All the blood that I would bleed # Hey!

I don't know where I belong # Ho!

:12:38.:12:39.

I don't know where I went wrong # Hey!

:12:40.:12:42.

But I can write a song # I belong with you, you belong

:12:43.:12:44.

with me, you're my sweetheart # I belong with you, you belong

:12:45.:12:54.

with me, you're my sweet # Ho!

:12:55.:12:57.

I don't think you're right for him # Hey! Look at what

:12:58.:13:11.

it might have been if you # Ho!

:13:12.:13:14.

Took a bus to Chinatown # Hey!

:13:15.:13:17.

I'd be standing on Canal # Ho!

:13:18.:13:20.

And she'd be standing next to me # I belong with you, you belong

with me, you're my sweetheart # I belong with you, you belong

:13:32.:13:44.

with me, you're my sweetheart # I belong with you, you belong

:13:45.:14:06.

with me, you're my sweet Madness! Fantastic. Let's get ready

:14:07.:14:36.

for a band who have been entertaining us for over 30 years.

:14:37.:14:40.

They tend to steal the show wherever they go, they certainly did last

:14:41.:14:43.

year during the Jubilee celebrations and they are about to do it again

:14:44.:14:48.

tonight. Watch out for the twist - it is Madness!

:14:49.:15:35.

# My girl don't read books # I'm a man doing all I can

# La la la la la # La la la la la

:24:26.:24:46.

# When my time is over, lying in my grave

:24:47.:24:52.

# Written on my tombstone I want it to say

# This man was a legend, a legend of his time

:24:57.:25:00.

# When he was at a party, the party never died

:25:01.:25:05.

# May our hearts be full like our drinks tonight

:25:06.:25:19.

# May we sing and dance till we lose our minds

:25:20.:25:23.

# We are only young if we seize the night

There is also going to be a bonus track by The Wanted on the red

the driving force behind Children In Need Rocks, please welcome Mr Gary

Barlow. Having a great time. It is Captain Gary Barlow!

:26:39.:26:42.

CHEERING Gary, what a phenomenal show it has

:26:43.:26:47.

been? Amazing. How did you get Barry Manilow involved tonight? I mean,

:26:48.:26:51.

listen, he's been a pleasure. The great thing about this concert is

:26:52.:26:55.

when you mention Children In Need to anybody, no matter which country

:26:56.:26:58.

they are in, they always say "yes". It is the power of Children In Need.

:26:59.:27:04.

It is. Time for superstar number two this evening. Tell us about the next

:27:05.:27:10.

surprise you have lined up for us? I have another duet with another

:27:11.:27:15.

legendary artist. This young lady's not been on stage for over 25 years.

:27:16.:27:24.

It is part of one of pop history's biggest bands ever. I can't believe

:27:25.:27:28.

that I'm going to perform tonight with one of ABBA. You hear that?

:27:29.:27:37.

ABBA in the house! ABBA with Gary. Get yourself ready. Thank you.

:27:38.:27:41.

Enjoy. We are more than thrilled and excited about this. So, please,

:31:40.:32:19.

I'm so glad to be here tonight. Thank you, Gary. Thank you,

:32:20.:32:42.

everyone. OK, ladies and gentlemen, it gives

:32:43.:32:53.

me great pleasure to introduce on stage right now The Godfather of

:32:54.:32:59.

BBC's Children In Need, please welcome Sir Terry Wogan.

:33:00.:33:04.

Ladies and gentlemen, friends of Pudsey, thank you, thank you for

:33:05.:33:33.

your wonderful support this evening, for Children In Need. I must thank

:33:34.:33:44.

the artists. It's been absolutely spectacular show. It's been

:33:45.:33:50.

wonderful. Thank you to everyone who has donated, or who is about to.

:33:51.:33:56.

Your support will help change the lives of many of Britain's

:33:57.:34:01.

disadvantaged and sick children, so thank you for that. In the film we

:34:02.:34:11.

are about to show you, you will meet a remarkable family who have been

:34:12.:34:15.

brave enough to tell us about a terrible time in their lives. Funded

:34:16.:34:21.

by your money, they have managed to carry on. This is the book that

:34:22.:34:28.

Molly wrote when she was poorly. It is called The Adventures of Ella

:34:29.:34:36.

Rose. She dedicated it to me. Molly was beautiful. She was a wonderful,

:34:37.:34:41.

wonderful little girl. With Molly, it was all about books. She loved

:34:42.:34:47.

reading and writing. So she encouraged Isabella by reading to

:34:48.:34:51.

her and that was their biggest thing, the connection that they had.

:34:52.:34:56.

She would say to me, "In the morning, if you wake up early,

:34:57.:35:00.

instead of going into mummy and daddy's room, wake me up and I will

:35:01.:35:05.

read you some stories." She read me loads and loads of books. Thousands

:35:06.:35:13.

and thousands. In March 2010, Molly was diagnosed

:35:14.:35:18.

with a brain tumour. It was inoperable and incurable. The

:35:19.:35:25.

hardest thing is knowing that every day is just so precious. We could

:35:26.:35:31.

have lost her in a day, or two years. We didn't know. Just six

:35:32.:35:39.

months after her diagnosis, Molly died. She was eight years old. In

:35:40.:35:51.

their darkest hour, Molly's family were looked after by Haven House, a

:35:52.:35:56.

children's hospice supported by Children In Need. As well as caring

:35:57.:36:01.

for children with life-limiting illnesses, the hospice offers a

:36:02.:36:05.

place for families in the days after their child has passed away. Molly

:36:06.:36:09.

was laid to rest in the bereavement suite and her family were able to

:36:10.:36:13.

stay with her for as long as they needed. Even now, when I think about

:36:14.:36:20.

that week, it's the most invaluable time we could have had, just to be

:36:21.:36:28.

with her and say goodbye to her. I remember going up to Haven House and

:36:29.:36:36.

then mummy and daddy told me that Molly had died. And after, I thought

:36:37.:36:41.

wow, she's going to wake up in a minute. But then mummy and daddy

:36:42.:36:45.

said she is not going to wake up. It is a very, very special place. It

:36:46.:36:52.

helped Isabella for definite. With all the pictures, when I look at

:36:53.:36:57.

them, it gives me loads of memories. She was a lovely sister. Yeah. I

:36:58.:37:03.

have got very close to everyone at Haven House. They know my new little

:37:04.:37:08.

boy, Toby. They are part of our family. They always will be. That is

:37:09.:37:14.

why my mum takes me to the local library. Children In Need supports

:37:15.:37:17.

15 hospices, but would like to support more. Please, help us to do

:37:18.:37:26.

that. That is the difference your donations can make. There are many

:37:27.:37:30.

more families who are in similar situations and need your help. To

:37:31.:37:35.

give ?5, text "DONATE" to 70705. Text messages will cost ?5 plus your

:37:36.:37:40.

standard network charge and ?5 will go towards Children In Need. For

:37:41.:37:44.

full terms and conditions, or to give any amount online, visit
